And when you go to the beach like no one
like you don't have to bring fireworks. Everyone brings fireworks.

Okay, I want to talk about this what you did,
but first before we get to it it, Eddie is
joining me this weekend. As you heard.
Speaker 1 (00:33):

But this weekend on Best Bits, if you check out
part two, I am recapping the last six months of
the Bobby Bone Show, like the biggest segments we've worn.
So the things you will hear on there. Toby Keith
interview before he unfortunately passed away. We had post malone
surprise at the Raging Idiots Million Dollars show. Lunchbox got
the cops called in on him, Eddie got hair, I

shared a dating in December presentation and some breaking news.
There was a dyslexia test that happened and Abby had
our guitar recital, so really big moments from the first
half of twenty twenty four that you can catch up
on if you've missed. You know, I hear a lot
of people say, how do I get caught up and
know everything? This is the best way.

Yeah, so go tock on one.

Yeah, the biggest things that have happened on our show.
All right, Eddie, tell me about what you did because currently, well,
this past week we've been on vacation. Yes, so what'd
you go do with that?
Speaker 1 (01:23):
Oh, we went to the beach. It's kind of what
we do every summer, like, it's just part of what
we do.
Speaker 2 (01:28):
We all love to your favorite place, Florida.
Speaker 1 (01:30):
Yes, Florida. I did well because Florida has the most
beautiful beaches other than Hawaii. Hawaii is like just immaculate.
Speaker 2 (01:35):
And you can't take the kids to Hawaiian No.
Speaker 1 (01:37):
I'm not gonna spend that much money. Well, first off,
you it's like an day of flying, you know, so
you waste a whole day of that. But we go
to Florida. It's awesome. But fourth of July on the
beach is very unique because if you go to the
right spot, like you can kind of find where the
area is where there's a public access, and then there
are just huge houses that are nearby, and those people

do not hesitate on spending thousands of dollars on fireworks.
So and I learned the hard way one time. So
my whole family we all went and we got this
little condo, and we went and I went to the
to buy fireworks, and I spent about one hundred and
fifty dollars on fireworks, which is a lot of money
to me, Like one hundred and fifty bucks. We're buying
like the real stuff.
Speaker 2 (02:22):
When you say the real stuff, do you mean the
things that go actually in the area time ID is
a little fountain?
Speaker 1 (02:26):
No, no, no, we're gonna compete with the fireworks display that
the city's putting on, Like we're doing boom mortars, but
explosions in the sky all that stuff. So I show
up and I start lighting my stuff, and right next
to me is this, like I'm talking twenty pallets, twenty
palletts morgan of heavy duty industrial sized fireworks, not the

kind you light with a little punk, but one that
you have a remote control for. And these people are
like doing real, real fireworks. So I look like it's idiots.
Speaker 2 (02:58):
You have so much money to drop.
Speaker 1 (03:00):
Yes, you're literally burning when you do that, you are
burning money. You're literally burning your money. And that I's something.
Speaker 2 (03:08):
I cannot do, not even a little bit though.
Speaker 1 (03:10):
Yeah a hundred bucks, and to me even one hundred
dollars is like, wow, I'm really going for it.
Speaker 2 (03:15):
It is true because there's no return on investment, no,
except the return on investment is memories.
Speaker 1 (03:21):
It's an experience, sure, but but at that point, if
you're blowing fireworks next to people like that, you might
as well put your little bag away and let them.
Speaker 2 (03:27):
Do it like a little fountains.
Speaker 1 (03:29):
Yes, I remember my in laws were just like, that's cute,
but we're going to watch them instead.
Speaker 2 (03:35):
But there is a fun aspect. Are the kids. You
have such range of kids, and at the point where
any of them like really want to light off fireworks
or do they want to watch?
Speaker 1 (03:44):
No, no, no, they all want to light fireworks.
Speaker 2 (03:46):
That's what lot.
Speaker 1 (03:46):
It's part of the whole process of going and lighting
it up, and they're running away as fast as you can. Yeah,
it's so cool.
Speaker 2 (03:51):
So you still have to do all that because that's
part of that experience.
Speaker 1 (03:53):
Yea, yeah, yah, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah, but but you
can do that with twenty dollars.
Speaker 2 (03:56):
Do they still have Roman candle fights? I thought that
was ever a good thing to do.
Speaker 1 (04:00):
But no, I think through the years people are like,
don't do that, smarter, You're gonna burn yourself.
Speaker 2 (04:07):
Oh yeah, I never said it was smart, like what
we idiots used to do.
Speaker 1 (04:11):
They have these cool ones though now where like they're
rockets when now they've had them for a while, But
they're rockets with like a little army guy on top. Yeah,
and you shoot it up and then he comes out
in the parachute down and then everyone goes and like
tries to find it or follow it. It's really cool.
Speaker 2 (04:25):
Okay, well what about see all of mine are just
honor things. Do they throw poppers at each other at
the little crackle pop thing?
Speaker 1 (04:32):
Oh yeah? And then even today, like I snapped in
my fingers, they never do that, not really, like maybe
because I play guitar. Oh your fingers you have my
fingers are like callous or whatever, But they think it's
the craziest thing that I do it I pop my fingers.
They're like, whoa, why do you do that?
Speaker 2 (04:49):
Dad?
Speaker 1 (04:49):
And they will not try it.
Speaker 2 (04:51):
Yeah, no, nobody wants to try that. It is when
you see the little spark on it happening, like why
would I do that finger?
Speaker 1 (04:57):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (04:57):
Okay, So beach time, do they enjoy relaxing at the
beach where they're like, let's go do activities.
Speaker 1 (05:02):
They don't relax on the beach. I relax on the beach.
Speaker 2 (05:05):
They let them run around.
Speaker 1 (05:06):
Oh yeah, like I think they'll break up in groups.
So we took spike ball. Yeah, the little spipeball game.
Speaker 2 (05:12):
Yeah, thing that they spike with your hands.
Speaker 1 (05:15):
They do spikeball tournaments like all day fun and that's
kind of fun. A few of them will do sand castles.
A few of them like to surf. A couple of
them like to actually surf.
Speaker 2 (05:25):
Is they're actually surfing in Florida. I know it's big
in California and Hawaii.
Speaker 1 (05:28):
When you are four foot tall, like you can surf.
Speaker 2 (05:32):
Any were the boogie boogie board?
Speaker 1 (05:35):
No, so it's actually surfing. And like what happened was
last year we went we stayed in Airbnb and they
had a big foam surfboard probably like I would say
maybe seven foot longs maybe a little tall than I was,
maybe eight okay. And and they are small. They're tiny,
like two of them, the ten year old and nine
year old. They're they're they're skinny and they're light. Yeah,

and so that is perfect for them. And one wave
can take them from like fifty yards off the beach
to all the way down to the to the shore
and so and so last year they started doing it
and like, oh they're hooked. They got hooked and they
love that. It's kind of a sight to see a
little nine year old surf and take the wave all

