to you about. That's not true, but that's why I'm here. See,
(01:14):
Sophie's trajectory is to the moon. Your I don't know,
you're kind of wobbling out there, washed up. Thank you, Elvis.
Speaker 4 (01:23):
You and I are in the washing machine. It's a
couple of washed up has been.
Speaker 2 (01:30):
Stops.
Speaker 4 (01:30):
Remember when we were relevant? Yes, I do. I mean
it's been a while, but you know, I love you, Bobby,
and I love Sophie. I do.
Speaker 6 (01:40):
I do.
Speaker 3 (01:40):
I do want to make an announcement about Bobby Flay
and his incredible daughter, Sophie.
Speaker 4 (01:45):
They are roommates now, that is true. Can you imagine
living with your dad? Oh my god? She she let me.
Speaker 7 (01:52):
Just say this, But I'm living the dream. I'm living
the dream. He makes me dinner every night.
Speaker 3 (01:57):
She had Coco Van last night, and he make you
had you had the old walk to work. Sometimes that's great.
Speaker 4 (02:06):
I do.
Speaker 2 (02:07):
It's very nice.
Speaker 8 (02:08):
And you know what's really funny, Like about a half
a block from the from the front door of the
building where she works, She's like, all right, that's good,
Like you know, like when you walking your kids just
set and they don't want they don't want the students,
the other students to see that.
Speaker 4 (02:21):
Yeah, like that's good.
Speaker 1 (02:22):
I was like, Oh, my friend used to lean over
pretend she was fixing her socks so nobody would see.
Speaker 4 (02:27):
Her mom dropping her off.
Speaker 2 (02:29):
Wow, try that later, all right.
Speaker 3 (02:32):
So Sophie, by the way, we're so glad you're here.
We have we have like a new superstar here in
New York.
Speaker 8 (02:40):
I mean, yes, I'm very proud of her, you know.
She she set her sights on broadcast journalism when she
was when she went to college at USC, went there
for four years, which was an amazing experience, and actually
have to say, like, not only for her, it was
really a good experience for me because I dropped out
of high school. So I I literally lived vicariously through
(03:02):
Sophie at USC, which is amazing four years. The day
she graduated, I walked around the calls and cried myself
because I was like, seriously, I.
Speaker 3 (03:10):
Mean, I was like so proud of her because I
was going to miss it. It was like, it was
great to be able to go visit that place and
watch her become an adult.
Speaker 4 (03:17):
It was cool. So why is that so hard to understand?
Speaker 3 (03:20):
Well, I'm just I'm trying to understand why we're even
talking to you.
Speaker 4 (03:26):
What just happened? I mean, oh what, Froggy is it? Froggy?
Can you feel the shame here in the room? Oh
I can't. You're being being very nice to Bobby, to
that Gandhi, What is happening?
Speaker 8 (03:39):
See, Dondhi's not here, Froggy's not here. Everybody like nobody
comes to work, and.
Speaker 3 (03:43):
Gandhi did not probably Gandhi did not want to share
oxygen with Bobby play.
Speaker 2 (03:48):
That was my very specific Oh.
Speaker 3 (03:50):
Yeah, look, let let's talk it. Let's let's get down
to my favorite story is. And also Sophie's boyfriend lives there,
who we met now, but hold on, he's hot.
Speaker 8 (03:59):
Let's just get walk naked in your household on before
we get to Travor one second, let's get to Sophie's
Sophy got a new big job.
Speaker 4 (04:07):
Yes, can we talk about it?
Speaker 8 (04:09):
We have to talk about so of course she's public
it's ABC News, she's on the national desk, World News Now,
and also GM A first look.
Speaker 4 (04:18):
It's it is in the middle of the night. Let's
be let's be real.
Speaker 2 (04:21):
Well, it's very early morning, very early morning.
Speaker 4 (04:23):
It's o'clock in the morning. It's network.
Speaker 2 (04:25):
She already worked today, guy, Yes, what are.
Speaker 4 (04:28):
Your hours again?
Speaker 7 (04:29):
Our first shows at two am and our second show
is at three point thirty if you're in Connecticut, and
four am for the rest of the country.
Speaker 3 (04:36):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (04:36):
And now what do you like the rest of the day?
What do you what do you do? I get to
come here, but really don't. I mean, I don't think
you're working though.
Speaker 7 (04:44):
She's hanging out her dad, and then I wake up
and I do it again, keep doing it.
Speaker 4 (04:48):
She's hanging out her dad's apartment with her hot boyfriend. Exactly.
Speaker 3 (04:51):
Well, dad's at work. Hey, but that's really cool. I
mean ABC, And in journalist, a journalist, there's credibility there.
Speaker 4 (04:59):
No, she it's a serious journalist. This's awesome.
Speaker 3 (05:01):
That's awesome, and you deserve it because I used to
watch a lot of your segments you did out in
Los Angeles.
Speaker 4 (05:06):
She's good. You do you get it? What do you
What do you get from your dad? As far as professionalism?
Speaker 3 (05:15):
Well, yeah, a good food, sometimes a little too salty,
but no question, though, what what do you want to
look your head in the eye and say? As far
as a thank you for what you have inherited from
him as far as wow on the spot.
Speaker 4 (05:31):
No really, no, I'm serious.
Speaker 2 (05:32):
No, I mean he's such a great role model.
Speaker 7 (05:34):
I think that what way in so many ways truly,
but he leads with kindness, he leads with work ethic,
and you know, I hope that that's what I've been
able to take away from him and and copy.
Speaker 2 (05:46):
I mean that's he's truly just such a great role model.
