One of the greatest things about this job, and there
are there are many. Our internship program. It comes and goes,
it's here sometimes and some years we don't have I don't.
I don't know why. Why is it? Why do we
have internship programs some years and not others? Budgetary reasons?
Oh yeah, we pay interns now we do. Yeah, yeah,
I mean I think the going rate it's like one
hundred and seventy five grand a year. That crazy.

Speaker 1 (00:30):
Wait a minute, I want to be.

Speaker 2 (00:33):
Well, I thought they used to make more than Sorry. Well,
this year we have two returning interns, and I love
both of them. They're both just incredible people. But now
we have three new interns. Let's get Are you scary
to have music for this? Would you like anything? Because
the TikTok TikTok time is a tick in. They're about

(00:55):
to graduate. It is now time for meet the intern. Hello,

Speaker 2 (02:22):
So to our new class of interns, keep in mind
when it's time to leave, you got to write, maybe
lie and write a nice note of it, how many
things you learn from us and how you love us?

Speaker 5 (02:31):
I didn't lie. It was all very true.

Speaker 2 (02:33):

Speaker 2 (03:21):

Speaker 2 (03:25):
It's so I'm sure you're looking forward to returning kind
of did you ever want to live in New York
And how where are you living? How do you afford
to live here?

Speaker 8 (03:33):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (03:33):
I live in the Lower east Side right now.

Speaker 9 (03:35):
I have a room that's like one thousand dollars a month,
like randomly. I live with two random dudes.

Speaker 5 (03:40):
But it's fun.

Speaker 1 (03:42):
That's very New York City that you didn't know them
before you moved in.

Speaker 5 (03:44):
No, I found the room on Facebook, all right?

Speaker 2 (03:47):
Yeah, yes, wait, you're on Facebook.

Speaker 5 (03:50):
No. I like downloaded Facebook just to find the room.
That's the only.

Speaker 2 (03:54):
Reason, my god, I may going to Facebook. I make
me go back to Facebook. I need a room one
thousand dollars and it's a room.

Speaker 5 (04:01):
It is a room. The apartment's tiny, but like serves
as purpose. I never see my roommates somehow. How many
bathrooms are in there? One but my.

Speaker 9 (04:08):
Roommates are clean, okay, okay, which is which is good.
I was like a little bit scared because they're boys,
But that's good. They're clean, they're nice.

Speaker 2 (04:14):
Boys are scary and itchy. But you live on the
east Side, the Lower east Side. Yeah, well wow, so
that's a great way to start your life in New
York City.

Speaker 5 (04:23):
I love it.

Speaker 2 (04:24):
Yeah, so fun Lower east Side. Yeah, so it's so
Alphabet City, which is close to where you live. Yes,
I used to said, you didn't go there back in
the day.

Speaker 1 (04:33):
What rent is based on?

Speaker 2 (04:34):
Yeah? Way, so she had to score some smack or something,
you know, But now it's some high rent stuff. But yeah,
some of the best clubs and restaurants everything, and you
can you can actually live expensively, but you can eat
inexpensively on the Lower East Side definitely and still get
the smack and still get your smack.

Speaker 5 (04:50):
Don't worry.

Speaker 2 (04:51):
Well, welcome to the internship program.

Speaker 5 (04:52):
Thank you?

Speaker 2 (04:53):
Is radio your thing? Or journalism? What?

Speaker 9 (04:55):
What?

Speaker 2 (04:56):
What's your deal?

Speaker 7 (04:57):
Not?

Speaker 5 (04:57):
Really?

Speaker 9 (04:58):
I like have done a bunch of stuff. It's mainly
digital marketing stuff. I've worked at on arts management side
of things, digital marketing on a record label, and then
I was at Live Nation last Wow, I'm here.

Speaker 2 (05:09):
You got out of there just right before the lawsuit. Great,
Happy belated birthday to you. Welcome in turn Victoria. Yeah

Speaker 7 (05:22):

Speaker 2 (05:23):
Where are you from?

Speaker 8 (05:25):
So? I was born and raised in New York?

Speaker 2 (05:27):
Wait? What happened? Or I'm getting one mixed up? Are
you were? You're borning rights here.

Speaker 5 (05:33):
Yeah, I lived here my whole life.

Speaker 2 (05:36):
How come no one corrected me earlier?

Speaker 5 (05:38):
You said Victoria first, and that you call her?

Speaker 3 (05:43):
Now?

Speaker 2 (05:43):
Where are you from?

Speaker 4 (05:44):
So?