the way down to the beach. That like, everyone on
the beach is like, look how cool they are. They
start clapping at it. Oh my gosh. So they start
show they start showing off. So a couple of them
will surf. The older one likes to go fishing with me.
Speaker 2 (06:29):
He likes.
Speaker 1 (06:32):
We just go on the shore, on the on the beach.
We don't do it like peak time when everyone's there.
Usually wake up early in the morning, like five in
the morning. Right, it's so cool, Morgan to wake up
before everyone else. And you have to do it when
it's still dark, which is kind of weird going to
the beach, what's still dark. But as soon as that
sun cracks and like you only see a couple of
runners and maybe like a lady walking looking for seashells.
(06:54):
Max four people out there. Yeah, super relaxing, super relaxing,
and everyone's sleeping. And on fourth of July you can
mark your spot.
Speaker 2 (07:02):
Oh yeah, you get ready for the whole day.
Speaker 1 (07:04):
Oh, I take an umbrella, I stake my spot out
and like put a couple of towels out there, and
like I got prime spot all day.
Speaker 2 (07:11):
That's perfect.
Speaker 1 (07:11):
Yeah. Yeah, but fishing at Flive in the morning is
really cool.
Speaker 2 (07:14):
Now that the vacation is already over. By the time
they hear this, you'll likely be gone, Yes, from that place.
What city do you guys go to?
Speaker 1 (07:21):
I went to Destin?
Speaker 2 (07:22):
Okay, yeah, do you guys go over to like thirty
A Mira mar Beach or is it just straight in Dustin?
Speaker 1 (07:27):
It just depends, Like we'll do We've done them all,
we've done, like you know, Santa Rosa, we've done water
Color I think is one of them we've done, I
mean all of them, Dustin, San Dustin, Mira.
Speaker 2 (07:40):
Mar Beach guy. Oh yeah, beach guy.
Speaker 1 (07:42):
And that Emerald Coast is my favorite.
Speaker 2 (07:45):
Okay, that's what it's called coast the whole area. Huh,
did not know that? Yeah, any reason why?
Speaker 1 (07:50):
Because it's crystal clear. It's it's just the Emerald green though. Yeah,
that's what they call it. But I mean it is
the clearest water in America other than Hawaii. No, I know,
I take about. I think it's even clearer than Hawaii.
Speaker 2 (08:02):
I was gonna say it's pretty clear water is Cayman
Islands America though, because Cayman Islands it's very I'm not including.
Speaker 1 (08:07):
I'm not including the Caribbean because those like the states
I'm talking about, like the mainland. Got it?
Speaker 2 (08:13):
Well, I will have as of today. This day right
here is my sister's wedding. It is airing on.
Speaker 1 (08:23):
And is it like your your close.
Speaker 2 (08:24):
Sister, Yeah, like in our age. She's my best friend
of life. Yeah yeah, she's getting married. I'm her maid
of honor.
Speaker 1 (08:31):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (08:31):
So I have a big speech to do tonight.
Speaker 1 (08:33):
Ye okay, you got this really nervous. You know, when
Bobby got married, I did the best man's speech and
that was the first time ever I was another best man.
But I don't really have it. I don't remember having
a speech the first time.
Speaker 2 (08:43):
Did you write down. How did you go about this?
Because this is a whole process. Yeah, did you go
about it?
Speaker 1 (08:49):
This is kind of how I normally do it. I
do write something down, but I don't take it with me.
Oh the writing it down is just for me to
get the format you write down kind of like, all right,
what do I want to accomplishing this speech? Like what
do I want to talk about? Do I want to
talk about how hard it was for him to find love?
Speaker 2 (09:05):
Like?
Speaker 1 (09:05):
Or do I want to go with a theme? Do
I want to go with a theme on on?
Speaker 2 (09:09):
Like?
Speaker 1 (09:09):
Yeah, since he found love, anybody can find love, you know,
or like or the what you thought about his her
you know, his wife or in this case, her fiance,
what you thought about him, and like how how he
changed her you know, and you being her closest sister,
all that stuff. Write all that stuff down, like, and
then pick out what you want to focus on and

how you're going to get there and just write, just
write little bullepoints.
Speaker 2 (09:32):
That's so dicey though, not like having it in your hand.
I would forget everything.
Speaker 1 (09:36):
Because what I do in my head, though, Morgan is
I think of the transitions. Those are the most stressful parts.
I know what I'm going to talk about. Yeah, but
the stressful parts for me is like the transitions. How
mighty you get from this to this A to B
B two C C two D D D E and
then end on e? Right? Yeah, so that's what you
have to remember. As soon as you talk about whatever
(09:59):
the dog he bought her, like example, as soon as
you talk about the dog, you know that the next
line is going to be whatever.
Speaker 2 (10:06):
But okay, well, I want to do this. I want
you to read the speech that I have written, because
I have it on here, Okay, because I don't think
I'm as bold as you. I see what you're saying,
and I think there's.
Speaker 1 (10:18):
People that can do that because the eye contact is cool,
like and the kind of speaking to the room is
really cool and speaking to her.
Speaker 2 (10:25):
That's true, and I will. I've gotten at least good
enough that I've been enough in front of people that
I can hold something and still you know, be show presentation.
But I have written and it's longer. It's probably like
two three minutes. It's not like super but I just
don't know that I can remember all of it because
I also have jokes going in there and like roasts
that aren't embarrassing but like so funny. So I want

you to read it and take a quick break, and
I want you to share your thoughts. Don't say anything
about the speech.
Speaker 1 (10:51):
Because I'm not going to read it out loud out.
Speaker 2 (10:53):
You're just reading it for you, and I want to
I want to hear your thoughts.
Speaker 1 (10:56):
Okay, so we're hold on before I read it. Are
you drunk during this? Are you buzzed?
Speaker 2 (11:01):
I might have a buzz at this point, but I
don't want to be drunk.
Speaker 1 (11:04):
You're not falling over.
Speaker 2 (11:05):
No, I don't want to be because I got to
land these jokes and I'm not going to land them.
I'll laughing before I can even get to it, you
know what I mean. I can't give it away and hold.
Speaker 1 (11:14):
On before I read it to ye. What kind of
people are they?
Speaker 2 (11:17):
Like?
Speaker 1 (11:18):
What I know? Your sister? Yeah, but what kind of
like personality is her fiance?
Speaker 2 (11:22):
So I would I would say the best like overarching
way I can describe them is she's more a homebody,
very sweet, big hearted, introverted. He's more extroverted, likes to
be adventurous, funny kind of dad, has dad vibes sometimes,
you know what I mean? So they're kind of a
little bit different in that sense, but also big animal lovers.
(11:43):
So they have things clearly that they agree on. They're
getting married, but that's the difference.
Speaker 1 (11:47):
Got it.
Speaker 2 (11:48):

Speaker 1 (11:50):
No, I'm ready.

we're back, and Eddie just got done reading my speech.
What do you think?
Speaker 1 (12:00):
Well? I like it. I mean I like it. It's
definitely a good mix of humor and serious, which is
what you want in those in that kind of speech.
Speaker 2 (12:09):
Yeah, like you need to give tears, but also I
want you to cry through the laugh through those tears.
Speaker 1 (12:13):
Do you think you're gonna cry reading that?
Speaker 2 (12:16):
I did tear up starting it, especially at the very
end when I have a pretty big line that's really sweet.
Speaker 1 (12:22):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (12:23):
I think that part where I cry, and that's why
I saved it for the very end to be okay,
now I can plug the tears.
Speaker 1 (12:29):
Yeah, I just hope.
Speaker 2 (12:30):
I can make through it without crying, because I think
it'll be a good speech if I can.
Speaker 1 (12:33):
You know, it's okay, it's whatever happens happens. I don't
think a bit I did because I think it was
really the whole day because Bobby had a lot of
people like there, his stepdad was there, his old friend Scotti,
and one of his old old room at college roommates
was there, and like we had just spent all day
(12:54):
together and a bunch of our friends from Texas, And
I think it's pretty that we're all there, And that's
what's cool about a wedding, right, It's so rare that
everyone's there. And I think we all realized that while
we were there, was that like I can't believe. We
really all couldn't believe that Bobby was actually getting married.
Like I do you know anything about Bobby, which a
lot of us do, It was it looked like something

