Speaker 1 (00:01):
Today's Daily Highlight from Elvis Duran in the morning show.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
We got a very special guest with us right now.
He's the star of Watch What Crappens, one of our
favorite podcasts, and he's going on tour with it very soon.
Right Yeah. Ben Mandelker is, how do you take this
on tour?

Speaker 3 (00:20):
Well, what we do is we record our podcast, my
co host Ronnie and I we record our podcast. We
just go to venues and we record the record in
front of people. Okay, yeah, it's great.

Speaker 2 (00:29):
This is your first time, this is your second time
with us, Yes, but you never bring Ronnie? Do you
not want to just bring?

Speaker 3 (00:34):
Ronnie lives in Austin, so if he was here in
New York, I would drag him along. But as it happens,
my family's out here in New York, so I'm often
out here.

Speaker 2 (00:42):
Okay, all right, we'll just get going. Gosh, there's so
many things we want to talk to you about. Of
course Ben is all about the Bravo. Yes, he's all
about everything that, especially Diamond and Andrew are into. We
love that. And you guys start what do you like
rapid fire with Ben Goney? I'm ready, Okay, let's do
it Diamond.

Speaker 4 (01:01):
We know that apparently Bravo has told Kyle Richards that
she can't be a part of this new season of
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills if she doesn't talk about
her relationship or alleged relationship with Morgan what's her last
Wade Wade, And so yes, honey, this was the tea
for It didn't even happen on this season. It was

(01:24):
like the end of the season and then it bled
into her husband show that he has on Netflix. But whatever,
do you think that this is a good idea?

Speaker 2 (01:32):
Like?

Speaker 4 (01:32):
Should she be forced?

Speaker 2 (01:34):
Absolutely? Of course. Listen.

Speaker 3 (01:38):
Kyle Richards has gone on to the Real Housewives of
Beverly Hills season after season and has gone up to
everyone and been like, you need to be open and honest,
be open and honest. She literally drove Denise Richards. Is
one of the people who drove Denise Richards off that
show because she wants Denise Richards to be more open
and honest about an alleged lesbian affair she had with
Brandy Glanville. And she just kept on saying, we just

(01:58):
want you to be open and honest. And the moment
that Kyle finds herself in a scandal. She's like, I
just want to have some privacy. So I think that
Pramo should totally do that. I get that, no no,
no practice, what you preach, Yeah exactly. I always liked her,
by the way, look back to the day out when
I watched.

Speaker 4 (02:15):
My issue would be that, like they're not making General
Lions bring her new girlfriend onto Real Housewives.

Speaker 3 (02:20):
And yeah, it is a double standard. I think just
with Kyle, it's really like, you know, I would never
say to a person like you have to divulge all
your personal life to me, but I just feel like,
when you know, for reality stars, it's a little bit different.
And especially again since Kyle Richards has been all about
saying open and honest for years on the show, it
just feels like she should be open and honest too. Now,

(02:40):
Jenna Lions, you know, it is a double standard. But
you know, I think kind of Jenna lines a kooky
appeal is that she's sort of she has a mystique.
We don't really know what's going on in her life.
I would like to know more about it, but I'm
just sort of happy that she's just there. I'm like happy,
like whatever it takes to keep her on the show
makes me happy.

Speaker 2 (02:58):
Yeah, exactly. I have a question.

Speaker 5 (03:01):
Yeah, and I don't even really know a lot about
the Housewives, but I see recently it seems like a
rash of them have been getting fired. Yes, why what's
going on?

Speaker 2 (03:09):
Cleaning house? Is it a money saving tactical?

Speaker 3 (03:12):
I wonder, you know, I think that, like, so Bravo famously,
at least in my world, I'm like, it's so famous,
guys about what happened. But Bravo basically cleaned house with
the Real Housewives of New York, which is when Dreennal
Alliance came on, and it worked out relatively well, you know.
And so I think that Bravo now realizes, Oh, if
a show's like not great, we can just fire people.

(03:33):
Like that's okay, we can fire people. So they're like, okay, Crystal,
you're gone. Who are the other ones? You just got fired?
Tod Robin. There's rumors that Neka is getting fired on
to man, we don't know now.

Speaker 4 (03:48):
Listen, question who was on Real Housewives make this season?
She was like a friend of But they usually test
women out, so you are a friend of for one
season and you do really well, then you come back
the next season, she's not coming back, and I feel
like she gave a little too much to us. This season,
the woman got into an altercation and like had like

(04:10):
her head cut open, basically.

Speaker 3 (04:12):
Yeah, but her other storyline was that she had diarrhea,
and no one checked on.

