The father goes away on a business trip and a strange chain of events takes place when the father's ghost shows up complaining that he was given the ghostship mistakenly while the old man was still alive and needs help getting out of his predicament. nA funny story from Frank Stockton that English teachers have tried to spin as an allegory to the rise in capitalism- but that's pure you-know-what. Stockton just wrote it as a funny short story with a great twist.
