Kirby goes tomorrow, Logan Gilbert goeson Sunday. The Big Twelve considering a

(00:46):
private equity investment of up to onebillion dollars for a stake of as much
as twenty percent in the Big Twelveconference, and they're reportedly in discussions with
Allstate to potentially rename the league theBig All State Conference. Soft enough,
he could just give them the moneyand they'd be the Big Anders Conference,
Big Andrews. Or you could doit. They be the Big Dick Dick

(01:10):
Conference. Go, that'd be awesome. Boston's up three games to none,
Andrews. The problem is you keeplaughing at this stuff. Jackson doesn't laugh
at it. That's what I waslooking him. Don't give the guy any
ideas. Don't laugh at it's stupid. You're encouraging him. That's what I'm
saying. Man. Boston's up threegames to none, Game four the NBA
Finals tonight. If the Boston Celticswin tonight, it's their eighteenth championship,

(01:32):
the most all time in the historyof the NBA. About that, Astros
have released Jose Abreu, who's gotthirty one million left on his contract that
runs through twenty twenty five. Baseballscoreboards some games in progress. Yankees leave
the Red Sox to nothing top ofthe second from Fenway Nationals, hammering the
Marlins seven to one, Middle five, Phillies Orioles one to one, mid
four from Camden, and the Guardianslead the Blue Jays to nothing. Bottom

(01:53):
four from Toronto. Raised today onthe road Atlanta, Man, the Braves
have just lost a ton and sAcuna went down. Their offense is terrible.
Seven to one over Tampa bayto forAtlanta. Bottom second from Atlanta.
All right, here we go,five oh five. Let this roll a
little bit here. Oh, thisis such a good song. It still

(02:16):
is a good song, all right, absolutely remember a good song. And
you know I like that song asmuch as you. But that song sucks
now, Uh, Lily is fine? Insane at five o'clock on a Friday
night. Right here on ninety threethree KJRFM, So Andrews, this is
a portion of the broadcast showed whereDick shares his opinion with us and we

(02:38):
get to figure out if Dick isinsane in the brain or not. Is
Faine insane? Right here on ninetythree three kjrff yck, what do you
guy? I'm worried. I'm worriedabout this baseball team. Oh and I'm
looking at what they have accomplished againstthe better team, even the average teams

(03:00):
in Major League Baseball, and theyare a sub five hundred baseball team against
every team except the worst in baseball. The Astros as Angels, White Sox,
Rockies, and Nats. Those arethe teams. They're eighteen and eight
against every other team they have played. They are one game under five hundred

(03:23):
their next sixteen game stretch. Theygot Texas, they got Cleveland, they
got Tampa. Yes, they dohave a three game series against Miami,
so that Miami would fit in thatquad three that we were talking about.
Three, by the way, thenext four three of the fourteen Texas,
Miami, Tampa. Right, butthose are but those teams are all within

(03:44):
they're close to five, right,They're close to they're they're right around five
hundred. And those are the teamsthat the Marions are struggle against. This
team. Now, you wanted meto compare June fourth to June fourteenth,
right, right, will we?You asked me on June fourteenth, yep.
You said you were very confident withthe teams. They were about ready
to play. You said, thisoffense is gonna come around. Tell me

(04:04):
what what it looks like on Junethe fourteenth, carrying the numbers from ten
games ago, right now, becauseI mentioned the thirty one and thirty expected
win loss on June the fourth, and with a plus seven run difference you
said, all right, tell mewrite a note. Tell me what it
says on June the fourteenth. Well, here's what it says. On June
the fourteenth, they were a plusseven run differential. They're now a plus

(04:26):
eleven run differential. In playing Oaklandand Chicago, we gained four runs on
Oakland and Chicago. How about theops? It was six sixty three as
on June the fourth it's now sixsixty four. Yes, so Chicago and

(04:51):
Oakland will we were able to raiseour ops one to one thousandth of a
point, sixty three to six sixtyhalf time to America. That's how he
feel. I feel free. Ifyou want to, if you want to

(05:12):
take a victory on that, youare right. We got Their offense got
better the last ten days by onethousand of a point. I'm I'm putting
a little bit more in this homeroad pitching split than you are. They
are a four and a half eRA team away from Team Mobile Park.
All right, where does that rank? By the way, Right in the
middle, Okay, right in themiddle of baseball. So it's an elite

(05:34):
number one in baseball pitching staff athome it is a middle of the road
pitching staff on the road, itis a absolutely god awful offensive team at
home and a below average offensive teamon the road. You put all of
that together, and that to mesounds like a five hundred ish baseball team.
I don't think they're gonna go fivehundred because they've already spotted everybody nine