Speaker 2 (04:15):
So I mean, come on, I have I've got a
cliffhanger working. So okay, I see the logic behind that.
I mean, in the old days of the Real Housewives shows,
they would keep people on way too long. Now it's like,

(04:38):
as soon as you're ready to change the storyline, bring
in someone fresh. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (04:44):
I mean, I don't advocate for just like churning through people.
I think that people need to grow, and sometimes people
in their second or third season really pop.

Speaker 2 (04:52):
But I do like.

Speaker 3 (04:54):
That it keeps the cast members on their toes because
like a big problem with the Real Housewives is that
if they become popular, they start to try to call shots,
I believe, and so they try to self produce, and
they're like, I don't want to go on that group trip,
I don't want to go to this reunion. And so
if there's like the fear that if they don't play ball,
they're going to get fired. I think that, well, so terrible.

Speaker 2 (05:16):
A monster.

Speaker 3 (05:17):
I'm like big business right now. But I think it's
actually good. I think it keeps people in check and
they have to like they still have to do their job.

Speaker 2 (05:24):
You know, how do you keep all.

Speaker 1 (05:25):
Of these characters like straight in your head? Like who's
on this Housewives? And who's on that Housewives?

Speaker 2 (05:30):
So many housewives?

Speaker 3 (05:31):
It's very easy. I push out anything that's relevant in
my life. I'm like, I don't know what's going out
in the world. I don't know world leaders. I just
know you know that there's someone Hilton is a world leader. Honestly,
yes she is.

Speaker 2 (05:45):
Now I'm not keep in mind I don't watch anymore,
but never did I really, but Kathy Hilton. I adore her.
She is she's still around.

Speaker 3 (05:53):
Oh yeah, so she she's never been an official real house.

Speaker 2 (05:56):
Well just kind of bring her out and play with
and put her back in. They really do, and she's
just great.

Speaker 3 (06:00):
I think that like every time they bring her out,
like you always sort of anticipate that she'll be terrible,
but I love her every single time, and the audience
seems to really love her.

Speaker 2 (06:08):
She's just funny.

Speaker 3 (06:09):
She's in her own world, and I think people love
her because she's authentically ridiculous, Like she's so wealthy, she
lives in a different she's in it, just a different
stratosphere in terms of wealth and like what reality is.
But she's authentically in that stratosphere. So it's works.

Speaker 2 (06:23):
It's great.

Speaker 6 (06:24):
Wow, all right, Andrew Reach, we want to go here
with BC Housewives. Are you going to do a new
like recap of it?

Speaker 2 (06:33):
I don't know. I mean we might. We've been talking
about it. It might be. It might be fun to do.

Speaker 3 (06:38):
We never want to commit ourselves too much because the
moment we commit ourselves, then we're really committed, and like
we have a bad habit of saying.

Speaker 2 (06:43):
Like why don't we just do this?

Speaker 3 (06:44):
And then all of a sudden, we have like eight
hours of podcasting to do. So not sure, but you know,
we might.

Speaker 2 (06:51):
We might.

Speaker 3 (06:52):
We might visit it a little bit. Because DC was
like surprisingly really good and people didn't appreciate it in
its time, but now they.

Speaker 6 (06:58):
Are completely agree And I feel like your cat impression
will just be like I loved cat.

Speaker 2 (07:03):
She was great. Let me hear your cat impression.

Speaker 3 (07:06):
She was sort of British, if I remember she sort
of like I'm married to someone Methy and these ladies
are ridiculous and I just can't wait to go to
the mall and laugh at America.

Speaker 2 (07:18):
She's a fake action.

Speaker 3 (07:21):
It's probably or or at the very least she she
had like this kind of like Uppercross sensibility, like she's
she had this vibe of like why am I on
this show?

Speaker 2 (07:30):
I'm just gonna make fun of everyone around me? Why
she's on the show. The speaking of.

Speaker 5 (07:34):
Fake accents, is it true that they're trying to recruit
Hilario Baldwin to be one of the housewiveds.

Speaker 2 (07:39):
That is the rumor. I think that would be hilarious, hilarious.

Speaker 1 (07:45):
You're quite friends with her, Yeah, I talk to her Instagram, like,
I get into her dms and we chat and I
she's she is so hands on with those kids in
that family and stuff. I don't know if she would
have any time to do that.

Speaker 2 (07:56):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (07:56):
And I feel like Alec Baldwin with where he's at
right now, could be risky, Like Bravo is not where
you go to rehab your personal.

Speaker 4 (08:07):
Well.

