Speaker 1 (00:01):
Today's Daily Highlight from Elvis Duran in the Morning show.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
I started getting a little anxiety yesterday. Why what do
we wear?

Speaker 3 (00:09):
Oh yeah, here we go.

Speaker 4 (00:11):
What are we wearing?

Speaker 2 (00:12):
Well, yeah, if you and Daniel just wear onesies, then
we're fine.

Speaker 3 (00:15):
And Philly, we usually done that.

Speaker 2 (00:17):
Yeah, I know they sold that concert out in a
minute because these people want to come to that show.

Speaker 4 (00:22):
And you're gonna wear a onesie.

Speaker 3 (00:23):
Onesies are very festive.

Speaker 5 (00:25):
Come on, rein Deer onesies, Santa Claus and onesies.

Speaker 3 (00:28):
They're very festive. You can eat pizza in a onese,
that's right. You can expand in a onesie. Nobody questioned you.

Speaker 2 (00:34):
Hey, look at this over overhead lighting. You know, I
went off on a gay tangent the other day about
overhead lighting. I just don't I just don't like it.
I don't think it makes us look good, you know.
But look, we were born and raised. We live in
a world of overhead lighting. But like the lights in
this room, the lights in a lot of rooms, just

(00:55):
don't turn them on, got off, use lamps or uplighting
up the wall all you know, that's always nice. So
Mariah Carey was on one of our iHeart podcasts, the
one hosted by Bowen Yang from SNL and Matt Rodgers
talking about overheadlighting. So she was in the room with them.

(01:15):
But listen to her philosophy on this my girl, she
has it down. You want to hear what she said.

Speaker 6 (01:21):
Listen, I can't with the overhead lighting. Oh why do
they do it to us?

Speaker 4 (01:27):
Why?

Speaker 6 (01:28):
And I shouldn't even say us, because it's not us,
it's me. I'm the one that gets the most tortured
by the hideous lighting in every elevator, doorway, gyms. Not
that I go to the gym, but I'm just saying
it's hideous lighting.

Speaker 4 (01:44):
The sun.

Speaker 6 (01:45):
I mean, the sun is okay if it's at sunset,
and then I will gladly go outside and put the
you know, there's a hat on or whatever, and that'll
be pretty because it's sunlight caressing your skin. But it's
bad for you, so you gotta be careful of that.
But overhead lighting, I don't think so, honey, please stop it.
Every place I go, I shut the lights, turn them out.

(02:05):
I don't want to see them no more. One more thing.
Overhead lighting. It makes me sick.

Speaker 4 (02:11):
And when to rye on that?

Speaker 2 (02:12):
Mariah that's why you do have these wonderful, beautiful chandeliers
and things. Okay, turn them off. They're still hanging there.
There's still you know, artwork if you want to look
at them, like, why are you leaving the room? We're
talking about overhead lighting.

Speaker 1 (02:23):
All right, it's terrible. And not only is the overhead here,
it's fluoresca it's.

Speaker 4 (02:28):
All yeah, no, we look awful. What's scary? So I
took a lighting course in college and can we take
a break. It will be read back, okay, okay, go ahead.
And the truth is what happens with overhead lighting is
because of the angle on which the light is hitting,
it actually shines your nose and the top of your
head and it makes your eyes sunken in and shadowy.

Speaker 2 (02:52):
There you go, and so so your nose actually now
you have shadows under your nose that make your nose
look different over here, which is like a drama thing.
Or there's overhead lighting one on one right.

Speaker 3 (03:03):
After you get credit you got three cruds for that.

Speaker 4 (03:05):
Classic acting courses. Oh no, that was one of those
electives that I needed to just fill up my schedule.
Lighting light. I love that, well, scary, do something to
light again, So we need something coming from like from
the backside of the front of the room, and yeah,
we need we got to fix this.

Speaker 1 (03:19):
Yeah, we should all just get individual ring lights and
be blinded all day.

Speaker 3 (03:23):
I thought we had to say when we built the studio.

Speaker 7 (03:25):
What.

Speaker 2 (03:26):
No, we're learning every day. There's things going on this
studio that we do not approve it. But you've been
on TV sets and film sets. The heat generated by
those lights is intense. Now, the melting and there's new
lighting that they have. They have the filters on. Okay,
I think we had them in our old studio. Actually
a couple.

Speaker 3 (03:43):
Yeah, also you look good, So who cares?

Speaker 4 (03:45):
Yes, what they don't they?

Speaker 3 (03:48):
Why didn't they listen to us?

Speaker 1 (03:49):
And they change the lighting and then we get lit
from below and we all just look like they're telling
scary stories.

Speaker 2 (03:55):
One flashlight person, Mariah though, she's onto something, you something,
and we tell this story all the time. One time
she came to do our show and she insisted on
having a fan on in the room to blow her hair. Yes,
and look, you know, in a lot of photo shoots
in the modeling world, they do that because they want
to add movement to the photo with light. With the
hair movie, and I explained to her, I said, Mariah, you're

(04:18):
doing audio.

Speaker 4 (04:21):
It's not like she said, dotting, Dolling.

Speaker 2 (04:23):
You know me, there will be a camera close by,
I said, but if you turn a fan on in
front of these microphones, you're gonna be it's gonna be
like that. He's gonna sound. You're gonna sound like a
guy from the Weather channel out reporting from a storm. Yes,
like they hit the head with a stop sign. Oh
my god, we don't need that, she said, Dolling just

(04:47):
tut on the fan. So we had to. So if
you listen to one of these old Mariah Carey interviews,
you hear in the background she wanted to look good.

Speaker 3 (04:59):
She also has her side. She knows her best, she does,
and she need not let you stand on now.

Speaker 2 (05:03):
Well, a recent interview that came in I was they
asked politely if they could switch.

