The first NFL weekend is in the books, and Bobby has a confession to make to kick the show off. He went to bed and missed the epic comeback from the Bills last night, so the guys explained it to him. Plus, college football Hall of Famer and current CFB analyst David Pollack joined Bobby to talk about the roller coaster ride of Billy Napier and the Florida Gators program, if Arch Manning is hurt, and the year he grew 6 inches in high school. And Bobby hosts a game of 'Can You Name That Rivalry' between Eddie and Kickoff Kevin, which Eddie seems to struggle with.

Speaker 3 (01:39):
This is a podcast came twenty five Wist Stocking fun
Fou and they are well a whist So yeah, it's
too bad, but what did you expect?

Speaker 4 (01:48):
It's a podcast, came twenty five.

Speaker 3 (01:51):
Wist twenty line.

Speaker 1 (01:54):
Alright, blow Eddie, I'd like to start with a confession.
Uh oh, last night, after Buffalo missed the sack in
the fourth quarter like they had Lamar back, he did
a little dipsy derve and then ran for like eighteen yards.

Speaker 3 (02:09):
You remember that play?

Speaker 5 (02:10):
Yes, yeah, I went to bed.

Speaker 3 (02:12):
I will know. Look, you're not the only one, dude.
Half of the stadium left.

Speaker 1 (02:17):
I woke up this morning and thought, because I get
like three or four emails, like I subscribed to the
athletic and it was like one of the greatest comebacks.
I was like, there was four minutes left, there were
down two score what.

Speaker 3 (02:29):
So what did you miss all of it live?

Speaker 1 (02:31):
I watched all of up up until they missed that sack,
and I'm like, well, this game's over, so I'm out.

Speaker 3 (02:38):
I've missed all of it. So I don't know. We'll
clue me in who stayed up for all?

Speaker 4 (02:45):
Yuys?

Speaker 3 (02:45):
I did well?

Speaker 4 (02:46):
How did you guys keep watching? They were down two?

Speaker 3 (02:48):
Had a bed at a plus nine bet. I haven't
had Buffalo plus nine.

Speaker 1 (02:51):
I had James Cook, so I did hit at James
Cook Derrick Henry both to score a touchdown of the game.
He had like five hundred bucks off like eighty buck
bet and also had James Cook over sixty. And I
also was like, he's not getting it. So they're down
two possessions, they're just going to throw fifty eight yards,
didn't hit it, but that was secondary.

Speaker 3 (03:08):
It doesn't matter.

Speaker 1 (03:09):
It doesn't matter. I can't believe it. So I know
what happened because I watched the clips.

Speaker 3 (03:15):
More is unbelievable. Yeah, it was unbelievable when Derrick Henry fumbled.
That's crazy. By the way, she had Oliver knocked it out. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (03:22):
He's also the one who missed the Lamar sack.

Speaker 5 (03:24):
Yeah, I mean.

Speaker 3 (03:25):
Dude, it wasn't everyone. He missed the Lamar Lamar. Just dude,
that's true. That's like he's such a slippery guy.

Speaker 1 (03:32):
I can't believe Derek Henry fumble.

Speaker 3 (03:33):
He fumbles at the thirty yard line and it changes everything.
I mean, you can see Josh Allen's eyes like, this
is it. It's happening. But it wasn't easy, dude, because
they needed a two point conversion they scored.

Speaker 1 (03:45):
They also missed that two point conversion earlier that I saw.

Speaker 5 (03:47):
Yeah, they missed a couple of them.

Speaker 1 (03:48):
Yeah, and they almost got a one point safety. What
was that on that two point conversion with the interception
and he threw it back, he like pitched it. The
guy had been tackled, that had been a one point safety. Yeah, anyway,
it doesn't matter. That game is crazy.

Speaker 5 (04:02):
A lot couldn't believe a lot that happened. The crazy
part was I woke up to my phone going off.
Literally went to bed same time as you woke up
to my phone. I'm like, what the heck? Am like?
This game has to be turning crazy? I look, and
then I watched the last two minutes on my phone
with no audio at all while my wife sleeps right
behind me, and I was just like, oh, oh.

Speaker 1 (04:20):
My god, you were getting text about a team that's
not even your team.

Speaker 5 (04:23):
Yeah, my dad and brother we just because it was
that wild of a game.

Speaker 3 (04:26):
It didn't matter, dude, if you were nobody text me, well,
I'm not texting well Eddie's not a group. I am
not texting you late night, no change.

Speaker 1 (04:33):
Good point on that, And secondly, who knows I've been
watching that game like you'd probably know I am, but
you're not gonna blow me up.

Speaker 3 (04:38):
On I did check to see that if the our
threat our little text thread was at least going like
are you are you up? Are you watching this? But
no one said anything, so I figured, oh.

Speaker 1 (04:46):
I went to bed after they missed that sack. I
was like, well, this game's over.

Speaker 3 (04:49):
But here's what was crazy about the very end, which
is like, of course I was invested. I was heavily
invested in it because I had a live bet, a
live money line buffalo bet that I took at the
half that paid like plus two fifty. I want one
hundred dollars at the end of the game, but I
waited till the very end. So they all they want
to do is get in field goal position to win,

(05:09):
to win the game with like a minute left.

Speaker 1 (05:11):
They sound like somebody who is not for America talking
about football for the first time. What do you mean
they get in field goal positions.

Speaker 3 (05:16):
They're trying to get in field in field goal positions
right range.

Speaker 1 (05:19):
Again, you sound like somebody from Scandinavia who's just learning
American football rules.

Speaker 3 (05:24):
They're trying to get in field goal range. The field
goal position is you know, no, I didn't realize I
said it like that. So anyway, they're just trying to
get a field goal. But then they'd launch a ball
down the field. They end up at like the ten
yard line, and I'm like, it's first and ten with
forty seconds left, and they start kneeling the ball, and

(05:44):
I know you trust your kicker. I know you do.
And it's a little A lot of miskicks today though,
are a lot of minute greater. I understand. I don't
care if it was justin Tucker out of the massage room, like,
you have four chances and forty seconds to at least
do something, But there is the risk of fumbling the ball,
I understand. But when they knelt the when they kneel

(06:05):
down to three times to take the clock all the
way down to five seconds, I was stressing. But they
made it and they won the game. It was freaking amazing.
That's crazy. Congratulations.

Speaker 1 (06:15):
I mean, that definitely sets up Josh Allen to be
the MVP if he is equal now to Lamar for
the rest of the year. If you're if it's arguable
Josh Allen wins because of this game.

Speaker 5 (06:26):
He was unbelievable. He was and Dereck Henry was unbelievable.
That just sucks.

Speaker 3 (06:30):
He fumbled flowers. They were all so.

Speaker 5 (06:33):
I was watching the Ravens like nobody's beating this team.

Speaker 1 (06:36):
I mean, possible AFC Championship game there for sure, probably
the best two teams in the AFC yeah, yeah.

Speaker 5 (06:41):
I mean after week one for sure.

Speaker 1 (06:43):
Yeah, I mean I'm just saying looking looking at them
and both you watch those teams and you're like nobody else.

Speaker 5 (06:48):
Lists like this in the NFL.

Speaker 1 (06:49):
Now you've been watching Buffalo, I don't know their jerseys
that that blue looked fast. Yeah, Like sometimes you just
look good, like they say, get off the bus, like
both teams look good.

Speaker 3 (07:00):
It's crazy too that, like they can't learn to stop
Derrick Henry.

Speaker 1 (07:04):
Like learn how do you learn to say, the gigantic
guy who's stupid fast, take his legs out there, outrun
people on angles. Yes, he's out running safeties on the head,
angles on him. So there are two reasons you can't
stop Derrick Henry. One he's massive. Two he's fast.

Speaker 5 (07:22):
I would hate to tackle that.

Speaker 3 (07:23):
It sucks. Hate it.

Speaker 1 (07:24):
Yep, he's coming at you one on one.

Speaker 5 (07:26):
Dude, have it, bro go.

Speaker 1 (07:30):
Business decision. I'm gonna let you get a Fiel goal position.

Speaker 3 (07:34):
That sounds right to take a risk.

Speaker 1 (07:36):
So here's what we're gonna do. I give you a
second to think about yours. We're going to do who
sucked and who was awesome. It can be anything from
the weekend because the benefit of doing the show on
a Monday is that we have all college and all NFL.
So I'll go first, who sucked Texas?

Speaker 3 (07:50):
Oh that's hot take?

Speaker 1 (07:52):
Well, no, no, I'm going to tell you why Texas
sucked because Texas wins thirty eight seven. Arch looks fine.
He threw a bunch of touchdowns. But I gotta talk
to they have a pollock about this. When you throw,
you would see him and go like, oh a bit
as well. And so, yeah, he scored touchdowns. It was fine,
they should But I bet Texas to cover I don't

(08:12):
know halfway through the game and they freaking like fumbled
it to lose the So Texas, I'm I looked for
a reason to like Arch Manning because I like Arch,
I hate Texas, and so I was like, I'm gonna
bet on Texas.

Speaker 3 (08:25):
It's San Jose State.

Speaker 1 (08:27):
And they fumbled and they fumbled the in right, didn't
they fumble? I can't even remember up on my phone
they like they fumbled.

Speaker 5 (08:31):
Probably I stopped watching that game.

Speaker 1 (08:35):
I hate Texas for not cover. It's run of my notes.
I hate Texas also for not covering, for fumbling, and
for sucking. So that's who sucks.

Speaker 3 (08:43):
Mike, and.

Speaker 1 (08:46):
I had for Mike, so I did bet on him.
I tried to find a reason to like them. I
couldn't they even they fumbled even.

Speaker 3 (08:54):
Then threw you off believing in him.

Speaker 1 (08:56):
Now I don't believe in Texas. Just an Arch you're
rooting I'm rooting for I'm still rooting for Arch itself,
but I'm now rooting for Texas. I'm rooting against Texas
more than I'm rooting for Arch. It was even for
a while where I was trying to figure out where
I actually fell in this, and now I'm rooting for
against Texas more than I'm rooting for Arch. So yeah,
that's who sucked Texas. Who was awesome? The Cincinnati football.

Speaker 3 (09:20):
Gods, Oh the gods, or.

Speaker 1 (09:23):
Is it the Browns that just sucks so bad? Like
the Brown's gonna brown and they Brown's hard yesterday, But
the football gods were gentle to Cincinnati.

Speaker 3 (09:30):
They needed to win that game.

Speaker 1 (09:31):
Like the little fly go through a pass, it was
good hit off his hand, interception. Cincinnati goes down Wednesday,
Thank god, because we'll get to our little league in
a second.

Speaker 3 (09:40):
Gosh, that was stressful, very like so stressful. I may
not be able to take it all season.

Speaker 1 (09:45):
You won't.

Speaker 3 (09:46):
I was worried about you.

Speaker 1 (09:47):
I stopped Hey what what?

Speaker 5 (09:50):
Eddie just stopped replying.

Speaker 1 (09:52):
I I started to feel so guilty and thinking about
buying Eddie out week one.

Speaker 3 (09:56):
I was like, can I tell you what happened? Before
we even talk about all that. Let me tell you
what happens. So my son is so stupid. He has
two basketball games on Sunday in the middle of the day,
and I'm pissed, and my wife's like, you can't miss him.
There's first basketball games. I'm like, it's the first it's
the first week of NFL. So anyway, I go and
I'm watching. The coach looks at me and say, hey, man,
will you do the score? And I'm like, oh, I

(10:18):
have my phone in my hand. He obviously sees the
streaming going on, and I go, I'll do it. Sure.
So I go to the score table with my phone
and the score guy goes like, dude, you're gonna need
to focus. So like, I'll just get someone else to
do it. I say, thank you. Oh, out of it.
So I got out of it. I watched it on
my phone, but I'm trying to watch basketball, dude. It

(10:40):
was too much from yelling at my sun to get
in the game. You're like, oh my gosh, they missed
the field goal. It was crazy. All that was crazy.