Speaker 3 (05:48):
So growing up in Bobby Flay's house, you saw this
man who worked around the clock, and he still does.
Speaker 4 (05:55):
He's got that. That's why he's not radio, because we
don't work. We just sit here. You know.
Speaker 8 (06:00):
I have to say, like when she was a kid,
she was always running around the restaurants doing one thing
or another. And I think watching all these people work
really hard and also love what they do for a
living made her want to go to work.
Speaker 4 (06:13):
Okay, I mean seriously, is it absolutely? I think that
that's I think that that was kinds.
Speaker 8 (06:19):
Of like like that that kind of exposure like creates part.
Speaker 4 (06:25):
Of your adulthood as well. I mean, I really do
the So now you're doing a podcast, I mean I'm
doing radio. I'm going backwards.
Speaker 3 (06:40):
It's way far backwards. Well, you guys, it came out
shooting at me this morning. I don't know what's going
on around here.
Speaker 2 (06:46):
I just would like to point out I've been the
nice one.
Speaker 3 (06:48):
You have Daniel so much. Remember that, Sophie has been
very nice. Daniel said, let's get me in here and
see if he's engaged.
Speaker 4 (06:55):
Engaged. She was wearing a diamond the size of my
head on her finger.
Speaker 8 (07:00):
That's true, but it was on the other other hand,
and what did you tell me it was a friendship ring.
Speaker 4 (07:07):
We're fourty ring. I'm not engaged, Sophie. Why is your deadline? God? Wait, God,
chime in.
Speaker 9 (07:13):
I totally believe him, and I will say because when
I first saw it and everybody was making this big deal,
I sent him the congratulations of The first thing he
wrote back was I'm not engaged.
Speaker 4 (07:21):
Ye of course.
Speaker 9 (07:21):
So I don't understand, Like, why why would he lie
about it?
Speaker 4 (07:24):
That's the story they want you to believe. It's not
it's not.
Speaker 8 (07:26):
We have we both don't want to get married again.
It's okay, so like that. It's great having a life partner. Yeah,
And so I wanted to give her something significant to
make her feel committed.
Speaker 4 (07:36):
That's all Sophie's face. You already have you already have
a beautiful, beautiful family. Yes, I do, Sophie, I do.
Speaker 8 (07:43):
But Brooke also has a seventeen year old son. It's
like it's it's all coming together like the Brady Bunch, Sophie,
I don't.
Speaker 4 (07:51):
Know, we're not getting I know we're not getting the
whole story here, but we'll move on. So there's nothing
to say.
Speaker 8 (07:55):
I swear to you that's what the story is. Okay,
all right, he wants to ring what's problem?
Speaker 3 (08:01):
But Bobby, would you tell us any different if there
was a different story, Yes, I would.
Speaker 6 (08:06):
I feel like you'd come here first to make the announcement.
Speaker 10 (08:08):
I'm sure this is where all of these announcements happen
in this room. This is so powerful powerful or he's
got my back? Absolutely, are you going to I bet
he's save me the real story for his podcast.
Speaker 4 (08:22):
Actually, she's gonna brook is gonna be my co host next.
Speaker 1 (08:25):
Week because you did say you're gonna give a little
personal life in the.
Speaker 4 (08:29):
Well the podcast.
Speaker 3 (08:30):
I mean, here's the great thing about the podcast is
that you know, you know, I've been on the Food
Network for thirty years, and those shows are all very
formatted and they and they have concepts and their competitions
and this and that. You don't really get to see
a lot of behind the scenes of of anything, really
my restaurants or my life, or even of the shows.
But I think the podcast is a great opportunity to
(08:50):
show all those things that people are like. People want
to know how things get done, you know, whether it's
your personal life or your business life, et cetera, and
things like that.
Speaker 8 (08:58):
People ask me all the time. I'm sure they ask
you a time, how do you do all the things
that you do? I'd want to do one thing. Oh,
that's true. I'm sorry.
Speaker 4 (09:06):
I will say this. You're a bad example. I'm gonna
say this.
Speaker 3 (09:12):
I want to I'm going to go back to something
you just said about how every's formatted and TV. But
I've always said, from the very first time you sat
in this chair.
Speaker 4 (09:21):
With us, you seem angry. No, I'm I'm hungover.
Speaker 3 (09:26):
Okay, No, No, From the very first time Bobby hung
out with us, you are so fantastic when you're not
reading a friggin teleprompter.
Speaker 8 (09:36):
Well, I don't read teleprompter. I can't read. I'm awful
at it. But I know you're saying, see, there's a format,
here's a format.
Speaker 3 (09:42):
When you're hosting these Bobby Flay shows, it looks as
if you are It sounds as.
Speaker 4 (09:46):
If you're reading from a teleprompter. It's horrible.
Speaker 3 (09:49):
I no, no, but look, you know tele prompters. It
brought a lot of money to a lot of people.
I'm not I'm not messing with the telephone Solphie reads
one every day exactly. But what you're do we hear
is just like when it comes to just say it,
like we could turn left, we could turn right, exactly.
Speaker 4 (10:05):
We have really no goal at our show at all.
Speaker 8 (10:08):
That's why I've loved coming here for all these years,
because it's just like you sit in the chair and
you know, you get you get abused by on the
left to get.
Speaker 4 (10:16):
Abused on the right.
Speaker 8 (10:17):
But it's all in good fun and it's and and
it's you just free willing it. And also like you like,
let's face it, people coming here to obviously promote what
they're up to so people know what's going on, but
also like I mean all of this is like this,
it's like a puzzle every morning that you don't know
the answer.
