Speaker 1 (00:00):
You're listenings KFI AM six forty the bill Handle Show
on demand on the iHeartRadio fire listening to the bill
Handle Show.

Speaker 2 (00:13):
Gosh so much the way because it t will sound
of break me Dad, Okay, fie.

Speaker 1 (00:19):
I Am six forty bill Handle here on Tuesday morning,
December twenty third. Some of the stories we are covering
well here in Southern California. The big story is the
rain is coming in big time. We're expecting it starting tonight,
and the worst debate is going to be tomorrow and
Christmas Day. And considering there's going to be a record

(00:41):
number of people traveling, oh yeah, as you can imagine,
the Eastern Seaboard is going to get nailed, and here
in Southern California we're going to get the kind of
rains we have not seen in.

Speaker 2 (00:52):
A very long time.

Speaker 1 (00:54):
I am going to share with you and make a recommendation.
There is a documentary film called God and Country and
it's about Christian nationalism. And I use that word specifically
because there is a huge movement in this country that

(01:15):
they call themselves Christian nationalist. Marjorie Taylor Green one of them,
and certainly JD.

Speaker 2 (01:21):
Vance.

Speaker 1 (01:21):
So this has to do with this recent Turning Point
USA's America Fest event in which what thirty one thousand
people showed up and the keynote was JD. Vance, who
has already been deemed the air apparent to Donald Trump
as the nominee in twenty twenty eight, the Republican nominee,

(01:46):
And it's no secret that the Charlie Kirk organization Turning
Point has anointed Jdvent as a matter of fact, probably
responsible for bringing him to Trump's attention and having more
to do with him being nominated or joining Trump's orbit
as a vice presidential candidate than anything else. So one

(02:09):
of the things what he said was in the United
States of America, you don't have to apologize.

Speaker 2 (02:16):
For being white anymore.

Speaker 1 (02:18):
And as you know, this goes right to an attack
on wokeism, this goes to an attack on DEI. And
by the way, I think there is some legitimacy to that,
because there's also a movement on the other side that
does apologize for being white. Because when you look at

(02:39):
the kind of discrimination that took place in this country,
certainly against the African Americans, against the Native Americans, it
was white America that did that because we white people
were in the majority, but it has reached levels that
are pretty scary. Now you would think that kind of
comment would come from some kind of fringe organized fringe

(03:01):
activists at a nationalist, white nationalist gathering, not the Vice
President of the United States. He went on to say,
and this is the part that is the scary part
that I'm going to suggest you watch that documentary, God
and Country. He said, the only thing that has truly

(03:21):
served as an anchor of the United States of America
is that we have been, and by the grace of God,
we will always be, a Christian nation. That garnered more
applause than any other line at the event, and that
Christian nation comment, Man, that was it for them, all right?

Speaker 2 (03:45):
That let's now get into some reality.

Speaker 1 (03:49):
The United States was never created as a Christian nation.
As a matter of fact, it was never created as
a religious nation. When you think of historically where the
US was founded. Were the first groups of people that
came to the United States, the Pilgrims, what were they doing.

(04:10):
They were fleeing mandating Christian or in this case, Anglican
Church of England mandated religion.

Speaker 2 (04:21):
Effectively, the Church of England.

Speaker 1 (04:22):
If you look at it, of which the King, King
Charles is the Defenders. And there's an official religion in
England and it is the Church of England. And a
lot of people here want to have and think the
United States has a Christian religion which the country is
based on. That's absolutely not true. The Pilgrims were fleeing

(04:47):
that concept. This country was based not on religious on
any religious basis. It's a secular government. It is a
non religious govern And what ends up happening is that
has been twisted somehow. The religion of which this country

(05:08):
is not founded on, has been completely twisted.

Speaker 2 (05:12):
This is gaslighting.

Speaker 1 (05:13):
Has been completely twisted into a country of white Christians,
not so much white, well yeah, but certainly Christians and
all kinds of writings. In eighteen oh two, Thomas Jefferson,
just before he became president, wrote that the First Amendment
built wall of separation between church and state. In seventeen

(05:36):
ninety seven, John Adams, President number two, said, the government
in the United States is not in any sense founded
on the Christian religion.

Speaker 2 (05:46):
It is pluralism in this country.

Speaker 1 (05:49):
This country was founded on the fact that there is
no religion. It doesn't exist. The word God does not exist.
The Constitution of the United States. Purposely, the founding fathers
did not want a religion as part of this country.

Speaker 2 (06:10):
It is a legal document.