Speaker 5 (10:47):
There was a lot.

Speaker 1 (10:48):
So here's who sucked Texas and here's who was awesome.
The Cincinnati football gods.

Speaker 3 (10:53):
Yes, the gods for letting Bengals.

Speaker 1 (10:55):
For letting Cincinnati sneak out with that win against a
terrible Browns team, which means since I may not be
good possibly yeah.

Speaker 5 (11:04):
Actually one week one, which they haven't done in.

Speaker 3 (11:05):
Like seven years, win week You're right, that's a great point.
And then I'm thinking too, like okay, please like Packer
gods like go take a nap, and it don't looked
awesome and Packers looked great, So that was not good
for us.

Speaker 1 (11:19):
It's week one. I mean we can we can jump
into this real quick. And I want to go around the.

Speaker 3 (11:23):
Room, but sorry, is this hard not to talk about that?
It is?

Speaker 1 (11:26):
So we got in this league, and I can explain
the system, but you draft team. We have four teams,
and we need these four teams. We need three at
a four to win every week We're going to lose money.

Speaker 3 (11:34):
And so.

Speaker 1 (11:37):
We only had two of the four that we needed
win and so we're in the hole.

Speaker 5 (11:42):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (11:42):
That being said, what happens is there are six people
they draft six teams. You draft a winner, lose, And
this is going to be kind of confusing, but if
you win, you win five hundred bucks your team, Like
if the Bengals won, we won five hundred dollars. But
every time somebody else's team wins, we have to pay
one hundred bucks. And so it ends up last year,
like we had Matt still on there people that lost
ten thousand dollars, there's also somebody that won ten thousand dollars.

Speaker 3 (12:04):
I won four thousand exactly. So we had we had.

Speaker 1 (12:10):
Six games, and this is gonna be confusing because I
drafted Miami to win and lose, and that counts as
the skin, but it also counts the skin you.

Speaker 3 (12:15):
Can't win as well.

Speaker 1 (12:16):
So out of the six, we had three wins, and
as of right now, I think we're down five hundred
bucks yep, and we can't make any money tonight. We
can only not lose more money tonight, Okay, and that's
if the Bears win.

Speaker 3 (12:26):
So we're rooting for the Bears tonight.

Speaker 5 (12:28):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (12:28):
So yeah, we're down five hundred dollars right.

Speaker 3 (12:30):
Now, and our teams are okay.

Speaker 1 (12:32):
The Bucks, hey, holy crap, speaking about the god gods.
First of all, they shouldn't have missed the extra point, ye, correct,
because the game would have been over.

Speaker 5 (12:42):
Yeah, I know. It was after I texted you guys.

Speaker 3 (12:44):
Yeah, it was right after your texts.

Speaker 5 (12:46):
And then it's an extra playing like no, and that's okay.

Speaker 3 (12:49):
But then that then the Falcons, the Falcons kicker who
doesn't miss, I mean, he's really good, decided to miss.

Speaker 4 (12:54):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (12:54):
So I don't make this all about us, but we
have don't make it all but we have the Bucks,
the Bengals, we have Chiefs, the Chiefs and a Patriot.

Speaker 3 (13:02):
Which I'm worried about that one now, Ken me too. Yeah.
So that's where we are.

Speaker 1 (13:06):
We need those four teams winter because we could lose
thousands of dollars.

Speaker 3 (13:09):
It's ressful, but we can also win. We can't a
lot of money.

Speaker 6 (13:13):
You can.

Speaker 1 (13:14):
And I've been in the black over my three years,
Like I'm ahead a couple of thousand.

Speaker 3 (13:19):
Black is good. Yeah, that's what it's called Black Friday.
And then Red is the trouble. Yeah, Red's bad.

Speaker 5 (13:24):
Yeah, stay in the black, baby, that's hard.

Speaker 3 (13:26):
Because I love red and Roulette, so I don't have
to work on that.

Speaker 1 (13:28):
Well, that's my favorite color. To the bad but and
Kevin's fantasy team dominated mine. At a good week, Kevin
had the greatest week I've ever seen a fantasy football history.
But the thing is, you don't even care about fantasy
that much because you're just worried about your money.

Speaker 3 (13:40):
The funny you said that because I didn't give a
crap about fantasy one me neither.

Speaker 5 (13:45):
I didn't care about players anymore. I cared about teams,
teams and watch teams.

Speaker 3 (13:48):
Teams that have never cared about I know. Ever, I
never watched the Bengals game like come Home Burgles.

Speaker 1 (13:54):
No, I know, because you lose money and then you
start rooting for other games you have no interest because
it's a hundred bucks.

Speaker 5 (14:00):
Yeah, it adds up quick. That's what I realized. When
once it started scoring, I was like, oh wait, oh,
another four.

Speaker 3 (14:05):
My wife was like, you're a Bucks fan now, Like, well,
let me explain this year.

Speaker 1 (14:10):
For the next seventeen weeks, I am including the Bible. Okay, Kevin,
who sucked? Who was awesome?

Speaker 5 (14:16):
Who sucked? Was a guy that you'd been high on
for a while. But Week one was bad and that's
bo Nicks. Bow Nicks sucked. He had they did win,
but Titans had every opportunity they could to win that game.
They just didn't want to win it. But he's had
three turnovers and he just looked like he was trying
to do too much. Last year, he was just really
playing the system of the offense and he looked like
he was just calm and collected. Yesterday he was like flustered.

(14:39):
He was yelling at players, and he seemed like he
was trying to win the game himself. So I thought
he sucked. And then who was good? You know, I'm
not an Oklahoma guy, but mateer John Mattier from Oklahoma
was awesome on Saturday night. I watched the whole game. Uh,
Michigan's defense is real and he diced them up with
his legs arms. They got that win. He was awesome.

Speaker 3 (14:59):
He was always in my field goal position, yes he
what And that was to hear the end of this. Yeah,
that position, that position in the field, you know, or
like it's the money.

Speaker 1 (15:08):
But that's a good game. My wife is a massive
OU fans. We watched the whole game. Yeah, they kept
trying to give it back though.

Speaker 5 (15:16):
Oklahoma. Yeah, yeah, I mean they get just kind of
like the Broncos. They gave him every opportunity. They're like,
come on, I thought the Titans might actually pull it.

Speaker 1 (15:23):
I don't care, but I thought I did kind of
root for the Titans because that was money for us
and we can't talk about our league the whole time,
but I know, but we wanted I know, we wanted
the Titans to win that for that, And kim Ward
was like, cool, Hey, I thought cam Ward for Game
one looked pretty freaking good because he had no time, right,
I mean it was, yeah, that was it every play. Yeah,

(15:43):
and then they had to change out of tackle, and
then it was once they changed out the tackle, cam
Ward had even less time.

Speaker 5 (15:48):
Yeah, it was brutal for him. You see his dad
in the stands stressing out. Is pretty funny.

Speaker 1 (15:52):
The announcer was like, cam Wored's dad's also like super calm,
and they kept looking at it, like and then finally
he went up to the rail bent over and he's like, oh, awesome,
Ago who sucked was awesome, Eddie.

Speaker 3 (16:04):
You're not gonna like this, but the Panthers sucked. They
suck just terrible, dude. The Panthers may be bad again.
Like every time I switched to the Panthers. There's Bryce
Young just running for his life again. I thought t
Mac would save him. I think t Mac was a
decent fantasy player this year, but this this week. But yeah, dude,
Panthers are nothing to look forward to. I don't think so.
I think we a lot.

Speaker 5 (16:25):
I'm sure you a lot of room think it was
weird too, though, the whole like delay, I don't know, lightning.

Speaker 3 (16:32):
Yeah, for like five minutes they're playing in Florida. Bro
Oh no, no, no, I'm thinking of Denver. Denver was crazy.
It was a five minute whether.

Speaker 5 (16:39):
Jacksonville was like three hours.

Speaker 1 (16:40):
Yeah, Jacksonville round like early round game and it was
playing deep into the second round. Yeah, that was bizarre. Brandon,
you want to do one who sucked on the way?

Speaker 3 (16:48):
I got to give you my awesome Oregon the Ducks
they punished Gundy.

Speaker 1 (16:53):
Awesome, they punished.

Speaker 3 (16:54):
I loved watching every minute. Well I didn't watch a
lot of it, but it was cool to see.

Speaker 5 (16:58):
That's good one.

Speaker 1 (16:59):
Sorry, I didn't mean to catch up. You're good, Uh, Brandon,
who sucked Florida?

Speaker 3 (17:02):
Sucked. Yeah, that's that's a tough one.

Speaker 1 (17:05):
Yeah, that's a tough one because they just signed their
coach to a new deal. Yeah, and all of a sudden,
you spit. It's another spit game. What a terrible penalty.
That's a culture issue. That's no respect for the player
or for even your own even your own coaches. If
you do that, everything's on camera.

Speaker 3 (17:25):
There's a spitting culture.

Speaker 1 (17:26):
No, but it's a I don't care about the rules.
I care about myself. Yeah, and there are certain coaches
that own that and go you don't. It's not about
you and players about it. Saban was big on that, Like,
if you did that crap with Saban, he benched you.
It don't matter how good you were because the next
man up.

Speaker 3 (17:43):
Uh yeah, it sucked. Are you guys spitters?

Speaker 5 (17:46):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (17:47):
I need you to do you guts? Like, do you
guys spit randomly?

Speaker 1 (17:51):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (17:52):
Like just sore you walk? I don't know two out
of ten.

Speaker 1 (17:57):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (17:57):
If I'm rating myself, I don't spit.

Speaker 5 (17:59):
I mean I feel like working out well oh yeah,
like or if you're on a run or something.

Speaker 1 (18:05):
Yeah, I mean yeah, my mouth.

Speaker 3 (18:06):
Dress dry mouth is different, Like that's a necessity. But
like you know, people just walking around like that spit
all the time. If I'm on a balcony, I give
it a second thought how.

Speaker 1 (18:15):
High I am and like, okay, well yeah that's different, yes, yeah,
because that's uh that's general height interest.

Speaker 3 (18:21):
I think if you have a problem, if you don't
stand on a balcony, they want to spit it.

Speaker 1 (18:25):
Maybe not spit, but I want to drop something. I
want to I want to time something. Yeah, Brandon who
was awesome.

Speaker 7 (18:30):
Uh, the Colts and Daniel Jones, we were going to
go to that game, but we we canceled.

Speaker 3 (18:35):
He didn't go, and I was like, go to that game.

Speaker 7 (18:38):
I know, Well, we just stayed in Nashville because we're
like we're exhausted. That's why we want to like take
a weekend. So like we you know, we just got
a hotel in Nashville and we just watched football the
entire weekend.

Speaker 3 (18:49):
You know, your watch Steelers one?

Speaker 1 (18:51):
Yeah they did, Yeah yeah, and that was a that's
a crazy game, Yeah, really crazy?

Speaker 3 (18:56):
Do you have four touchdowns?

Speaker 5 (18:57):
I thought that was gonna be a dud of a
game too.

Speaker 1 (18:59):
When he got sacked that it started to start the game.
I was like Aaron Rodgers can't move, and you know what,
he didn't move a whole lot even then, but.

Speaker 3 (19:05):
His arm is still there.