that that would never happen in his life.
Speaker 2 (13:19):
Yeah, very surreal.
Speaker 1 (13:20):
It was so hard for him to find love or
even know what love was. And the fact that like
he was getting married and he just got married and
like it was real. Yeah, it hits you. It hits you.
And for you from reading that and knowing that, like
you guys were so close, like you make it seem
like we met like hah, we met this you you
(13:41):
shared your life with this person. Yeah, like it's almost
like a mom losing her daughter to marriage or a
dad and losing her his daughter to marry you know
what I mean. Like it's a big thing, and like
you're like, oh my gosh, you're not just my best
friend anymore. Like now you have you're gonna have another
best friend.
Speaker 2 (13:59):
Yeah, your new built and best friend. I was yours.
Speaker 1 (14:02):
I was yeah for our whole life. So it is emotional.
And if you cry, man, you cry, Like who cares?
Speaker 2 (14:09):
I know, but I just want to you just all
the really subtle jokes and make sure I like land those. Yeah,
you know what I mean about.
Speaker 1 (14:15):
Don't cry, don't worry about it. Don't worry about it though,
Like what you wrote was great, and there's a lot
of like stuff between you two, and then even just
talking about him, like that's funny, Like the stuff you
talk about him, that's that's funny, and like that's it's
just it's really good. That's what you want to remember
that it's about that.
Speaker 2 (14:33):
Yeah, did it sound like it is about them? Or
do I need to pull backstep? Okay, because it's kind
of weird because you're talking about like your memories, so
it feels a little bit I ish. Yeah, but I
was trying really hard to be like put the focus
on them.
Speaker 1 (14:45):
That's kind of what I was thinking too when I
did my speech, was like, yeah, I'm going to tell
the jokes about our stories and our laughs and all that,
but now it's about them and not only about her, right,
not only about your sister, but about them.
Speaker 2 (14:58):
Yeah, and you have to acknowledge like that you can
because as like a maid of honor or the man
of honor, Like, you can't sit there and just talk
to the one person.
Speaker 1 (15:07):
Right, it's two of them. It's two of them. They're married.
Now you're doing this at the reception after they've met them.
They're married after their weddings. So like they're married. Now
you talk to them, and what's like your older.
Speaker 2 (15:17):
Sister, Yeah, she's older than me.
Speaker 1 (15:19):
Okay, so she's older. I'm gonna say. What was cool
about me is I had already been married for like
you those so I kind of had a little bit
of advice.
Speaker 2 (15:26):
You know, you don't have to remember that you did
give advice. Ye, No, I don't.
Speaker 1 (15:30):
You don't have that part yet, I don't.
Speaker 2 (15:33):
I did tell her, See.
Speaker 1 (15:34):
That'd be a funny joke too, just like as your
little sister This is the advice I give you.
Speaker 2 (15:38):
You know, I didn't make a comment because they hadn't
met on bumble, And I don't know if you saw
that that little likes you know, yeah, the meaning on bumble.
So yeah, it's it's in there that I own that.
Speaker 1 (15:50):
But I like the very very end too that last time. Yeah,
don't don't forget that line though, because it's so it's
so down there and your end is so solid. Yeah,
that like that Princy line. Don't forget it.
Speaker 2 (16:03):
Oh wait, hold on, are you talking about? I had
a very one in the part. The line is how
I may either start it. I have two possible suns.
That's why it's down at bottom, because I can't decide
how I should start it.
Speaker 1 (16:15):
I like the line, That's what I'm saying, like, don't
lose it, but if you do it at the end,
if you do it at the end, you might lose it.
Speaker 2 (16:21):
So the one I have, and I'm just gonna tell Taylor, well,
at this point we're gonna be wedding. She won't even
hear this. The two lines I have to start it.
One of them is some of them. Some of you
may not know me because my sister didn't let me
hang out.
Speaker 1 (16:33):
I like that one because you.
Speaker 2 (16:35):
Know there's always a thing where siblings don't let them
hang out.
Speaker 1 (16:37):
Yeah yeah, becau they're embarrassed to the.
Speaker 2 (16:39):
Other one is for those who know me, you're welcome.
For those who don't, condolences.
Speaker 1 (16:43):
Go with that one. Go with that one because I
like it, and you put it at the end, and
I didn't know if that was like at the very
very end.

I know, the very in line is a really sweet
that's the cheersing toy.
Speaker 1 (16:53):
That's what I'm saying. Once you say that it's over, Yeah,
so I would. Oh man, that's tough.
Speaker 2 (16:57):
Those are both really good opening line. But one of
them is more about me and one of them is
more about her. And that's why I was leaning toward
the one that's about her and kind of roasting her
a little bit, but not really.
Speaker 1 (17:07):
The second ones about her.
Speaker 2 (17:09):
My sister didn't let me hang out with you.
Speaker 1 (17:11):
We'll do that one then, because you know what I
feel like I've heard. The condolence is one I think
I have to write, like I feel like that's a
common thing.
Speaker 2 (17:18):
That it does relate to more people in the room,
because maybe not everybody's a sibling, but I think any
sibling hears that. Yeah, that's true. So I'm between those
two though. But that's why I still have it on
here as a possibility.
Speaker 1 (17:30):
Right, So are you going to print that out and
take it up with you?
Speaker 2 (17:32):
Yeah, I'm gonna put it on little note cards though,
so it's not just a big she not know where
you are.
Speaker 1 (17:37):
I do like how you broke it up to again,
that's those are the points I'm talking about, So memorize.
So just memorize the end of those lines. Yeah, and
memorize the beginning so you know the transitions. Once you
got the transitions, you're it's easy, breezy, perfected.
Speaker 2 (17:50):
Eddie's helping me out.
Speaker 1 (17:51):
Okay, got it.
Speaker 2 (17:52):
We're going to take a quick break and when we
come back, we're gonna going to update about dad life. Yeah,
I'm gonna let Eddie possibly ask me some question about
everyone I trust. So we'll see though, but definitely dad

I want to know how dad life is going. Give
me a little like you can talk about dad life,
but I also want a little synopsis on each Eddie Junior.

Okay, going on with each of them. Okay, I mean
we've talked a little bit about driving, Yeah, with your oldest.
So the oldest is like he's so drive mode right now,
like everything is drive, drive, drive, and and uh my
wife just told me that I think his test is
scheduled for like exactly one month, so it's real close.
(18:48):
So we have like thirty.
Speaker 2 (18:49):
Days freaking out now.
Speaker 1 (18:50):
Well, yeah, because I mean I trust I'm telling you
I trust him driving. I'm just worried about a test.
Speaker 2 (18:56):
Is he not a good test taker? Because testing is hard, not.
Speaker 1 (18:59):
Just that it's it's just that, like I don't think
he's he's so careful that I don't think he'd get
into a wreck. He's good at kind of seeing cars
and reacting the right way and everything, but he doesn't
like just do things the way he's supposed to. Like
a stop is very jarring to him, like you know, yes,
he's not smoothing the brake pedal. It's like, oh dude,
(19:19):
come on, man.
Speaker 2 (19:20):
Like like it's so extra careful. It's maybe too much.
Speaker 1 (19:23):
Yes, And even like pulling up to the stop, it's
like a very slow up.
Speaker 2 (19:28):
To the white You would like if I was in
a car next to y'all, I would assume it's probably
like a seven year old man correct, but it's really
not correct.
Speaker 1 (19:35):
And people honk at him because they're like, hurry up,
you know.
Speaker 2 (19:38):
And it's like he's not going with the flow.
Speaker 1 (19:40):
No he's not. And he's being careful, but he's not
moving at at the rate of the rest of the trap. Okay,
so that that worries me a little bit. But anyway,
he's he's awesome. He had a summer job, so he
made some cash. Oh was he was just at a camp.
He was like a camp, like a camp counselor yeah, yeah,
like little kids. I think he was like all elementary

school kids age or whatever. And him and a couple
of his buddies work together.
Speaker 2 (20:06):
So dang, they had a high school musical moment.
Speaker 1 (20:08):
Oh totally had a Really is that what that movie
is about?
Speaker 2 (20:10):
Well, high school musical. Two. They all go for summer
I believe it's two, or it might be three, but
they all go to a summer basically work at a
subber camp toge.
Speaker 1 (20:19):
I didn't know that. Yeah, that's cool. Yeah, so somehow
he talked to his buddies into doing the same job,
and that's what they've been doing.
Speaker 2 (20:25):
Did he find a girlfriend at summer camp?

is that Bobby gave them all a bunch of cards,

a lot of money on sports cards, like a lot
of money, and sometimes they come back and they're not
as valuable as he thought he that they were. So

he's gotten a lot that he thinks that he can
sell and make money for from and he like puts
those on eBay or whatever. But whatever's not like up
to par. He's just like, here, give them the boys.
Give them the boys. And so we made a deal.
I haven't talked about this on air, but he made
a deal with them that if they sold all the cards,
they get to keep the money, but they got to

all they I mean do they're working every day. Every
day they get these they take pictures. I have to

Well, because I let them take the pictures at first,
and they were all crooked or the reflection would have
them and they're they're like you see their faces in
the reflection of the car, Like, dude, you've got to

pictures for them, but they get all the information, they
type it up, they post it, and then they submit
it and then whenever there's a bid or whatever, I

kind of tell them like, hey, you got bids or
there's an offer, like they're offering fifteen dollars for this one?
Should we take it? You wanted the initial bid that
you put on there was thirty, Like would you want
to take fifteen? And they'll like talk about it amongst
themselves and be like oh yeah, yeah, yeah, okay, okay,
let's do it.

Okay, and they'll take you help them ship it out.

No, no, no, no, no, Like I got we ordered Amazon packages
from Amazon and it costs ten dollars for like a
pack of fifty and so that came out of their
their income, part of their business, yeah, part of their
part of their costs or whatever. So it's very simple,
like they've got a little label maker and they print
it out, put it in there, put the card in

the packet, seal it, and then if we're driving somewhere,
we drop it off the post office and done.

but it is it's cool to see them kind of

So they're learning that stuff early?

Yes? Yes. And at first my ten year old was
like getting frustrated because he was doing all the work.
He's the one that's like very meticulous and very he's
a perfectionist, and so to him, he's just like, hey,
the other one's not doing anything, Like how am I
going to give him fifty percent of this if he's
not doing anything? And then finally I was like, well,
you've got to talk to him about it, and you

got to make a business partner, right, that's your business partner.
And so now he is the packager. Now now the
little one is the packager. And now he even did
a couple of posts himself, so he's kind of in it.