Speaker 1 (06:14):
It's like the vehicle code when you're registering in a car.
God is not involved in the registration of your car.
God is not involved in the Constitution of the United
States of America. I'm going to come back and explore
that a little bit more, because this is to me
very scary stuff. I mean, I not that I'm a

(06:39):
big fan of religion, and I'm not. But those of
us who are not fans of religions, I would never
cram down your throat that your religion is wrong. I'll
be fun of it because I make fun of everything
and every religion, because every religion has some insane aspects
to it, the Jewish religion.

Speaker 2 (06:57):
The Muslim religion, the Mormons are hilarious with.

Speaker 1 (07:02):
Jesus walking in Canada among the teepees of Indians.

Speaker 2 (07:06):
I mean, you know, it's just it's insanity.

Speaker 1 (07:09):
But no one has the right to tell you what
religion and no one has the right to tell you
this country was founded on a religion when it simply
was not. And here's what has happened in this country.
And it's something that I didn't think it was going
to happen, and that is the concept of being white,

(07:32):
being Christian, and being a patriot has now melded into
not only a political force, but anyone who is not
is really not part of America. JD vance in front
of turning Point USA America Fest, the rally that just

(07:54):
took place, thirty one thousand people.

Speaker 2 (07:56):
Set it outright.

Speaker 1 (07:58):
This nation the only thing that truly serves the anchor
of the United States of America. We have been, and
by the grace of God, we always will be, a
Christian nation. And the audience exploded in raucous applause.

Speaker 2 (08:13):
And as I said earlier, this it's just not true.
That's it.

Speaker 1 (08:18):
It's not true. The United States is not a Christian nation.
It's a secular nation.

Speaker 2 (08:23):
The founding of.

Speaker 1 (08:23):
This country was to get away from organized religion of
any kind.

Speaker 2 (08:30):
And look at what we have. We don't have a
theocracy here.

Speaker 1 (08:34):
The founding fathers, there's one mention of the word God
one and all of the founding papers, and that's the
Declaration of Independence.

Speaker 2 (08:42):
And even then it is only God.

Speaker 1 (08:44):
It is not Christian God, it is not Jesus in
any way. And so you have a country that is
founded on religious freedom, lack of religion. Mandatorily, there will
be no religion in our document, in the Constitution, which

(09:07):
controls the laws of this land, the very basis of
the United States. Would you argue that a constitution. You know,
we were the first democracy in the world. This experiment
of a national democracy was extraordinary. Two hundred and fifty
years ago. It just never happened. Christianity was not the
basis of it at all. It was every religion is equal,

(09:31):
and the government will not get involved in any religion.
So to say we are a Christian nation and we
were founded as a Christian nation is just a croc.
It is simply a croc. You read the Constitution, I'm
gonna repeat you read the Constitution, not.

Speaker 2 (09:46):
A word of God.

Speaker 1 (09:48):
Well, God is when a president becomes president, puts his
hand on the Bible and does, of course.

Speaker 2 (09:56):
The oath of office and says at the end, so
help me God.

Speaker 1 (10:00):
Constitution the words of accepting and declaring loyalty in the
United States, so help me.

Speaker 2 (10:07):
God does not exist.

Speaker 1 (10:09):
George Washington sort of just started that, and it's been
that way ever ever since.

Speaker 2 (10:13):
You do not need a Bible.

Speaker 1 (10:15):
You can simply put your hand up when you go
to court, for example, everybody thinks, so help me God,
and their hands on the Bible or whatever.

Speaker 2 (10:24):
None of that exists. None of it.

Speaker 1 (10:28):
You can literally say, I affirm and that's as valid.
So the offensive part here not only is it offensive
in terms of shoving religion down my throat, which I
don't want to hear, Christian or not, it's the fact
that it has become such a strong political movement to

(10:50):
the point where there are congress people who hang out
the white nationalist flag. There's actually a white nationalist flag
out there, and it's hanging in the Hall of Congress.
You know where the congressional offices are. You can see
a couple of these. It's a tough road to ho

(11:12):
This is where we have gone. Now, there are some
theocracies around the world. In Muslim countries, it is the
only regional religion allowed. Israel is a theocracy, but it's
wide open even though it's the official religion Judaism of
the country. Because remember it was founded on literally founded

(11:33):
out of the ashes of the Holocaust, and the entire
a third of the world jewelry was wiped out simply
because there were Jews. So Israel is very weird. It's
an outlier state that England is a theocracy. There's an
official religion in England, which is why the Pilgrims left,
and the King is Defender of the faith is one

(11:58):
of his titles.

Speaker 2 (12:00):
He is the head of the Church of England.