Speaker 5 (19:06):
Some dimes.

Speaker 1 (19:08):
And the Jets did not look terrible.

Speaker 3 (19:11):
Fields Fields looked amazing.

Speaker 1 (19:13):
You know who else didn't look terrible? I made I
made some notes. Russell, uh, no interest.

Speaker 5 (19:19):
Wilson, he.

Speaker 3 (19:24):
Didn't look bad.

Speaker 1 (19:25):
I wrote down, Rattler didn't suck. That's my whole note.
That's that's a good note, because as I was watching them,
I was like, I really expected them to be a
lot worse. And Spenser Radler looked like an NFL quarterback.
They lost, but he didn't look terrible, and I think
his expectation was terrible, and anything above terrible is good.
So he looked good. So yeah, you know what else

(19:45):
didn't suck? I hit my ghost leg. This is not
part of the commercial, and I'll tell our listeners this.
The guys thought I was doing a commercial on our text.

Speaker 3 (19:55):
Because I read it and I was like, gosh, I
sound like Bobby cutting the commercial, I said, Eddie and
Kevin attack. I was like, guys, don't forg it's the
ghost leg because you can add that to your proleg
right now.

Speaker 5 (20:02):
If you go to draft kids, use Bobby Sports.

Speaker 1 (20:05):
Go do your go and I hit. So I picked
four games and one of them didn't hit, which was
the Panthers plus four and a half, and I bet
like one hundred bucks and it was like five fifty.
They killed that game, my ghosts like they didn't hit
and I'm one hundred bucks maybe like three twenty five orcent. Wow,
it was awesome.

Speaker 3 (20:20):
That's really cool. Yeah, I needed two ghost legs. Oh yeah,
Fortunately they only give you one both legs.

Speaker 1 (20:26):
Ghost like I did the Eddie bet two or I
did like a sixteen game parlay.

Speaker 3 (20:30):
Oh yeah, how many did you get wrong?

Speaker 5 (20:32):
So many?

Speaker 3 (20:32):
Adi even check? Oh no, that's right, all over all
over the board.

Speaker 1 (20:35):
But I'm telling you the ghost leg made me money.

Speaker 3 (20:37):
That's awesome.

Speaker 1 (20:38):
So do that the codes Bobby Sports. But this wasn't
part of like their sponsorship on the show. It did work.
I also did the I get a free no sweat bet.
I don't know if they're doing it next week, but
I told the guys too. Hey, guys, don't forget there's
a no sweat bet over DraftKings.

Speaker 3 (20:50):
Up to how much money? Five hundred, which is awesome,
Like it's huge, and that means like, if you lose it,
you have five hundred dollars whatever you whatever you bet,
but you can do it up to five hundred. So
if you bet five hundred, you have up to five
hundred dollars on your next bet. Hilariouss We're not doing
an ad right now, No, no, But what's stupid about
this is Bobby sends this always like up to five
hundred dollars. Guys go to DraftKings right right now.

Speaker 5 (21:10):
And it's like twenty minutes before kickoff, we're like, oh, shoot,
gotta do no got.

Speaker 3 (21:13):
So I jumped over there and I look at it.
I'd already used it for like five dollars. So why
because I didn't know it was up to five hundred,
I would have done something way bigger.

Speaker 1 (21:23):
Interesting, I did mine for five hundred, and I bet
the Bengals plus or minus five and a half.

Speaker 3 (21:28):
They did not cover.

Speaker 1 (21:29):
Excuse me, So I rebt it and it was the
Broncos minus like nine and a half and they didn't cover.
So I lost two runs out. Yeah, but I was there.

Speaker 3 (21:38):
It lost two runs. Here's the thing.

Speaker 1 (21:43):
I lost all my money.

Speaker 3 (21:44):
What everything that I driving count?

Speaker 1 (21:47):
I got all the way down to like two hundred.

Speaker 3 (21:49):
But but but the Cubs game, man, we made money at
the Cup. I know, I may.

Speaker 1 (21:52):
I ended up having a great run last night.

Speaker 3 (21:55):
You were on a heater.

Speaker 1 (21:56):
Yeah, I was at like three thirty three hundred going
into yesterday. I got all the way down to two
hundred dollars. Oh my goodness, I'm back to twenty three hundred,
which I made just last night.

Speaker 3 (22:05):
Were your fingers just flying?

Speaker 1 (22:06):
I'm still way up because I started it like to
eighty two dollars. Yeah, but I had a I just
wanted our audience to know I'm being honest with you
guys like I had. I was the hottest of hot,
and then I suffered my de league got down to
like two hundred.

Speaker 3 (22:22):
You know what.

Speaker 1 (22:23):
I hit a couple uh any game touchdown score parlays, wow,
which made.

Speaker 5 (22:26):
Me love those ones.

Speaker 1 (22:27):
They're good, yep, and they never hit for me like
I suck at those. But again, I hit a Derrick
Henry James Cook two game three. I bet three hundred
bucks a hit for a thousand.

Speaker 3 (22:37):
Oh wow, that's good.

Speaker 5 (22:38):
Hit nice, and so.

Speaker 1 (22:40):
I made my way back up. So but yeah, no,
it was it was not good, not good for a
long time and then it finally got okay again.

Speaker 3 (22:46):
But yeah, that was it. Saturday night, I stayed up
for the nightcaps and I got down to thirty. I
was at one fifty starting Saturday. Got down at thirty
bucks in the nightcap. I think it was like, I
don't know why, but it was, Oh, it's b Yu.
I thought b Yu would would score more because they
were killing that game. But now we got down at

(23:07):
thirty bucks. But at the end of that Buffalo Ravens game, Dude,
I'm back. Good for you.

Speaker 1 (23:12):
I feel like I'm back to fighting weight. I mean,
I'm still up, but I'm back to fighting weight. Because
I was about three hundred bucks. I was like, I'm
gonna sit out next week.

Speaker 3 (23:18):
You were already defeated. Yes, I'm gonna take a break.

Speaker 1 (23:21):
I was like, I'm gonna sit out next week and
just kind of regather. I don't want to I'm gonna
be chasing, and uh, I mean I chased last night,
but I hit, and so.

Speaker 3 (23:28):
Yeah, we're getting back good times.

Speaker 1 (23:31):
I thought Patrick Mahomes lowering his shoulder and to the
defensive back was kind of.

Speaker 3 (23:33):
A douchebag move.

Speaker 5 (23:34):
Really agreed.

Speaker 1 (23:35):
I like Patrick Mahomes a lot.

Speaker 3 (23:37):
I like the Chiefs.

Speaker 1 (23:37):
We're rooting for the Chiefs, for a Chiefs team. We are,
We're a Chiefs team, Kevin. That's money, yep.

Speaker 3 (23:42):
And they're playing the freaking Eagles Week two.

Speaker 5 (23:44):
That's gonna tak suck.

Speaker 3 (23:45):
But the Cowboys almost beat the Eagles. So there's hope. No,
there's not.

Speaker 1 (23:48):
The Cowboys had played an Eagles defense o their best
player and the Chiefs lost there maybe number one receiver, yes, but.

Speaker 3 (23:58):
I thought, well, why why is that a douche?

Speaker 1 (24:00):
I'm going to tell you because these these defensive backs
linebackersn't matter who the defensive players are conditioned to. If
a quarterback's running out, let up because they're going to
get a penalty. And so he was letting up and
Mahomes like, I don't think so wat nails them. It
was almost like a defenseless defensive player. Yeah, because he
was letting up. Yeah, And Mahomes lowered the shoulder and

(24:20):
I was like, not a good look.

Speaker 3 (24:21):
Did not like that?

Speaker 1 (24:22):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (24:23):
I thought the same thing. And then he did a
quick little flex.

Speaker 3 (24:25):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (24:26):
I was like, come on man, Yeah.

Speaker 1 (24:27):
If you're both going straightforward and you lower your shoulder,
good on you. They were running out and Mahomes more
than anybody because he does get the.

Speaker 3 (24:34):
Benefit of the call. Yeah. I did not like that.

Speaker 1 (24:37):
And it's hard because I like Patrick Mahomes. It's problematic.
He's non problematic, and I like non problematic awesome players.
And I also like awesome players who get hated on
for no reason because they're non problematic, so I continue to.

Speaker 5 (24:49):
Root for them.

Speaker 3 (24:50):
That makes sense, thank you. So I have that a
lot going on your head there. I got more too.

Speaker 1 (24:56):
I did, and I wrote immediately on Twitter when it happened.
And so I'm still getting people that disagree with me
a lot about this and not leave it up.

Speaker 3 (25:04):
I don't care.

Speaker 1 (25:05):
But so the Phillies super Karen that went over and
took the ball from the kid. Yes, okay, so you've
probably seen the clip foul ball's hit. Dad runs over, it,
gets the ball, He goes like god, it gives it
to the kid. She runs over, goes, that's my baw.

Speaker 3 (25:19):
Takes the ball back.

Speaker 1 (25:20):
As soon as it was posted, I was like, okay,
she sucks. He's a whiss. Yeah, and everybody loses. And
then once the team was nice enough to see it
happen and give him all this. I came back and
I was like, hey, it looks like the team did
the right thing.

Speaker 3 (25:33):
It's awesome.

Speaker 1 (25:34):
The kid got a bat going to the World Series,
like all this stuff's happening. They got famous. But first
of all, she's awful because a home run ball, foul ball,
it's free game until it is in your possession. Even
if it's touching your hand, it's like bouncing around. It's
not yours until you hold it up about yeah, it's
not yours.

Speaker 3 (25:50):
Yep.

Speaker 1 (25:51):
So it was never her ball. He walked over immediately
grabbed it. It wasn't a thing where he's like scurrying, scuffling,
and then all of a sudden he has it. He
walks in and sees it, picks it up, takes it
over to his kid, and I'm like, that's awesome. That's
a good dad. I still think he's a good dad.
But she went over and got in his face. There
is no chance I would have given that ball to her.
That's letting a bully win. And I'm okay with a

(26:11):
bully winning if they can beat you up. So if
a bully came over, I was like, give me that ball,
and he was bigger than me.

Speaker 4 (26:20):
That little lady trying to bully me.

Speaker 1 (26:22):
I'm not gonna do anything to her. But I'm like, no,
we're good, go back to your seat. I'm just gonna
hold the ball. The fact that he went back into
his kid's glove and gave her the ball that sucked.

Speaker 5 (26:30):
Yeah, not a good look.

Speaker 1 (26:31):
It's not even a man, woman.

Speaker 3 (26:33):
It's just you let somebody who.

Speaker 1 (26:37):
Didn't have the ability to bully you bully you. It's
like when a mouse scares an elephant. Yeah, hey, elephant,
stop it. Do you know what she said to him, Yeah,
because the audio is now out there, it was like,
you took my ball or something like that, like that
was my ball.

Speaker 4 (26:51):
That was in my hand.

Speaker 3 (26:53):
That's that's terrible. So everybody lost.

Speaker 1 (26:56):
Now, in the end, the kid wins because the kid
they're going to the World's water.

Speaker 3 (27:00):
The ball too, they got, they get the whole thing.
That RV.

Speaker 1 (27:05):
Yeah, like the guy that's like an RV owner send
them of the world series gave an RV.

Speaker 3 (27:09):
Ended up being the greatest thing.

Speaker 1 (27:10):
And people online are like, see, that's what happens whenever
you give the ball up.

Speaker 3 (27:14):
To the lay.

Speaker 1 (27:14):
I'm like, no, no, no, this is a freaking incident.

Speaker 3 (27:16):
Where it became viral.