Speaker 4 (10:35):
To until you actually sit in the chair there is.
It's so awesome.
Speaker 2 (10:38):
Are you disappointed we didn't cook for you today?
Speaker 8 (10:41):
Very This is usually the week we had the Thanksgiving
off and then Daniel gets somebody to cook her food.
Speaker 2 (10:48):
I almost did.
Speaker 3 (10:49):
I know, David Burke, if you're just turning us on,
this is Bobby Flay. It is incredible, incredible daughter and
best friend. Sophie Flay is your may I call you
best friend? Is your want of your best friend?
Speaker 4 (11:00):
We are best friends and your roommates.
Speaker 3 (11:08):
That just like that little thing that pops up on
the turkey, it will they will pop up eventually and
you'll move out.
Speaker 8 (11:12):
Well here's the thing, here's the thing. I mean, I'm
very lucky because Sophie is the in this relationship. Sophie
was like, I'm moving into your house. I didn't say
to her you should come and move back into my house.
I'm coming to live at your house. Like very few
kids want to go live with their parents.
Speaker 4 (11:30):
You could have said no. You should have said no.
Speaker 8 (11:33):
Really, Yeah, she has the key.
Speaker 3 (11:39):
Oh here's someone texting you. They're working at your new
house today. Oh god, no, it doesn't matter. He has
seven Please use the zip code. When you say that,
I need to know what they're talking about. Suffolk County. No, no, no, no,
we're kidding anyway, promote my podcast. Okay, you're good. You're
good at like changing the subject like that. Well, I mean,
(12:03):
who wants to talk about houses?
Speaker 4 (12:04):
I mean I do. Okay, you know I've never been
to your house in Santa Fe.
Speaker 10 (12:09):
You better, you better hurry. It's on the market. No one,
it's not selling. Buy it.
Speaker 4 (12:17):
You won't see. Sophie doesn't want to. I'll show you videos.
Speaker 2 (12:20):
He's got enough.
Speaker 4 (12:22):
I don't have any.
Speaker 3 (12:24):
Are we just found out you're not second homeless, you're fifth,
You're fifth homeless.
Speaker 2 (12:29):
I want to know how many do you have?
Speaker 4 (12:30):
It's adobe well I have. Well, don't answer that. Don't
don't ask that because it's very we.
Speaker 2 (12:36):
Know how many.
Speaker 3 (12:40):
Here's my favorite thing. My phone will be ringing while
we're talking, says a d T Security.
Speaker 4 (12:46):
I'm like, Nate, answer the phone. I can't answer. I'm talking.
What did you do? You answer the phone? How you turning?
Speaker 7 (12:52):
Mind?
Speaker 4 (12:53):
Yeah, the phone, it's eighty T calling. I answered the
phone and they said, the alarms going off at your house,
mister Dranna and I go to el Elvis that the
alarm's going off, and he looks at me and goes,
which house.
Speaker 3 (13:04):
That's my man? Wait, Nate, you're in charge of security.
If I'm talking, we're live, Sophie. If you're doing the
news and your phone rings, it's eighty t you're like, here,
answer this because something.
Speaker 4 (13:16):
Someone's breaking into your house, someone's breaking into your dad's house.
Cares which house? Gandhi's not here today. She's in Columbus. No,
but I see her. She's in Columbus. Yes, Gandhi, speak up. Please,
you always have my back.
Speaker 9 (13:33):
I have a lot of questions about the podcast, but
I don't want to get in a way of the
multiple house talks.
Speaker 4 (13:37):
No, let's get back to the podcast. It's more interesting.
Speaker 9 (13:39):
Well, okay, So with podcasts, from what I've learned, you
are either telling a story or getting someone to tell
their story, or maybe both. Which one are you doing
with this both?
Speaker 4 (13:48):
I have a co host. I have a different co
host every every week. I can't wait.
Speaker 8 (13:52):
Actually, Dadney said to me, like, have Elvis come on
and co hosts of like, hey, won't do it.
Speaker 4 (13:57):
I would do anything. I would happily.
Speaker 3 (14:00):
All right, pitched to your star Bobby Dagney Bookham right
now on the air. I'll be there in a minute, okay,
I'd write your absolutely and it's you know, the great
thing about it is it's twenty one minutes long period.
Speaker 8 (14:09):
That's it. And there's there's lots of video content. There's
all kinds of things we show, like behind the scenes
at my house, which one we so behind the scenes
with my life partner Brooke.
Speaker 4 (14:24):
Or your friend. Yah.
Speaker 3 (14:25):
Here's the intro. By the way, here's a snazzy intro
they produced.
Speaker 4 (14:28):
But Bobby on the beat, that's me we have. That's it,
Bobby on the beat. You know what did you inherit?
My stumbling problem? Yes, stuttering? I like Bobby on the
beat that for half an hour? Do it.
Speaker 8 (14:46):
But Bobby on the beat. Oo, Daddy live in and coming,
Bobby on the beat. So it's called Bobby on the Beat.
Bobby on the beat. So there's all kinds of things
we do. Like I do something called instant reviews. I
actually went to Gordon's Gordon Ramsey's restaurant in Vegas Kitchen.
Speaker 4 (15:00):
I'd never been there before, but here it.
Speaker 3 (15:02):
Is right now, here's but Bobby on the beat talking
about Hell's kitchen.
Speaker 4 (15:08):
Oh my god, Bobby on the beat, it's tremendous the restaurant.
Speaker 11 (15:12):
Yeah, the restaurant's very big and they do tons and
tons and tons of business there. I mean like, it's
one of the highest grossing restaurants in Las Vegas. Listen,
he's got star power. He's a great chef, and people
watch the show.