Speaker 8 (05:44):
I was born, born and raised in New York. I
lived in New York my whole life in New York City, Chelsea, Manhattan?

Speaker 2 (05:51):
Yeah, so not too.

Speaker 5 (05:52):
Far from here.

Speaker 2 (05:53):
Are you living with relatives?

Speaker 1 (05:55):
Yes?

Speaker 5 (05:55):
I live with my mom.

Speaker 2 (05:57):
Is she making you pay a thousand dollars a month
and making you live in?

Speaker 5 (05:59):
To know my parents?

Speaker 8 (06:03):
They're like, I'm fortunate enough that they're helping, you know,
and I get to, you know, live for free.

Speaker 2 (06:09):
And Chelsea another vibrant, festive area.

Speaker 5 (06:12):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (06:12):
Actually yeah, well so welcome home. I guess.

Speaker 5 (06:16):
Thank you.

Speaker 2 (06:16):
So you're studying, what where's your direction? What's your journey?

Speaker 3 (06:20):
So?

Speaker 5 (06:20):
I'm in school right now for marketing.

Speaker 8 (06:22):
I just I'm about to finish my associates and literally
July and then I'm going for my bachelor's at Baroke College.

Speaker 2 (06:29):
Wow, look at you. So what are your impressions of
this place so far?

Speaker 8 (06:34):
I like it so far. I feel like everyone's really
friendly and like, you know, they're very have a lot
of energy.

Speaker 2 (06:42):
Which could mean so many.

Speaker 1 (06:43):
Things and RK accent love it.

Speaker 5 (06:46):
Oh my god, everyone says that.

Speaker 2 (06:49):
So Daniel knows she's from the Bronx. Yeah, well, any questions,
any thoughts or suggestions, good luck, go ahead.

Speaker 8 (06:59):
I really like it here. I think you guys are
doing great. I love that everyone's like really friendly.

Speaker 5 (07:04):
So give it a minute.

Speaker 4 (07:06):
Yea.

Speaker 2 (07:07):
I'm on to here like one day a week. I'm
sure when I'm not here they're mean, well welcome.

Speaker 3 (07:12):
Wait, there's a fun fact about her. So she's a
huge Justin Bieber fan number one. And there's a picture.
Remember when you sent Diamond to the Justin Bieber concert
and she was up in the front row.

Speaker 2 (07:21):
Never I never did that.

Speaker 3 (07:24):
There's a picture she is in Victoria's in the back
of the picture that she's like such a big fan.

Speaker 5 (07:29):
She was there.

Speaker 3 (07:29):
She also used to camp out here and try to
get Beba.

Speaker 8 (07:32):
Yeah, there was one time I came. Well, I didn't
come actually, so I was supposed to come. Everybody was like, oh,
like Justin Weaver is going to be at the Elvis
Aranchel tomorrow, like come up. And I went to his
concert like the night before and I was so tired,
and I'm like, I'm not gonna go like, I'm just
going to rest in. And then I see that you
guys like did a meet and greet with fans with him,
and I was so mad, and I'm like, why did

(07:53):
I not come up here?

Speaker 5 (07:56):
Please please do because that's my dream.

Speaker 2 (07:59):
I took a nap in my really don't ask. Oh, okay, well,
welcome to the show so much. All right, Daniel, you're
the problem intern here.

Speaker 5 (08:09):
That's how we're starting this.

Speaker 2 (08:12):
Absolutely. Now. I see that you text the Morning Show
a lot. I do text the Morning Show. I mean
there's like forty five thousand texts.

Speaker 4 (08:22):
I don't think it's forty five thousand. I'd say close
to maybe forty five.

Speaker 2 (08:26):
Did you see all the text from this guy? Huh? Well,
welcome to the show.

Speaker 5 (08:30):
I'm an engaged listener.

Speaker 2 (08:31):
What can I say? I'm so, what's your story? Where
are you from?

Speaker 8 (08:35):
So?

Speaker 4 (08:35):
I'm from Long Island. So nice train ride in here
to the city, which is great. And yeah, I'm going
to school for mass communications with the concentration and broadcasting,
so to put that in simpler words, radio and television. Okay,
So this is what I want to do, This is
what I want to be. I want to be on
radio in the future, and yeah.

Speaker 2 (08:53):
Why wait, you seem to be on it right now.
I know, seems to be okay, so we'll welcome. Is
there anything you want to accomplish from your time here,
because it sounds like if you're taking classes there are
mass communications, you're learning more there than we ever learned.