Speaker 4 (05:08):
Sides with me.

Speaker 3 (05:10):
Oh they did, who wasn't.

Speaker 4 (05:12):
I'm not gonna say it out right because.

Speaker 3 (05:14):
People I don't know. My god, I don't think I have.

Speaker 4 (05:15):
A good side.

Speaker 2 (05:17):
I specifically said our recent interview, I would have said then.

Speaker 3 (05:20):
I think a lot of celebrities don't know their good side.

Speaker 4 (05:22):
For sure.

Speaker 2 (05:22):
I don't have I don't have a good side, especially
with overhead lighting. I don't know, there is no good
side with overhead lighting.

Speaker 4 (05:30):
I have a side I prefer.

Speaker 3 (05:31):
I don't know if i'd call it good.

Speaker 4 (05:33):
Oh yeah, how can you tell the difference?

Speaker 1 (05:36):
I have a forehead veane that is only visible when
I'm standing with my face.

Speaker 4 (05:40):
One way of forehead vein is preminent.

Speaker 1 (05:43):
Oh yeah, right, spam right here, I see it.

Speaker 4 (05:47):
I don't see it. What what about you, Daniel? Do
you have a good side?

Speaker 3 (05:50):
I don't know.

Speaker 5 (05:50):
I know, I know when I'm walking, I have a
side that I prefer to walk on, Like if I'm
walking with someone, I need to be on their left
a more compon.

Speaker 3 (06:00):
I don't know why.

Speaker 5 (06:00):
It's so stupid, but that's how I am. But I
but I don't think I have a good signe. She'll
try it out.

Speaker 2 (06:06):
No, all right, Well, you know it's it's funny how
a lot of celebrities who do a lot of photos,
a lot of you know whatever. I guess you know
what it takes one person like a stylist to go Mariah,
you know you need to understand something. You look much
better with your left side looking.

Speaker 4 (06:24):
At the camera. Right.

Speaker 2 (06:25):
Look at Mariah Carey's photos if you do a search
right now, one of it. But she's always facing in
the same direction. And if she's not, that means they
reverse the photo. Yeah, Mariah Carrey Google images. Here we go,
here we go. Yeah, she cheats, she cheats to her left. Yeah,

(06:47):
there she is.

Speaker 3 (06:48):
Oh, yeah, she cheats to left.

Speaker 4 (06:49):
It's okay.

Speaker 2 (06:50):
She looks She always looks flawless. I think, what about diamond, diamond?

Speaker 4 (06:54):
What should do you have a good side?

Speaker 3 (06:56):
It depends, but usually I like.

Speaker 7 (07:00):
From down below, Well, it has the angle has to
be up right. And then I go to my I
lean to my right. Wow, so you left.

Speaker 2 (07:09):
You've thought this through. Now where did this come from?
What made you decide to do that every time? So
when has a camera?

Speaker 7 (07:15):
Oh, because my face is too round, like straight like
if a camera is right in front of me, girl,
so I have to turn it to the side a
little bit.

Speaker 2 (07:24):
Well, I did some studying, okay, and I did check
out one celebrity and she she all sides looked great
on her.

Speaker 4 (07:34):
Share.

Speaker 2 (07:35):
Of course, I'm thinking about pushing the button.

Speaker 3 (07:42):
Oh, put it while you look for the button.

Speaker 1 (07:46):
There are celebrities to come in here, and they don't
let us post any pictures until their team has approved it. Right, Yeah,
but our photographer has the before and afters, and the
photoshop that they do on these photos is so funny.
They make all of us look fatter and they make
these stars look skinnier.

Speaker 3 (07:59):
That has happened?

Speaker 4 (08:00):
Scary? Does that?

Speaker 3 (08:01):
Damn you?

Speaker 4 (08:02):
Scary? Scary?

Speaker 2 (08:03):
I saw a photo of you on the beach with
your girlfriend with your shirt off. That is not your body,
it's not your head, that's not your face. I mean
I was like, who is this? I think I thought
your girlfriend was cheating on you.

Speaker 4 (08:17):
Who's this guy? Just one picture? I said, The only
way we're posting this picture is if you just give
me a little bit of a shave off the side,
like a little bit of a shave. It was like
it was like, hey.

Speaker 2 (08:29):
Let me say, let me see I need to you know,
you look great.

Speaker 4 (08:33):
You look great. I'm not saying you don't you you
don't look like you look awesome. Someone said I looked
like trunk and head from beetlejuice.

Speaker 2 (08:42):
I mean, it didn't shave off a little. It was
like one of those those meat slicers you use. It
like a charcoonery.

Speaker 3 (08:47):
Did you edit it?

Speaker 6 (08:48):
Like?

Speaker 3 (08:48):
Did you edit it?

Speaker 6 (08:49):
Mike?

Speaker 4 (08:49):
Take Come on, I took a little bit of it
looks good. I mean maybe you should go.

Speaker 2 (08:53):
You should get into that business with editing photos for
our celebrities that come in here.

Speaker 4 (08:57):
You look good.

Speaker 3 (08:58):
My thing about editing it too much. And when they
see you a person, they go, where's the parson?

Speaker 1 (09:05):
If you go missing, no one.

Speaker 3 (09:06):
Will find you, you know.

Speaker 4 (09:07):
I mean we all like that. We all have.

Speaker 2 (09:09):
We have a good friend who I mean, when she's
done with her photos, she looks like a melting candle.

Speaker 3 (09:15):
Oh my, oh yes, we do.

Speaker 4 (09:17):
Shrunken a headman from Beetle Cheers.

Speaker 3 (09:21):
He was just in here, shrunk ahead. He came to visit.

Speaker 4 (09:26):
That was scary, scarcely scary. I don't even know where
we're
