What's happening in the nineties.
Speaker 2 (08:43):
Two?
Speaker 3 (08:43):
There's a list, and you know how we love our
list here on the show, a list of the ten
nineties TV shows that have changed the world. Now, I'm
not gonna go over all ten of them, but I
will give you the top five on the list.
Speaker 2 (08:54):
They say The X File is coming in at number five.
Speaker 3 (08:56):
Seinfeld, which I think is an awful show never thought
of was funny. Of course, that show turned nothing into
something and changed TV comedy forever. Buffy The Vampire Slayer
coming in number three. Number two was Friends on the List,
which of course a global phenomenon that redefined the modern sitcom,
and number one on the list of nineties TV shows
(09:17):
that changed the world, The Simpsons.

Of course, it.
Speaker 3 (09:20):
Reshaped comedy, animation, and pop culture as we know at
the I mean, well, the TV show The Simpsons still
on today and also predicting the future. I wonder if

when they first started in the nineties. Probably not your
chance to win your way into our iHeartRadio Music Festival.
We got a keyword for you to text in a
win in just minutes after nickelback. It is that magical

in school. Christian, my oldest, started school yesterday. Liam started
school last Monday, and let me tell you, it has
been a glorious thing of being able to go home
(10:19):
yesterday after the show and take a nap and piece.
I didn't have them both yelling and screaming because they
well want to fight each other, and then yell at
each other.
Speaker 2 (10:29):
Because they're playing video games.
Speaker 3 (10:30):
It's been fan fantastic having a little bit of peace
and quiet.
Speaker 2 (10:34):
And I know a lot of other parents are thinking
the same thing.
Speaker 3 (10:36):
We got a lot of free time between now seven
and three o'clock. But let's be real for a second.
The first day of school never really smooth, right. Somebody
forgets their lunch, someone wears a shirt backwards. If you're
my kid, you forget to put gas in the truck.

to class stinging it's still summer and has no idea

Years ago, I always wanted a black trans am with
te tops, so I bought one, and my son loved
it so much. He wanted me taking the school all
the time, and he wanted me to take the tee
tops out. It was the middle of January, cold as
could be. I took the tee tops out. We're jamming
out to some tunes full up at the school.
Speaker 5 (12:18):
One of his teachers come out.
Speaker 6 (12:20):
She knew that I was single, that his mom and
I had divorced, and she come home to me and
I ended up getting a date out of the whole
thing on his first day of school.
Speaker 2 (12:29):
Well how about that?
Speaker 3 (12:31):
And I'm sure he got good grades all things to
his dad, right, Oh he did.
Speaker 6 (12:36):
He got real good grades in that class. And it
was all because his dad was a flirt.
Speaker 2 (12:43):
Hey, you know what, it worked, right, He passed the class,
so that's all that mattered.
Speaker 6 (12:48):
It did work.

You got a crazy back to school story for us?
Speaker 4 (13:30):
I do. Uh.
Speaker 5 (13:31):
It goes way back to when I first started high
school at Franklin frank to high school. I went from
I went from junior high to the high school and
it was like a major, major change. It was so
much bigger. Well, one of my classes, I want to
say it was drafting, I'm not sure. I fell asleep
in the room, uh huh, And when I woke up,
(13:52):
the next period was already in there, nobody about her
to wake me up. I woke up but around a
whole bunch of people I don't even know, and.
Speaker 4 (14:01):
They're like, well, he's just like, I didn't want to
bother You're.
Speaker 5 (14:03):
Sleeping good, but maybe you'll learn from that. I'm like,
all right, that was kind of embarrassing, awesome whatever.
Speaker 3 (14:10):
Also, shout out to that teacher for letting you sleep,
because normally teachers would not even allow that whatsoever.
Speaker 5 (14:16):
Yeah, it was rough go in the beginning of high school.
Man kind of getting injusted and getting used to it.
But uh, yeah, I'll never forget that because I got
made fun of and uh whatever, but you know it's
it's a running joke.
Speaker 3 (14:29):
But hey, Jody Man, I appreciate you calling and tell
your story this morning.
Speaker 4 (14:33):
Brother all, I appreciate you that we're going you too, ma'am.

