Speaker 4 (01:12):
All right, boys and girls, there we go.

Speaker 5 (01:13):
We are back on a busy Wednesday night right here
on ninety three to three KJRFM. Our pleasure to welcome
in the voice of football in America, the moral compass
for millions of people around the globe, the NFL on
Westwood One, the NFL on CBS, the NBA on Amazon,
and I heck of a lot more, our friend courtesy
at twin Peaks Tuck with They're great, Kevin Harlan, How

(01:36):
are you, pal?

Speaker 2 (01:37):
I'm doing good. How are you keep saying the same
thing every week? None of it's true, but it sure
is nice to join you.

Speaker 5 (01:43):
Well, you know, if you do something different with your life,
we could mix it up a little bit.

Speaker 2 (01:47):
Well, I'm trying to. I'm trying to, you know, solve hunger,
the homeless problem. I'm trying to, you know, conquer ills
and health issues. I'm trying. I'm prying, just not making
much broads.

Speaker 5 (01:59):
Just the same boring stuff every week. Well, let's let's
go back and talk about what you saw Monday night
in Vegas. Man, I mean, big win for the Cowboys,
nice win, nice game for Dak. But man, Pete Carroll's
having a hard go there, buddy two and eight with
the Raiders. He's not used to being in that position.
Tell me about your your meetings with Pete, your conversations

(02:19):
with him before the game, and kind of what you
thought about the Raiders on Monday night, and you know
what your big takeaways were from being around Pete for
a couple of days there.

Speaker 2 (02:30):
We actually did not meet with them, and the reason
why is we had a change with our analysts. It
was supposed to be Mike Golick, Yeah, and he got
sick and we were scheduled to visit on the field
and then Kurt Warner came in and we just it
just we got off schedule. So never had a chance. However,
that being said, he went into that game saying we

(02:53):
need to now turn the corner. He said, we're halfway
through the season, let's turn the corner. Yeah, and this
is a great game to start at home national stage.
We're feeling kind of good about some of the if.
They had only lost the two previous games by a
total of four points, right, and they came in there
and did not look good. So Cowboys were playing in

(03:14):
a very emotional wave honoring a fallen teammate who had
died the week before, Marshawn Neeland, and so they were
emotionally into it. They were feeling I think that if
they were going to save the season, they needed to win.
They did. They go to four to five and one.
They're very much in the conversation in the NFC playoff race,

(03:36):
and so that was a huge game for the Cowboys.
They also basically got five starters back on defense, which
was pretty significant, including two guys they had just traded for.
The linebacker and a defensive lineman. The linebackers Logan Wilson
from Cincinnati. The defensive lineman was Quentinn Williams from the Jets.

(03:57):
Both started. They also got a starter in the second
and overshown who played linebacker and in the back. And uh,
they just look different. I mean, they just played well.
Raiders do not look their offense looks they're they're they're
a mess right now. And I hate the Pete's going
through this. But they are really struggling.

Speaker 4 (04:15):
Well, Kevin Harlan's with us.

Speaker 5 (04:17):
Uh, yeah, there's that notification telling me to ask you
about his contract. He's got only two more years left
in in Vegas. He signed a three year deal. I mean,
do you do you think he sticks around or is this?
Could this be maybe a one and done for him
down there?

Speaker 2 (04:33):
I don't. I think he'll see it through. Culture change
is a hard thing. They're they're trying to revamp not
only their coaching staff, which they've done to a degree
led by Pete, but they're they're trying to get their
scouting system and they're their general man. They've got a
lot of issues and it's tough. Is all encompassing a

(04:56):
personality as Pete is. It's a daunting task to change
in one season. So I like this. I'd like to
think he'd stay there three. I'm hoping he stares there
two and at least, you know, moves the needle a
little bit. Right now, they're really not doing it.

Speaker 5 (05:13):
Yeah, Well, Kevin Harlan's with us, And Kevin, you saw
the Seahawks a week ago and then Sam Darnald went
out and threw four picks against the Rams on Sunday.

Speaker 4 (05:21):
Almost won the game.

Speaker 5 (05:23):
I mean incredible that he throws four picks and they
come within a sixty one yard field goal of winning
the game against the Rams, which was wide right by
Jason Myers. But there's this segment of the Seahawks fan
base that's just kind of wondering about Sam Donald and
big games. They have the game with the Lions on
their mind last year, the game with the Rams and
the playoffs on their mind last year, and now this

(05:45):
game on Sunday on their mind. How concerning would that
be for you if you were a Seahawk fan.

