En este episodio de Carreteras Secundarias viajamos a El Hierro, donde conocemos al “equipo patera”, un grupo de médicos, enfermeros y celadores en el segundo hospital más pequeño de España. Ellos son los primeros en atender a las personas que llegan en cayucos a la isla, muchas veces en condiciones de salud extremas. A pocos kilómetros de allí, en Tenerife, otros hospitales se han convertido en hogares forzosos para más de 600 personas mayores que tienen el alta médica, pero no pueden volver a casa porque nadie puede cuidar de ellas, ni hay centros que las acojan. Y el viaje termina en Girona, donde un equipo de atención primaria ha empezado a recetar algo muy curioso a los pacientes con problemas de salud mental: paseos por el bosque. Es la llamada “receta verde”, una forma de aliviar la ansiedad y la depresión devolviendo a las personas el contacto con la naturaleza.