Speaker 1 (27:18):
So therefore people are like, oh, the auto something going
viral like that, not one in a million. But I
thought everybody sucked in that situation. I thought the lady
sucked the hardest and the worst. I thought the dad dude,
just say no, it's my ball, go back to your seat,
like no with my kid. He took the ball out
of his kid's glove and gave it to her.

Speaker 3 (27:37):
Crazy.

Speaker 5 (27:38):
It's embarrassing as the dead it's it sucks.

Speaker 1 (27:40):
Yeah, even if it was a woman, it doesn't matter
dad kid, woman. Man, if they can't beat you up,
they can't bully you, just go no. But in the
end it happened. So that was another note I made.
And we have stopped docks and People. Even though she
was a douchebag. Don't they misidentified her three times, said
she was the wrong person. People went to the wrong

(28:01):
people's accounts, trashing their account My goodness, even if they
were right the first time, don't be docks and people
for something like that. Yeah, that's not that's not run
someone's life mistake. That's you're a bad person. You're on
the internet and people that know you know. But you
don't have to put their name where they work.

Speaker 3 (28:18):
That sucks. It's almost criminal to like do more research
to find out more about it. And that's what they
were doing. They're like Internet, do your thing.

Speaker 1 (28:25):
And then they they said that they'd get a name
and they'd post it. It's so and so and she
has a hyphen and like, oh classics, they have a hyphen.
Of course, I bet she's woke. And that turns out
wasn't the right person.

Speaker 5 (28:36):
Terrible go.

Speaker 3 (28:37):
So that was another one on my list. Here uh,
here's another one.

Speaker 1 (28:41):
So this is the lady when they were talking about
the power Ball, and we do have a winner, so
it doesn't matter. But they were in Alabama and they
went to Susie Connery and they said, Susie, what would
you do if you won the Mega millions?

Speaker 3 (28:52):
Have you guta see this clip?

Speaker 1 (28:53):
No, no, I tell exactly what I'd do with the
first seventy million.

Speaker 5 (28:57):
I'd pay off Kaitlin to Boord and get him.

Speaker 1 (28:59):
The heck out of the University of Alabama.

Speaker 3 (29:01):
And then I'd take whatever else it took to get
rid of the ad. I'd give my church money. I
don't have much of what i'd have.

Speaker 4 (29:09):
You know, after paying my taxes, but I'm sure i'd
have plenty with this this kind of deal.

Speaker 1 (29:13):
But I know I'm not gonna win.

Speaker 3 (29:14):
I just hope I win some scratch offs. I just
do it for the pump.

Speaker 1 (29:17):
The news goes up to her and the first thing
she says is Caylen to Burrow, You're out of here,
Alabama coach.

Speaker 3 (29:22):
I'm buying you out. That's respect, that's Alabama fan.

Speaker 5 (29:27):
That's fantastic.

Speaker 3 (29:30):
So I have that. My other note I have.

Speaker 1 (29:33):
I was watching the Oklahoma Michigan game with my wife
and she was Broklahoma hard. But she still has like
sympathy for other players on the other team. Like when
the Michigan kicker misses it, She's like, oh, I hate
that for him, and I'm like yeah, She's like, it
doesn't matter, like I feel bad for him. He's already
different than everybody else on the team, yes, and now

(29:54):
he's different and he let him down.

Speaker 3 (29:57):
I mean, I like the human angle to her football watching. Yeah,
but I've never heard of that.

Speaker 1 (30:02):
And then I said, at one point there was like
a hard hit or something, and I was like, I
was like, yeah, I get up. I get it from that,
and she was like, do you understand that? What would
happen to you if you get hit like that? And
then you went on a whole five minute monologue about
how my body would explode from one single hit like that,
and she's like, you get hurt when you go to sleep.
Imagine if that happened to So I really opened myself

(30:23):
up to like next time to say internally, yeah, yeah, keep.

Speaker 3 (30:29):
It tears away always. So I think those are all
of my normal notes. Did you see the Buffalo fan
that was hitting Hopkins?

Speaker 1 (30:40):
Confused about that because I did see it. Now, I
missed all of it live, and I think if you're
watching it live, you probably still didn't catch it because
it was even the background of the shot.

Speaker 5 (30:48):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (30:49):
So I did see a zoom in on that fan
who hits Hopkins in the head, but he didn't hit
that hard.

Speaker 3 (30:53):
He's pushing his helmet like get out of here.

Speaker 5 (30:56):
Yeah, like kind of fun. Hopkins wasn't an it was
the one he pushed him.

Speaker 1 (31:00):
But he hits he hits Hopkins helm at first, ye, yes, yes,
and then LaMarsh you have to suspend Lamar for that.

Speaker 3 (31:06):
You have to.

Speaker 1 (31:10):
Yes, you have to suspend Lamar for that. It's hilarious.
But you can't. You can't touch fans. You gotta And
Lamar said it too, he was like, you gotta have
security do that. If he was, it's so funny. But
because you see Lamar in the background to shove the
fan down, if the fan was a threat to a player,
like a literal threat, it's okay. It's like if a
streaker runs down you think they may have a knife

(31:30):
or something. You can tackle that freaking streaker, take him down.
He wasn't a threat, So you can't hit the fans.

Speaker 3 (31:36):
Why does the fan have the right and I know
that he doesn't have the right the kick him ou
imediately they kick him out and stuff as a kid too, right,
Yeah he's young, Yeah he's fifteen older teenager okay maybe
so uh. You know, like fans love to like yell
at players, but we expect the players to do nothing back, right,
like not even talk back, even if a player turns
around and yells him like no peep. You like, they

(31:57):
get in trouble for that. Yeah, but it almost seems
like it's.

Speaker 1 (31:59):
Not bear you know, what's not fair that they get
They make thirty million dollars to go out and play
a game and they're supposed to have a little more tact.

Speaker 3 (32:06):
Okay, take that out of it.

Speaker 1 (32:07):
No, no, you can't take it out of it. It'd
be like if we got online to every commenter and
send them videos back and being like f you, f you.
Occasionally I'll mix up a little bit, but even then
it's not a good look.

Speaker 3 (32:19):
Like you're supposed to be bigger than that, right, I
understand that you've grown. Yes, Yeah, of course it's hard. Yeah,
I a caree hard when somebody use your helmet like
you just want to be.

Speaker 1 (32:27):
Like, that's wrong because he's been getting jacked all night
and the kid touching his helmet hit the kid should
not have hit touched his helmet like that. Yeah, but Lamark,
you can't go shoving fans.

Speaker 3 (32:40):
You can't.

Speaker 1 (32:40):
And it's hilarious.

Speaker 5 (32:41):
It's so funny.

Speaker 3 (32:41):
It's so funny.

Speaker 1 (32:42):
I'm not even mad about it, Like I think it's funny.
You can't do that. But I understand. But fans pay
their ticket to go and be a fan, and a fan.

Speaker 3 (32:51):
Is fanatic, But doesn't means yell whatever you want to them,
or touch.

Speaker 1 (32:56):
Them or push them y'all close to whatever you want.

Speaker 3 (32:59):
When they respond it's usually something bad.

Speaker 1 (33:01):
Yeah, yeah, but it's not a good look. You're supposed
to be above that because you've been able to grow
through that as a player. You played in high school,
you played in college, you're now at the NFL. I
gotta imagine it's like being a parent, right If you
get handed a twelve year old, you're like, I don't
know what I'm doing.

Speaker 3 (33:15):
But if you grow with it from baby on.

Speaker 1 (33:17):
Up, you have the skills, the growth through all those years.
Same with the players. There's an expectation on them because
of the place they're in and the money they're making.

Speaker 3 (33:27):
And there's a little bit of taunting, right like them
running along the side at Buffalo, A little like you're
kind of teaching, for sure. Pretty funny. Yeah, hilarious. You can't.
You can't do that.

Speaker 1 (33:39):
You can't push a fan unless there are a threat
to the other player. Again hilarious. I hope he doesn't
get suspended. I wish once a season, if you're a player,
one time of year, if a fan's really pissing you off,
you could challenge them.

Speaker 3 (33:51):
There we go. You got a card. You can use
it one you.

Speaker 1 (33:54):
Don't use it one time and see see if they
want to come take the challenge. They won't, and if
they don't, that's great, But then we get to see
in front of everybody how big of.

Speaker 3 (34:01):
A what they really are.

Speaker 1 (34:03):
One punch card, Well maybe to punch you know what
we're gonna do, Oklahoma drill?

Speaker 3 (34:08):
Yeah, awesome, you think you're such a big boy.

Speaker 1 (34:11):
Me and you, we'll put pads on you halftime of
the game one time.

Speaker 3 (34:16):
That'd be funny. But lamar, you can't be telling you. You
just can't.

Speaker 1 (34:20):
You can let your team down.

Speaker 3 (34:21):
It's why. It's just really what it is.

Speaker 1 (34:23):
You're letting your team down if you're not able to
play the next game. So, yeah, hilarious. I didn't see
it a live of those, So I just want a
clip five hundred times.

Speaker 3 (34:31):
No, I mean I think that happened during commercial break.
They had to go back and show it. Oh, is
that what it was? Yeah? Got it? Anything else you
want to mention? I feel like we kind of got
all the big stuff out there. It was just great.
Oh I do want to say something, Go ahead. I'm
proud of Nashville. It was so cool. Like I was
driving back from our basketball games and Tennessee was playing

(34:53):
and I stopped to get gas and there's a FedEx
truck driving into the gas station and you can hear
the game loud in his radio as he's delivering back
at this you just hear like, here, cam Moore's got
the ball, and I'm like, this is cool. He's listening.
Then I go inside to get whatever I was getting,
and the guy at the cashier is just like, come on, baby, God,

(35:14):
you gotta make that catch. And it was cool to
see the whole city just like around streams and the
radio listening to their home team play football. I just
hadn't seen that before. That was really really cool. It
felt like almost like old school a Week.

Speaker 1 (35:28):
One romance too, because I haven't lost a bunch of
games yet. True, I gotta imagine they go oh to
five that Week six romance not.

Speaker 3 (35:35):
Gonna be pure, right Yeah. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (35:38):
Also, they looked kind of bad, but there was just
some promise there, like cam Moore at times look like, oh,
this is it, he can do this.

Speaker 5 (35:44):
Their defense are good?

Speaker 1 (35:46):
How many drop balls though? He's he just kept dropping
those balls.

Speaker 4 (35:49):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (35:50):
I was like, dude, he needs you, Kim mooreton needs him.

Speaker 1 (35:52):
He needed anything, and really drops some bad balls a
decent game, but I think had a fumble too that
hurt well. I kept every time time he'd drop a ball,
I'd be like, drop it, like it's not what.

Speaker 3 (36:08):
I don't know what I call him? Who is collared?

Speaker 1 (36:13):
Every time Ridle would drop a ball or what I
call him?

Speaker 3 (36:16):
Oh CD, Yeah, it was very CDs. Yes, it's very
CDs like CD. Sorry, oh no, it's very upsetting.

Speaker 1 (36:27):
We talked about that coming up though the Cowboys.

Speaker 3 (36:28):
We do, we do.

Speaker 1 (36:29):
We actually recorded that after the game so we'd have
it for this show.

Speaker 3 (36:32):
You know, one of my neighbors left a sign on
my front door that said go Eagles. WHOA. And I'm
not public about it like that. I think my kids
they all wear Cowboys stuff, so they see the kids
playing football in the front, like, you know, we're in
Cowboys gear. But like, I'm not public around my neighborhood
how much I love. I don't have a flag waving
or anything. Do you know which neighbor it was? Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1 (36:52):
The only proper way to get back at them would
be spray paint their garage.