Speaker 2 (05:51):
Well, it was a big game. And the last three
big games he's been in, two with the Vikings at
the end of last year, one in the Troit did
not look good, certainly didn't look good in the playoff
game against the Rams that was played in Arizona, and
then this was this was arguably the biggest game they
played this year, a divisional foe for supremacy in the NFC,

(06:13):
and it was not his best game. I don't know,
you know, I think in a way have to not
disguise any of the issues but address them. And he
seems to be a very a very pliable teachable moment
for him and that team. But like you said, they

(06:34):
were very close at the end. I mean, it was
not that big a gap, and there was that chance.
But clearly four interceptions is concerning in another big game.
So I don't know, I think it probably has to
be addressed a little bit clearly because those games stand
out so prominently in the last year.

Speaker 5 (06:52):
Yeah, I don't know how much of that game you
saw Sunday because you were calling your own game obviously, Kevin,
But the Seahawks actually outgained the Rams kind of Domina
needed them. In the box score if you're just looking at,
you know, pure numbers, the Hawks had a huge game
in the box score. They outgained them four hundred and
fourteen to two forty nine, twenty six first downs to twelve.
How much would you I guess, if you were doing

(07:14):
Kevin's power pole and ranking all the teams in the NFL,
how much would you nick?

Speaker 4 (07:18):
How much would you drop the Hawks for a two
point loss at the Rams?

Speaker 2 (07:22):
Not much. You don't drop a team, but a quarterbacks
individual play. And you know, the body of work the
Seahawks have put in this year is so impressive, and
I would stick more with that. Rams clearly are playing well.
They're the best team I think right now along with
Philly and the NFC. Their quarterback is on an MVP trek.

(07:45):
I think Sam was on that list in that conversation
for the for the first half of the season. It
may not be the case now, but the Rams clearly
are a very good team, and they are having kind
of a transcend in season. Their defenses had a year
to mature. Their quarterback is playing out of his mind.

(08:06):
DeVante Adams has helped him. Clearly, They've gotten some guys back.
It's hard to deny that the Rams are not the
best team in the NFC right now. So to go
on the road, play there, lose by a couple and
your quarterback did not have the best of days, I
think I'd be optimistic. Still, I don't think there's you know,
they would do a bad game. I don't know. I've

(08:27):
not followed all their games, and at the tip of
my finger I wouldn't look it up and wouldn't know.
But you know, that really is really the first clunker
they've kind of put in. Yeah, I would say, no,
no worry, just with one of those days if we
have a couple more of them here in the next month,
when these games mean so much. Now, maybe we have
a conversation point, but right now, no.

Speaker 4 (08:49):
Well, I remember I asked you a couple of weeks ago, Kevin.

Speaker 5 (08:52):
Kevin Hardin's with us, by the way, courtesy at Twin
Peaks Tuguila, if the Chiefs were back, and you thought
they were and I thought they were back, and I
think the entire NFL I thought they were back. Then
they went out and lost the game to Buffalo, and
lost the game to Denver. Now they've got kind of
a must win game, I think at home against the Colts.
I mean they're right now, they're out of a playoff race,
but I don't think they've lost three in a row

(09:13):
since Mahomes showed up there.

Speaker 4 (09:15):
How desperate?

Speaker 5 (09:16):
Honestly, is this Chiefs team to win this game Sunday
at home versus Indy?

Speaker 2 (09:21):
I would say it is. It's the first taste of
a playoff game they're having this season, and we've not
said that about this organization in many, many years. They've
won nine straight division titles, right, so that's historic under itself.
But to come in and now with a five hundred record,
losing to a divisional foe, trailing the leader by a

(09:42):
handful of games. Now they're aiming for like a different target,
and that target is just to get into the playoffs.
Denver's not going to fold. Chargers won't go away, although
they're not. They've just been riddled with significant injuries and
they just it's hard for any team to sustain what
they've gone through, so they've they've probably lessened the severity

(10:03):
of where they stand. Yeah, no, no, the Chiefs are
in that playoff feel right now, and this is very
early for them. Wake up call for sure. Even if
they win out, it would be difficult the way the
AFC is kind of shaping up, But that's basically what
they're going to have to do. Some teams are getting
healthy and hot, like Baltimore. You know, I just think

(10:24):
that that clearly this becomes a game, and it's almost
not even because they're playing the Colts, although that clearly
adds something to it. But they need to start stacking
some wins and they just have not done it.

