Политический блок администрации президента может превратить ЛДПР в «партию дипломатии», которая помогает Кремлю налаживать связи с ультраправыми силами за рубежом и пророссийскими партиями в постсоветских странах.
По данным «Медузы», такую идею предложил глава ЛДПР и председатель комитета Госдумы по международным делам Леонид Слуцкий. Одобрить ее должен глава политблока администрации президента Сергей Кириенко, который вместе со своими подчиненными с недавнего времени следит за политической обстановкой в непризнанных Абхазии и Южной Осетии, а также в Армении и странах Африки.