(05:58):
wins right when we eight over fivehundred right now, nine, I believe.
But to get to ninety, youabsolutely need I don't think this team
has currently constructed gets to ninety.I think you absolutely need help. And
I'm with you. I think somethingwill happen. I certainly hope something will
happen. But I do wonder whatlinks they're going to go to to make

(06:23):
that happen, right, I dowonder if Jerry at the last minute is
gonna be like, no, wegotta we gotta be fifty four percent for
the next five years. So Ican't trade away this guy or that guy
or this guy. So what,Andrews? What's the stupid analyticals? An
ERA plus that accounts for stadium's opponentsthings like that, right, and compared

(06:43):
to the rest of the league. So I if ERA is up or down,
it compares it to the rest ofthe league. You know, I'd
like to know their era plus onthe road versus the analytic guy. Well,
I'm just trying to find things thatwill fit my narrative factor are plus
and it does, I might walkinto traffic. So here's the thing.

(07:03):
I'd like to know that number one. Number two, I want to wait
and see what that looks like bythe end of the year. Number three.
I'm not so concerned about their recordagainst winning teams versus losing teams,
because you know me, that's howyou fatten up your your win total.
I would bet you a lot ofmoney they win ninety games. Lots of
money odds on that. What's thatJet anders at least like more than that,

(07:24):
oh, ninety plus ninety one plus. Yeah, I think this is
a ninety plus win team. Here'sthe thing. What they've done so far,
with how terrible their offense has been, is like Dixon Fane finishing top
ten in a tournament with one handtime behind his back, and you go
to Dixon and say, dude, you had one hand high behind your back,
So tenth isn't bad. If yougot two hands, you could win

(07:45):
this thing going away. I thinkthey have been so pathetic offensively in the
first two and a half months ofthe year. It's a miracle that they're
where they're at. It's a miraclethey're nine games over with this offense.
It is. It's incredible. Man. So look, maybe Service deserves credit,
maybe does it. But if Iwould have told you back in March
that the that the Mariners would havethe twenty eighth best average in Major League

(08:07):
Baseball, you'd say, oh,they're terrible. They're a five hundred team,
not nine games. You're saying, how goods they're pitching, right,
But they're pitching, Okay, they'repitching has to be phenomenal to be able
to overcome that. That's right,by your own admission, they have not
been phenomenal in half the games theyplayed at the game been average in half
the games they played. So Ijust feel and I'll say this because I

(08:28):
know Crawford's listening right now. Hehates and when people say the back of
the baseball card, the back ofthe baseball card, says Julio Polanco,
Garver, Hanneger, even Rayley willperform better in the next four months than
what they did in the first twomonths of the year. I'll give you
one of those guys guaranteed. Yeah, forty four guaranteed is going to be
better in the second half of theseason. Was totally and he's a playing

(08:48):
better. Let mean, look athis numbers in the last two weeks.
He's fine. But the rest ofthem, so are they gonna go the
entire year? Every move Jerry Depotohas made offensively has it's been a third
so far this season? Does thatcontinue? Yes, you're an odds guy.
I think you played. God,here's what here's I'm playing. Here's

(09:09):
what the odds would say. Theodds would say that their offense is going
to get marginally better, right, but that their pitching staff will get marginally
worse. That's what the odds say. So that, to me is just
a continuation of everything that they've donethus far. And maybe if they continue
to beat these crappy teams at therate they're beating them, which is eighteen

(09:31):
out of every twenty six games, that I mean, that might be enough
to get you to ninety. Yeah. I just look, I'm not I
don't think you're insane at all withyour take. I mean, obviously there's
a lot of reasons, but there'sa lot of people that are are pissed,
that are like, there's guys sayingI'm flip flopping. Used to be
so positive on this team. Wellthings change, right, I mean,
like you can be you can beuber optimistic about the thirteen, fourteen and

(09:52):
fifteen Seattle Seahawks and and change yourmind in twenty sixteen because you realize they're
not as good as we what theywere in thirteen, fourteen and fifty.
That's all I'm saying. I don'tthink this team is as good outside of
five guys, and those are thefive starting pitchers and obviously Moon no,
he knows, yeah, and Ithink Julio's gonna pick it up enough to
be in that group. But hey, look, I mean if you believe

(10:13):
that Jerry to Poto went over inthe offseason, then great. But if
you believe that, then Jerry toPoto deserves a lot of criticism because that
would mean Jerry to Poto would firea blank during a year where they may
have the best rotation in team history, and that'd be terrible timing, terrible
timing for Jerry to Poto to comeout and spit zeros when he's got Logan

(10:33):
Gilbert Castillo Miller Wu and Luis Castilewell, and to give him a little
credit too, Like you mentioned, all of his offensive editions from this past
offseason have been terrible. Luke Raleyhas been one of your best hitters,
and like I'm not saying, oh, he's not overall right doing what you
were hoping he was going to doright, but it's still four and a
half months, Like you got togive him some credit for that one.
But I think it all depends onwhat he does at the deadline here.