Speaker 6 (10:35):
Well.

Speaker 5 (10:35):
It's funny you mentioned Baltimore because not many people are
talking about Baltimore. Not many people are talking about Buffalo,
and not many they're fools.

Speaker 2 (10:43):
They're fools if they're not talking about Boltimore, hang on.

Speaker 5 (10:46):
Hang on, But then not many you are talking about
Kansas City. I mean they've been traditionally right in the
last whatever decade or so, in seven eight years, the
three teams to be in the AFC, and they seem
to be kind of all of them a little but
on the outside looking in. So which one of them
do you think has a better chance to get back
in here and make a run up this thing and

(11:06):
come from behind?

Speaker 2 (11:08):
Baltimore? I like Baltimore. Yep, they lost their quarterback. It's
like if any of these teams lose the starter, you're
just wayward. Yeah, and they were one in five and
now they've they've got their quarterback back, he had confidence,
the defense is playing a bit better. Baltimore to me
is probably the team to beat in that division. And
I think they're going to have this incredible run and

(11:29):
they've already started it to finish the season. As long
as number eight is upright and playing right, and that's
always the key for all these teams. So as long
as he's back there under center or in the gun,
that's my pick in that division. Rogers has got a
broken bone in his non throwing wrist, and that's got
to be a concern. Although Mason Rudolph came in the

(11:50):
other day and really played well against the Bengals, and
that was a big game for Cincinnati. I think New
England is there's one is saying why don't we believe
in New England. It's because of who they've played, And
that's not their fault. They've they've they've handled their schedule,
they've beaten who they need to beat. They're on the

(12:10):
road again this weekend against the Bengals, another test for
New England. But the Patriots have been such a surprise.
I just don't know them. And the Colts, I just
don't know if we've got a good read on them
until these other teams are what we think they are,
like Kansas City and Baltimore. So let's let's keep an
eye on the Chiefs, let's keep an eye on the Ravens,

(12:30):
and enjoy what these kind of upstarts the Patriots, uh
and the Colts have done to have the kind of
lofty position in the AFC playoff scenario that they've got
right now.

Speaker 5 (12:40):
Yeah, Well, Kevin Harlan's with us again. Courtesy a twin
Peaks Tuck, Willa and Kevin.

Speaker 4 (12:45):
I don't know where you will be for TV on Sunday.
We'll ask you, We'll ask you in a minute, We'll
ask you in a minute. I don't care. We're gonna
ask you anyway, I don't care. But I'm.

Speaker 5 (12:56):
I'm assuming that you're not doing the Browns and Raiders.
Oh my odd two and eight versus two and eight?

Speaker 4 (13:02):
Maybe you are. You're not doing Browns and Raiders? Are you? Okay?

Speaker 2 (13:06):
Good? It's like we're actually they've actually shifted us to
a new team.

Speaker 4 (13:12):
All right, Well you know what that?

Speaker 5 (13:13):
Let me guess, Yeah, we gotta do this, right, let
me guess Brown's Raiders Sunday, Shador Sanders gets to start.
I don't know if I've ever seen a third string
quarterback more of a lightning rod than this guy. You know,
he plays last week, He's sitting on the bench. He's
not happy with the way he performed. He's kind of
keeping to himself, and Rex Ryan starts ripping him for,
you know, not engaging with people. Frankly, I think that

(13:36):
the nitpicking of him is getting a little bit ridiculous.
I'm not the biggest fan myself, But I think the
nitpicking is getting a little bit ridiculous. But for those
that think that Shador has been set up to fail,
whatever the heck that means in Cleveland, man, what do
you make of his situation starting this Sunday as a starter.

Speaker 2 (13:54):
Well, he definitely has some gifts. There's no doubt he
has talent. I just think it's where do you classify
his gifts and his talent? Like where are you putting him?
What are you looking for? And how does he fit
into your offense? And I think that you know, a
lot of teams considered him early when he began to fall.