Speaker 4 (15:25):
That's his triple threat, right, you know, And there you go.
Speaker 8 (15:28):
Yeah, we are not looking for negativity. This I call
it a no hater zone. What's what's the matter?
Speaker 4 (15:34):
You can't have me on it. I'm gonna edit the
hell out of you.
Speaker 6 (15:38):
Don't worry.
Speaker 2 (15:39):
This is a good thing because.
Speaker 1 (15:40):
We have so much negativity in the world right now.
It's nice to put some positivity out there.
Speaker 4 (15:45):
Listen.
Speaker 8 (15:45):
The food business and the restaurant business has been great
to me, right It's been such an important part of
my life. I'm able to have an amazing daughter because
of it. And I just think, like, you know, there's
so many good stories about the restaurant business. And I
also think that if you work in a restaurant like
it teaches you about life. It teaches you about how
(16:07):
to deal with people, how to work alongside of people,
how to work in not perfect conditions. It really, I
really believe that the restaurant business is an amazing place
and it's a great place to work, you know what.
Speaker 3 (16:18):
I love Food Network, But then I rarely see them
tell that story. It's usually how to make you know
black eyed peas in twenty five minutes, right, I have
no problem with that. Yeah, but I really think they
could go deeper into the personalities. And I don't know
everything behind the scenes, behind the back of the house.
Speaker 4 (16:38):
Yeah, I mean, how you run a restaurant.
Speaker 8 (16:40):
Content is cyclical, right, so like right now, competition shows
are things that everybody seems to want to watch, so
they make a lot of them. And that's just the
way it is. I mean, that's why that's the success
to the food Outcare continues to evolve.
Speaker 4 (16:50):
Sophie growing up your dad in the restaurant. I don't
like that. Sophie's here to fact check. No, no, no, no no.
Speaker 3 (16:57):
I'm trying to turn this around to be positive. Plays
Come on, I mean, did he sacrifice a lot? Was
his relationship with you because of the restaurants because it's
around the clock business. Did you miss him at all?
Speaker 7 (17:13):
I mean sure, but I think in the same way
that anyone who has a parent that's working multiple jobs does.
I mean, I don't think that that's any different in
that sense. And again, like he mentioned, I was in
the restaurants constantly growing up, so I saw what hard
work looked like. And he's also very inclusive, so like,
I was lucky that he allowed me to run around
(17:34):
and be there. He could have easily been like, it's
too much, it's not the right environment for a kid.
Instead I was so welcomed and I was there all
the time, so.
Speaker 4 (17:42):
It was great. He could take you to work.
Speaker 2 (17:44):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (17:45):
Yeah, And this is why, this is why she's working
at abctly.
Speaker 4 (17:50):
She's awesome. She knows what's up. I can't read that.
Give him.
Speaker 7 (18:00):
Go.
Speaker 3 (18:00):
We gotta take a break. Why because because we're running
out of things to say.
Speaker 4 (18:04):
No, I think youre gonna say we're running out of money.
That's what happened. Please don't drive down that road here.
What's gonna do.
Speaker 8 (18:12):
I'm gonna talk to you about your new contract.
Speaker 4 (18:16):
I don't have one. I have an idea.
Speaker 3 (18:18):
I have an idea since you are, in my opinion,
great at what we do, because you do it every
time you visit and now it's it's proven every week
on your podcast. I want you and that chair you're in,
I want you to roll it over here, and I
want you to host the next segment on this show.
No problem, but Bobby on the Okay, you and Sophie
(18:40):
can do the show. I'll know the hell home.
Speaker 2 (18:43):
I already did two shows.
Speaker 4 (18:45):
She's done.
Speaker 3 (18:47):
Seriously, would you absolutely, because just like asking me to
drive a car, he can do anything.
Speaker 4 (18:52):
This man can do anything. You just want some time off,
I can tell look at me. I'm just I'm beat
to hell.
Speaker 3 (18:57):
Today we went to that that holiday burlesque show, Santa's Secret.
Speaker 4 (19:03):
How was it? It's great? Well, the lumberjack guy, yeah,
we're sawing wood all night. Oh god, he couldn't wait
to use that.
Speaker 3 (19:13):
No, no, it's true. You got to see it to
believe it. And the drag queen that hosts it hilarious.
And then there's burless going on. I saw Bobies.
Speaker 8 (19:23):
Hey, hey, hey, it's Bobby Flay and I have Hi
Jack the Elvis and the Durret Elvis Durant in the
morning show. I'm getting the name right, don't worry. Buckle up, everybody.
Speaker 4 (19:34):
Yes, it's about to go down. Welcome to Bobby on
the Beat podcast. Oh you have some news. You have
to get out of the way here news. Oh what news?
Speaker 8 (19:45):
Okay, First of all, we need to talk about Beat
Bobby Flay Holiday Throwdown, which is happening Tuesday nights at
eight o'clock for the next few weeks. I have to
tell you the ratings are very very good. People care
about holiday and people care about Beat Bobby Flay.
Speaker 4 (20:01):
So we love that.
Speaker 8 (20:03):
You know, it's it's all the it's all the like
the hosts and the chefs sort of teaming up in
teams of two competing against each other.
Speaker 4 (20:10):
It's awesome.
Speaker 8 (20:10):
And this is like, I think, what season is this, Daggney,
like the fourth and fifth season. She doesn't know she's
looking at that. She's looking she's as gay. I I
think it's the fifth fifth season. So it's been it's
been great. Anyway, Thank you Food Network for all that.