(10:54):
Because I agree with Dick, Idon't think this team as constructed as a
real at to go super far inthe playoffs, but I agree with that.
I still think you're in such agood position because you're so far up
in the division and it's obvious howmany holes this team has, that you
are in the best position to addto this team that you ever have been,
at least in this regime. Howmuch do we worry that the Rangers

(11:18):
essentially have the same run defferential asyou, and they get Schuser back in
a couple of weeks into Grom backin August. I think I think the
Rangers are not done yet. Idon't think the Astros are done. The
Astros are closer to being done thanthe Rangers. Yeah, I would agree
with that, but I think theRangers are going to be a problem.
Yeah, They're going to be atotal problem. I mean, you just
got done telling me that Luke Raileyhas been one of your best hitters.

(11:39):
I mean, look, I'm lookingat a guy who's got a seven to
forty three OPS, which is noteven top fifty in baseball. That's like
Pat and my kids on the backfor bringing home a C plus. Luke
Rayley has a seven forty three OPS. I don't even know if he's qualified
Andrews he's not, but if hewas qualified, he'd be seventy first in
the league in OPS. And solook, it's just like the marin are

(12:00):
five and a half up because thedivision stinks. Luke Raley is one of
your best hitters because the offense sticks. And I like Luke Rayley. Yeah,
he's fast, very fast, He'sgot some he's got some pop.
I like Luke Rayley. I thinkhe could potentially. The question really then
becomes are you generally more negative orpositive about the question? And you're generally
more negative? I am, andI don't generally more positive. I don't

(12:24):
want to be negative, but Ibut you know, in the last three
years, my take was, whatthey're gonna turn around. They're gonna turn
around. They're gonna turn around. And guess what, they did turn it
around every one of those years. Now, they didn't make the playoffs every
one of those years. My takethis year is they're not gonna turn it
around unless they have to. AndersAre you generally more positive or negative?
I'm gonna say positive because I'm confidentthat they're gonna make a move. I

(12:46):
think with this team. I wouldbe negative with these guys that we have,
but I still think that there isIt's so obvious that this team needs
an addition, and anyone who wouldwatch the watch them says that. So
I think it'd be malpractice for seeingto not allow that to go happen.
Like last night, for sure, you know this had We had a busy
week of basketball this week, right, so I didn't get a chance to

(13:09):
watch a lot of the games. But last night I had a chance to
watch a good stretch of the game, and you forget how much they flail
at the plate even by not watchingthem for like three days. And then
you watch them play again. Youwere like, oh my god, I
forgot how horrible they are. Well, there's a reason why they fired their
offensive coordinator because now they're striking outjust as much as they did when he

(13:31):
was here. I mean, Ithink it's gonna take time, and it
might not be the offensive coordinator's fault. Maybe Jared de Harra is the next
to go. Maybe Scott's service isthe next to go. I don't know.
I just feel like to get tothis point, with the lack of
offense they've had and how many guysare underperforming, it just makes me feel
good that they've got It's like,it's like when you're watching a basketball game,

(13:52):
Dick in the NBA and it's atie game, but man, these
guys are shooting thirty five percent.Oh you turn around. That's the way
I feel about this base. Thatthey are at the halfway mark almost of
the season, seventy games, seventyone games, whatever it is, and
they're shooting twenty eight percent at halftime, yet they're still leading by five or
six points. And if they canjust find a way to just do what
they were brought here to do,they're gonna kick ass. And I do

(14:15):
feel very good about as long asthe pitching staff is healthy. Knock on
wood or plastic, whatever this is. As long as the pitching staff is
healthy, I don't see any reasonwhy we should not continue to expect the
same thing that we've seen now forthree years in a row from these guys.
It's who they are now. Polancocoming here, Rayley coming here,
Garber coming here. That's an adjustment. But good Miller, who's not as

(14:39):
good? Those guys you just mentionedare not as good as what Gino gave
us. What the Oscar game welllast year? Correct, but right now
Gino sticks. Right now, Ginogot benched. I had a buddy of
mine that texted me about it.Trading months could tell Marte and A Johannio
Suarez for Dominic Canzone, Luis Castilloand JP, what the hell are you
all? He may have been high. He may have been high. I
think recently he just was introduced toCocaine's okay, But I do think I