Businessman, they had a little business meeting, and I think
they're a ok now, okay, that's exciting. So that's really cool,
little money maker.

Okay, that's what they're both doing. And then they're both in.

Basketball, still still going hard.

Oh summer. I think I think they both realized that
basketball is their sport. Although my ten year old he's
in football camp. So he's about to start playing football
with the middle school. Yeah, yeah, so's fifth he's in
fifth grade, and then he'll be playing with the middle
school team just to kind of like, I don't know
if he'll start, but he'll be on the team. Yeah,
but that's kind of what they do at that's at

the school for like fifth graders, just to kind of
get him in football, get their feet wet in football.

Yeah, is this his first time playing football?

Did he play for school? He played like little Pop
Warner last year, got it, loved it. And he played
defensive end, which is he's like the cornerback, so like
there's the receiver runs fast. He's a fast runner. Yeah,
and he's not that big, but he can hit and
he loves to hit.

So defensive So running back is that kind of similar
position on offense?

No? No, no, so so what.

The well defensive I just mean more they protect the
running back or they go after the running back.

Is that not right, not really. So, like if you
look at the football team, like you have the receivers, right, yeah,
the wide receivers, they're on the outside. Yeah, they're the
ones that catch the ball.

So the defense, the defensive backs are the guys that
are lined up against them trying to stop them.

From catching one of the It's confusing, but the wide
receiver and running back are all the ones that are
helping make those plays, right. Running back is the one
that's just taking the ball and.

Running running back to the guy behind the quarterback.

So my son plays defense and I think he eventually
wants to play like wide receiver. So I don't know,
we'll see. What's really cool about like just starting football
is that the coaches kind of swatch you and they
kind of see like, all right, like what are you
kind of like you know what, I'm gonna try you
at running back, I'm gonna try you at defensive end.
I'm gonna try you at a cornerback. And so he's

excited to see what the coaches are going to like
think he can he can?

He can fall in love with one position that I
never even thought possible totally.

And what happens at this age is that, like so
before like ten, everyone plays football like in the backyard, right,
and they're like, I'm a receiver, I'm a running back,
I'm the quarterback, like all this stuff. But what happens
is like, well, football, like there are more positions. You
have offensive line, you have the defensive line, you have linebackers,
you have like all this stuff that you never play
with with your play as with your friends.

No, not at all.

So so then you have like this six foot kid
who a six foot tenth ten year old, and they're like,
you're not going to be our quarterback. You are going
to be our offensive line, and you're not gonna let
anyone touch our quarterback. And it's they're so like heartbroken
because they're like I wanted to be the quarterback. But
it's like, dude, you're learning a whole new game.

Is it not like you know how like everybody kind
of has those dreams growing up, isn't quarterback Like if
you're like I'm gonna play in the NFL, quarterback is
just the automatic.

Yes, I'm going to be a quarterback. That's what you
want to be. That's what everybody wants to everybody wants
to be Tom Brady.

The most commonly know yes, and the most famous players
often come from that that majority of people. Yes.

But there's a whole position where all you do you
never touch the ball, and all you do is just
protect the quarterback and make sure nobody touches him, you
know so. And they've never played that before in their life.
They never they don't know what that is. So they've
got to start from scratch. And the bad thing is
they're just big, like that's the only reason they're in
that position. They probably there probably are good enough to
be a quarterback. They probably could throw the ball one

hundred miles. But at that age, the coach is just like,
I need a big guy, and you're him, and now
you've got to learn how to do this random, random position.
That's so exciting because like my son never thought he
would be a defensive back, but like the coach immediate
was like, no, no, no, I want you. You have good hands
and you're like a decent receiver, but you like to hit,

and there are some receivers that don't like to hit,
so and.

I feel like you have to be one the line.

Yeah, because you're the one to tackling. Yeah, you're the
last line of defense when like somebody's got the ball

Five? And so like he'll walk around and be like, hey,

Yeah, and it's like and he's laughing while he's doing it,
And so teachers love him because he's so cute, but
at the same time they're like, oh my gosh, we
have to like just we have to discipline him because

so cute and he smiles ever, and he has a
lot like a great sense of humor, like a sense
of humor that is next level, like the sense of

here that makes me laugh. I'm like, where'd you even

And like he's a special person and once he gets
rid of this whole like bad boy thing, like he's
gonna be somebody special in this world. Like he is

And he's also really big like for his I mean

with him the other day. We were at a little
trampoline jumping place, yeah, and he got uh so I
turned around in time to see him get pushed like
pushed over and he fell over like whoa. And I

was like, oh my gosh, what's happening over there? And
I get over there and he was about to get
up and like just start going at this other kid,
and I'm like see, I grabbed him like no, no, no,
no, no no no no no, like you're coming back with me.
And he wasn't crying every thing. He was kind of
laughing again, like still thinks it's kind of funny. But
it was a nine year old. He's fighting with a
nine year old again, slapped him in the butt at
a trampoline place and called them like you go out

your garbage. You're trash, you're trash because they were playing
a basketball game.

He's probaly going to get in a fight.

I'm telling you he's no. But but here's the thing,
Like he's tough, like he makes me that's why he's
going to get He makes our nine year old and
ten year old like cry like sometimes when he fights them,
so like, yes, he's going to get into fights, but
he's going to beat the crap out of people. And
it's like, and that's part of it too. We're like, dude,
you cannot you will hurt, you will hurt If he
fights a kid his own age, he will hurt him

because he is that like big.

That's tough, I know, because you're really trying to highlight
the good parts. But be like, buddy, no, we don't.

lot of progress to where he's gone. He was one

money into it. We're really trying our best to like

It is also going to be a tough thing, especially

But it is probably good that if somebody did kind

just great. He's got a big heart. He's so sweet

Oh yeah, he does it all the time. He has

well did he do it? And all his brother's like
he did it, Dad, Like we all saw him do it,

But they're all doing they're all doing really really well.

wife and I. It's day to day, you know, it's

I will say that there are and I've talked about this,
where there are just like weeks or like months where
it's just like full throttle, but it's it's summertime like

and this. These are the moments where you realize, like, man,
our school year weeks are crazy because like our our
weeks aren't as crazy now, even though they do have
camps and they have like you know, basketball games or whatever.
Whenever they don't have that, you stop and think, like, man,
like it's kind of boring, like what are we gonna
do today? Yeah, you know, Usually we wake up and

it's like, well, we gotta go, we gotta take them
and do this and that. But like when we don't
have it, you kind of miss it a little bit.
And I've heard a lot of people tell me too that, oh,
you know, you're gonna miss this, You're gonna miss these
years of like what I I don't know, That's what
I'm telling you, Like, I don't think I am, but
there are weeks where we don't do it and I'm
like kind of miss it a little bit.

Yeah, Well, it's probably mixed emotions. You probably absolutely will. Yeah,
and you'll probably also be like, I'm really glad we're
out of that. Yeah.

I mean I feel like that's mixed emotions at least
from like somebody who doesn't have kids perspective. I just
feel like that's what comes with parenthood, right, You got

the hardest things you'll ever do. Oh man, are you
ready ready for kids? Yeah? No, but I think you are.

But say tomorrow I found out could I manage and

Because you have that nurture, you know, caretaking I do.

I've always been a caretaker so that and I've i mean,
I've kept multiple animals alive and they're like my little children.
I'm on that path. Am I ready and have any

a lot of questions about it, like especially as being

really nervous about how I'm gonna feel about my body

and all these changes that are happening, and then also
my whole life feels like it's going to be over,
but also a whole new life is starting. There's just
so many like mixed and I think because I grew
up around social media and I grew up so well
aware of everything that was happening around me, I have
more questions than like the average person because I just

I have so many different feelings, really happy feelings, but
also really terrified. Also should I do this? Doing I wanted?
There's just multiple questions surrounding it. So like you asked
me right now? No, but is there a time in
my life where I want to Yes, I think I
have finally at least answered that question. I just don't
know if, when, how, But all the other.

red flags for the friends yet, that's nothing there can't be.

Yeah, that was something that got brought up pretty early.

you go with this. And most of the time he
doesn't even know. He's not listening.

is that he's really adjusting to is like my public life,

because like right now, nobody knows who he is. So

bit if I ever do post a picture of him
and he's a little bit more known, like maybe let's

for now, yeah, he's okay with it.

Okay, so big, big gym guy. He loves basketball, He
likes work out, likes to work out, He plays basketball
ill of his friends and watching just a big basketball
fan in general. NBA.

Do you watch did you watch the whole playoffs with him?