But let's get to Bobby and Bobby on the Beat podcast.
I got my daughter here, I got Elvis sitting down, Hi, and.
Speaker 4 (20:28):
Is uh, I've never You've never been over here? How
does it feel over there? That's the air different.
Speaker 3 (20:34):
They always make fun of the furniture on our show
because they say it looks like a massive penis.
Speaker 4 (20:39):
Yeah, it's like I've never been at the tip. I've
got the this is this is I'm usually down there.
I've got the golden microphone.
Speaker 8 (20:46):
This is like he's a special moment in radio history
right now.
Speaker 9 (20:49):
He does not let people use a microphone. That's his
special mic.
Speaker 4 (20:52):
So this is a big.
Speaker 8 (20:52):
Deal and I'm trying not to get too close to it. Definitely,
my micro has COVID. A hold on, so Daniel, you
do the You're gonna do some like entertainment news as well.
Speaker 4 (21:06):
What you got but hold on, no, no, no, no, hold on.
You have a talkback you have to play?
Speaker 3 (21:10):
Oh yes, explain to people the talkback feature here.
Speaker 4 (21:13):
That's the iHeart Radio app. I have no idea Down
in front of Bobby. Where is it? Oh my god,
you guys are killing me.
Speaker 8 (21:22):
Uh wait, where you can or listen to stright listen
on the free iHeart Radio app and make us your
number one pre set. Yes, run don't walk, okay, hold
on that way you can. You can be connected as
soon as you open the app and get into the car.
There's no searching boom. We're just there, Okay, got it?
Speaker 4 (21:41):
Okay.
Speaker 8 (21:42):
You can also leave us talkback to using the app,
ask us anything, speak to the manager, speak to the manager.
Speaker 4 (21:48):
Whatever you're feeling. You can let us know.
Speaker 8 (21:49):
We also have contests that are only available through the
app listening.
Speaker 3 (21:53):
Also, Bobby on the Beat is on iHeart as well. Absolutely,
And today's the very first episode, so kick it in.
Speaker 4 (22:00):
It is.
Speaker 3 (22:00):
Yes, it's the very very first episode. It's launch day's
it is lunch day, it's premiere day. But Bobby, but
it is exciting. But the talkback feature you just talked about,
We have a talkback you can play. It's about you,
is it? Someone was in their car driving to work
and they left us a talkback.
Speaker 4 (22:15):
I can't wait this one. Yeah, here we go where?
Oh here?
Speaker 2 (22:22):
Bobby is like one of Elvis's gay best friends. They
just rag on each other and I just love it.
You guys, have a wonderful day and happy Thanksgiving.
Speaker 3 (22:32):
You're my gay best friend, you know what, Elvis. I
do feel very close to you, Elvis, I really do. Sophie,
do you know your dad isn't my gay best friend?
Speaker 12 (22:42):
Clearly everyone knows just a friend.
Speaker 3 (22:45):
You give me that ring. So, speaking of Nate Oh no, no,
you have tea on Nate.
Speaker 4 (22:52):
I've heard I have. It's not that I have tea.
Speaker 8 (22:54):
But like in shooting some segments for Bobby on the Beat,
one of the segment as we do, it's, you know,
like influences. Food influences have become obviously a huge deal,
and there's been a little pushback in the food influencer
world from like people who own restaurants, because if people
go in and they don't like it, then the restaurant
tours are kind of like, who do you think you
(23:15):
are critiquing my restaurant? And you know, I kind of
I get both sides of it. But but one thing
about it is that food influencers are here to stay.
I mean, they're important to the business. And there are
some that are really awesome at their jobs and really
know what they're.
Speaker 4 (23:31):
Doing, like my VIP girls. I was just gonna bring
them up. Oh sorry, I'm ruining your punchline anyway, Thank
you anyway.
Speaker 8 (23:38):
So I so what I do is I bring on
some food influencers, I interview them, I talk to them,
get their story about how they started, and then I
give them a quiz, I give them the I give
them the food influencer quiz. So we can accredit them
if they do a good job. Oh, yes they do.
(23:59):
They've been here right, I've been a fan of there
since the very beginning.
Speaker 4 (24:03):
Nate, are you a fan of theirs?
Speaker 11 (24:05):
I am.
Speaker 4 (24:08):
I was trying to get you a date? What's the
Nate connection?
Speaker 11 (24:11):
Go?
Speaker 4 (24:11):
As well as I wanted? Oh, now tell you the
t FLA. Don't you know? Don't you know what? Speak up?
Speaker 3 (24:23):
We had lunch one time and Bobby said, oh, you
know who you should date or go out with?
Speaker 4 (24:29):
Yeah, Audrey from the VIP saying names? Oh god, not
said that. Absolutely, No, it's his show and he didn't
censor me. So we love her and like.
Speaker 8 (24:41):
No, no, I love those girls. I love their spirit
and frankly you'll see it on the podcast. But they
did very well in the test. I mean they really did.
I mean they do.
Speaker 4 (24:50):
What happened? So?
Speaker 8 (24:51):
So, Nate, you want me to give you a couple
of these questions because you consider yourself a foodie?
Speaker 4 (24:56):
Yeah? Sure, okay, Wait hold on, what's the connection? Wait? Wait?
Speaker 3 (24:58):
Wait, what's the connection with him answering questions and dating
one of the VIP girls?
Speaker 8 (25:04):
All I was saying Elvis was Am I missing something? No,
I was trying to promote my podcast. But also I'll
give you one of the segments that we do on
the podcast. It's just not talk. We go into the
field and we do a bunch of things.