(15:05):
do think that to get to thispoint, you would have thought the offense
would be much better than it's been, and they haven't been that way.
I thought we'd see him warm upin Gue. So long as it stopped
being forty eight degrees at the firstPA, and I think they will eat
it did all right, they're gonnaplay bad. I hope you're right,
man, and I have well,and I think they're I think they're also.
You're influencing the narrative with's your take. But you know what, what

(15:28):
what is pissed off because of you? What Anders says is is right.
I mean, if I had tobet the house on whether they'd win ninety
or more, I would bet yes, just because I do think they're going
to get help, right, ButI would bet no if they didn't get
any agree. So let's do themath real quick here, all right.
So they're forty and thirty one rightnow, right, So they gotta win

(15:48):
games. They gotta win fifty games. They gonna go fifty and thirty nine
and fifty and fifty sixty win paceright, sixty sixty percent wins right now,
right right, So they gotta goThey're gonna go fifty six. I'm
sorry, fifty six. I didthe math wrong. Fifty six percent.
They gotta go fifty and forty onethe rest of the way to win ninety
fifty and forty one? Correct? What the percentage of winning that is,

(16:11):
I'm gonna I'm gonna is it abovefifty four. They're on pace. They
gotta go fifty and forty one therest of the way to win ninety games,
and I think they will win ninetygames. The schedule is a lot
different in the last half of theyear, that is the first half of
the year. Every major site thattracks this stuff says the Mariners have one
of the easiest schedules in baseball therest of the way. But look,

(16:32):
if you're struggling at the plate,it sometimes doesn't matter who you play.
We just played the White Sox andsome of our hitters look like look terrible
in that series. Okay, Butthe other part of it is what you're
watching right now. Like, let'sface it, Tyler Lockley here not supposed
to be here. Victor Roeblist isnot supposed to be here. Ryan Bliss
is not supposed to be here.Yeah, okay, Sebi Zavara or Zavala,

(16:55):
whatever the hell his name is,he's not even supposed to be here.
Not like Lockler's doing worse than France. Well yeah, but overall,
ty France has a much better trackrecord than Tyler Locklear. I'm not saying
that ty France is great. Andlook, this might be the end of
the ty France experiment. By theway, he doesn't get us, you
know what turned around. This couldbe it by the time the season ends.
But I just think that this roster, what it was supposed to look

(17:15):
like, compared to what it lookedlike like for example, last night,
not even close to what the pototo put together. So I don't know,
man, I don't do it thisweekend. I think they win to
them. I think at the nextwhat is it, ten games here,
twelve games, they're gonna go eightin four, next twelve games, eight
and four. Who's next, Texas, Cleveland, Miami, and Tampa.

(17:37):
You're gonna go eight in four.Wow, and they'll be thirteen games over
five hundred by the time they gostretch. They go eight and four and
wow. Miami's bad. Miami's bad, but the rest of them are bad.
Tampa's average coming average. Andrews,I told you what a record is
against average average. It's below fivehundred. Would you take would you take

(17:57):
seven and five right now? Yes? All right, let's do this.
We're gonna break. Let's let's goto the US Open. Our buddy,
Greg Bodin is Bryson D. Shambo'scaddie. You're gonna keep listening, lady,
By the way, don't give upon me now. He's like golf
Schmalff. We're gonna talk to Bryson'scaddy next on ninety three three KJRFM MI

(18:19):
from the R and R Foundation SpecialistBroadcast Studio. Now back to Softie and
Dick on your Home for the Huskiesand the Kraken Sports Radio ninety three point
three kJ R FM barra US Open. Day number two is in the books.
Bryson D. Chambeau sitting there ingreat position, four under par after

(18:42):
day number two, a stroke backof the leader joining us right now on
the radio show. Is the guythat keeps him calm, keeps him cool,
understands all the temperament it takes towin and compete in a tournament like
this. R O pal Greg Bodinefrom Evergreen Golf Club. I don't know
why he's not wearing an Evergreen GolfClub hat, by the way, on

(19:03):
the course, we'll find out moreabout that in a second. But Bryce
and Dhambo's caddie is a good friendof ours. Greg Boden joining us from
Pinehurst at the US Open. Howare you? Man? Got it?
I'm just here in the parking lotof Longhorn Steakhouse and beautiful Pinehurst. Happy
to be han. I love it. That's a five star restaurant down there.
Baby. Hey. First of all, I gotta ask you because Kyle

(19:26):
Porter of CBS put a tweet outtoday he said, look at this guy's
hat. CRS on your hat atthe US Open today, and everybody's making
a big deal about this. Tellus what's going on there? I know,
apparently, I don't know. I'venever met Kyle, I've seen some
of his stuff. I don't know. As everyone knows, there's a lot
of tension in the golf community rightnow, and he thought that my hat.