(14:15):
He fooled, he fell precipitously, and it was the big
story out of the draft of this past spring. But
but there's something there. I just think it's going to
take a real smart guy to kind of uncork it
and just put him in the right situation. His mechanics,
we've not seen enough of it. His footwork, I mean,

(14:37):
there's a lot that needs to be worked out and
there's no doubt, but there's also a lot to work
with that the kid has got. He's got talent, it's
just can he make the switch from what was maybe
a more wide open, let it flame Heisman Trophy winning
target that he had at Colorado at the University of

(14:58):
Colorado to what needs to be accomplished in the NFL,
which is all about structure, discipline, reading, reacting and doing
doing the things that make these great quarterbacks what they are.
And and I think he is on page one of
a five hundred page story. And and it's just going
to take time. And it's just how much discipline can

(15:21):
they put in per week as the season goes on
and continues to unfold for a team that will not
make the playoffs again. You know, where, where do you
start with him? And how do you prepare him? And
and and and what can you do to make him comfortable?
And that would probably be Stefanski's first the coach, Stefanski's
first job with him. Where what kind of game plan

(15:44):
can we give him now in the middle of the
season that has a comfort level where he can at
least perform. And that really is what's going to be
the guy. It's it's not going to be the full playbook,
even though he's been using it. But when the bullets
start to fly, Uh, you've got to You've got to
rely on things that are comfort food, comfort plays, a

(16:05):
framework that he can succeed, and you cannot give him
a game plan that he clearly is going to fail
because you want to use the book. He can't. He
just can't do it. No, no rookie quarterback at this
stage can. He's not been taking first team reps until
this week. I mean, the kid is He's came in
as the fourth quarterback during the season. So but there

(16:26):
there is something there. It's just what can they show
as he finishes off this season? What can he show
that brings promise to what he can do in the
off season as maybe your starting your starter going forward.

Speaker 5 (16:39):
Yeah, have you seen the Titans, by the way in
person yet this year?

Speaker 2 (16:42):
I have not.

Speaker 4 (16:43):
No, I have not.

Speaker 2 (16:44):
We've they've they have not had the kind of record
to get our crew, And I have not seen him
in person. Have not seen the quarterback, so I couldn't
talk about him.

Speaker 4 (16:52):
Well, you know what, that was a stupid question by me.

Speaker 2 (16:56):
No, Listen, I think their defense is pretty good. Changed
coaches clearly now they've got they've got kind of an
interim situation. It seems it's pretty wonky down there. A
lot of turbulence rookie quarterback. I mean, there's just a
lot not going and the kids kind of been put
out there to survive on his own, very tough, yeh,

(17:17):
unenviable position. And for all parties that are with them
right now, and they need, they need a coach that's
going to come in there and be given a long leash,
a proven guy that can go in there and do
the job. You know, I want to just backtrack here
just a second. Your coach up there is just he was.

(17:38):
He was a diamond in the rough. Clearly he had
proven himself as a coordinator defensively with Baltimore. But the
culture is in Baltimore that the parts were in Baltimore,
they had coach was in Baltimore. You didn't know how
much was him, but clearly the last great young coach
that has been unmined in this league is yours. Now.

(17:58):
Canal Is at Carolina has been horrific, But your guy
up there, Uh has been the outlier. And is there
another McDonald out there that Tennessee can find uh and
and be as lucky as the Seahawks weren't getting.

Speaker 5 (18:10):
Them well as you said, they're not good enough to
have you do their games they're.

Speaker 2 (18:15):
Just not no, no, no, no, no, I didn't say that.

Speaker 4 (18:18):
I said that.

Speaker 5 (18:20):
I said that, leave it, leave it, Leave it for
the D team, whoever the hell that is.

Speaker 4 (18:25):
Give it.

Speaker 5 (18:26):
Give it to an intern at CBS. Let them call
the game.

Speaker 4 (18:29):
Oh here's here's my here's my prediction.

Speaker 2 (18:33):
Listen, if you're a crew, let me, if you're a
crew calling games in the NFL, to have that honor
every week, regardless of what network, to call games in
the NFL at the network level is an honor. And
there's not a play by play broadcaster in the country
that would not jump to be one of the eight crews,

(18:54):
of course at CBS or at Fox. So regardless of
what game you get, regardless of what game you get,
to have a job at that level is a is
A is a career achievement. None of us that haven't
take it lightly. Anybody that gets it has arrived to
a degree. So whatever game we're given, we're given, you

(19:15):
never complain, You say thank you? Did I get to
work at this level?

