Escritor e dramaturgo, Ian Fraser estreou na literatura em 2014 com o livro O Sangue É Agreste. Entre os livros publicados estão Araruama: o livro das sementes, Araruama: o livro das raízes, Noir Carnavalesco, A vida e as mortes de Severino Olho de Dendê e, seu mais recente lançamento, Cartografia para caminhos incertos. Também organizou a coletânea de contos Farras Fantásticas ao lado de Ricardo Santos e João Mendes e, no teatro, escreveu A Máquina que Dobra o Nada e Ensaio para uma redenção (adaptação do Cartografia para caminhos incertos) - ambos ganhadores do prêmio Braskem de melhor texto de teatro.
Entre as diversas indicações e premiações de Ian Fraser, foi finalista do Jabuti com A vida e as mortes de Severino Olho de Dendê na categoria romance de Entretenimento e ganhou o prêmio de melhor narrativa policial longa pela Associação Brasileira de Escritores de Romance Policial, Suspense e Terror com Noir Carnavalesco.