Speaker 3 (36:55):
Oh I love it with a big star, or.

Speaker 1 (36:57):
Like fake abduct their kid and throw them in the
back of the car, tape them up and cowboys a
cowboy hat in Jersey.

Speaker 3 (37:05):
Define what he did? Your kids do it.

Speaker 1 (37:10):
We're gonna come back with David Pollock in a second.
Don't let one bad leg haunt your parlay. Parlays turn
into payouts, and now even near misses won't haunt your bet.
The NFL season is here, and Draft Kings Sportsbook, an
official sports betting partner of the NFL, is rewriting the
rules with Ghost Leg, a new game changing promotion that

(37:32):
turns close calls into cold hard cash. Best of all,
it's available to all Draft Kings customers. Here's how it works.
You build any three plus leg pregame NFL parlay on Sunday,
you apply your ghost Leg token, and if one leg loses,
Draft Kings makes it vanish like it never existed, and
pays you out in cash for the rest. Last season,
over thirty million parlays were lost on a single leg.

(37:56):
This year, Ghost Leg gives those busted bets a second life.
No more busted parlays than haunt you all season. With
ghost Leg, the bad leg vanishes, the payout doesn't download.

Speaker 1 (39:08):
Now Let's go over to Georgia Bulldog Legend. Former NFL player,
current college football analyst David Pollack. David was two time
SEC Defensive Player the Year, first team All American, Georgia's
all time leader in sacks. The list goes on and on.
His career was cut short because of a severe neck injury,
but was a first round draft pick of the Bengals
in two thousand and five. You can listen to his podcast, Seball,

(39:30):
Get Ball, and follow him on social media at David
Pollock forty seven. Here he is, David Pollack, David, good
to see you.

Speaker 4 (39:37):
Man, Great to see brother. Thanks for having me out.

Speaker 1 (39:39):
A couple things. What's a Saturday like at your house?
Like this last Saturday?

Speaker 3 (39:42):
What's it like?

Speaker 4 (39:45):
Probably the laziest human in the world.

Speaker 6 (39:48):
I always wake up and make sure that I get
my workout in, you know, get some steps in because
the rest of the day is going to consist of
watching football, multiple screens and multiple games going. I got
my laptop in front of me taking notes of everything
that I see in the observations, and it's literally it's
a quick grind from from twelve o'clock to night time.

Speaker 4 (40:12):
It's like what just happened?

Speaker 6 (40:13):
It was it was fast and furious, but it's so
much dag im fun too. It's not like it's really working.
And think about this, man, Like my wife says, like,
what do you want to do?

Speaker 4 (40:21):
Something you want to do?

Speaker 6 (40:22):
Like, sorry, bet, I gotta work, Like I got to
sit here right on the couch and work.

Speaker 4 (40:25):
So it's a lot of consuming for sure.

Speaker 1 (40:28):
Do you still catch the West Coast games too? Or
is it bedtime?

Speaker 6 (40:31):
Oh god, no, we're catching them all, brother, Like, we're
not going to bed till, you know, till one or two.
I mean it's you know, I was up watching byu late,
you know, this past after this past Saturday, after everything
was commencing. Actually I'm sorry Sunday morning. So no, you
definitely stay up and watch as much as you can
to to make sure you're educated. There's some good football
out west man, Like it's fun to it's fun to

(40:53):
watch that and consume that as well.

Speaker 1 (40:55):
Can you watch NFL though, recreationally because you're watching college obviously,
because you're an expert. Can you watch NFL with a
little less attention?

Speaker 4 (41:04):
Man? I just try to. I try not to on Sundays.
I try to just get away from it.

Speaker 6 (41:09):
And we've got church and we've got you know, a
small group, and we've got other things, so it'll be
on like during the day at the end of the day.

Speaker 4 (41:16):
But now we.

Speaker 6 (41:16):
Definitely try to do more as a family and get
up and move a little bit more and do like
I love to play golf in the afternoon if I can,
if I can sneak that in.

Speaker 4 (41:25):
But now I can't watch any.

Speaker 6 (41:26):
Game like a normal like just sit back and relax
and watch like I'm definitely always looking at the game
from an analytical view, probably one of the only things
that won't turn my brain off.

Speaker 4 (41:37):
But NFL football is fun and different. And I've played.

Speaker 6 (41:40):
Fantasy for years and that's kind of changes the way
you look at the game. But this year I told
I committed. I said, I'm not watching for fantasy. I'm
not doing it. I'm not getting upset like I'm just
cheering my guy on. So I try to decompress a
little bit on Sundays after.

Speaker 3 (41:55):
You finished playing after your injury.

Speaker 1 (41:56):
And I have different friends that play different positions, and
their bodies did different things after they retired. Some of
them put on a bunch of weight, some of them
lost a bunch of weight. You played a position nowhere,
I'm not sure if you had to keep your weight
up or down because you played a very athletic position,
but it was on the line. What happened to you
physically after you stopped playing.

Speaker 4 (42:13):
Yeah, I was a chunky. I was a chunky monkey.
I always was growing up.

Speaker 6 (42:18):
And it's funny your identity gets you know, it's okay
when you're a football player to be thicker and be
bigger and so defensive lineman. I was two ninety two
at my heaviest. And you do, you're you're absolutely right.
You go one or two ways. You either keep the
habits you had and if you do, you're gonna keep growing,
or you start.

Speaker 4 (42:37):
To change the eating habits.

Speaker 6 (42:39):
And so I've definitely lost like fifty sixty pounds from
my top playing weight, and it's a different look. I
eat to survive. I'm not one of those persons that
has a lot of these like temptations and food like
I don't care where we go eat.

Speaker 4 (42:53):
I just I want to eat the same thing.

Speaker 6 (42:54):
I want to know what I'm eating, and definitely me
and my buddies when you go back to reunion, it's
you're a one hundred percent right, it's one or the other.
It's get really skinny and trim or it's put on
a little bit of weight and you look like you
played a totally different position.

Speaker 1 (43:10):
You said you work out every day before, Oh, you
try to work out every day, same with me, But
I assume our workouts are a bit different. Just looking
at us, I would think visually, So are you still
a guy who does heavy weight or how have you
changed your workouts?

Speaker 6 (43:23):
Yeah, I'm done with heavyweight, man, Like, heavyweight does nothing
for me. I'm not trying to have any more surgeries
or put my body through anything I don't need to.
Like I squatted almost seven hundred pounds in college, but like,
I'm not going over you know, two seventy five on
a squad now, and I'll just do twenty five reps bench.

Speaker 4 (43:39):
I'm not gonna do over two twenty five.

Speaker 6 (43:41):
I'll do twenty five to thirty reps if I need
to do twenty five to thirty reps, or I'll slow
it down big time. Like the other day we did
sets of ten and I did you know a five
count down with two twenty five hesitate and then come up. Well,
you do ten reps like that, it'll hurt, Like you
can make the weight hurt.

Speaker 4 (43:57):
So to me, it's more about moving fast. We're big
on the row machine.

Speaker 6 (44:02):
We're big on the bike, especially the assault bike, because
that thing will whip your Heini like, but it's definitely
a different way of training. I'm not trying to get
big and to have all this mass, you know as
we get older, trying to fight father time and continue
to be able to do some explosive things, but not
be like a big corn fed mule.

Speaker 4 (44:20):
I've had those days. Those days are gone.

Speaker 1 (44:21):
Let's get into the games this last Saturday. I want
to start with the Troy Clemson game. Like forever, I
was like, wait, what is even happening here?

Speaker 4 (44:29):
Clemson?

Speaker 1 (44:29):
You know obviously lost week one? What's happening over there?

Speaker 4 (44:33):
Man? Here's the thing.

Speaker 6 (44:34):
I'm gonna give Clemson a little bit of the benefit
of the doubt and say maybe, like, you know, because
Antonio Williams is their best receiver and it's not close.
He's their go to guy. So I'm giving them a
little benefit of the doubt and say like, Okay, you know,
he gets hurt first possession of the first you know,
first series, and they're still trying to figure out who
they are, Like that's their go to guy. It's built

(44:55):
through them, but it's not a surprise. They get down,
you know, thirteen at the half, and what do they do.
They come out in the second half and they pound
the rock. They had seventeen yards rushing. They beat that
in one play to start the second half. And they
got going downhill and they got more physical and then
they get three interceptions and the energy picks up. Westco Bryant.
Westco becomes the Guy Cavee club. Nick plays better, Like

(45:18):
I think they're going to continue to figure out who
they are, but it's definitely frustrating to watch as a
Clemson fan, Like you want that physical identity on offense
or some kind of identity that you can hang your
hat on, and through a couple of weeks, man, it's
been it's been very average, and that's not what you're
looking forward to.

Speaker 1 (45:34):
I watched a lot of the Texas game just to
see what Arch would do. It did look like he
was grimacing when he would throw. You think there's anything
to that.

Speaker 4 (45:42):
One hundred percent.

Speaker 6 (45:43):
You don't do that on purpose and you're never trying
to give anybody any ammunition. But you know, Arch didn't
play up to his potential in Week one and took
a giant step backwards, and you know, I don't know
if something's wrong with him, but I didn't see that
in Week one.

Speaker 4 (45:59):
I didn't see the grimaces.

Speaker 6 (46:00):
I saw some big time throws late in that football game,
but he definitely looked with the grimace like something was
a little bit wrong.

Speaker 4 (46:06):
And I got news for you.

Speaker 6 (46:08):
Anybody who's played football, you know, man, like you're healthy
this week one.

Speaker 4 (46:12):
And then throughout the season.

Speaker 6 (46:13):
It's just it's how do you mitigate, mitigate your body
and mitigate disaster and try to continue to be as
good as you can. But you're never going to be
one hundred percent again, Like it's just not going to happen.
But I hope he gets healthy. He's still got a
lot of maturing to do. Man, he needs reps. Like
he's got talent, yes, and he can make some big
time throws, but seeing it pulling the trigger, He's got

(46:34):
to continue to grow and get more efficient with that
if Texas wants to go win a national championship.

Speaker 1 (46:39):
I know we're bouncing around here, but I feel like
Florida fans are just being drugging with all different directions.
Like last year they started terribly, they really ended strong,
They give Napier a new contract and then he goes
out and loses it to South Florida, Like, what is
happening in Gainesville?

Speaker 4 (46:55):
Man?

Speaker 6 (46:55):
And I know those fans got to be because because
you were right in this spot a year ago and
negativity came. It was swirling and it was like time
to get rid of Napier. And then they get hot
and you saw DJ Lagway and you're like, that's a dude, man,
six three, two fifty.

Speaker 4 (47:08):
That's a quarterback to build around.

Speaker 6 (47:10):
And then the offense just kind of looks ugh, and
you score sixteen points against South Florida, Like it's it's
got to be frustrating.

Speaker 4 (47:17):
This team's got to do better the way they lost
to Man like last first, first two things.

Speaker 6 (47:24):
One, you get super conservative late in the game with
the lead and you run run, It's almost like you're
up by ten points and you give the football back
and they miss a field goal. And then you get
aggressive and you missed a few shots, which is okay
to be aggressive, but you've got to make plays and
you got to finish games out. Then what happens, like
how about the spit gate, Like you come and you

(47:45):
just saw Jalen Carter do the spit thing and it
didn't work out well for him, right, like gets kicked
out of the game.

Speaker 4 (47:49):
And then Brendan Bett does the same thing.

Speaker 6 (47:52):
It's a fifteen yard penalty to move them closer to
field goal range. So I mean you had eleven penalties,
you had two touchdowns called back. Like, if you're a
Florida fan, you're frustrating. You're tired of like shooting yourselves
in the foot, not playing up to potential.