Speaker 5 (19:19):
Okay, you're doing Browns Raiders Sunday? No where will Kevin
be for TV on Sunday? We know you got the
Niners and the Panthers on Monday Night. I'm gonna guess
that Tony.

Speaker 2 (19:32):
No, no, no, no, I'm taking Monday Night.

Speaker 4 (19:34):
Oh you are are?

Speaker 2 (19:35):
Yeah? Okay?

Speaker 4 (19:37):
Who said okay to that?

Speaker 2 (19:39):
Well, they give me I can take three off a year, okay,
And I chose that. I chose before and after Thanksgiving off.
We've got family, kids, I want to I want to
be very present for all the things that are so
special about this time of year, and so I'm taking
those two games off.

Speaker 5 (19:54):
All right, Well, I'm going to assume that Tony and
Jimmy are doing Colts Chiefs.

Speaker 4 (19:58):
I'm going to predict that you are calling. You know.

Speaker 2 (20:02):
I gave you I know, no, no, no, I gave
you a hint.

Speaker 4 (20:05):
You said it was a new team, that.

Speaker 2 (20:07):
We they put us on a new team because that
team is red hot in the talk of the league.
Right now.

Speaker 5 (20:12):
Uh, I'm gonna say that you are doing the Patriot game.

Speaker 2 (20:18):
That bing ding ding dinging down. Finally, finally, after after years,
literally years of miscalculating and missing the target, you have
finally you have finally got when. Yeah, they're putting us.
They want to put us on the Patriots because they've
become the hot story in the in the AFC right now,
and we're anxious to see him quite frankly, we want

(20:39):
to talk with the Rabel tomorrow.

Speaker 4 (20:41):
I love it.

Speaker 5 (20:41):
All right, listen, you're taking Monday night off. Can we
talk next Wednesday? Is that okay?

Speaker 4 (20:46):
Or do you want Wednesday off to Uh?

Speaker 2 (20:49):
No, No, we can't do no one. Well, you know what,
let's talk off the air about that.

Speaker 4 (20:54):
One, all right.

Speaker 2 (20:57):
You know, because I think about my friend Brad over at,
I don't want to let him down. Yeah, you know,
you know he's he's such a supporter of your you
your show. Some reason he wants to be a part
of this particular thing. I'm not sure why. I'm thankful
that he is at this time of year that we
give thanks. But no, I we can probably work.

Speaker 5 (21:16):
So we'll figure it out if you need it often,
no problem, we understand.

Speaker 4 (21:19):
Just save just say, just save me some turkey.

Speaker 5 (21:21):
All right, Kevin, you're the man, great stuff, and we'll
talk when we talk, all right, see it?

Speaker 2 (21:25):
But all right, softy, thanks?

Speaker 4 (21:26):
All right, Kevin Harlan with us.

Speaker 5 (21:27):
We've gotta break a lot more to get to, including
don't forget the Husky Hanks at six pm tonight, we
had hockey yesterday, so the Hanks will talk some dogs,
Greg and Mario at six on ninety three three KJRFF.

Speaker 1 (21:38):
This is Duke of Duke Seafood and this hour is
brought to you by Duke Seafood. Why don't you make
it a Duke's night tonight. Reserve your table today at
dukeseafood dot com. Now back to Softy and Dick on
Sports Radio ninety three point three kJ r FM.

Speaker 5 (21:53):
All Right, boys and girls, we're back on a busy
Wednesday night right here on ninety three three kjr FM.

Speaker 4 (21:59):
You know, we haven't done, by the way in.

Speaker 5 (22:01):
A long long time, a little sloppy seconds here in
the radio in a while, like two o six that
was a pathetic textimonials. You need to find a segment
where you can get to more texts from listeners. Kick
fun with audio to the curb. It sucks ass anyway,
Did you write that? Says the two?

Speaker 4 (22:24):
Did I write No? I love fun with audio?

Speaker 5 (22:27):
Okay, I do agree though, that we got to do
more texts. For sure, you can't have two texts. It
doesn't help when we have eighty five minute commercial breaks
on the radio station.

Speaker 4 (22:35):
See now listening he deserves it.

Speaker 5 (22:40):
You know, the only reason why he came to the
office today is to water's plant.

