21 апреля президент США Дональд Трамп заявил, что надеется на заключение сделки между Россией и Украиной «на этой неделе». Трамп не уточнил, о какой именно «сделке» идет речь.
«Надеюсь, Россия и Украина заключат сделку на этой неделе. После этого обе страны начнут вести большой бизнес с США, которые процветают, и заработают состояние», — написал Трамп в соцсети Truth Social.
17 апреля госсекретарь США Марко Рубио заявлял, что США в течение нескольких дней прекратят участвовать в достижении мирного соглашения между РФ и Украиной, если не увидят четких признаков того, что сделка может быть заключена.
Bloomberg писал, что 17 апреля США представили европейским союзникам «контуры прочного и долговременного мира» в Украине. По данным журналистов агентства, соглашение предполагает, что Россия сохраняет контроль над уже захваченными территориями Украины, а также может рассчитывать на постепенное снятие санкций в случае длительного прекращения огня.
