פרופ׳ מור פרץ הוא דור ראשון להשכלה גבוהה במשפחה. הוא גדל בשנות השמונים בשכונה א׳ בבאר שבע, לאמא שעבדה כאחות ואבא שניהל מחסנים לוגיסטיים. הוא בכלל קיווה להיות שחקן כדורסל, ואחרי לימודי הנדסאות בתיכון הגיע לחיל האוויר, שם חווה פציעה קשה שכמעט שיתקה אותו. מור מעיד על עצמו שהוא תמיד מכוון הכי גבוה, והיה בוגר המכללה הראשון שהתקבל לתואר שני ואז שלישי בהנדסת חשמל בבאר שבע. אחרי פוסט דוקטורט בקנדה, כשיכול היה לבחור במשרה באיזו אוניברסיטה שהוא ירצה, הוא החליט לחזור ארצה לאוניברסיטת בן גוריון בנגב. בשנת 2019 יחד עם שני דוקטורנטים שלו, הם הקימו את קפאו, שפיתחה טכנולוגיה שמטעינה רובוטים תוך כדי שהם נעים על רצפות ייצור ובמרכזים לוגיסטיים. עד היום הם גייסו יותר משלושים מיליון דולר ועובדים עם חברות ענק כמו טויוטה, שגם השקיעה בחברה, דנסו, ויונדאי. סיפור על חתירה למצויינות, ציונות ורובוטיקה בנגב.