Speaker 4 (09:09):
Seriously, I think a big part of this experience for
me is just learning from as many different people as
I can, even outside of the morning show. I mean,
I just yesterday, I was here till ten o'clock at
night and I got here at five point thirty in
the morning, So it was a long day yesterday for me.
But I got to hang out with some of the
on air personalities at Z later in the day. They've

(09:30):
been awesome, which is letting me come in learn from them,
help them out with some stuff that they have going
on there, which has been awesome.

Speaker 2 (09:36):
So cool. Yeah, you know that's how I did it.

Speaker 1 (09:39):
I would I would come in at five am and
I would leave at five pm. Every day when I
was in intern and I would walk around and just say,
does anybody need help?

Speaker 5 (09:46):
Does anybody need help? What can I help?

Speaker 2 (09:48):
Well, you and I both did the same thing. But
now we show up at six am and leave at
seven am late. Well, welcome to the show.

Speaker 5 (09:56):
Thank you.

Speaker 2 (09:56):
We're gonna have a great season, I predict. Now we
have rules. Oh, when there's a buffet, never get in
front of us intofet, because we'll eat your hand off.

Speaker 1 (10:06):
So that's only because we have to be back on
the air quickly. It's not because we're divas.

Speaker 2 (10:10):
There's a reason. Well, I was just kidding rules here.
I respect the rules here. I just got to say.

Speaker 4 (10:17):
Scary came up to me and told me that Internsan
was to get first online. So we said that we
get first DIBs and just to come around.

Speaker 2 (10:23):
And under the bus on your second day.

Speaker 4 (10:26):
It was it was like we were told right away.

Speaker 2 (10:32):
What Jack, No, it's true.

Speaker 8 (10:34):
You know.

Speaker 6 (10:34):
I was here last year and I thought it was
a little weird because I thought you guys usually get first,
and then Scary just comes in and he's like, oh,
like the interns, like you guys go first.

Speaker 4 (10:43):
So I was like, you know, like I lived at it,
like I like, shouldn't the show get first DIBs? And
he was like no, like go ahead, you're an interurn,
like you're one of us now. It's scary about.

Speaker 2 (10:55):
We're kidding. I will tell you that. You know, we
do get lavish buffets up here all the time. I mean,
I think it's whatever cares you.

Speaker 4 (11:02):
Know what you did say that we want to talk
about things you did say. You called me eleven a
little while ago. I'm nineteen, for the record, and if
I'm eleven and you're like sixty seven, so let's just
set that record straight.

Speaker 2 (11:13):
Oh, this is not going here, This is okay, okay,
by hold you're first of all, you're not his superior,
first of all.

Speaker 4 (11:22):
And of course, and of course, Elvis, thank you for
letting me on here. I'm actually sixty seven.

Speaker 2 (11:28):
Year It was, does we play a round? Okay? Well,
obviously you're not taking it very well.

Speaker 5 (11:34):
I was being sarcastic.

Speaker 2 (11:36):
I called him, oh my eleven, I called you sixty seven.
Gods something to say to interject, I.

Speaker 3 (11:44):
Actually just want to watch the fight.

Speaker 5 (11:45):
Keep going.

Speaker 2 (11:48):
Corn at that point. Wait, wait, yes, yeah, yes, ma'am,
what's going on? Come on to hit the microphone, Yes, ma'am,
I doesn't that one doesn't work.

Speaker 7 (11:55):
We're to clarification. Were you saying that he was eleven
years old? That he was eleven from Stranger Thanks because
I like.

Speaker 5 (12:04):
And I thought that you were safe for stranger things
like eleven.

Speaker 2 (12:09):
Ye, you were just as weird as last time. Oh
my god, it's so good talking and turns bet screw
you puppies just arrived. Anyway, Welcome to the show, And
I would say, stairclear or scary. He's already got it
out for you. So sorry, God, he's got that for you. Anyway,
It's gonna be a lot of fun. We love having

(12:29):
we love having fresh meat in the house, you know,
because you know, we've been doing this for so many years.
It's great to have a new perspective. And sometimes we
have to pay people to come in and give it
to us. And so therefore, enjoy your one hundred and
seventy five thousand dollars semester that we're paying you for.

Speaker 4 (12:45):
That is what you're getting, right, No, damn, she wanted
to be living with two random dudes.

Speaker 2 (12:55):
I would anyway, Well, welcome to the show, and let's
have let's have a good semester or whatever this is,
shall we all right? A good summary
