This week, we have Darin Ruf on the show. Coach Ruf is currently coaching with the Omaha Mavericks. Previously, he was navigating life in Major League Baseball. With a career that took him across the country, he even found himself overseas. Spending a few years playing in Korea, Darin had a long and successful 15-year professional career.
He brings a unique perspective with 9 seasons in the Major Leagues as he embarks on life after ball.
We do a bit of storytelling and exchanging lessons, which turned our talk to lean more philosophical. Darin deep dives into the recognition of a beginning and end, but understanding the importance of life “in the middle”.
One thing that really stood out to me during this conversation was Darin’s ability to dive into learning about people. He has taken a beautiful approach to coaching and expresses patience while passing down information and wisdom to the next generations of baseball. Enjoy the show. One love!
