В ночь на 24 июня президент США Дональд Трамп объявил, что Израиль и Иран договорились о прекращении огня. Незадолго до этого США по приказу самого Трампа атаковали ядерные объекты в Иране, а Тегеран нанес удар по американской военной базе в Катаре. Перемирие должно поэтапно вступить в силу в течение 24 июня, однако Израиль уже обвинил Иран в нарушении режима прекращения огня и пообещал нанести ответный удар.
