15 октября временный президент Сирии Ахмад аш-Шараа прибыл с визитом в Москву. По данным источников Reuters, за закрытыми дверями Шараа добивался экстрадиции свергнутого сирийского диктатора Башара Асада.
Известно, что вместе с Башаром Асадом в Россию перебралась его семья и больше тысячи сирийских офицеров. Семья Асадов владеет 18 квартирами в «Москва-Сити». Из Сирии они вывезли не меньше 250 миллионов долларов наличными и поместили их в российские банки.