I didn't watch all the players, but I did watch games.
I have more basketball on my TV than I've around
in my life. I was a good Kay, this is
this is new for me. I've you over there playing
my game. He's like, you don't want to watch a note,
but you can. I'm right here. I did learn some stuff.
He's big into, Like we're both kind of adventure people,
so we like going and doing stuff. Big Foodie loves
going to try new restaurants, likes like good food.

Yeah, yeah, perfect, big foodie. So we do a lot
of that. Also really chill. He likes to watch movies
and a little bit more introverted than I am, so
like he kind of makes me relax a little bit
more and I kind of pull him out a little
bit more. So it's a good balance and big in
he likes puzzles. That's fun. He's also very creative, like
he paints.

Things really yeahs an artist.

Yeah he So. One of our dates we had recently
gone on, we went and did pottery together and he's
actually really good. His his mug that he paint didn't
turn out the way well. He used stamps that they
had there, and the stamp student turned out. He's like,
I should have just drawn it. I would be better.
So it like was deceitful in that, but he's just
the way he thinks or whatever. It was cute, like

the the so I had I had created I painted.
This place is really cool where you should take the kids.
It's called brush Fire Pottery and they have all these
different options of things for you to paint and then
they put it in the they'll like a week later,
they'll you'll get it back.

And I had chosen a boot, like a cowboy boots
as a vase to put. Yeah, he saw this post
and then the mug he created, and it was like,
this is the whole thought process, Like, how did you
even I literally was just copying off with the boot
that I saw that was on the shelf, and he
was like, had this whole random idea, So very creative.
But yeah, that's that's a lot of his hobbies.

your you know, you being a vegan.

Vegetarianeering Yeah, well he doesn't mind. His mom is also
veget His mom is vegan, so that also helps. And
like a lot of things, and he's not a huge
like he'll eat meat and stuff when we go out
to restaurants, but like at home, he really only eats
like chicken and salmon. So he's not a huge meat

eater at home, so when I make vegetarian recipes, he's like, oh,
this is great. He's willing to try everything. He's gonna
have a little garbage can and he'll eat whatever. He
may not love it, but he'll still eat it. So
that helps.

There was a dyslexia test that happened and Abby had
our guitar recital, so really big moments from the first
half of twenty twenty four that you can catch up
on if you've missed. You know, I hear a lot
of people say, how do I get caught up and
know everything? This is the best way.

Yeah, the biggest things that have happened on our show.
All right, Eddie, tell me about what you did because currently, well,
this past week we've been on vacation. Yes, so what'd
you go do with that?
Speaker 1 (01:23):
Oh, we went to the beach. It's kind of what
we do every summer, like, it's just part of what
we do.
Speaker 2 (01:28):
We all love to your favorite place, Florida.
Speaker 1 (01:30):
Yes, Florida. I did well because Florida has the most
beautiful beaches other than Hawaii. Hawaii is like just immaculate.
Speaker 2 (01:35):
And you can't take the kids to Hawaiian No.
Speaker 1 (01:37):
I'm not gonna spend that much money. Well, first off,
you it's like an day of flying, you know, so
you waste a whole day of that. But we go
to Florida. It's awesome. But fourth of July on the
beach is very unique because if you go to the
right spot, like you can kind of find where the
area is where there's a public access, and then there
are just huge houses that are nearby, and those people
(02:01):
do not hesitate on spending thousands of dollars on fireworks.
So and I learned the hard way one time. So
my whole family we all went and we got this
little condo, and we went and I went to the
to buy fireworks, and I spent about one hundred and
fifty dollars on fireworks, which is a lot of money
to me, Like one hundred and fifty bucks. We're buying
like the real stuff.
Speaker 2 (02:22):
When you say the real stuff, do you mean the
things that go actually in the area time ID is
a little fountain?
Speaker 1 (02:26):
No, no, no, we're gonna compete with the fireworks display that
the city's putting on, Like we're doing boom mortars, but
explosions in the sky all that stuff. So I show
up and I start lighting my stuff, and right next
to me is this, like I'm talking twenty pallets, twenty
palletts morgan of heavy duty industrial sized fireworks, not the

kind you light with a little punk, but one that
you have a remote control for. And these people are
like doing real, real fireworks. So I look like it's idiots.
Speaker 2 (02:58):
You have so much money to drop.
Speaker 1 (03:00):
Yes, you're literally burning when you do that, you are
burning money. You're literally burning your money. And that I's something.
Speaker 2 (03:08):
I cannot do, not even a little bit though.
Speaker 1 (03:10):
Yeah a hundred bucks, and to me even one hundred
dollars is like, wow, I'm really going for it.
Speaker 2 (03:15):
It is true because there's no return on investment, no,
except the return on investment is memories.
Speaker 1 (03:21):
It's an experience, sure, but but at that point, if
you're blowing fireworks next to people like that, you might
as well put your little bag away and let them.
Speaker 2 (03:27):
Do it like a little fountains.
Speaker 1 (03:29):
Yes, I remember my in laws were just like, that's cute,
but we're going to watch them instead.
Speaker 2 (03:35):
But there is a fun aspect. Are the kids. You
have such range of kids, and at the point where
any of them like really want to light off fireworks
or do they want to watch?
Speaker 1 (03:44):
No, no, no, they all want to light fireworks.
Speaker 2 (03:46):
That's what lot.
Speaker 1 (03:46):
It's part of the whole process of going and lighting
it up, and they're running away as fast as you can. Yeah,
it's so cool.
Speaker 2 (03:51):
So you still have to do all that because that's
part of that experience.
Speaker 1 (03:53):
Yea, yeah, yah, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah, but but you
can do that with twenty dollars.
Speaker 2 (03:56):
Do they still have Roman candle fights? I thought that
was ever a good thing to do.
Speaker 1 (04:00):
But no, I think through the years people are like,
don't do that, smarter, You're gonna burn yourself.
Speaker 2 (04:07):
Oh yeah, I never said it was smart, like what
we idiots used to do.
Speaker 1 (04:11):
They have these cool ones though now where like they're
rockets when now they've had them for a while, But
they're rockets with like a little army guy on top. Yeah,
and you shoot it up and then he comes out
in the parachute down and then everyone goes and like
tries to find it or follow it. It's really cool.
Speaker 2 (04:25):
Okay, well what about see all of mine are just
honor things. Do they throw poppers at each other at
the little crackle pop thing?
Speaker 1 (04:32):
Oh yeah? And then even today, like I snapped in
my fingers, they never do that, not really, like maybe
because I play guitar. Oh your fingers you have my
fingers are like callous or whatever, But they think it's
the craziest thing that I do it I pop my fingers.
They're like, whoa, why do you do that?
Speaker 2 (04:49):
Dad?
Speaker 1 (04:49):
And they will not try it.
Speaker 2 (04:51):
Yeah, no, nobody wants to try that. It is when
you see the little spark on it happening, like why
would I do that finger?
Speaker 1 (04:57):
Yeah?

Okay, So beach time, do they enjoy relaxing at the
beach where they're like, let's go do activities.
Speaker 1 (05:02):
They don't relax on the beach. I relax on the beach.
Speaker 2 (05:05):
They let them run around.
Speaker 1 (05:06):
Oh yeah, like I think they'll break up in groups.
So we took spike ball. Yeah, the little spipeball game.
Speaker 2 (05:12):
Yeah, thing that they spike with your hands.
Speaker 1 (05:15):
They do spikeball tournaments like all day fun and that's
kind of fun. A few of them will do sand castles.
A few of them like to surf. A couple of
them like to actually surf.
Speaker 2 (05:25):
Is they're actually surfing in Florida. I know it's big
in California and Hawaii.
Speaker 1 (05:28):
When you are four foot tall, like you can surf.
Speaker 2 (05:32):
Any were the boogie boogie board?
Speaker 1 (05:35):
No, so it's actually surfing. And like what happened was
last year we went we stayed in Airbnb and they
had a big foam surfboard probably like I would say
maybe seven foot longs maybe a little tall than I was,
maybe eight okay. And and they are small. They're tiny,
like two of them, the ten year old and nine
year old. They're they're they're skinny and they're light. Yeah,
(05:55):
and so that is perfect for them. And one wave
can take them from like fifty yards off the beach
to all the way down to the to the shore
and so and so last year they started doing it
and like, oh they're hooked. They got hooked and they
love that. It's kind of a sight to see a
little nine year old surf and take the wave all
(06:17):
the way down to the beach. That like, everyone on
the beach is like, look how cool they are. They
start clapping at it. Oh my gosh. So they start
show they start showing off. So a couple of them
will surf. The older one likes to go fishing with me.
Speaker 2 (06:29):
He likes.
Speaker 1 (06:32):
We just go on the shore, on the on the beach.
We don't do it like peak time when everyone's there.
Usually wake up early in the morning, like five in
the morning. Right, it's so cool, Morgan to wake up
before everyone else. And you have to do it when
it's still dark, which is kind of weird going to
the beach, what's still dark. But as soon as that
sun cracks and like you only see a couple of
runners and maybe like a lady walking looking for seashells.
(06:54):
Max four people out there. Yeah, super relaxing, super relaxing,
and everyone's sleeping. And on fourth of July you can
mark your spot.
Speaker 2 (07:02):
Oh yeah, you get ready for the whole day.
Speaker 1 (07:04):
Oh, I take an umbrella, I stake my spot out
and like put a couple of towels out there, and
like I got prime spot all day.
Speaker 2 (07:11):
That's perfect.