Speaker 4 (22:43):
Then he went home. You know that.

Speaker 5 (22:44):
Right, He's got this what do you call what's the
little buns eye thing, whatever it is, and he comes
in his office.

Speaker 6 (22:52):
He has the cachet to say that not get fired
if you or if me said that, We're.

Speaker 5 (22:56):
Gone saying just because of who he's got a little
spray thing. He sits there. He's got a little little clippers,
a little prune like mister Miaggi and ka kid. And
he sits in his office and he cuts his tree,
and then he goes home. Well does he tell he
gets and then he gets taco time for lunch and
doesn't ask us if we want anything?

Speaker 4 (23:15):
Does he does?

Speaker 7 (23:16):
He tell you to wax on, wax off over on
the side bonds I trace.

Speaker 5 (23:20):
However, he spends his private time as his problem, right,
I don't know. I'm just saying this. I come into
the office today and he's got a freaking desk full
of taco time. I ask everybody if I'm going to
see time, send a group text down time. Does anybody
want taco time? You think that tree cutting weirdo? Is
asking me if I want lunch. Absolutely not. We got

(23:40):
nothing like them, but.

Speaker 4 (23:45):
We do need some more more texts.

Speaker 7 (23:47):
By the way, Jackson, he's just trying to get out
of here so he can open up his softy snow
cone and MAUI, yes he is.

Speaker 5 (23:53):
Let's see, maybe we trade Castillo, says the four two five,
to make room for more money and for young pitching. Well,
if you trade Castillo, you're trading Castillo for some offense
and you're signing a Derek Scouble or trading for a
Trek Scoobel or a guy like that. Mariners they got
Kata Anderson. I know that they think it's he's ready yet.
I think he needs to spend a couple of months

(24:14):
in the miners and then maybe come up in the summer.

Speaker 4 (24:17):
But are we ready to say goodbye to Luis Castillo? Yes?

Speaker 7 (24:21):
I am okay, I am right. I mean I don't
want to give him away. Yeah, I don't want to
give him away. Jackson sounds like he wants to just
throw him out. With yesterday's newspaper.

Speaker 6 (24:29):
What was you just look at what the rotation could
be even if it didn't have Castillo. And then the
biggest part and the most important part about this is
what Castillo could get you, because Castillo could then end
up going and getting you your second basement that you
can just lock down the middle of the order or
that third baseman, that guy where yeah, you could bring
back a swar as you could get it, you know,

(24:51):
X y Z. But boy, Castillo is still such a
good picture. He could give you that bat that Di
Poto was talking about.

Speaker 4 (24:57):
He was a very good picture. He was money down
the s stretch man.

Speaker 7 (25:00):
He was.

Speaker 4 (25:01):
He was a dog.

Speaker 7 (25:02):
But I mean he was a four war pitcher in
twenty two three war and twenty three two war and
twenty four to two war and twenty five, so he's
he's heading in the direction of being a one and
a half war guy. And if you can trade that
for a.

Speaker 6 (25:14):
Three war hitter, yeah absolutely, Well you sure you don't
need to give more with because you would get that
three war hitter.

Speaker 4 (25:21):
Well trade Harry Ford. He's on my He's on my list.
I don't know.

Speaker 5 (25:26):
I'm just I think you guys are just kind of
giving the old man away.

Speaker 4 (25:29):
Too early a little bit.

Speaker 5 (25:33):
Fair, be very careful giving him up. I I I
think I think I'd rather go out and spend money
on a free agent hitter and just sign a guy
that'd have to trade Luis Castillo to do it.

Speaker 4 (25:43):
Not gonna happen.

Speaker 7 (25:44):
I know that, I know that's okay.

Speaker 4 (25:46):
We're just in reality.

Speaker 5 (25:52):
What if Jerry actually came on the air and said that,
you know, I really would not like to trade Luis Castillo,
but I have to.

Speaker 4 (25:58):
I'm dealing with reality. I have to.

Speaker 5 (26:00):
I got no choice. These guys are making me do
things I don't want to do.

Speaker 4 (26:03):
You know where I am.

Speaker 6 (26:05):
How about how about how about bring could tell Marty back?
How about package can steal Ford?

Speaker 7 (26:10):
Go?