Speaker 4 (25:15):
I agree with l Lets let's go back to the
whole date that you brought it up. But you didn't
really fit. You got okay this because you really have
a payoff you have to meet.
Speaker 8 (25:23):
It's gonna it's gonna happen at some point. I'm gonna
come back to it. I didn't go, but you interrupted me. Okay, anyway, are.
Speaker 4 (25:34):
You ready for something? Ready? I'm ready? Bring it on?
All right?
Speaker 8 (25:37):
Describe Panshetta the restaurant. The restaurant, Is there a natta?
Speaker 4 (25:43):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (25:44):
Sure, No, it's got cheese on it r wrong, it
cured pork belly.
Speaker 4 (25:50):
It's kind of like Italian bacon. Yeah, oh that stuff.
Have you been?
Speaker 8 (25:54):
Have you been to the viral of French dip sandwich
plays soft hank chet.
Speaker 4 (25:58):
It's two blocks from my apartment? And yes or no?
Why you don't want to weait online? Of course not.
I don't wait in lines.
Speaker 8 (26:04):
I'm like Elvis, Have you had a French stip sandwich
I have, Okay, what is on a French dip sandwich?
What is the dip made of a jew? Which it's
it's it's bone broth, yes, bone, yes, beef broth. Okay,
I'm gonna I'm gonna give you. Is it usually like
(26:25):
half credit? Isn't it usually the liquid that they cooked
the meat in?
Speaker 4 (26:28):
Well?
Speaker 12 (26:29):
Yes, it is the yesty b is jew can say?
Speaker 8 (26:40):
Wait, here's one for Elvis because I know that he
likes to have a cocktail here and there. What are
the three ingredients in a A grony?
Speaker 9 (26:48):
Oh?
Speaker 4 (26:49):
God, that red stuff?
Speaker 3 (26:51):
Yes?
Speaker 4 (26:53):
Yes, No? What's the hugo spritz? I got that one.
Speaker 8 (26:59):
Hugo spreches elderflower okay, and and prosecco. So there's no
prosecco and the grony okay?
Speaker 4 (27:05):
What else is that? Jen and vermouth? I'm in Okay.
You know I don't make drinks. I drink them. That's right.
Speaker 8 (27:13):
Wait, I got one for Danielle. She's being very quiet. God,
he needs one to define.
Speaker 4 (27:19):
Wag you? Wag you.
Speaker 2 (27:21):
I think it's like a salt. It's like a Italian
like you know what.
Speaker 4 (27:27):
Wag beef?
Speaker 1 (27:28):
Is that the beef that's the very expensive beef that
none of us can afford.
Speaker 5 (27:33):
Right, Japanese cat, you go, I got it? They have credit,
all right, I got one for I got one for
hot sauce. Okay, where does the Calabrian chili originate from?
Speaker 3 (27:44):
Italy?
Speaker 2 (27:45):
Hello?
Speaker 4 (27:45):
Calabria? Correct question? She's my friend? Is that stupid? It's
like it's like asking God, God, where's Indian food from?
Typeeriad India? Yeah?
Speaker 8 (28:01):
So anyway, so this is this is sort of a
sample of like the kind of questions I asked the
influences because they should know that they if they're gonna
review restaurants, they should really have a sense of what's
on the menu in terms of terminology.
Speaker 4 (28:14):
Good you don't agree with that? I okay, absolutely.
Speaker 6 (28:18):
You know, Bobby, since you're taking over the show, our
friend coast the boy Josh made you your very own
production for the show.
Speaker 3 (28:24):
Really you want to hear it? Yes, I'd love to
hear it launch day for your production. Yes, here's that
for free.
Speaker 4 (28:39):
I love that.
Speaker 3 (28:41):
Down the hallway just devised that. You know who did
the original music from my podcast? I love yes, Friends
of Sophie. I know coach boy Josh is no z
z d d baby, I was supposed to go to Africa.
Speaker 2 (28:57):
With zh remember say, I'll tell.
Speaker 4 (29:00):
That story some other some more about that, dude, your show.
I am doing the show.
Speaker 2 (29:07):
I mean, are we.
Speaker 9 (29:08):
Ever going to have the full circle moment about the
VIP girls and Nate and one of them?
Speaker 4 (29:12):
I don't, I don't. I don't want to. I don't.
I don't want to. I don't want to embarrass him.
Speaker 8 (29:15):
By the way, we're live on Instagram and C one
hundred at one, New York.
Speaker 4 (29:20):
Why would he one hundred New York.
Speaker 3 (29:21):
Why would you open the door and then not tell
us what it is? I mean, that's rude.
Speaker 4 (29:25):
No, no, I just what.
Speaker 2 (29:26):
Did they say that was so bad about me?
Speaker 8 (29:28):
They didn't say anything bad about him. They just gave
me a look.
Speaker 4 (29:33):
That's even worse. So I just rather have them say something.
They give me a look.
Speaker 2 (29:36):
The look is not good.
Speaker 4 (29:37):
What was the look? Give me the look? Listen, I
feel like this. This has been going on for a while.
Did you ever ask her out? Never? Why?
Speaker 2 (29:45):
He doesn't even know who she was in here once
or twice?
Speaker 4 (29:48):
He knows exactly who she doesn't like?
Speaker 2 (29:49):
You don't talk to her.
Speaker 4 (29:50):
I don't really talk to her. No, I mean, should
I have asked her? Ount what are you looking at me?
The one that I don't know? She's really she's really
a nice.
Speaker 2 (29:58):
She's lovely, she's but not if you got the look.