Yeah. Yeah, but fishing at Flive in the morning is
really cool.
Speaker 2 (07:14):
Now that the vacation is already over. By the time
they hear this, you'll likely be gone, Yes, from that place.
What city do you guys go to?
Speaker 1 (07:21):
I went to Destin?
Speaker 2 (07:22):
Okay, yeah, do you guys go over to like thirty
A Mira mar Beach or is it just straight in Dustin?
Speaker 1 (07:27):
It just depends, Like we'll do We've done them all,
we've done, like you know, Santa Rosa, we've done water
Color I think is one of them we've done, I
mean all of them, Dustin, San Dustin, Mira.
Speaker 2 (07:40):
Mar Beach guy. Oh yeah, beach guy.
Speaker 1 (07:42):
And that Emerald Coast is my favorite.
Speaker 2 (07:45):
Okay, that's what it's called coast the whole area. Huh,
did not know that? Yeah, any reason why?
Speaker 1 (07:50):
Because it's crystal clear. It's it's just the Emerald green though. Yeah,
that's what they call it. But I mean it is
the clearest water in America other than Hawaii. No, I know,
I take about. I think it's even clearer than Hawaii.
Speaker 2 (08:02):
I was gonna say it's pretty clear water is Cayman
Islands America though, because Cayman Islands it's very I'm not including.
Speaker 1 (08:07):
I'm not including the Caribbean because those like the states
I'm talking about, like the mainland. Got it?
Speaker 2 (08:13):
Well, I will have as of today. This day right
here is my sister's wedding. It is airing on.
Speaker 1 (08:23):
And is it like your your close.

Sister, Yeah, like in our age. She's my best friend
of life. Yeah yeah, she's getting married. I'm her maid
of honor.
Speaker 1 (08:31):
Wow.

So I have a big speech to do tonight.

Ye okay, you got this really nervous. You know, when
Bobby got married, I did the best man's speech and
that was the first time ever I was another best man.
But I don't really have it. I don't remember having
a speech the first time.

Did you write down. How did you go about this?
Because this is a whole process. Yeah, did you go
about it?
Speaker 1 (08:49):
This is kind of how I normally do it. I
do write something down, but I don't take it with me.
Oh the writing it down is just for me to
get the format you write down kind of like, all right,
what do I want to accomplishing this speech? Like what
do I want to talk about? Do I want to
talk about how hard it was for him to find love?
Speaker 2 (09:05):
Like?
Speaker 1 (09:05):
Or do I want to go with a theme? Do
I want to go with a theme on on?
Speaker 2 (09:09):
Like?
Speaker 1 (09:09):
Yeah, since he found love, anybody can find love, you know,
or like or the what you thought about his her
you know, his wife or in this case, her fiance,
what you thought about him, and like how how he
changed her you know, and you being her closest sister,
all that stuff. Write all that stuff down, like, and
then pick out what you want to focus on and
(09:30):
how you're going to get there and just write, just
write little bullepoints.
Speaker 2 (09:32):
That's so dicey though, not like having it in your hand.
I would forget everything.
Speaker 1 (09:36):
Because what I do in my head, though, Morgan is
I think of the transitions. Those are the most stressful parts.
I know what I'm going to talk about. Yeah, but
the stressful parts for me is like the transitions. How
mighty you get from this to this A to B
B two C C two D D D E and
then end on e? Right? Yeah, so that's what you
have to remember. As soon as you talk about whatever
(09:59):
the dog he bought her, like example, as soon as
you talk about the dog, you know that the next
line is going to be whatever.
Speaker 2 (10:06):
But okay, well, I want to do this. I want
you to read the speech that I have written, because
I have it on here, Okay, because I don't think
I'm as bold as you. I see what you're saying,
and I think there's.
Speaker 1 (10:18):
People that can do that because the eye contact is cool,
like and the kind of speaking to the room is
really cool and speaking to her.
Speaker 2 (10:25):
That's true, and I will. I've gotten at least good
enough that I've been enough in front of people that
I can hold something and still you know, be show presentation.
But I have written and it's longer. It's probably like
two three minutes. It's not like super but I just
don't know that I can remember all of it because
I also have jokes going in there and like roasts
that aren't embarrassing but like so funny. So I want

you to read it and take a quick break, and
I want you to share your thoughts. Don't say anything
about the speech.
Speaker 1 (10:51):
Because I'm not going to read it out loud out.
Speaker 2 (10:53):
You're just reading it for you, and I want to
I want to hear your thoughts.

Okay, so we're hold on before I read it. Are
you drunk during this? Are you buzzed?
Speaker 2 (11:01):
I might have a buzz at this point, but I
don't want to be drunk.
Speaker 1 (11:04):
You're not falling over.
Speaker 2 (11:05):
No, I don't want to be because I got to
land these jokes and I'm not going to land them.
I'll laughing before I can even get to it, you
know what I mean. I can't give it away and hold.
Speaker 1 (11:14):
On before I read it to ye. What kind of
people are they?
Speaker 2 (11:17):
Like?
Speaker 1 (11:18):
What I know? Your sister? Yeah, but what kind of
like personality is her fiance?
Speaker 2 (11:22):
So I would I would say the best like overarching
way I can describe them is she's more a homebody,
very sweet, big hearted, introverted. He's more extroverted, likes to
be adventurous, funny kind of dad, has dad vibes sometimes,
you know what I mean? So they're kind of a
little bit different in that sense, but also big animal lovers.

So they have things clearly that they agree on. They're
getting married, but that's the difference.
Speaker 1 (11:47):
Got it.
Speaker 2 (11:48):

Well? I like it. I mean I like it. It's
definitely a good mix of humor and serious, which is
what you want in those in that kind of speech.
Speaker 2 (12:09):
Yeah, like you need to give tears, but also I
want you to cry through the laugh through those tears.
Speaker 1 (12:13):
Do you think you're gonna cry reading that?
Speaker 2 (12:16):
I did tear up starting it, especially at the very
end when I have a pretty big line that's really sweet.
Speaker 1 (12:22):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (12:23):
I think that part where I cry, and that's why
I saved it for the very end to be okay,
now I can plug the tears.
Speaker 1 (12:29):
Yeah, I just hope.
Speaker 2 (12:30):
I can make through it without crying, because I think
it'll be a good speech if I can.

You know, it's okay, it's whatever happens happens. I don't
think a bit I did because I think it was
really the whole day because Bobby had a lot of
people like there, his stepdad was there, his old friend Scotti,
and one of his old old room at college roommates
was there, and like we had just spent all day

together and a bunch of our friends from Texas, And
I think it's pretty that we're all there, And that's
what's cool about a wedding, right, It's so rare that
everyone's there. And I think we all realized that while
we were there, was that like I can't believe. We
really all couldn't believe that Bobby was actually getting married.
Like I do you know anything about Bobby, which a
lot of us do, It was it looked like something
(13:17):
that that would never happen in his life.
Speaker 2 (13:19):
Yeah, very surreal.
Speaker 1 (13:20):
It was so hard for him to find love or
even know what love was. And the fact that like
he was getting married and he just got married and
like it was real. Yeah, it hits you. It hits you.
And for you from reading that and knowing that, like
you guys were so close, like you make it seem
like we met like hah, we met this you you
(13:41):
shared your life with this person. Yeah, like it's almost
like a mom losing her daughter to marriage or a
dad and losing her his daughter to marry you know
what I mean. Like it's a big thing, and like
you're like, oh my gosh, you're not just my best
friend anymore. Like now you have you're gonna have another
best friend.
Speaker 2 (13:59):
Yeah, your new built and best friend. I was yours.
Speaker 1 (14:02):
I was yeah for our whole life. So it is emotional.
And if you cry, man, you cry, Like who cares?
Speaker 2 (14:09):
I know, but I just want to you just all
the really subtle jokes and make sure I like land those. Yeah,
you know what I mean about.
Speaker 1 (14:15):
Don't cry, don't worry about it. Don't worry about it though,
Like what you wrote was great, and there's a lot
of like stuff between you two, and then even just
talking about him, like that's funny, Like the stuff you
talk about him, that's that's funny, and like that's it's
just it's really good. That's what you want to remember
that it's about that.
Speaker 2 (14:33):
Yeah, did it sound like it is about them? Or
do I need to pull backstep? Okay, because it's kind
of weird because you're talking about like your memories, so
it feels a little bit I ish. Yeah, but I
was trying really hard to be like put the focus
on them.

