В ночь на 10 октября правительство Израиля одобрило соглашение с ХАМАС об освобождении заложников. Взамен Израиль отпустит около 2000 палестинских заключенных. Далее, согласно плану США, Израиль должен отвести войска на согласованные рубежи.