(19:48):
I think. I'm not exactly sure. I feel like he was trying
to make fun of me, whichis okay. I responded to the tweet
thing no regirts felt wrong. Sothat's the best comeback I had for Other
than that, I'm not sure whatto make of it, but it's all
good. It's no big deal inthe sun. Well. I think from
the standpoint of a lot of golffans that there's it's almost like old news,

(20:11):
right, the whole PGA lift thing. We just want to get on
and have these two groups come together. How do you see this thawing of
the battle ending up in the nextthree to five years. What does it
look like? Yeah, it's thefunny part is that I saw that tweet
and a lot of people were comingto my to my defense in the hat.
But Bryson's just kind of I thinka lot of people are starting to

(20:32):
understand who Bryson is as a playerright now, and so yeah, it's
when I first started catting for Bryson, there was I think there was a
lot of disdain for for Live anda lot of people that were loyal to
the PGA tour. And now thatthe sides are coming together, there's you
hear a lot of goat crushers goCaptain. Bryson is arguably one of the

(20:55):
biggest names in the game right now, and for the way that he's playing
and the way he you know, acts on the course and the showman that
he is. But to answer yourquestion, I just feel like I think
it's gonna take a while for thetime being. I don't know a lot.
Bryson probably knows more than the averageplayer, but even he doesn't have

(21:15):
a lot to like fill me inon. I think the the overwhelming sense
that I get from people that knowmore than I do is that it will
take some time. I think,uh, team golf is gonna be implemented
in some way, whether it's acombination of the tours or I don't,
like you said, I think everyonewants to see everyone together, so I

(21:36):
don't see that both entities completely doingtheir own thing. So my guess is
that give it a year or twoin the PGA Tour and Live, everyone
will get back together and there mightbe there might be somewhat of a schedule
that Live plays. But I alsofeel like the you know, half of
those events PG Tour players will beinvolved with and you'll see some some stacked
teams and you'll see a lot ofthese a lot of these players grouped together

(22:00):
from different regions or you know, like even now we have we have the
Majestics who are over in the UK. We have Torque who's down in South
America. We have the fire theFireballs who were the Spanish team. So
everyone knows that team Golf. There'sa chance for something big there, especially
if you get you know, countriesor regions of the of the world on
their side, and that's what Live'strying to do. And I think the

(22:22):
PGA Tour is coming around to it. Yeah, it sounds like a roller
derby league. For God's sakes, all these names you guys got. But
Greg Boden again is Bryson Dhambo's caddy. And you're sitting there in great position,
man, tell us about what itwas like to be out there today.
These false fronts, these dreams areunreal. The targets are just middle
school that you got to hit otherwisethose balls are rolling off, you know,

(22:45):
ten fifteen yards off the green.Give us a thought of what it
was like to be out there, and how do you guys approach the greens
while you're out there. Yeah,I always liked our chances going into this.
A lot of people thought like, hey, it just doesn't really look
like a bomber's course. It lookslike more of a plotter's like but I
always told people Bryson hits he hasthat he hits it higher than anyone in
the you know, in professional golf, and he spins it more than anyone

(23:08):
to where you know, as longas the wind isn't doing anything wild that
he can hit this. You know, he can hit his nine iron to
the moon from two hundred yards andhave it come down really softly with ton
spin and uh so that's just that'sa huge attribute. I don't think a
lot of people thought about when itcomes to guys like Bryson or even uh

(23:30):
Ludwig. You know that those guysare prototypical bombers and they can just send
it to the moon and we canfly a nine iron four yards short and
stop it when everyone else is tryingto fill at a seven iron n and
landing on the front edge and hopeit takes the right balance. But yeah,
he's he's drove it great yesterday Todaywasn't as good, but he scrambled
well and still got around in underpar. He's I don't know, you've

(23:55):
seen the last few majors. He'sthe guy is just incredibly gifted. He's,
uh, he's playing really good golfand just keep doing more the same
and it'll be hopefully it gets likethe PGA again to where we have a
chance. So a couple ofds ago, you know, he overpowered wing Foot
in twenty twenty just bombing Gouge's deathwhen nobody thought he could and that hasn't

(24:15):
worked at Augusta until this year.So Greg Bodine gets on Bryson Chamba's bag
and all of a sudden he contendsat the Masters. So what about Bryson
now is maybe a little bit differentthan in past years where he hasn't played
well at Augusta. Yeah, soI got to know Bryson pretty well,
counting for Tony f now for aboutuh, I think it was about six

(24:37):
years paired in the same group severaltimes. Tony and Bryson were actually partners
in the President's Cup in twenty nineteenAustralia. And I though, I do
think like there has been a bigpiece of Bryson. That's I don't know
if maturity is the right word.I think he put tons of pressure.
The thing about Bryson is that heknows he sees what everyone else is,