That's kind of what I was thinking too when I
did my speech, was like, yeah, I'm going to tell
the jokes about our stories and our laughs and all that,
but now it's about them and not only about her, right,
not only about your sister, but about them.
Speaker 2 (14:58):
Yeah, and you have to acknowledge like that you can
because as like a maid of honor or the man
of honor, Like, you can't sit there and just talk
to the one person.
Speaker 1 (15:07):
Right, it's two of them. It's two of them. They're married.
Now you're doing this at the reception after they've met them.
They're married after their weddings. So like they're married. Now
you talk to them, and what's like your older.
Speaker 2 (15:17):
Sister, Yeah, she's older than me.
Speaker 1 (15:19):
Okay, so she's older. I'm gonna say. What was cool
about me is I had already been married for like
you those so I kind of had a little bit
of advice.
Speaker 2 (15:26):
You know, you don't have to remember that you did
give advice. Ye, No, I don't.
Speaker 1 (15:30):
You don't have that part yet, I don't.
Speaker 2 (15:33):
I did tell her, See.
Speaker 1 (15:34):
That'd be a funny joke too, just like as your
little sister This is the advice I give you.

You know, I didn't make a comment because they hadn't
met on bumble, And I don't know if you saw
that that little likes you know, yeah, the meaning on bumble.
So yeah, it's it's in there that I own that.
Speaker 1 (15:50):
But I like the very very end too that last time. Yeah,
don't don't forget that line though, because it's so it's
so down there and your end is so solid. Yeah,
that like that Princy line. Don't forget it.

Oh wait, hold on, are you talking about? I had
a very one in the part. The line is how
I may either start it. I have two possible suns.
That's why it's down at bottom, because I can't decide
how I should start it.

I like the line, That's what I'm saying, like, don't
lose it, but if you do it at the end,
if you do it at the end, you might lose it.

So the one I have, and I'm just gonna tell Taylor, well,
at this point we're gonna be wedding. She won't even
hear this. The two lines I have to start it.
One of them is some of them. Some of you
may not know me because my sister didn't let me
hang out.

Know there's always a thing where siblings don't let them
hang out.

Yeah yeah, becau they're embarrassed to the.

more about her. And that's why I was leaning toward
the one that's about her and kind of roasting her
a little bit, but not really.

My sister didn't let me hang out with you.

We'll do that one then, because you know what I
feel like I've heard. The condolence is one I think
I have to write, like I feel like that's a
common thing.

That it does relate to more people in the room,
because maybe not everybody's a sibling, but I think any
sibling hears that. Yeah, that's true. So I'm between those
two though. But that's why I still have it on
here as a possibility.

Right, So are you going to print that out and
take it up with you?
Speaker 2 (17:32):
Yeah, I'm gonna put it on little note cards though,
so it's not just a big she not know where
you are.
Speaker 1 (17:37):
I do like how you broke it up to again,
that's those are the points I'm talking about, So memorize.
So just memorize the end of those lines. Yeah, and
memorize the beginning so you know the transitions. Once you
got the transitions, you're it's easy, breezy, perfected.

So the oldest is like he's so drive mode right now,
like everything is drive, drive, drive, and and uh my
wife just told me that I think his test is
scheduled for like exactly one month, so it's real close.

So we have like thirty.

Days freaking out now.
Speaker 1 (18:50):
Well, yeah, because I mean I trust I'm telling you
I trust him driving. I'm just worried about a test.
Speaker 2 (18:56):
Is he not a good test taker? Because testing is hard, not.
Speaker 1 (18:59):
Just that it's it's just that, like I don't think
he's he's so careful that I don't think he'd get
into a wreck. He's good at kind of seeing cars
and reacting the right way and everything, but he doesn't
like just do things the way he's supposed to. Like

he's he's awesome. He had a summer job, so he
made some cash. Oh was he was just at a camp.
He was like a camp, like a camp counselor yeah, yeah,
like little kids. I think he was like all elementary

school kids age or whatever. And him and a couple
of his buddies work together.

So dang, they had a high school musical moment.

Well, high school musical. Two. They all go for summer
I believe it's two, or it might be three, but
they all go to a summer basically work at a
subber camp toge.

he talked to his buddies into doing the same job,
and that's what they've been doing.

Did he find a girlfriend at summer camp?

but it just doesn't seem like he's got anyone in
mind or he's dating anyone.

what's cool about him and his little breath, his younger brother,
is that Bobby gave them all a bunch of cards,
like Bobby sent out a bunch of So Bobby spent
a lot of money on sports cards, like a lot
of money, and sometimes they come back and they're not
as valuable as he thought he that they were. So

he's gotten a lot that he thinks that he can
sell and make money for from and he like puts
those on eBay or whatever. But whatever's not like up
to par. He's just like, here, give them the boys.
Give them the boys. And so we made a deal.
I haven't talked about this on air, but he made
a deal with them that if they sold all the cards,
they get to keep the money, but they got to

give him ten percent of the gross income.

Yeah. Yeah, so they've created an account. Okay, and they
all they I mean do they're working every day. Every
day they get these they take pictures. I have to
take the pictures though, because.

Well, because I let them take the pictures at first,
and they were all crooked or the reflection would have
them and they're they're like you see their faces in
the reflection of the car, Like, dude, you've got to
like do it more carefully. Yeah. So I take the
pictures for them, but they get all the information, they
type it up, they post it, and then they submit
it and then whenever there's a bid or whatever, I

kind of tell them like, hey, you got bids or
there's an offer, like they're offering fifteen dollars for this one?
Should we take it? You wanted the initial bid that
you put on there was thirty, Like would you want
to take fifteen? And they'll like talk about it amongst
themselves and be like oh yeah, yeah, yeah, okay, okay,
let's do it.

Okay, and they'll take you help them ship it out.

No, no, no, no, no, Like I got we ordered Amazon packages
from Amazon and it costs ten dollars for like a
pack of fifty and so that came out of their
their income, part of their business, yeah, part of their
part of their costs or whatever. So it's very simple,
like they've got a little label maker and they print
it out, put it in there, put the card in

the packet, seal it, and then if we're driving somewhere,
we drop it off the post office and done.

No? No, And I'm I think I think my role
is just to teach them like, all right, this is

but it is it's cool to see them kind of
like talk about all right, ten percent gross income like okay,

So they're learning that stuff early?

Yes? Yes. And at first my ten year old was

He's the one that's like very meticulous and very he's
a perfectionist, and so to him, he's just like, hey,
the other one's not doing anything, Like how am I
going to give him fifty percent of this if he's
not doing anything? And then finally I was like, well,
you've got to talk to him about it, and you

got to make a business partner, right, that's your business partner.
And so now he is the packager. Now now the
little one is the packager. And now he even did
a couple of posts himself, so he's kind of in it.

Businessman, they had a little business meeting, and I think
they're a ok now, okay, that's exciting. So that's really cool,
little money maker.

Okay, that's what they're both doing. And then they're both in.

Basketball, still still going hard.

Oh summer. I think I think they both realized that
basketball is their sport. Although my ten year old he's
in football camp. So he's about to start playing football
with the middle school. Yeah, yeah, so's fifth he's in
fifth grade, and then he'll be playing with the middle
school team just to kind of like, I don't know
if he'll start, but he'll be on the team. Yeah,
but that's kind of what they do at that's at

the school for like fifth graders, just to kind of
get him in football, get their feet wet in football.

Yeah, is this his first time playing football?

Did he play for school? He played like little Pop
Warner last year, got it, loved it. And he played
defensive end, which is he's like the cornerback, so like
there's the receiver runs fast. He's a fast runner. Yeah,
and he's not that big, but he can hit and
he loves to hit.

So defensive So running back is that kind of similar
position on offense?
Speaker 1 (25:04):
No? No, no, so so what.

The well defensive I just mean more they protect the
running back or they go after the running back.