Speaker 4 (48:06):
And they did it again this week.

Speaker 3 (48:07):
Man, what's up with the spit?

Speaker 1 (48:09):
Like we saw it twice in high profile situations. Did
did was that when you were playing with people spitting
on each other with big loogies.

Speaker 6 (48:18):
Bro, if you walk to lou yeah me, you're gonna
get it. You will get something back. I can promise
you that. Like that's not I mean, you saw Romanowski
do it back in the day, and I don't know,
I don't know what it is. But if you've seen
it now and you've seen the reaction, you're gonna get tossed.

Speaker 4 (48:32):
You're gonna cost your.

Speaker 6 (48:33):
Team, Like, we're gonna have to dial back the spit
for goodness sakes, Like go throw some hands or something
or push and shove like whatever that is needs to
go away, because there's I mean, there's not a lot
worse you can do than spit on someone, like literally
spitting on somebody that's not like, it's not gonna be tolerated.

Speaker 4 (48:49):
We gotta we gotta get rid of that. That's disgusting.

Speaker 1 (48:52):
I watched Any Given Saturday, the Netflix series, and I
really like Jeff Levy coming out of that. And my
family they're all massive, O you fans. I'm a Arkansas guy,
but you know, he went to school at Ou coach
at Ou obviously before he made his way back around
to be the Missippi Sate head coach. But it was
my firstal experience with like seeing the personality of Jeff Levy.
Obviously they had a massive game on Saturday night. Do
you know much about him?

Speaker 3 (49:12):
Do you like him?

Speaker 4 (49:13):
Yeah, Jeff's cool. Jeff's a cool cat.

Speaker 6 (49:15):
He's a I think he's a really good fit for
Mississippi State because it's his country. He wants to run
his offense a certain way in Mississippi State. Man, just
coming out the gates and how about the cow bells too?
Like you turn on that broadcast and your little your
ears are ringing, Like my ears were still ringing at
two am. It was just it's so loud and so
obnoxious in a good way, like it's a great thing.

(49:37):
And I think Levy to get that win because last
year it was it was a mess, right and you
saw the you still saw the care on that any
given Saturday. You still saw the way they cared against
Ole miss right late in the season.

Speaker 4 (49:49):
They still wanted to win. They were still fighting for
their coach. And I think it's it's easy to cheer
for a guy like that.

Speaker 6 (49:54):
His offense is as fun as exciting shape and played
pretty well. They made some big plays down the stretch
and I think, you know, Stark Vegas was rocking, And
that's that's one of those things, man, that you need
to buy in. You need a moment like at Georgia
my first year with coach Rick, the Georgia Tennessee game,
the Hobmail Boot game, like we went, Okay, we can

(50:14):
do this, Like we just we needed to prove it
to ourselves. And I think Mississippi State proving it to
themselves now. It's still got a tough schedule and a
lot of road to hoe, but like that will do
a lot for the locker room, for the belief, for
the trust in coach and and him building a future there.

Speaker 1 (50:29):
Those fans just picked up the goalpost on the way.
It was like they rushed the field, grabbed them and
they just took off running with it. It was like
shout out to Stark Stark building all those fans because
I've never seen goal posts come up so quick.

Speaker 6 (50:40):
They're they're trying to get rid of that in the sport,
like right, like not not let them do it, but
it is. That's that's the great thing about college man
storm the field, the emotion, the passion, like they're doing
the post game and everybody's in there so tight and
there's nowhere to there's nowhere.

Speaker 4 (50:54):
To not be seen. You can't even see grass. It
doesn't even look like a field.

Speaker 6 (50:57):
But yeah, I just want to know where they went
with it, because Start Vegas is small, baby, Like, I
know you didn't take it to the water, Like where
where do we.

Speaker 4 (51:04):
Where do we go and go plant our goalpost?

Speaker 1 (51:06):
Was there ever a game where they rushed it either
where you lost and it's just awkward and you're like,
oh man, these fans are everywhere or the opposite where
it happened, and you're like, man, this is crazy, like
we won and the fans are all down on top
of us.

Speaker 4 (51:18):
Well that's the thing.

Speaker 6 (51:20):
When you're a player that loses, you're pissed off and
you got all these people that they're not meaning to
but they're running into you like they're running on the field,
and they're they're kind of bumping with you, and you
literally want to lower your shoulder and eliminate a human
being out of your way cause you're you're upset right
like you're you want to take it out, but you know,
you know you can't do that, but it is it's

(51:40):
hard to keep your composure when that's when that's happening.
But when you're a student and that's happened for you,
like the passion and energy because because you get so
much like the dog walk at Georgia when I was there, man,
like to go through and watch these people's eyes and
to watch how much like passion they have, Like, man,
if it doesn't get you excited to, I don't know

(52:00):
what does.

Speaker 4 (52:01):
If they're that excited, you dang sure better be.

Speaker 6 (52:03):
And and the thing I always loved about Georgia, like
you can bark at another human be like a grown
adult can bark engine that's and that's socially acceptable. Like
I'm all in for that kind of culture, but I
can see how it could lead to some bad I'm
surprised we haven't had more of the other, like people
getting upset, people getting ran over, you know, because you're
you're literally running on the field with a bunch of

(52:24):
folks that are you know, not in the greatest of spirits,
that are sometimes angry and upset because they just lost.

Speaker 1 (52:30):
I mean, I think aligarette blunt. That was not a
positive one. When they ran down and they punched them.
I mean that that was a bad one. But yeah,
I think I would That's why I would react to
fans ran down and I lost.

Speaker 3 (52:39):
I do not think.

Speaker 1 (52:40):
I think i'mould be so triggered from losing that it
would not be a positive environment for me.

Speaker 6 (52:45):
Yeah, I mean, you're the emotions are not fun, Like
you're trying your best to be a good sport and
like shake hands and do that part, and then but
now you've got people running and bumping into you left
and right, Like, yeah, that's not going to bring out
the best most of the time in a human being.

Speaker 1 (53:00):
One other game I wanted to get your opinion on,
do you think Dan Lanning just kind of kept a
gas down against Oklahoma State after their comments this past week.

Speaker 6 (53:10):
One hundred percent that is exactly who Dan Lanning is. Like,
I love his postgame comments. He was like, listen, we
don't need extra ammunition to kick your arm, That's what
he said. But if you want to throw gas on
the fire, we're game. And he had him pissed, and
they scored. I watched the game again last night. I
was watching it before I went to bed, and like, literally,

(53:31):
I mean they scored twenty one before you getli they
scored fourteen in less than three minutes. I mean they
were just out the gate strong and then they ran
you know, reverse flea flicker when they're up by twenty
eight or thirty or in that spot. Like you know, listen,
you're looking for anything, You're looking for any edge, any
sign of disrespect. And so you know Van Gundy talking

(53:52):
about our Gundy, talking about the you know, the nil
and how they have so much money. I think what
Dan said in his head was like, okay, you know what,
I'm gonna beat you by a million dollars a point.

Speaker 3 (54:03):
How about that?

Speaker 6 (54:04):
Like I got this many million to spend on my team, Like, okay,
we beat you by fifty eight, so we spent.

Speaker 4 (54:10):
We spent thirty so we still beat you by more
than enough.

Speaker 1 (54:13):
Brother, Yeah, that was that was crazy in high school
for you? When did you become dominant? Ninth tenth grade?
When was it for you physically and mentally? That the
game was very easy?

Speaker 4 (54:22):
So my so my freshman year was okay.

Speaker 6 (54:27):
I was an offensive lineman, a little bit chubby, still
hadn't grown into my body. Actually, they asked me the
first day, like what position do you play? I was like,
you know, full back in the linebacker. They're like, not
with the six.

Speaker 4 (54:36):
Flat forty, you play offensive line.

Speaker 6 (54:38):
And then my second year I got a little bit better,
but I was stuck between JV and varsity and I
actually quit. I was like, bro, this sucks. Like football
is hard enough and not playing isn't cool. And then
between my sophomore and junior year, I grew six inches
and gain sixty pounds. And I don't know if you
know this, but like football is a lot more fun
when you're the hammer and not the nail, Like it
just makes a lot more sense. Obviously, my junior year

(55:01):
started to have success, started to get recruited a little bit.
But I'll never forget man. Before my senior year, my coach,
I had a brand new coach. He calls me into
his office and he's like, hey, man, and I had
offers from Georgia, Clemson, like Ohio State and company going
into my senior year. He was like, if we're going
to be a great team, I need you to be
the best player on the field every single play. And

(55:21):
I'm like, I'm your best player, like, you know, a
cocky punk at that age. And he put on like
six clips in a row of me kind of jogging
to the football and I was like, oh my gosh,
like he's not wrong, Like that's really that's lazy. And
I started practicing like an animal. I started flying around
and he helped me see something in myself that I

(55:41):
didn't see and it took away that blind spot and
showed me I needed to really really work and then
I became a really, really good football player.

Speaker 4 (55:49):
You know, my senior year of high.

Speaker 3 (55:50):
School, why Georgia, what was it?

Speaker 6 (55:52):
This is the simplest answer you've asked yet. My baby doll,
Lindsey Pollock. That was that was that was their best.
That was the feather in the cap of Georgia. My
dad grew up My dad grew up up north. He
was a Giants fan. We didn't pay attention to much
college football. Moved down south when I was four, so
we watched NFL, not college. But when I started getting recruited,
I started seeing all the atmospheres. I was like, this
is dope. But my baby doll, Lindsay Pollock, my only girlfriend,

(56:16):
the only girlfriend I've ever.

Speaker 4 (56:17):
Had now my wife.

Speaker 6 (56:18):
Like, I drove to Gainesville, Florida with Steve Spurrier and
I was like, oh my gosh, that's forever away, you know,
from her. And so being fifty five minutes down the
road right there in Athens was like, yeah, that'll work.

Speaker 1 (56:31):
You have your seaball get Ball signed behind you. So

what are we gonna hear on that podcast?

Speaker 4 (56:40):

Speaker 6 (56:41):
I love college football with everything in me and right
now with our season of life and my wife, like
a lot of people know, she got diagnosed with brain cancer,
and like, so your your priorities and your travel and
your schedule is a lot different. So like television absolutely
not going to be a thing, but like football is
so fantastic and so great, and that's literally what you're
gonna do. I have my buddy, that's my neighbor on

(57:02):
the podcast with me, who works for Pro Football Focus
and has all the numbers.

Speaker 4 (57:06):
But like we come to you, you know, four days

Speaker 6 (57:08):

everybody else's. We're gonna watch a lot of tape and
just I mean, it's football, it's college football. It's the
best there is and so just having that and being
able to follow it and talk about it is something
that I enjoy and I just can't imagine life without it.
And that's what you'll get several days a week on

Speaker 1 (59:33):
So before all the games happen on Friday night, Saturday
and Sunday, I want to make sure we capture the
moment for the Thursday night game. So we recorded this
after the Thursday night game, and so Eddie, dude, how
about them cowboys?

Speaker 3 (59:48):
How about them cowboys? Like we had a game? Why
do celm? Why can he catch? I don't remember this,
of course I remember it. I remember him doing this
last year too. At the beginning of the season. We're like,
what's he doing? Like he's dropping these easy passes that
that hurt. Like I didn't go into this game thinking
that we were gonna win it, so it helped that

(01:00:10):
it was just a four point game. But at the
end of that game, I really thought that we could
win that game.

Speaker 1 (01:00:18):
You could have won the game had made that first catch.

Speaker 5 (01:00:20):
Yeah, I agree.