(25:00):
see what everyone else sees and allwhether it's players, caddies, media,
everyone sees Bryson's game and sees howhe hits it three fifty down the middle,
and he can make putts like noone else, and he has a
good short game as iron play aswell, so everyone knows like if he
can just kind of get out ofI don't know if get out of his
own way is right the right thing, it probably is. All that's half

(25:23):
our battle. That's half far it'sall of our battles that play. I
know you guys both play golf.So it's like he's I think he did
used to get in his own waya little bit and he'd let frustration take
over. He's just a very hecares, He cares a lot, and
he has an extreme amount of passion, and sometimes that can hurt you.
I think it's a big reason whyhe is the player that he is today
and how good he is and howsuccessful he's been. But I also think

(25:45):
he allowed it to hurt himself sometimesto where what I've seen being on his
bag recently, at least what it'sbeen different is his ability just to kind
of like move on and not lookin the rear view mirror so much.
And that's like half of my job. Like Bryson's Bryson, it's easy to
caddy for a guy, you know, from a golf standpoint next to the
O's he hits the three fifty downthe middle I'm just trying to help him

(26:06):
choose which wedge to head into thesegreens. But my main job is just
to be be a good company, keep him in a good headspace. And
he he lets me know, likethat's that's the biggest piece of this puzzle.
And if he can do that, you're going to see a lot of
good golf like you've seen recently. So what is tonight like, Greg?
I mean, I'm curious about that. Greg Bodine is Bryson Dhambo's caddy with
us from Pinehurst. You mentioned you'reout in the parking lot of a barbecue

(26:29):
joint out there, Like, doyou guys talk tonight? You go your
separate ways at night and kind ofhe does his thing, you do your
thing. What's tonight like for youguys? Yeah? We he went and
practice. I mean he's still youknow, works probably harder than anyone,
almost to a fault. But hewent out and practiced in the ninety five
degree heat for about an hour afterthe round and then wow, yeah,

(26:49):
we we just go our separate waysand well, I would say that the
only communication we'll probably have is you'llsend me like a funny reel on Instagram
or two. That's about the extentof our conversation, and then we'll meet
up. When it comes to golf, he'l we meet up in the locker
room. It's kind of it's kindof it's different. He's in the champions

(27:11):
locker room obviously since he's won,and then so there's Jordan s C,
Tiger Woods, Roy, mclroy, all those guys. This smaller little locker
room to the side, and we'llmeet it. We'll meet in there and
go over the pins and just talkabout like, hey, this one,
you know, it's over on theright side. There's that bunker short right
and it's gonna be down wind.I think we got to hit three woods
so that we can put some spinon the ball and all all those x's

(27:33):
and those types of things, justso we're not getting to the hole and
talking about that on the tee.He likes to just kind of know what
to expect, like, hey, here's the hole in the head driver.
But tonight it's just pretty chill. We're I believe we're in the last group,
and uh so we'll I'm assuming we'reteeing off around three o'clock tomorrow.
So just kind of like my jobon the course is to keep you know,

(27:55):
keep keep him as comfortable and callhim as possible. He's got a
good group of people surrounding them withhis manager, is his agent, and
his body guy. They're all stayat a house together and they you know,
that's kind of their gig now denied. Is to keep things simple and
not try to read into too muchstuff and kind of think as little as
you can about golf. Well, you mentioned being on Females Bag, So

(28:18):
what happens if you play well tomorrowTony plays well tomorrow? What is the
first word that comes to your mindif you are paired with Tony in the
final round of the US Open onSunday. I mean, look, Tony
and I have a good relationship now, Like it was obviously you split in
like there. That was a hardseason of life for a little bit.

(28:41):
But Tony, especially recently, it'slike it's been weird over the last few
months. Even we've kind of reconnectedin a few ways. And so all
that to say, I wouldn't sayI'm an overly competitive person, but obviously
there's a large piece of me thatwould love to see them play play hit
each other. It would be thejuicy answer would be like I would love

(29:06):
to see Bryson, you know, beat him to a pulp and have him
walk off the eighteen screen trying. But the fact, but the but the
fact is, like, you know, Tony has a lot of great attributes,
and I always I always remind peoplebecause there's some you know, people
you know it was a it wasa hard split, and there's you know,
business is business, and uh,it wasn't easy. But at the

(29:27):
same time, I always tell people, if I didn't caddy for Tony,
I'm not kidding for Bryson right now. So I owe a lot. I
owe a lot to my of youknow, of my career first, you
know, first and foremost, andAndrew Putnam just for getting out as a
caddy, and then Tony, likeI said, the the only and main
reason why I'm in the position nowand have such a great gig with a