Speaker 1 (12:02):
But even though there is a but official religion, does
it matter at all in terms of the democracy of
England and allowing other religions to exist? And do they
push the Church of England as a major political movement, No,
they don't. Well, in this country, white nationalism is being

(12:26):
pushed as a political movement and it's getting stronger.

Speaker 2 (12:33):
That's the scary part. It's getting stronger.

Speaker 1 (12:37):
Man.

Speaker 2 (12:38):
You got me.

Speaker 1 (12:39):
Some things I laugh at, some things I joke about,
and some things genuinely scare me. And this is one
of those where this country is moving. Hopefully it stops
pretty quickly. And life is cyclical, I mean it does.
What goes up must come down. Life is a pendulum
and right now it's about as far right as it

(12:59):
can go. McCarthy era it went a little bit farther right,
not religiously, but certainly politically. This is a combination of
religion and.

Speaker 2 (13:09):
And politics.

Speaker 1 (13:10):
All right, all right, here's a story that this is
just it's being described as an incredibly reckless. President Trump
has just simply shut down some of the wind turbines
on the East Coast does not like when alternative energy.

Speaker 2 (13:30):
You know, I don't know why, incidentally.

Speaker 1 (13:33):
Because it you know, it is a not only is
it an environmental issue, which I understand he's not particularly
thrill with environmentalists and people talking about the environment, but
also the monetary part. That part I don't understand, because
we're going to run out of electricity because the data
centers alone are going to demand huge amounts of electricity.
And guess what happens when there is a limited amount

(13:56):
of anything, Well, prices go up, and they go up dramatically.
And that is what we are looking at. I mean,
all the experts are saying that the price of electricity
is going to go up and we're going to need
all kinds of alternative energy. And this is affordability time.
You know, affordability has gone from a Democrat hoax and

(14:18):
that's a quote to all of a sudden, it's an
affordability issue. And President Trump is the affordability president, so
he does not like wind matter of fact, the administration
has said it outright. The President does not like wind power,
and so he has shut down, halting five major projects.

Speaker 2 (14:39):
That have already started construction.

Speaker 1 (14:44):
If you go to Virginia, there is along the beach
just one hundreds of yards, maybe thousands of yards of
turbans of generators that are lined up ready to be
installed shut down.

Speaker 2 (15:00):
I don't know how long.

Speaker 1 (15:00):
They're going to be there, but they're certainly not going
up in the ocean for alternative power. And what are
the reasons why I love this? I really love this
well because it doesn't make a whole lot of sense
to shut down wind power, since it is genuine alternative power,
since the price of electricity coming from wind is dropping,

(15:25):
and it all looks in the right direction. Right, it
seems to be going right where we wanted to go.
Unless you happen to own some.

Speaker 2 (15:34):
View lots.

Speaker 1 (15:34):
If your home is on the ocean and now you're
looking at wind turbines out there.

Speaker 2 (15:38):
I get it.

Speaker 1 (15:39):
You know you're going to be a little upset, but
I love this one. Interior Secretary Doug Bergham on Fox
News said that The issue here is one of national security.
That's why we don't want wind turbines based on and
this was based on recent drone warfare findings observed in

(16:01):
conflicts in the Ukraine and Middle East, and somehow the
wind turbines get in the way of drones. And he
said federal officials are now working with the companies to
see if there's a way to actually mitigate this. Maybe
I'm misunderstanding something because I don't get it.

Speaker 2 (16:21):
I truly don't get it.

Speaker 1 (16:22):
How drones somehow are affected is being described as terms
of shut down as a national security issue. Yeah, I
love this. And here's the other thing that's being said
by the administration, because I find this one absolutely hilarious,

(16:47):
and that is we're concerned about the habitat of the
marine creatures in the area and bird migration. Now, when
is the Trump administration and ever interested in the habitat
for species and bird migration? You would wait, a secon

(17:07):
Does that make any sense?

Speaker 2 (17:09):
Of course not.

Speaker 1 (17:10):
And the issue here is it makes no sense to
stop this wind power, these turbines, these generators from taking
effect other than a political And here's the political one.
Democrats like it, environmentalists like it and anything environmentalists like
you have to be against. If you are a Republican,
anything the republicans like you have to be against. And

(17:34):
the really scary thing about politics, and this is just
one example, and that's a big example, is we have
reached the point where anything the other side says across
that aisle is bad for the country either way. And
as a matter of fact, it goes so far as
to say, if you even shake hands with a congress

(17:58):
person of the on the opposite aisle, there's something wrong
and we have to look into your politics. There is
something inherently wrong with your politics.

