赫斯本德·爱德华·金梅尔
（1882—1968）美国海军上将。
1906年，在“弗吉尼亚”号战列舰服役。第一次世界大战期间，历任战列舰、巡洋舰的军械官，太平洋舰队枪炮官，助理海军部长F．D．罗斯福的副官。曾随“白色大舰队”进行环球航行。1917年10月，在伦敦任英国皇家海军教官。1919年，任“阿肯萨斯”号战列舰副舰长。以后，在华盛顿海军枪炮厂生产部门任职。1923年12月，在亚洲海军站任“普雷布尔”号驱逐舰舰长，后任驱逐舰分队司令。1925年春，入美国海军军事学院深造。1927年，在海军部任政策与联络处处长。后任第12驱逐舰中队指挥官、“纽约”号战列舰舰长和战列舰部队参谋长。1937年11月，晋海军少将，后任第7、第9巡洋舰分队司令和巡洋舰部队司令。1941年2月，晋海军上将，任太平洋舰队总司令和美国舰队总司令。珍珠港事件后，被解职。