(29:48):
great guy who plays really good golf, it's because I caid it for Tony.
So there's a like I said,I I could lie and give you,
uh, give you the juicy answer, but I would. Yeah,
I I'm sure he does the samething. And I love, uh,
I love kind of tracking what he'sdoing. And I'm not I'm not unhappy
to see his his success. LikeI said, Tony did a lot for

(30:11):
my career and uh, and he'sa he's a genuinely uh a good person
and uh, like I said, the last few months, it's been nice
to kind of reconnect a little bitmore. Well, go get him this
weekend, man, And thank you, by the way for agreeing if you
win to put Rice in on theair with us on Monday. That's really
nice. Thanks a lot for that. I'll try. I'll try my y.
Yeah, I'll, I'll send it. I will try my bad kidd,

(30:38):
Saffy, you have my word ifhe if we win, I will,
I will, I will. I'llpitch him the idea. I can't
guarantee that it's yes or no.It will probably be busy doing who knows
what. But he's got a greatchance. He's like I said, he
hits at three fifty down the middleevery hole. He's proven he the PGA.
The fact that we got to twentyunder and getting even get in a

(31:00):
playoff, you know, he's Iknow we only play three days that lives,
but his Sunday, his fourth daySunday at the PGA was decent two
when he shot seven unders. Soif he keeps just like I said,
I just got to keep them, keep them sane, and keep them calm,
which sometimes is easier than sometimes it'ssuffer than expected. But he's he's

(31:21):
grown up a lot, and that'swhy the fans are loving him even more
and more than it can be.Hey, Greg, I know we're way
late, but we got like thirtyseconds. I just got to ask you
real quick because you've mentioned now keepinghim calm a couple of times, like
what do you do you see?Hey, you want to hear a part
joke like what do you do totop rising? Give us an example of
what you would say to Bryson tocalm him down. Bryson would love that

(31:41):
joke. It's cool if he triesto act like he's a nerd at heart,
and I think that's kind of whoI am too. But like,
for example, we bogey number ten, which is a part five, which
when you boget par five out ofthe US Open, you do not feel
very good about yourself. But heon eight he got up and down from
over the green, which was extremelydifficult up and down. On nine,
he hit it to five feet andmade the putt. So we walked off

(32:04):
ten and I could see he wasjust seething because it's just such a bad
hole to make a six on that, and he said, you know,
I just reminded him. I said, Hey, we just played the last
three holes even par. If youwould have said yourself over the green on
number eight, which is double,I mean, Patrick Catley made a twelve
footer for double from the same spot. If you would have said, hey,
you're going to play eight, nine, ten even par from here,
would you take it? And hewas like yes. So it's just kind

(32:27):
of like shedding light in that perspectiveand those little like you know, I'm
a very half whole guy, andso you just got to remind him in
those instances like hey, those lastthree holes, yeah, I know we
just made six, but like youlook at the last three holes and you
did a great job, and we'rein it because you did that. I
love it. Hey, go getHimmember the weekend, get that title,
man, get that flag. We'lltalk soon, buddy. Appreciate this pal.
Yep, of course, guys, you got it. Man. Greg

(32:49):
Boden from Evergreen Golf Club, that'shis venture with Jermain Curse out there in
Redmond, and he happens to beBryce and d Shamba's caddy man. So
what a job? That last job? That last sounds like every Sunday I've
had with my son over the lastsix weeks. Yes, like you.
You just went one over the lastthree holes. Why are you complaining about
the double that you just got?We all relaxed. We are late.

(33:10):
We're gonna give away a great Rainiersprize package to somebody to take their dad
to Cheney Stadium next Friday. We'lldo it next on ninety three three KJRFF.
Bye from the R and R FoundationSpecialist Broadcast Studio. Now back to
Softie and Dick on your Home forthe Huskies and the Kraken Sports Radio ninety

(33:31):
three point three kJ r FM.Alright, boys and girls, back here
at Jimmy's on first, we haveour inaugural spend a day with Dad at
the Radiers game contest for Father's Day. It is my idea. Rain trusted
me. Good job and it contributedto the show did yesterday. I called
about time right. I called mybuddy Aaron Hartman, the president from the

(33:53):
Rainiers, who I've met one timeand I asked him, can we have
a really cool price package for Father'sDay? He says, how about my
Summit Club tickets including food and drink, parking, and you can take your
dad to go shag fly balls inthe outfield when the raindeers take VP next
week. You gotta be there atlike three thirty four o'clock. But if
you can do it, we gota chance for you to do something really