Speaker 4 (26:10):
Get me to tell Marta to play? Second? You you
mentioned Kate Anderson. You know, envision Kate Anderson. I envisioned Kate.

Speaker 7 (26:18):
I envisioned Kate Anderson on like October twenty fifth, of
twenty twenty six, coming in out of the bullpen in
the seventh inning.

Speaker 4 (26:26):
That's where I envisioned Kate or you in your rotation
when somebody gets hurt and they got ye, he's well
yes next time, right, yes, But I don't.

Speaker 7 (26:36):
I hope he doesn't have to start in the playoffs
next year. I'm saying, do with him what we thought
we were gonna do with Bryce Miller this year, but
then Bryce Miller had to be a starter.

Speaker 6 (26:45):
What we did with Emerson Hancock, well, he'll like, but
Hancock was better Emerson Hanks.

Speaker 4 (26:51):
They did.

Speaker 5 (26:52):
I love Emerson Hancock. The idea Hancock was the new
Mop at the end of the day. That's that's when
they went to him. Let's go to the idiot. When
we're down by fifteen or up by ten, now we can,
then we'll let the kid throw. It's like in Hoosiers
when Gene Hackman told him don't shoot unless you're directly
under the basket.

Speaker 4 (27:09):
They were the only time we let him throw.

Speaker 5 (27:11):
The Well, guys, here's what's gonna happen. You know what's
gonna happen. Someone's gonna get hurt. They always do. What
happened two years ago is unrealistic, and it didn't happen
a year ago.

Speaker 4 (27:19):
Because it's unrealistic. Somebody will get hurt.

Speaker 5 (27:22):
And Katie Anderson has now I'm sorry, Logan Evans right,
has now jolted past Logan Evans as your number six option.

Speaker 4 (27:29):
That's right. Hasn't he on this baseball team unless he
has a terrible spring?

Speaker 5 (27:33):
Yes, yeah, that was a very fun, slappish second. All right,
we're gonna break husky honks. Coming up at six pm
tonight on ninety three three KJRFM.

Speaker 1 (27:45):
This is Duke of Duke Seafood and this hour is
brought to you by Duke Seafood. Why don't you make
it a Duke's Night tonight. Reserve your table today at
dukeseafood dot com. Now back to Softian Dick on Sports
Radio ninety three point three kjr FM.

Speaker 5 (28:00):
So I am looking at some numbers on the Tennessee Titans.
They have the worst point differential in the National Football
League at minus one thirty. By the way, minus one thirty.
They have not won a road game the entire year.
They're one five at home. Cam Ward the number one
pick in the draft. I mean, you know what, I
actually had to think for a second the other day

(28:21):
when Travis Hunter got hurt and I read obviously reminded
me that he was the number two pick of the draft.

Speaker 4 (28:27):
I was like, God, who is the number one pick?
And it took me like a minute to remember. It
seems like cam Ward was there last year, wasn't it.

Speaker 5 (28:34):
I don't know what it just it just the most
nondescript number one pick in the history of the NFL.
I mean, he's just kind of there. I mean, he's
got a seventy four passer rating. You realize, by the way,
the Titans have played ten games, all right, they're uh,
what's their record?

Speaker 6 (28:50):
Now?

Speaker 2 (28:50):
Are they?

Speaker 4 (28:51):
One to nine?

Speaker 5 (28:52):
He's been sacked forty one times forty years in ten games.
Forty one sacks for Sam darn or excuse me for
cam Ward. Sam Darnold, by the way, has been sacked
ten times. This guy's been sacked four times?

Speaker 4 (29:06):
Is more?

Speaker 2 (29:07):
Is?

Speaker 4 (29:07):
How is he upright?

Speaker 7 (29:09):
Here's what I don't understand about the point spread. The
only reason I took the Seahawks isn't because I think
the Seahawks are gonna put forty.

Speaker 4 (29:16):
Up on the board.

Speaker 7 (29:17):
No, no, I'm just looking at what Tennessee has done
against worse defenses than Seattle. Zero ten thirteen, fourteen thirteen.
That's five of their last seven games against teams like Vegas, Indie,
New England. Now, Houston's got a good defense. They played
him twice and scored zero in one game in thirteen.

(29:37):
The next is the Houston defense better or worse than Seattle's?

Speaker 4 (29:41):
It's at the very worst, the same.

Speaker 7 (29:43):
As Seattle's, and it's probably a little worse than Seattles.

