28 сентября в Молдове прошли парламентские выборы. На выборах победила проевропейская партия «Действие и солидарность» президента страны Майи Санду.
По данным ЦИК Молдовы, после обработки более 99% протоколов с избирательных участков за партию Санду проголосовали 50,06% избирателей.
Оппозиционный Патриотический избирательный блок бывшего президента Игоря Додона, выступающий за сближение с Россией, получил 24,25% голосов. Известно, что Россия планировала вмешаться в парламентские выборы в Молдове.
Многие наблюдатели называли прошедшие в Молдове выборы «историческими», так как их результат напрямую влияет на будущее европейской интеграции Молдовы. В случае победы Патриотического избирательного блока эта интеграция могла либо замедлиться, либо быть полностью свернута.