Speaker 2 (08:07):
Jill Zaron on Below deck O My God, Okay, So
I love that cross pollination idea. I loved it. I
loved her on below Deck. Well, could you see any
of the housewives actually moving over to be in a season?

Speaker 4 (08:22):
Uh?

Speaker 3 (08:22):
Yeah, I would love, actually, honestly like every housewife to
put some time in on below deck as a guest.
It would actually be funny if they were just crew.
Could you imagine, like Jill Zarn actually in your.

Speaker 2 (08:32):
Talking she used to like do things. Oh, I would
love that, But she would just be like, so I
made your bed.

Speaker 3 (08:36):
I don't know, but okay, I put your pillow over here,
and you know I put your Okay, I put your
luggage of it.

Speaker 2 (08:41):
It's not very good luggage. Yeah, built up a website.
Get this. Also, I'm concerned about your shoes. You really
want to wear those shoes? How about this? How about this?

Speaker 3 (08:49):
Here, here's a here's a link to some really good
good deals on Amazon. You can get socks there. You
can get Zaren Fabrics. It's wonderful. She'll just she'll actually
just take over your entire charge. Maybe an awful charter.

Speaker 7 (09:00):
I have a question, and this might be a very
difficult one for you to tackle, but think of all
the Bravo shows, including like Summer House and Vander Pomp
and all the Housewives series, Who's got the longevity, who's
got the star power? Ten years from now, think ten
years in the future, who's coming out on top? Who
are we gonna still be hearing about? It pains me
in some ways to say this, but I'm gonna have

(09:20):
to say, Teresa Judice, Wow, why do you feel that way?
Because she's already made it this far? Right, Like the
fact that she's made it this far? Was it been
like twelve thirteen years of Teresa Judas. I literally had
a dream about her last night. She's in my dreams.
It was weird. It was like I ran into her
at Coachella. It was like it was a really weird

(09:42):
I'm rattled. I'm very rattled right now. But I think
that she there's something about Teresa. She's always driven me nuts,
but I have like conceded that there's something about Teresa
that people are endlessly fascinated about. And she always she
does stay in her lane. She just she's just gonna
be around.

Speaker 2 (10:00):
Now. Do you think Andy Cohen is ever going to
leave Bravo? I don't. I don't think he will.

Speaker 1 (10:08):
It won't be the same, It would never be the same.

Speaker 2 (10:10):
With that, I have to agree with him.

Speaker 3 (10:11):
Yeah, there were some there's some rumors last week that
he was negotiating an exit. I don't think so. I
don't think so. I think he is improv I think
he actually is a fan of the stuff that he's making,
and I think he loves it. I think he loves
being around all the Real Housewives and these shows and
having people come on his show. I mean I would
love it too, And I think that I think it's

(10:32):
just like his thing. Like you know, he tried did
he hosted Love Connection remember that, which was, you know,
a fun experiment, but like I mean, like I just
it didn't it didn't really turn into anything. I think
that Bravo is such his lane, and I think it's
a lane that he loves. So I think he's there.

Speaker 5 (10:49):
What about all of the controversy with Andy Cohen? What's
your take on that?

Speaker 7 (10:54):
Yo?

Speaker 2 (10:54):
Oh is this about?

Speaker 3 (10:55):
Like oh, when Brandy Glandel said that, like you know,
I mean, look, you know, I guess like some of
it was like you could say it was inappropriate, But
I like the biggest the biggest people who are coming
after Andy Cohen are like Brandy Glanville, Bethany Frankel and
Leah McSweeney, and they're the ones who all were fired

(11:17):
and are you know, in my view, they're kind of
just like bitter that they lost their jobs.

Speaker 2 (11:22):
Sorry.

Speaker 3 (11:22):
Like if your biggest bombshell is like, oh my god,
Bravo encourages people to drink, it's like, yeah, that's where
we're tuning in.

Speaker 2 (11:30):
So there's no surprises, no, of course, I like, we're
all adults.

Speaker 3 (11:33):
We're adults watching a show made by adults for adults,
starring adults.

Speaker 1 (11:37):
Hey, do the housewives like you?

Speaker 2 (11:39):
I think most of them do? Most of them do?

Speaker 3 (11:42):
I think anyone who doesn't like us just sort of
steers clear of us. I like to think that this point,
like we have a little bit of heft, so that way,
if someone comes for us will be like whatever, we're
gonna go to the people with it. That's in my
fantasy because I pretend I'm Taylor Swift and I've been sweeties.
But I think I've I think actually generally like a
lot of the housewives were super chill with us.