Speaker 4 (29:45):
I don't know, if we don't.

Speaker 7 (29:47):
Give them points like we gave the Rams points, if
we just play a straight up football game, kind of
like what I wanted the Huskies to do to Wisconsin.

Speaker 4 (29:55):
They decided not to do that. I don't know. We
could debate. Okay, we can debate.

Speaker 5 (29:59):
That we could do, but I mean, if you just
have to open that wound, we're having a good time.

Speaker 4 (30:05):
God, if you don't a good.

Speaker 7 (30:05):
Run the ball and punt, how many points are they
going to score if they have to go seventy five
yards every drive?

Speaker 4 (30:11):
I mean, what are you doing?

Speaker 5 (30:12):
We're sitting here enjoying our shirt circuit come over right
in the eye with the Wisconsin.

Speaker 4 (30:19):
Where did that come from? I don't know. It's not
necessary APT. I mean you're telling talking about lots of things.
Are APT. Doesn't mean I want to hear him for
crying out loud.

Speaker 7 (30:30):
I mean, I'm gonna say Tennessee's offense isn't quite as
bad as a as a football team. Who's punter was
their best passer? Yes, yes, but it's pretty close. Well,
they have the second worst passer rating as a team
in the NFL. The Browns are worst.

Speaker 5 (30:43):
They average fourteen points a game, which is worst, two
hundred and forty two yards a game, which is worse.
I tell you what, if you could find a sports
book somewhere, and maybe the Emerald Queen can do this,
I have no idea. If you can find a sports
book somewhere to bet on a shutout by the Seahawks,
I might just put a few bucks on it. The
numbers would be ridiculous, and Dodgs would be highly in
your probably be huge. I mean, this is the kind

(31:06):
of game where something like that could absolutely happen, absolutely happen. Now,
if the Titans go out and score thirty, don't blame me, okay,
but I think that this is the next three games.
I'm telling you right now, you want to parlay the
under and the Hawks to win the next three. They
got Kirk Cousins, they got JJ McCarthy, and they got
cam Ward. In the next three games, they should be

(31:26):
ten and three, and by the way they win this
Sunday over done, it's done before Thanksgiving.

Speaker 4 (31:31):
It's done.

Speaker 7 (31:32):
Oh that's a nice Christmas present. Yeah, I just read
where this is the biggest point spread the Seahawks have
ever had in a road game in franchise history. They
have never been favored on the road by more than
thirteen Well, what's the lines at thirteen and a half teen? Now,
if they're home, they're like a seventeen point favorite, yes, right,

(31:52):
if they're playing at home, if not more, which is
what you you only see those once or twice a year,
Like I've seen the Bill like an eighteen point favored
over the Jets over the last couple of years.

Speaker 4 (32:04):
I mean, that's the type of friend we're talking about it.

Speaker 5 (32:06):
Do you know, by the way, just real quick, do
you know there's thirty two teams in the NFL?

Speaker 4 (32:10):
Correct? I didn't know that there are?

Speaker 5 (32:12):
There are twenty four teams in the National Football League
that have double or more than double the amount of
passing touchdowns that Titans have twenty four, so bad double
or more than double. They have six passing touchdowns the
entire season. The Raiders with Gino Smith have twelve, and
they're twenty fourth in the NFL.

Speaker 6 (32:32):
I mean, we keep talking about this team is potentially
the twenty twelve Seahawks, right, and the twenty twelve Seahawks
went on that crazy run one hundred and fifty points
of her three games. This is the run we saw
the Cardinals game. But then remember they did Buffalo on
the road fifty to whatever. Right, Yeah, this is the
Toronto this is the road version of that.

Speaker 4 (32:49):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (32:49):
I mean it's bananas. How terrible they are. They're a terrible,
terrible football team. And don't forget Teresa Walker is going
to join Friday at four from the AP so she'll
tell us how bad they are.

Speaker 7 (32:59):
Player other than cam Ward that anybody's heard of outside
of Tennessee is Calvin Ridley.

Speaker 5 (33:06):
I think if you went down the street of Seattle
and you asked any random football fan, can you name
one player in the Titans. I don't think anybody. I
think nine of ten people would not have any idea,
No way, none. They have one really good defensive player
in Simmons. We're gonna break Husky Hawks. Greg Lewis, Mario