Speaker 1 (01:00:21):
The second was a little harder. But you're an NFL player.
You can't make that catch.

Speaker 3 (01:00:23):
That's what I said Fallins where it's like oddsign, I wouldn't.

Speaker 1 (01:00:26):
He's just a nice guy. He's just a nice guy, bro.

Speaker 3 (01:00:28):
He's got to catch that. Yeah, you gotta make that catch.

Speaker 1 (01:00:30):
You really got to make that. I mean, actually he
dropped three balls basically. That second one, though, was a
game change. You're in a flip to field, they'd have
been inside the thirty yard line.

Speaker 3 (01:00:39):
Is that the one that hit his helmet? I mean
there was one one that he was running like a post. Okay,
that's not it. There was another one where it went
right through his hands, hit his helmet, almost pitched.

Speaker 1 (01:00:47):
Oh, that was another one. That was that first one.

Speaker 5 (01:00:49):
The last one was tough though, right the diving one,
it's like, yeah, okay.

Speaker 2 (01:00:51):
But the other two for sure again you're but the
other two like for sure, yes.

Speaker 1 (01:00:56):
But even the third one like that, it's also the
play you have to make. You have to make that
place for it. Fourth down. Yeah, it was like fourth
and two or three and he throws that. So let's
go back to the beginning of the.

Speaker 3 (01:01:05):
Game, which was awesome. I mean, that's the way to
start a game, have Dalen Carter spit on your quarterback
and get ejected. Dude, when that happens. When that happened
and they say he's out of the game, I'm like,
oh my gosh, that is the best birthday gifts we've
ever gotten. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:01:21):
It was crazy because and Kevin wasn't even watching. We
were on a text. Started Kevin like, wait what happened?
And I said, I said, first of the Jaalen hurts,
I meant Jayleen Carter, I said, Jalen hurts a spin
on Dak and he's out of the game, which which
is a lot crazier, a lot crazier. The two quarterbacks
are fighting, Yes, but then I was like sorry, Jayleen Carter,
And even then you were like, wait, what that's crazy.
How do you feel about the tape now of Dak spitting?

Speaker 3 (01:01:42):
First, dude, Dak is spitting on the ground, which is like, okay,
it's a little motion towards like yeah, screw you, but
it's not spitting your face. Like Dalen Carter walks right
up and goes uh oh boom right on your jersey.

Speaker 1 (01:01:57):
Yeah, you're a Cowboys fan, so you do have bias now, bously,
I agree with you. Yeah, it's not the same.

Speaker 5 (01:02:03):
No, not at all.

Speaker 1 (01:02:05):
If Jalen Carter wanted to, didn't you spit back on
the ground near his feet? If you really, you don't
walk Yeah, I.

Speaker 3 (01:02:13):
Hear you, big. You don't walk up.

Speaker 1 (01:02:15):
You're the only green jersey walking up to the entire pile.
And it was a loog a big one yes and
whistle flag out. I didn't know that was automatic ejection
me neither.

Speaker 3 (01:02:29):
Yeah. Crazy.

Speaker 1 (01:02:30):
And they were calling other like tawning a lot of
times in the NFL too early in the season. They
really set the precedent for what they're going to focus
on all year to give everybody an idea, and they
go a little overboard pretty much every year at something
to go, We're not taking this bull crap. So it's
sometimes past interference. Sometimes it's you know, uh, what do
they call officially? Was it as no, no, no, no,

(01:02:54):
this flyder?

Speaker 3 (01:02:55):
Oh gosh, what's it called?

Speaker 5 (01:02:58):
Not a personal foul?

Speaker 1 (01:02:59):
It was a person a foul, but it was whatever
it was. They want to make sure that people aren't
acting a fool.

Speaker 3 (01:03:05):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:03:06):
Yeah, So I mean, as of this moment, we don't
know if he's going to be like suspended for a
game or they could just just too Yeah, but they
I wouldn't be surprised if they completely be like, oh,
you's got one more game just to be like, you
know what, guys were not.

Speaker 3 (01:03:18):
I think it's too much. That's too much. It is
a loogi. He lost this whole game.

Speaker 5 (01:03:21):
This was the This was the true It was a
whole game.

Speaker 3 (01:03:23):
He didn't play once. Yeah, just just losing this game
before it even starts or not being able to play is.

Speaker 1 (01:03:29):
Bad, pretty bad. And it was just points points points.
It was like seven on seven. They couldn't stop either side.

Speaker 3 (01:03:37):
It was like a rocky fight, you know, boom boom,
back and forth. The one drive where we couldn't score
the touchdown, we settled for three. That's kind of like
what put us this first half.

Speaker 5 (01:03:46):
Yeah, and the fumble Miles Sanders.

Speaker 1 (01:03:48):
Oh at the end right before, right before though, that
was brutal. That was brutal. And again you were close.
You were like in the inside the thirty maybe the twenty.

Speaker 5 (01:03:56):
Yeah, you guys are right there. Big play. He just
had that big play and then that happens.

Speaker 3 (01:03:59):
Like, so after game one, what do you think, very please,
really very played awesome by Jack Preston.

Speaker 5 (01:04:11):
It's live me in the moment now. But that was
like the best game of and its stats were whatever,
but he just looked awesome.

Speaker 3 (01:04:16):
Great. I'm a little concerned about our defense. Obviously, we're
playing the Eagles amazing run game, Like you got a
quarterback that's pretty much a running back, Like it's hard
to stop that. But there were somewhere like it was
trying to catch a weasel, like they just couldn't make tackles.
A little concern about.

Speaker 1 (01:04:32):
The especially the first half, because they were not trying
to get to Jalen Hurts right, and they would try
lightly and they wouldn't. Jalen Hurts is really really, really good. Really,
the fact that people are like he's just a game
manager is insane.

Speaker 3 (01:04:48):
Yeah, and I think our secondary did great. There weren't
any looks. They never Jalen Hurts never really threw the ball.
I mean maybe through the ball a handful of times,
but that says really good things about secondary.

Speaker 1 (01:04:59):
You're right because a lot of his running was whenever.
The coverage is really good, and both of the touchdowns
where everybody was covered up and he had to run
and there was another long run.

Speaker 5 (01:05:10):
Yeah, I feel like they could have used like a
spy like especially that forced down.

Speaker 1 (01:05:16):
Well, just in general. Even Collins was like, they're gonna
spy him here. It was like the Eagles was like
fourth down to in the game and jald Hurts end
up running for six yards and get the first down.
They were like they should spy him, and then they didn't,
and it's just wide it was just wide open and
came over. Mike, you're a Cowboys fan.

Speaker 3 (01:05:30):
Your thoughts.

Speaker 8 (01:05:31):
First time I've really seen it look like a team
like dak even on the sideline, like pumping everybody up.
It just felt like he was really commanding.

Speaker 3 (01:05:38):
His mustache, like pretty cool. It did. Man good, he's bigger.
He's bigger too. They had a shot of him in
the locker room before without a shirt. I'm like, dang, dude,
I didn't see that has been where'd you find that at?
I don't know they shout it on TV. I didn't know.

Speaker 1 (01:05:50):
I make it so you could like puck at it.

Speaker 3 (01:05:52):
And his arms, his arms looked big. Dude, just spit
on it. Stop. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:06:00):
The Cowboys look pretty good. Yeah, Dak looked really good.
They didn't really throw at George Pickens much.

Speaker 3 (01:06:05):
They did.

Speaker 1 (01:06:05):
They threw at Ceedeelamba a lot, and he had a
great game. But man drops it completely changed the game.
They probably win that game if he makes that second
catch they dropped.

Speaker 3 (01:06:17):
Yeah, yeah, the third.

Speaker 1 (01:06:19):
If he makes that third catch, the game continues. But
ballz to also go, you know on a streak fourth
and three. Yeah, because it was there and it was
a good throw.

Speaker 5 (01:06:29):
It was good. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:06:30):
And I love a running game too. I didn't know
what to think of Williams, but man, we got a
running back hopefully.

Speaker 1 (01:06:36):
I mean he he is coming off an injury.

Speaker 5 (01:06:37):
How about our boy Cooper bebe bb Man. They were
giving him a lot of love last night.

Speaker 1 (01:06:41):
Yeah, so your official Dallas Cowboys thought. This is Friday morning,
we're recording this is I.

Speaker 3 (01:06:47):
Love what I saw and I'm so excited now. I
feel like we're a contender in the NFC East, which
is crazy. I haven't seen the Commanders yet, but I
feel like we're a contender.

Speaker 1 (01:06:58):
Even though their best player was out of the game.
You still feel good about that. Yeah, it does make
you feel a little more hesitant on saying working tender.

Speaker 3 (01:07:05):
No, no, dude, I loved what I saw from Dak Prescott.
The offense just looked dynamic. Turpin, the smallest guy in
the NFL. Yeah, they were.

Speaker 1 (01:07:15):
They were getting him the ball in places. Also, they
weren't kicking in the ball. Yeah, Like when they punted
the ball, they weren't give him a chance.

Speaker 3 (01:07:22):
That's amazing to me, just the Turpin has survived in
the NFL, Like, I feel like, you feel like you
can do it. He gives you, He gives all this
little guys hope. I just feel like three years ago
when he joined the team, it's just like this is cute,
you know, like he's a good little kick returner, like
good punt returner.

Speaker 1 (01:07:38):
But now that's what the coaches said. Guys, let's look
at this turping guy, Mark, what do you think.

Speaker 8 (01:07:42):
I'm cute, He's cute, fast little guy.

Speaker 3 (01:07:45):
But dude, he's They've they figured out a way to
put him mix in the mix of the team running
and he can actually do it. It's cool. I'm excited.

Speaker 5 (01:07:55):
Man.

Speaker 3 (01:07:55):
Who do you play next week? Do you know? Oh?
The Giants, Let's go.

Speaker 5 (01:08:00):
That's good, it's a winnable game.

Speaker 1 (01:08:01):
You'd think, yes, absolutely, Man, this guy has changed in
the course of two weeks from I'm not watching the games.

Speaker 3 (01:08:09):
They've lost me to what he is now, smiling ear
to ear. You have a new habby Micah who? Okay,
who's Micah Parsons.

Speaker 1 (01:08:19):
Well, we don't know how he played or if he
played on Sunday. Yeah, so that would be a predible man.

Speaker 3 (01:08:24):
What did you guys think though, Like, what what did
you think?

Speaker 1 (01:08:26):
As far as like I just had bet the Cowboys
plus eight and a half, So all my thought was,
I hope a bunch of listeners jumped in because I'm
up to this point right now, I'm hot, So I
was like, hope they jumped in because I'm probably can
tell a.

Speaker 3 (01:08:37):
Lot of the good things fifty nice. Yeah, do you
guys bet it? Of course?

Speaker 5 (01:08:42):
No, what you want to believe it?

Speaker 3 (01:08:45):
I know.

Speaker 5 (01:08:48):
The big thing was, like you guys said, I wasn't
there in the beginning. I didn't have my phone on me, but.

Speaker 3 (01:08:52):
We did it during the show. Yeah, I know, you can.

Speaker 5 (01:08:55):
I go from one thing to the other. My you know,
the mind just goes excuses. Yeah, I know, honestly.

Speaker 3 (01:09:01):
Yeah, and you don't forget the fact like, ooh, did
you feel like the Cowboys could cover No? Follow your boy.
He's not a heater.

Speaker 1 (01:09:06):
Okay, right now, it's hot, I agree, and it's probably
gonna get cold real soon.

Speaker 3 (01:09:11):
I mean, that's the trend. Really.