five nine the rock.
Speaker 2 (14:48):
Hi, who's this Tim? What's up? Brother? You got a
crazy back to score story you want to tell?
Speaker 4 (14:53):
Yeah? I don't know if you get air of this.
Speaker 6 (14:55):
One or on it.
Speaker 3 (14:56):
Well, we might try to bleeve some things out here
and there, depending on I'm the story.
Speaker 4 (15:00):
Okay. Well, my boys they're eighteen.
Speaker 8 (15:03):
And twenty now. Back when they were like nine and eleven.
Speaker 4 (15:09):
Right before the weekend before school started back, they wanted
to go to a concert at Bridgestone, So we carried.
Speaker 8 (15:14):
Him over there and we stayed in the hotel overnight
on Trinity Lane, and my son had noticed people in
the area doing drugs, and we walked to the store
and while he was walking to the store next door.
He had fell and ended up following on his face.
Speaker 2 (15:32):
And black in his eye.
Speaker 4 (15:34):
Oh no, and so we didn't think much of it.
Came back home. They started school the fresh.
Speaker 8 (15:41):
School year the next week, and well, the.
Speaker 4 (15:45):
Very first last school.
Speaker 8 (15:46):
I'm at work and about halfway to today.
Speaker 4 (15:48):
The principal causes says, we need to talk. You need
to come out here to my office.
Speaker 2 (15:52):
Oh no.
Speaker 4 (15:53):
So I go out there and my son is sitting
in the office smiling from here to ear and I said,
I said, yeah, what's going on? And the principal says, well,
your son.
Speaker 8 (16:06):
We asked him how he got his black eye, and
he said he.
Speaker 4 (16:10):
He went to a concert in Nashville and got in
a fight with a crack I was so livid. True story.
Speaker 2 (16:25):
But you gotta admit that was a pretty good excuse.
Speaker 8 (16:27):
That was a really good excuse, but just in wrong place,
wrong time.
Speaker 3 (16:33):
Hey man, I appreciate you calling it this morning and
to share your story with us.

I will say that as a kid, I always thought
that that said there's a bathroom on the right, but
obviously that is not the words, but.
Speaker 2 (17:36):
I continue to sing it anyways.
Speaker 3 (17:37):
Welcome into Tuesday's show. It's one O five downe in
the Roe, Nashville's classic rock. It's Battle in the Morning.
We got a lot to get into on the show today.
Coming up here later this hour at six forty, we'll
play one stupid question for Nashville Sounds tickets as they
take on the Jumbo Shrimps this Sunday. We'll get you
into that game and then at eight ten will battle
it out for collective soul and live tickets. Let's take
(17:58):
a look at what's trend this morning. Who knew that
a fish could do so much damage? Fire officials in
British Columbia, Canadas as a fish falling from the sky
sparked a wildfire and knocked out power in the role
of village of Ashcroft. Turns out, an osprey dropped its
catch onto a power line that sent sparks and embers
(18:19):
flying into dry brush, which then triggered a fire. There
was a cheeky post by the Ashcroft Fire Department on
Facebook noted we do suspect the size of the fish
and the heat of the day probably caused the rather
tired bird to drop its catcher. Or another suspicion could
be that it was tired of for all fish and
wanted to give cooked a try. Good news is that
(18:40):
the fire was put out. Crazy to think right. Also,
big happy birthday to the Twinkie. Yeah, the Hostess Twinkie
is celebrating its ninety fifth anniversary this year. As you remember,
back in twenty twelve, Hostess filed for bankruptcy and production
of the Twinkie stopped and everybody lost their mind.
Speaker 2 (18:59):
That was until new company picked up.
Speaker 3 (19:01):
The brand and began production again in May of twenty thirteen,
and thus the Tweakie still stayed alive and no expiration
date either. That is a look at what's trending this morning.
One stupid question. We'll play that next.
Speaker 1 (19:17):
Want to join the show?
Speaker 2 (19:18):
Text rock and your message to six four eight.
Speaker 4 (19:23):

one oh five nine, The Rock, Come Thirsty, Leave Happy
one O five nine, The Rode Nashville's classic Rock, Its
Battle and the Morning You Know. TikTok is loaded with
more hacks than ever, some good, some not so good. Well,
the latest TikTok hack is apparently supposed to help your
vacuum pick up more dirt by weighing it down, But
the item people are using to add weight is well
(20:12):
the most impractical thing you could think of. The hack
is way in front of your vacuum down by putting
a watermelon on top of it. I'm beginning to think
I know why the government was wanting to ban TikTok,
And no, it's not because they're still in your identity.
It's because of people like this. The video is racking
up millions of views. The woman who posts it it
(20:33):
does it with carpet cleaner, but it works with vacuums too.
Just toss a full and cut watermelon on there and
vacuum like normal.
Speaker 2 (20:43):
Yeah.