Is that not right, not really. So, like if you
look at the football team, like you have the receivers, right, yeah,
the wide receivers, they're on the outside. Yeah, they're the
ones that catch the ball.

So the defense, the defensive backs are the guys that
are lined up against them trying to stop them.

From catching one of the It's confusing, but the wide
receiver and running back are all the ones that are
helping make those plays, right. Running back is the one
that's just taking the ball and.

Running running back to the guy behind the quarterback.

So my son plays defense and I think he eventually
wants to play like wide receiver. So I don't know,
we'll see. What's really cool about like just starting football
is that the coaches kind of swatch you and they
kind of see like, all right, like what are you
kind of like you know what, I'm gonna try you
at running back, I'm gonna try you at defensive end.
I'm gonna try you at a cornerback. And so he's

excited to see what the coaches are going to like
think he can he can?

He can fall in love with one position that I
never even thought possible totally.

And what happens at this age is that, like so
before like ten, everyone plays football like in the backyard, right,
and they're like, I'm a receiver, I'm a running back,
I'm the quarterback, like all this stuff. But what happens
is like, well, football, like there are more positions. You
have offensive line, you have the defensive line, you have linebackers,
you have like all this stuff that you never play
with with your play as with your friends.

No, not at all.

So so then you have like this six foot kid
who a six foot tenth ten year old, and they're like,
you're not going to be our quarterback. You are going
to be our offensive line, and you're not gonna let
anyone touch our quarterback. And it's they're so like heartbroken
because they're like I wanted to be the quarterback. But
it's like, dude, you're learning a whole new game.

Is it not like you know how like everybody kind
of has those dreams growing up, isn't quarterback Like if
you're like I'm gonna play in the NFL, quarterback is
just the automatic.

Yes, I'm going to be a quarterback. That's what you
want to be. That's what everybody wants to everybody wants
to be Tom Brady.

The most commonly know yes, and the most famous players
often come from that that majority of people. Yes.

But there's a whole position where all you do you
never touch the ball, and all you do is just
protect the quarterback and make sure nobody touches him, you
know so. And they've never played that before in their life.
They never they don't know what that is. So they've
got to start from scratch. And the bad thing is
they're just big, like that's the only reason they're in
that position. They probably there probably are good enough to
be a quarterback. They probably could throw the ball one

hundred miles. But at that age, the coach is just like,
I need a big guy, and you're him, and now
you've got to learn how to do this random, random position.
That's so exciting because like my son never thought he
would be a defensive back, but like the coach immediate
was like, no, no, no, I want you. You have good hands
and you're like a decent receiver, but you like to hit,

and there are some receivers that don't like to hit,
so and.

I feel like you have to be one the line.

Yeah, because you're the one to tackling. Yeah, you're the
last line of defense when like somebody's got the ball

Five? And so like he'll walk around and be like, hey,

Yeah, and it's like and he's laughing while he's doing it,
And so teachers love him because he's so cute, but

so cute and he smiles ever, and he has a
lot like a great sense of humor, like a sense
of humor that is next level, like the sense of

And like he's a special person and once he gets
rid of this whole like bad boy thing, like he's

with him the other day. We were at a little
trampoline jumping place, yeah, and he got uh so I
turned around in time to see him get pushed like
pushed over and he fell over like whoa. And I

was like, oh my gosh, what's happening over there? And
I get over there and he was about to get
up and like just start going at this other kid,
and I'm like see, I grabbed him like no, no, no,
no, no no no no no, like you're coming back with me.
And he wasn't crying every thing. He was kind of
laughing again, like still thinks it's kind of funny. But
it was a nine year old. He's fighting with a
nine year old again, slapped him in the butt at
a trampoline place and called them like you go out

your garbage. You're trash, you're trash because they were playing
a basketball game.

He's probaly going to get in a fight.

I'm telling you he's no. But but here's the thing,
Like he's tough, like he makes me that's why he's
going to get He makes our nine year old and
ten year old like cry like sometimes when he fights them,
so like, yes, he's going to get into fights, but
he's going to beat the crap out of people. And
it's like, and that's part of it too. We're like, dude,
you cannot you will hurt, you will hurt If he
fights a kid his own age, he will hurt him

because he is that like big.

money into it. We're really trying our best to like

well did he do it? And all his brother's like

I will say that there are and I've talked about this,
where there are just like weeks or like months where
it's just like full throttle, but it's it's summertime like

and this. These are the moments where you realize, like, man,
our school year weeks are crazy because like our our
weeks aren't as crazy now, even though they do have
camps and they have like you know, basketball games or whatever.
Whenever they don't have that, you stop and think, like, man,
like it's kind of boring, like what are we gonna
do today? Yeah, you know, Usually we wake up and

it's like, well, we gotta go, we gotta take them
and do this and that. But like when we don't
have it, you kind of miss it a little bit.
And I've heard a lot of people tell me too that, oh,
you know, you're gonna miss this, You're gonna miss these
years of like what I I don't know, That's what
I'm telling you, Like, I don't think I am, but
there are weeks where we don't do it and I'm
like kind of miss it a little bit.

Yeah, Well, it's probably mixed emotions. You probably absolutely will. Yeah,
and you'll probably also be like, I'm really glad we're
out of that. Yeah.

I mean I feel like that's mixed emotions at least
from like somebody who doesn't have kids perspective. I just
feel like that's what comes with parenthood, right, You got

ready ready for kids? Yeah? No, but I think you are.

Because you have that nurture, you know, caretaking I do.

I've kept multiple animals alive and they're like my little children.
I'm on that path. Am I ready and have any

a lot of questions about it, like especially as being

really nervous about how I'm gonna feel about my body

and all these changes that are happening, and then also
my whole life feels like it's going to be over,
but also a whole new life is starting. There's just
so many like mixed and I think because I grew
up around social media and I grew up so well
aware of everything that was happening around me, I have
more questions than like the average person because I just

I have so many different feelings, really happy feelings, but
also really terrified. Also should I do this? Doing I wanted?
There's just multiple questions surrounding it. So like you asked
me right now? No, but is there a time in
my life where I want to Yes, I think I
have finally at least answered that question. I just don't
know if, when, how, But all the other.

Yeah, that was something that got brought up pretty early.

doesn't even know. He's not listening.

is that he's really adjusting to is like my public life,

bit if I ever do post a picture of him
and he's a little bit more known, like maybe let's

for now, yeah, he's okay with it.

Okay, so big, big gym guy. He loves basketball, He
likes work out, likes to work out, He plays basketball
ill of his friends and watching just a big basketball
fan in general. NBA.

Do you watch did you watch the whole playoffs with him?

I didn't watch all the players, but I did watch games.
I have more basketball on my TV than I've around
in my life. I was a good Kay, this is
this is new for me. I've you over there playing
my game. He's like, you don't want to watch a note,
but you can. I'm right here. I did learn some stuff.
He's big into, Like we're both kind of adventure people,
so we like going and doing stuff. Big Foodie loves
going to try new restaurants, likes like good food.

Yeah, yeah, perfect, big foodie. So we do a lot
of that. Also really chill. He likes to watch movies
and a little bit more introverted than I am, so
like he kind of makes me relax a little bit
more and I kind of pull him out a little
bit more. So it's a good balance and big in
he likes puzzles. That's fun. He's also very creative, like
he paints.

Things really yeahs an artist.

Yeah he So. One of our dates we had recently
gone on, we went and did pottery together and he's
actually really good. His his mug that he paint didn't
turn out the way well. He used stamps that they
had there, and the stamp student turned out. He's like,
I should have just drawn it. I would be better.
So it like was deceitful in that, but he's just
the way he thinks or whatever. It was cute, like

the the so I had I had created I painted.
This place is really cool where you should take the kids.
It's called brush Fire Pottery and they have all these
different options of things for you to paint and then
they put it in the they'll like a week later,
they'll you'll get it back.

And I had chosen a boot, like a cowboy boots
as a vase to put. Yeah, he saw this post
and then the mug he created, and it was like,
this is the whole thought process, Like, how did you
even I literally was just copying off with the boot
that I saw that was on the shelf, and he
was like, had this whole random idea, So very creative.
But yeah, that's that's a lot of his hobbies.

Vegetarianeering Yeah, well he doesn't mind. His mom is also
veget His mom is vegan, so that also helps. And
like a lot of things, and he's not a huge
like he'll eat meat and stuff when we go out
to restaurants, but like at home, he really only eats
like chicken and salmon. So he's not a huge meat

eater at home, so when I make vegetarian recipes, he's like, oh,
this is great. He's willing to try everything. He's gonna
have a little garbage can and he'll eat whatever. He