Speaker 1 (01:09:12):
Yeah, that's why I don't want to mess up the
heater is what it is. You won't mess up the heater.
I do have college football's best rivalry nicknames. These are
rivalry games. Which way do you want to do it?
Because I can give you. I'll tell you what the
name is.

Speaker 3 (01:09:27):
You tell me the two teams in it. Okay.

Speaker 1 (01:09:30):
For example, man, there's a lot of good ones. Okay,
this is the easiest one. Probably this is gonna be
hard for Medlam.

Speaker 5 (01:09:41):
Bedlam home in Oklahoma State.

Speaker 3 (01:09:43):
Yeah, now we were playing against each other, we weren't
playing together. Oh but yes, I was going to guess
Oklahoma Oklahoma State. Oh you aren't, you aren't. What is Bedlam?

Speaker 1 (01:09:52):
It's the it's the game okay of Oklahoma Oklahoma State.
And it's not even they don't have played it anymore.

Speaker 5 (01:09:57):
I honestly, I was gonna say, I don't they ever
heard it? I just figured, oh Bedlam Coahoma. Oh really
that's how it hit me. Yeah, that's why I thought
about it.

Speaker 3 (01:10:03):
Nice. Okay, so we'll do five of these. See how
you guys do?

Speaker 5 (01:10:08):
Okay, and we gotta say her name is first.

Speaker 3 (01:10:10):
No, just write it down.

Speaker 5 (01:10:11):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (01:10:12):
I think Kevin, I think you're gonna kill him. Oh,
I'm sure of it. Catholics versus convicts? What I'm in
necessary roughness? Catholics versus convicts? Got it? Eddie Notre Dame

(01:10:35):
Penn State. Close. It just happened, Kevin, Notre Dame Miami.
It just happened. Oh why why is my aunt? Why
are they the convicts?

Speaker 1 (01:10:43):
Because they got a bunch of trouble. All those guys
will get back in the day bad boys. Okay, that's one.
How about the Iron Bowl?

Speaker 5 (01:10:52):
Mm hmmm, yep, mm hmmm, I'm.

Speaker 3 (01:10:56):
Ready got it Eddie Ohio statement chicken, Kevin.

Speaker 5 (01:11:04):
Auburn Alabama. I thought you would know that one.

Speaker 3 (01:11:08):
Why why is it the Iron Bowl? Do you watch sports? Yeah? Ud,
I guess I'm not catching all these names that they
call these. It's not new. The iron Ball is like
one of the Vegas. Why why the why? Alabama Auburn Iron?
Don't know why it's called the Iron Bowl. I'm never
sure you could get that one. The egg Bowl, boy,

(01:11:30):
already hold on the egg bowl, the egg battle, the eggs, Mike.

Speaker 1 (01:11:38):
Can you find out why it's called the Iron Bowl?
And the egg bowl would be good for me to learn.

Speaker 5 (01:11:40):
Yeah, I've never looked it up because it has to
do with the industrial Center of Iron in Alabama in Birmingham.

Speaker 3 (01:11:50):
Got it? Industrial? Okay, egg Bowl?

Speaker 5 (01:11:53):
Let's go eggball?

Speaker 3 (01:11:55):
Yeah, Eddie U C L a U USC.

Speaker 1 (01:12:00):
And why would you think that for the egg bawl?
Like where did your mind go?

Speaker 3 (01:12:03):
Man? Just la rivalry? You know, like but the ad
sunny l a sunny side up Sonny eggs Kevin Ole
miss in Mississippi State.

Speaker 8 (01:12:13):
Correct, because of the trophy is a golden football on
the top of it looks like a golden egg.

Speaker 3 (01:12:19):
Oh cool, that's cool.

Speaker 5 (01:12:20):
That's better than that industry.

Speaker 3 (01:12:22):
You know, I'm figuring out the context clues doesn't really
work in this game.

Speaker 1 (01:12:25):
Well, it's not so much abu context, it's just have
you watched sports, say a bunch because again, I don't know.
I didn't know why it was called the egg ball.
I just watched it a bunch of times. Yeah, Okay,
the world's largest outdoor cocktail party.

Speaker 3 (01:12:37):
Okay, I know this one. You do?

Speaker 5 (01:12:39):
Are you sure?

Speaker 3 (01:12:39):
Really? No, I'm not sure, but I have a guess.
I'm rooting for you.

Speaker 5 (01:12:43):
The world's largest outdoor in cocktail party.

Speaker 3 (01:12:54):
Mm hmm, man, I might get him on this one.

Speaker 5 (01:13:03):
Yeah, I don't. I don't know this one, Kevin. I'm
gonna guess LSU Alabama.

Speaker 3 (01:13:09):
No, uh, kind of close ish, but no, Eddie Ole
miss Mississippi State. Gosh, was that close?

Speaker 1 (01:13:16):
Yeah, you're really close to the last answer egg bowl
we just did. Yeah, you're really close because that's the
last question we had that.

Speaker 3 (01:13:23):
Old miss They made those drinks like hatty Toddies.

Speaker 1 (01:13:27):
Even if you thought that. The last question was.

Speaker 3 (01:13:29):
Ole Miss, Is it o Miss someone else?

Speaker 1 (01:13:31):
No, it's Georgia, Florida, and they play that game. They
meet in the middle, played.

Speaker 8 (01:13:39):
Them, Oh my massive tailgating. Oh that's every No, but
they play it in a different city.

Speaker 3 (01:13:47):
It's a neutral site.

Speaker 5 (01:13:48):
Yeah, okay.

Speaker 3 (01:13:48):
And then ole Miss was an egg bowl.

Speaker 5 (01:13:52):
In Jacksonville.

Speaker 3 (01:13:54):
Okay, what else you got?

Speaker 6 (01:13:56):
Man?

Speaker 3 (01:13:56):
That was That's embarrassing. I'm waiting for the Red River rivalry. Well,
you used to be called the rudder for shootout. Yeah,
that doesn't where I can do that one. But that
is Yeah, we're not doing that one. I heard someone though,
one of the commentators, and me like, I don't care.
I'm gonna call it the shoot anyway. Because I called
the shoot.

Speaker 1 (01:14:12):
I'm like, okay, dude, Oh you're so brave commentator.

Speaker 3 (01:14:16):
Whatever. Man, the Border war, that's gonna be South Texas.

Speaker 1 (01:14:22):
This one was played this past weekend as a hint, uh,
this past weekend is the It hasn't happened yet for
us because we recorded this on Friday after the Cowboys game,
So for us it's tomorrow, but for everybody listening, it
was this past weekend.

Speaker 3 (01:14:37):

Speaker 5 (01:14:51):

state and Ohio state or Ohio state, Yeah, Ohio, bobcast Eddie.

Speaker 3 (01:15:08):
Yeah, this is a border war, right, so it's gonna
go down to South Texas l Pas. You're thinking like
Mexico and America. Yeah, like the wall border.

Speaker 1 (01:15:17):
Dude, there is a border war down there, Yeah, for sure,
but not it.

Speaker 3 (01:15:22):
It is Kansas, Missouri.

Speaker 5 (01:15:24):
Oh, I didn't even know they're playing this week.

Speaker 3 (01:15:27):
Close.

Speaker 1 (01:15:28):

Speaker 3 (01:15:50):
So you're just guessing. No, no, what is it? What's
it called farmageddon? There's nothing but farms out there.

Speaker 1 (01:15:54):
No, No, but you're just guessing. I thought you would
know it. Oh, I've never heard of that, Kevin.

Speaker 5 (01:15:57):
Yeah, I mean I'm gonna guess Iowa, Iowa state.

Speaker 1 (01:16:00):
It happened already. It was Iowa state, Kansas state. It
was in this year. It was in Ireland where there
are no farms. Well, no, no, they played that one
in Dublin. But Farmageddon happens every year. It's never been
in Dublin before. Just this year it was in Dublin.

Speaker 3 (01:16:14):
Did they call it Farmageddon?

Speaker 1 (01:16:15):
Yes, in Dublin they did because that's the name of
the game. It's the two schools where they are is
why it's called Farmagon. It's not played on a farm.
It's not Field of Dreams.

Speaker 5 (01:16:22):
That would be cool, though, that would be cool.

Speaker 3 (01:16:25):
I see there's anything else. Yeah, give me an easy one, dude.

Speaker 1 (01:16:28):
You can just yell it out if you know it. Ok.

Speaker 3 (01:16:30):

They still call it that.

Speaker 1 (01:16:53):
Well, it doesn't have to be about this Civil war.
There are many civil wars. It's like Capital C Civil War.
I no, man, but one guy was calling the rhetor
of a rider with the shootout because I believe it
Paul Bunyan's acts.

Speaker 3 (01:17:05):
Oh, hold on, Steven f Austin, Get a boy, Get
a boy. Nah Oh, Boise State.

Speaker 1 (01:17:17):

Speaker 3 (01:17:27):
I'm gonna get one. I don't have any more. Oh
that's it. We're done.

Speaker 1 (01:17:30):
I mean there's a one hundred. But you're not going
to know any of these. And I say that because
I wouldn't have known. I've never heard of some of these.
The Butt Bowl, What the heck? I know we would
definitely know that if we heard it.

Speaker 3 (01:17:39):
The Butt Bowl.

Speaker 1 (01:17:40):
It's Baylor, Texas Tech. Oh, never heard of that Battle
for the Bones.

Speaker 5 (01:17:46):
Bobby Bull.

Speaker 3 (01:17:47):
I know that's Arkansas versus Arkansas States.

Speaker 4 (01:17:49):
It is not.

Speaker 1 (01:17:51):

like ribs on the trophy. I've seen this one. It's
Memphis versus U A B because alib Oh yeah, barbecue
ball the game. That's Alabama, LSU, Ohio State, Michigan.

Speaker 5 (01:18:07):
That's what.

Speaker 1 (01:18:09):
I don't know these. I didn't even know that one
was called the game. Let me see again.

Speaker 3 (01:18:14):
Hey, give me the Battle of the Boot. I know
that one. Yeah, that's not on here. Arkansas l s U.
We're on their side. I said, what it was Keg
and nails. Keg and nails.

Speaker 5 (01:18:22):

Bears, Big game, big go Bears, Go Bears. I love
the Bears. They probably won't win, but go Bears.

Speaker 1 (01:19:29):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (01:19:29):
Yeah, it was fun. So Arkansas plays all missed this week?

Speaker 5 (01:19:32):
Well yeahs, I don't know, we're too no, but we
haven't played anybody.

Speaker 1 (01:19:37):
It's fun to like have a little excitement for no
reason because we had no excitement going into the season
and we thought we'd win those first two games, so
there's not real reason to have excitement now.

Speaker 3 (01:19:48):
But but there is. We're like, oh, we.

Speaker 1 (01:19:49):
Might be able to do this, even though we expected
to win those first two games. We're like, huh, we
might have a little something.

Speaker 3 (01:19:55):
I think we had.

Speaker 1 (01:19:57):
So I don't know if I'm gonna go down to Oxford
or not.

Speaker 3 (01:19:58):
It's only four hours something bout at all. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:20:01):
So, and then Memphis is the next week. We'll go
to that because at iHeart in Vegas, they in Arkansas.

Speaker 3 (01:20:07):
They're at Memphis, which is weird. And then Notre Dame
comes to Arkansas and I will get that one.

Speaker 1 (01:20:12):
That'd be well, No, I mean the big one is
gonna beat this week if we win this one, natural championship.

Speaker 5 (01:20:17):
Baby, that pinky's coming off.

Speaker 3 (01:20:19):
It sound like a Cowboys.

Speaker 1 (01:20:20):