Speaker 2 (18:09):
So what do you do? What do you do? There's
a real big fight.

Speaker 1 (18:16):
Even some conservatives are saying, we need the electricity, we
can't deal without it. You know, that's the future, and
we're not going to have enough. And because we're not
going to have enough, prices are going to spike like crazy.
And none of that seems to matter. Nothing makes sense

(18:37):
these days, I mean absolutely nothing. I mean I try
to make sense of all this. I mean, that's what
I get paid to do, is to figure out some
way this makes sense.

Speaker 2 (18:45):
And it doesn't happen.

Speaker 1 (18:47):
Okay, We in the United States have the concept of
due process. Due process means that if you are charged
with any criminal act by the state, by the Feds,
by the city, doesn't matter right to go in front
of a judge and argue your case why you should
not be held to assert your innocence and the concept

(19:08):
of throwing you in prison without due process is simply
against the very concept of the creation of this country.
And there was a bill that eliminated due process, and
it was enacted in seventeen ninety eight. Now, how do

(19:28):
you eliminate due process? Well, it has to do with
the president declaring under the Alien Enemies Act, and what
that does is allow the removal of due process. And
when can it be invoked? And this is a story
having to do with the Venezuelan members of a gang

(19:52):
and the declaration that that gang is invading the United States. Okay,
the President can invoke the Act under twoson a declared
war against a foreign nation threatened or actual invasion, and
or predatory incursion.

Speaker 2 (20:09):
By a foreign power.

Speaker 1 (20:12):
It's been used exactly three times in the history of
this country. The War of eighteen twelve by President James
Madison targeting British nationals, World War one restricting German Austro
Hungarian immigrants. World War two, the interment of Japanese, Well,
that was a horrible story. German and Italian nationals, all

(20:32):
of which this country was engaged in a declaration of war.

Speaker 2 (20:36):
There was an actual war.

Speaker 1 (20:38):
March of twenty twenty five, the President invokes at targeting
Venezuelan gang members, members of Trend de Aragua, which is
a gang, declaring that the existence of this gang and
its existence in the United States is an invasion. And

(20:59):
therein by a really interesting point, by the way, a
federal judge just knocked down that declaration in view of
one hundred and twenty four Venezuelans that were due for deportation,
and he said, you can't do it. They are entitled
to due process. And the Trump administration is appealing that.

(21:20):
And basically, what's the appeal because we have due process? Well,
here's the appeal. He has declared the Alien Enemies Act,
as I said, an invasion by this gang. And now
it's going to go to the Supreme Court. And here
is the question, and that is is the President able

(21:42):
to under the Alien Enemies Act declare there is a
war because he believes there's a war, believes declares that
there is an invasion simply because he says there is
an invasion.

Speaker 2 (21:59):
And this Supreme Court is going to look at this.
And I have to tell you the way this.

Speaker 1 (22:03):
Court is running, I believe that the President can invoke
the Alien Enemies Act just because he can say, I
believe this is an invasion. Is it a formal invasion?
Is an invasion by a country? Are we at war
with a country? Are we a declared war? No, it's

(22:26):
a bunch of gang members that are operating in the
United States. Therefore it is an invasion. Same thing with
illegal migrants. It is, as far as the President's concerned,
it is an invasion of the United States. Ten about
two declaration of war by a foreign power. Now, I

(22:50):
don't put it past President Trump to make this declaration
and believe he has the power. He truly believes he
has virtually unlimited power as the president of the United States.
What he says is to be done across the board.
The scary part is how many people on his side
also agree. So many members of the legislature, the Republican members,

(23:12):
and even scarier than anything.

Speaker 2 (23:15):
The Supreme Court, the Supreme.

Speaker 1 (23:19):
Court is saying for example, that the president is completely
immune from any criminal prosecution as long as he is
acting as the president. Ellena Kagan arguing with the Solicitor
General and literally asked this question, Can the president order
the assassination of a political enemy, someone running against him,

(23:44):
for example, for office?

Speaker 2 (23:47):
Yes?

Speaker 1 (23:49):
Is he protected and cannot be prosecuted. Yes, he can
do any damn thing he wants, including assassinating a arrival.

Speaker 2 (24:04):
Okay, thank you. By the way, the court didn't go
that far.

Speaker 1 (24:08):
But I mean, but the court did rule that the
president is immune virtually on anything that he is acting
as president, and he can argue I did this as president.

Speaker 2 (24:21):
I did this.

Speaker 1 (24:22):
I was acting on behalf of the presidency because I
am president.

Speaker 2 (24:27):
All right, this is KFI. I am six forty.