Speaker 4 (30:01):
I was just look did she give the look? Did
she give stank face? She want like this? I don't know.
I think you should ask her. That's not a good look.
But I want to be there when you do the podcast.
Speaker 8 (30:19):
But you know what, these girls go out every single
night to a different restaurant.
Speaker 4 (30:22):
You should go hang out with them. At the very least.
I didn't want to take them out. I'll bring them out.
They like sugar daddies too. Come on, you got this?
You do have a daddy? Say well you have the look?
You got that big producer salary? Come on, how much
older is he makes more than I do? I guarantee,
I hope.
Speaker 2 (30:42):
So the important things Nate needs?
Speaker 4 (30:46):
You want to move into my apartment too? What's that? Gandhi?
Speaker 9 (30:50):
So one of the important things Nate wants going forward,
he doesn't want to be a sugar daddy. He wants
to be a sugar baby.
Speaker 4 (30:55):
Yeah, he wants an older woman for a rich old
broad That's what he says, a rich old give me,
give me, give me like what like what adra? Oh,
you got any leftovers for me?
Speaker 2 (31:05):
Weekly? He has plenty.
Speaker 3 (31:06):
Let's put it this way, when when a stell Getty
passed away, he was heartbroken.
Speaker 4 (31:11):
No, that was Betty White, Betty. Danielle keeps bringing up
this US US US Weekly article.
Speaker 2 (31:17):
Came out this year.
Speaker 4 (31:18):
This year.
Speaker 2 (31:19):
It came out in twenty twenty five.
Speaker 1 (31:21):
It's the timeline of your dating life and marriages.
Speaker 4 (31:25):
It's an encyclopedia.
Speaker 2 (31:26):
There's pictures and everything.
Speaker 4 (31:28):
Well, okay, it does.
Speaker 3 (31:29):
It does tell the story of how the road is
littered with the cadavers of your past.
Speaker 8 (31:34):
Well, and that's one of the things is that this
podcast is going to trigger a lot of like People
magazine articles.
Speaker 4 (31:39):
I can see, I can see that.
Speaker 10 (31:39):
Around love that though it No, Sophie, he loves it
right a little bit, a little bit.
Speaker 3 (31:45):
No, I think he'll think you like it. You know,
you're gonna starve Bobby, Bobby, Bobby. If they're not talking
about you, they're not talking about you.
Speaker 4 (31:54):
That's okay, I don't mind that.
Speaker 3 (31:57):
Should we plant a rumor that you and I are
gay lovers? No, definitely not see he's he wants to
my girlfriend? Would would be upset about that?
Speaker 4 (32:06):
Your beard?
Speaker 6 (32:08):
You got some texts coming in at fifty five?
Speaker 4 (32:11):
Yeah that one?
Speaker 8 (32:12):
Yeah sure, wait it says, wait, Bobby and Brook are
a thing. I'm crushed. There goes my shot.
Speaker 4 (32:17):
Ha ha.
Speaker 3 (32:18):
He wrote that, Danielle, do your dumb ass. This is
going down the slippery slope to hell.
Speaker 8 (32:27):
People actually listen to the show because they keep texting.
Are you shocked by the way if the rains are
plummeting as we speak?
Speaker 3 (32:36):
If you've ever want to talk to Bobby Flay text
him now you are directly connected to his I know screen.
Speaker 4 (32:42):
Uh, give me one. I can't read all this.
Speaker 6 (32:45):
Positive?
Speaker 5 (32:48):
Do you know that?
Speaker 1 (32:49):
Sometimes we do have to turn that off when guests
are here, really because and every now and then they're
not so positive.
Speaker 4 (32:54):
But you can handle the truth. Yeah, there's nothing good here. Hey,
Sophie Flay, are you proud of daddy now?
Speaker 2 (33:02):
Oh yeah, he's doing.
Speaker 4 (33:03):
A great job.
Speaker 2 (33:05):
It's as good as you.
Speaker 3 (33:06):
No, no, no, no chance, you know, but I have
to say, like, you know, we talk about like actually
Danielle said, like one of the things I said about
the podcast is it's a no hater zone positivity, and
I really get that from watching you. Honestly, Elvis, seriously,
you are such a positive influence on everything.
Speaker 4 (33:23):
And when we rag on each other it's out of life,
of course.
Speaker 8 (33:25):
It is, but like you always are looking for like
the good when people come here.
Speaker 4 (33:28):
I love it. I mean, it's it's really nice.
Speaker 2 (33:31):
He doesn't.
Speaker 1 (33:31):
The one good thing I also about him is he
won't tell you what if there is like gossip out there,
he will not be the one who try out.
Speaker 2 (33:39):
He will not bring it up.
Speaker 1 (33:40):
There was someone here the other day that there was
some stuff and we were like, we're not going to
touch that.
Speaker 4 (33:44):
Yeah, of course your it is different.
Speaker 2 (33:47):
You're different, You're different.
Speaker 9 (33:48):
Courtesy is not extended to you. There is one sexy text, Bobby.
Somebody said that they waited on you. They texted in
because they wanted to talk about it. They waited on
you because everyone else refused because they were scared, but
you were wonderful.
Speaker 3 (34:00):
Really yeah, interesting, they have refused. People are recoiling in
horror when you walk through the door.
Speaker 4 (34:08):
I'm not waiting on him.
Speaker 9 (34:10):
It will be scary though, Like as a chef and
somebody who's in the restaurant business to then be a
person taking care of you.
Speaker 4 (34:15):
I can see how they'll be scary. I mean, I
don't know about that.