(34:14):
cool with your dad. So wethought what we'd do is get you to
send us your thank you notes toyour father, maybe something that you did
where he builed you out, maybejust a heartfelt thank you for the man
that he is and the person hehelped you become. Whatever. So we
got three of them right now.Andrews has one. I've got one,
Dick Scott one. So Andrews, you go first to ask who you're getting

(34:35):
this from and what the deal ishere. This is from Jacob and it
says my dad saved me from mymom. When I was in high school,
I would simply flush my condoms downthe toilet well when the septic tank
backed up and I had a backyardlittered with condoms. My dad had to
remind me that condoms don't break downand need to be thrown in the trash
o go. He told me I'dbetter clean that up in the backyard before

(35:00):
my mom saw what happen. Thankgod he saw it first. I'm assuming
that these were posts confused, Yes, probably? Why would you throw away
new ones? I don't neither wantthat visual job? Who's that from again?

(35:22):
But Jacob Williams, Jacob Williams,Good lord man, God, how
embarrassing would that be for your dadto fight? Oh God, I'm gonna
throw up. I'm gonna puke. That's perfect, father, because it's like
you still saved him from the mom, but he still made him clean it
up. So this is like thepie scene from Stand By Me about all

(35:44):
over the place, all right,This one's from Jordan. Uh, let's
see. Uh. This story wasthe first one that popped into my mind,
and believe it or not, Istill do remember even though I was
six years old. That's how ridiculousit was. There's no footage since it
was the early nineties. From thetime I was a toddler through middle school,
I was one of the best basketballplayers in the area. I was

(36:04):
scoring forty a game in my firstgrade league and the other teams had enough,
so I was getting hammered on everypossession and they eventually just quit calling
it. Mind you, these refsare probably college kids. Anyways, My
pops, who was an elementary schoolteacher at the time, was standing on
the baseline and he got tired ofthe note calls as well and went off
on a ref to the point wherethe supervisor had to come over from the

(36:25):
other gym and ask him to leavethe arena. After a couple of minutes
of arguing and pointing out his sideof the story, he finally walked out
and sat outside for the rest ofthe game. Embarrassment would be an understatement
when it comes to the look onmy mom's face. Anyways, thanks for
the opportunity. Hope you're doing well. Let's go Mariners and keep it hot,
says Jordan. So he was talkingabout when his dad got kicked out

(36:49):
of a game for my ending himin a basketball game. All right,
all right, well, and thisone is a completely different vibe. Here
we go, Here we go,I do, but just don't start crying
on the air. I can't thankyou for working at that gas station after
you got off work when you werein the Navy. Nick, Yeah,
after you got off work with yourjob in the Navy when I was a
baby, so me and Mom hadeverything we needed more. Thank you for

(37:12):
playing catch with me in the backyard. No, thank you for taking me
to Toys Rs. And letting mepick out anything I wanted. I remember
that thirty years later, picking outthe Seahawks uniform and helmet. Thank you
for keeping your cool when I hitBrianna, my sister, in the head
with a rock because she was hidingin the doghouse when it was dinner time.
I was trying to hit the doghouseat eight years old. Thank you
for picking me up from the storewhen I got caught taken under armour from

(37:35):
when I was seventeen. Thank youfor pushing me to be better when I
was twenty one and being lazy. And thank you for being the best grandpa
to Abby, Carson, Cooper, and my nephew Braden. And finally,
thank you. This one's hard becauseI've never talked about it, but thank
you for breaking the silence at Carson'sfuneral. They gave the opportunity for anyone
to speak. I couldn't find thewords to bring up at that moment.
I know it was hard on youtoo, but you had my back again

(37:58):
even though you didn't know it.Thank you for all always being geez Wow.
The winner's absolutely I don't think there'sany question him or to use condom.
Guy. I mean, you tellme, good lord, you know
where my vote's going. All right, what's his name again? Nick?
Nick? Nick Smullage? Nick Smullage? All right, Nick, we'll give
it to Nick Smullege. Nick. This is one of those contests where you

(38:20):
wish you could this a way.I I sometimes don't like doing these because
you can't take care of everybody. We got a lot of emails, man,
But Nick Smullins show, we'll giveyou the sixth Summit Club tickets on
Friday and a chance to have achance to shag fly balls with your dad
in the outfield before the game nextFriday. So let's get his information and
we'll take We had a nice potpourriaof emails. That was good. It

(38:42):
was a veritable cornicopia. Differ usedcondoms to a guy thanking his father for
being a great dad. That's that'sthe uniqueness, that's the versatility. That's
what you get on this radio show. All right, How about we get
a break from Jimmy's a Little Youmake the call, baby, four nine
four five one. You just sidethe programming, You decide the content of
the radio show. You make thecall. Coming next on ninety three to

(39:06):
three KJRFL. You make the call.
