Selv betegnede han sig som Homo Ludens - det legende menneske, og som admiralen for 'Den Gyldne Flåde' med henvisning til sine collager, der med leg og livsglæde i lasten skulle yde akut nødhjælp til de lande, der udsættes for stormagternes kvælende imperialisme.