Speaker 2 (12:02):
Yeah, there you go, so Ben, what else is on
the horizon? Watch what crappens? Of course, now taking it
out to local places where people can show up and watch. Yeah,
we're actually so well.

Speaker 3 (12:14):
Next week we're doing Netflix as a Joke, which is
a big comedy festival happening in La So we're doing
a show there, and then we're going to Europe and
et cetera and.

Speaker 2 (12:20):
All that fun stuff.

Speaker 3 (12:22):
And you know, you know, when I'm not podcasting, I am.
You know, I love me some Ina Garten, So I'm cooking.
I am doing some barefoot Contessa. Have you become one
of her gauge yet? That is literally my dream in
life like this, that's all I am hoping that she
is right now in the Hampton's listening and says, wait,
there's another gay who wants me to wants to take

(12:44):
wants me to take him in right, that will be me, hopefully.

Speaker 2 (12:47):
I think she's a big barn out back where all
the games have bunk beds.

Speaker 3 (12:50):
I would literally like just put just cram me in there,
because I want to be there.

Speaker 2 (12:56):
You know.

Speaker 3 (12:56):
I once saw Miguel her floors in the airport and
I went up to him and I was like, oh
my god, I love you.

Speaker 2 (13:04):
How did he respond to that? He was like, oh Hi.

Speaker 3 (13:07):
I was like, go Ana's great too. He's like, yeah,
she's great. I was like, Okay, we'll have a nice flight.
Any of the questions were being thought, Man, this is
your chance. Don't don't blow it.

Speaker 4 (13:18):
I feel like I'm going to mess it up.

Speaker 2 (13:20):
You can't mess it up, no, honey.

Speaker 4 (13:21):
Okay. So, if you could bring back one housewife to
any franchise, m yeah, who would it be.

Speaker 3 (13:30):
Oh, that's such a good question there, and there's so
many you know. Oddly enough, one of my favorite housewives
so I thought was gone too early was Claudia Jordan.

Speaker 2 (13:40):
Oh yeah, exactly.

Speaker 3 (13:44):
She was the only one in the history of Real
Housewives of Atlanta who could read Nini down. And she
was gone after one season, and I feel like she
should get another shot. Also maybe controversial, controversially, I actually
really like Noela on Real Housewives of Orange County and
I felt like she deserved a second season.

Speaker 4 (14:01):
Yeah, and then she was a disaster, found out so
many things after she was gone from the show.

Speaker 2 (14:07):
Yeah, bring her back.

Speaker 5 (14:11):
So on the flip side of Diamond's question, if you
had to fire one of the housewives who are getting.

Speaker 3 (14:14):
Rid of dead wait listen, they're all wonderful, but definitely
Gina from the Arms County. Wow, she seems really nice.
She seems really you know, she seems really really nice.
She's one of New York's own. But she's been their
way too long. I don't know how she has been
on that show for so long. I think it's time

(14:35):
for her to move on and she can work on
her candles and her skincare and you know, moving out
of that condo.

Speaker 2 (14:43):
So you know, who's your housewife.

Speaker 7 (14:47):
With your favorite side the favorite side hustle, because they
all have something going and all.

Speaker 3 (14:51):
Have something going on because there's so many ridiculous side hustles.
I mean, obviously Countess the Way and has I think
the most famous side hustle, which I'm I'm partial to
her because hers like makes no sense, her music everything, like,
she's she's a she has a cabaret sho. She's a
countess of a cabaret show. It makes no sense. But

(15:12):
they always they always play weird things. I mean, Vador
Parks is a mortician. Shannon Bador just came out with
a colon. It like a thing you stick up your butt.

Speaker 4 (15:20):
You know.

Speaker 3 (15:21):
Like if they have like one scene that's noteworthy on Bravo,
they're like, oh, well, I can make this into a
TV into a thing. I'm gonna sell it on a
TV And the next thing you know, they're selling like
Swiss army knives of their own brand and Swiss army
knife or something machine.

Speaker 1 (15:36):
To get, you know, just in case they're not on
the show one day. Then you have to figure out
how to.

Speaker 2 (15:39):
Make money and it comes out of nowhere. It's often.

Speaker 3 (15:42):
There was one in Real Househoves that d you buy
in the reunion, one of them, one of the ladies, Nina,
was like, you know, you didn't support me with my business,
and they all said, what business do you have? She goes,
I sell fruitcakes.

Speaker 2 (15:56):
I mean we would support that any Mandilico, thank you
for coming in so much for having watched what ha happens.
That's what's going on tour. I'm sorry. Was that funny?
Elvista ran in the morning show