Speaker 8 (34:18):
I mean, first of all, the restaurant business is the
most generous business in the world. I mean, everybody is
so giving. It's it's really one of the only businesses
where we treat our competitors with the red carpet.
Speaker 4 (34:32):
You know.
Speaker 8 (34:32):
It's just like, you know, I went to a restaurant
the other night and it was like, you know, the
chef cooked for me. It was amazing, delicious food. And
then at the end of the night he gave me
a check for a dollar nine.
Speaker 4 (34:47):
I mean it was crazy. Oh wow, it was. It
was nuts.
Speaker 8 (34:50):
I mean, just such a generous thing that doesn't happen
in any other business.
Speaker 4 (34:55):
Did you pay it? I paid? I left the dollar twenty.
Speaker 1 (34:59):
According to this article from Forbes dot com, you can
definitely afford to pay more than Oh god, this is
the highest paid TV host of twenty two. He comes
in at number three with how much thirty three million.
Speaker 4 (35:11):
That is ridiculous.
Speaker 2 (35:12):
Bobby Flay thirty three million.
Speaker 4 (35:14):
That's that's way lower than it really is.
Speaker 2 (35:16):
Definitely, this is Forbes.
Speaker 4 (35:18):
That's nuts. That Forbes doesn't lie.
Speaker 3 (35:20):
They're not they're not right incoming talk. Oh thank god,
we have another talk about to save your career. Here
we are push the just push the talk back.
Speaker 4 (35:28):
But okay, I'll love you. But also, what's a girl
got to do to get tickets to beat Bobby Flay.
I've been trying for like three years now and still
no luck. Help a girl out, I mean, it's easy
to get tickets to jingle Ball. I guess, I don't know.
Speaker 3 (35:45):
Really, just keeps calling. She's a fan and you're being
you're kind of here's.
Speaker 8 (35:50):
The problem, the the I don't like this relationship between
Sophie and Elvis. I'm sorry, it's Sophie, don't tell anything.
Speaker 7 (36:01):
We need a new segment in your in your podcast
called what where you interview fans who want the lottery
to come to your show and what the experience is
like for.
Speaker 2 (36:08):
That's how far they traveled, like, what this experience is like?
Is it what they thought it was? Because it's so
different in person.
Speaker 4 (36:15):
Sophie's saving me.
Speaker 2 (36:16):
She's on your payroll, she's.
Speaker 4 (36:19):
Living in that Housey's payrolls. I had to think about
that in dinner getting dinner.
Speaker 8 (36:27):
She's actually off the payroll, which is a nice thing. Okay,
what does that say?
Speaker 4 (36:33):
I have to wrap it up? Are you retired to me?
Speaker 11 (36:35):
Now?
Speaker 4 (36:36):
That's it.
Speaker 6 (36:36):
I don't know if you want.
Speaker 3 (36:37):
Them to stay, well, well I never want Bobby, but
he always leaves and never comes back for like three
week years.
Speaker 8 (36:42):
Bring food, I know my I have to say, I'm
surprised I didn't have to have the Thanksgiving off this week.
Speaker 4 (36:50):
Stuff off. Yes, no one wanted to cook.
Speaker 2 (36:52):
Nobody want to cook for you. That's really no one
wants to wait on you, and.
Speaker 4 (36:56):
No one wants waited.
Speaker 1 (36:58):
And everybody said no, we actually did say it's about
damn time he cooks for us.
Speaker 4 (37:02):
I agree, What do you want me to cook for you? Stuffing?
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (37:08):
I tell you what I'm gonna bring next time. Give
me a nice soccer and here's what I want you
to do. Because you do the podcast in your apartment, Well,
well is that is that a podcast?
Speaker 4 (37:24):
Is?
Speaker 3 (37:24):
There's lots of lots of segments in the street as well.
I mean, you know we're at restaurants, we're in we're
sort of out and about. But also the the chat
part is either in my restaurant or somewhere else doesn't matter.
Speaker 4 (37:38):
Well, but for in your apartments, then you have a stove.
Speaker 8 (37:40):
There, correct, I will cook for you. Okay, Also, will
you come on and be my co host?
Speaker 3 (37:45):
I would do anything to do that. Okay, every every
single episode and I and actually for every single co host, I.
Speaker 4 (37:51):
Cook a dish.
Speaker 2 (37:51):
Oh, there you go.
Speaker 4 (37:53):
What do you want? We'll talk about it.
Speaker 3 (37:55):
Checking parm I know you not at all, because I
get the best chicken part else palm elsewhere.
Speaker 4 (38:00):
Look what because you know me?
Speaker 3 (38:03):
I beg people to spank my bare butt with a
chicken pont daily. I want something different. Hold on, I
want to extend an invitation to you and Sophie and
her hot boyfriend. Okay, if they want. We're having our Trevski.
We're having our our holiday lunch where and.
Speaker 4 (38:21):
Uh can we say? Where is it? You want to say?
You can say what part of it? I can't say
it because I'm a part of.
Speaker 6 (38:29):
Restaurant.
Speaker 4 (38:30):
It's Mexican. Oh really, yeah? Where is it? It's that's
on yards. If I talk about it, I have to
legally say that I'm an investor. You're an investor?
Speaker 3 (38:39):
Oh, I mean legally I have to say that, Yes, okay,
but but I'm paying full price.
Speaker 4 (38:47):
I promise I want you to join us. If the
food is fantastic, I love to who's the chef? Oh?
They have so many Okay, do you want the dat?
Speaker 11 (38:56):
Now?
Speaker 6 (38:56):
You see the place is so sexy.
Speaker 4 (38:58):
