FINALLY, the season 3 opening multi-parter comes to an end! And we have to ask, why does Cybertron even have that lever!?!

Hello and welcome to the action for podcast and types of apps.
A recap of the Generation 1 Transformers cartoon.
I'm else. And I'm specs.
And today, we are going to be talking about episode number 70,
the five phases of Darkness, part 5.
Let's talk about dry robots today, shall we?
Yes, let's finish this by partner.

Yep, last time, on the Transformers, we got at that
rundown on the origin of the species.
That was somehow less informative than we'd like or
rather. We found out that it was the
quintessence who created both the autobots and the
Decepticons. Unfortunately, they were all
five fast asshole so the cybertronians kicked them off

(00:56):
the planet which using the powerof math.
We know is much worse than beingtwo-faced and the quintessence
have returned for revenge on their Wayward Creations, ending
the previous episode with a joint attack Hack on Cybertron
and Earth. Trypticon taking a leaf from
Godzilla's book and rising ominously from the ocean and

(01:16):
Earth ocean. I feel the need to specify since
we're dealing with multiple planets here.
Yes. And I now must question, why the
contest is didn't attack Cybertron, when the two main
armies were off of it. I mean maybe Shockwave was
enough of a deterrent giant gun pointed at the sky.
Oh the poor little guys working.Like you know it's working for a

(01:39):
maybe that was enough of a deterrent.
Somehow Cybertron, the Decepticons have blasted through
the planetary defenses, Ultra, Magnus distracts.
The Decepticons while the other Autobots Retreat on Earth.
Powerglide has made first contact with Trypticon firing,
rather, and effectively at the big Dino.
Also, hey, A Powerglide saw liveat The Arc which also apparently

(02:03):
still exists. We see some robots head out to
intercept Trypticon. This is about as effective as
throwing peeps at him. Yes, the candy guys that candy
at Metroplex Blaster calls Cybertron to give them a heads
up about the whole Trypticon situation.
The person on the other end of the call asks about the status
of Metroplex has transformation Cog.

(02:24):
And for the record, you can't see who's on the other side of
the call. And if you'll remember, Blurr
and wheelie were supposed to deliver the called, but their
ship was shot down, last her andforms the person on the other
end that it's still on iO. And that Sky Lynx is en route to
retrieve it, but surprise, it's the quintessence that are on the
other end. How do these giant robots have

(02:46):
such terrible information security?
He wasn't even trying to call someone specific.
It looks like he's just on an open Channel.
Well, you see it's because the Autobots don't have an HR
department and therefore they have, no, HR department making
them do yearly training. They don't have a security
department either, apparently, cuz red alerts either dead or

(03:07):
he's off in Tahiti, I kill it Tahiti.
Okay, I feel like them poor anxious man.
Probably deserves to be in Tahiti.
The contestants are super grateful for the update though,
Sky lace is able to find Marissafaireborn and her suddenly very
intact spaceship, which definitely blew off in the last

(03:28):
episode. And as a bonus, there's two
oughta box, Marissa. Blurr and wheelie are still
duking it out with the explodingbats from the last episode who
are decidedly not being very explosive right now.
Blaster radios. Marissa and says, Sky Lynx is on
the way Marissa asks, what is a Thanks butt.

(03:49):
Blaster is move with the time, nor the patience to describe
Sky. Lynx is magnificence in these
harried circumstances. We only manages to lose the
transformation Cog, of course. Why did they give it to a lie?
Also Blaster keeps rhyming through this entire interaction.
Here. We don't know why they gave
Blaster wheelies script somehow.I don't know the auto parts,

(04:11):
near the arc are being led by Warpath.
And a surprisingly heroic sounding pipes, pipes is a small
blue truck who has been Most heroic baritone.
You've ever heard a little truckcab sort of is also here that
has no lines. He also turns into a small truck
but bread and he's really only notable because he's
significantly more relevant and well-liked in the, IDW Comics

(04:33):
being the talkative barkeep on the Lost Light.
He doesn't do much in do you want?
Yeah, which led him to be suitable, like, see ranked
seamless cannon fodder for ibw. Yes.
Which is why he got handed like my understanding.
Is that the right? Got handed a bunch of basically
steel is characters for lost light and that's giving more

freedom to do whatever the hell he wanted with them which was
interesting. Yeah, evidently the
Constructicons are here too but opted to stay out of the battle
on Earth, considering that Trypticon can easily crush the
opposition, the Autobots attack,but Trypticon literally flails
the aw away. Smack smack, smack the arc or
the mountain that is stuck in that has a bunch of guns in it,

which Need to shoot it Trypticon.
This much like the Autobots other efforts.
Only causes a momentary pause before.
Trypticon smashes, the whole assmountain and the arcs to bits
well Mount saying Hillary is gone guys.
The voices of thousands of geologists mountain, climbers
and cartographers cry out. They cried out in agony.
Yeah. So the arc is Dead.

(05:38):
Goodbye teletraan one will miss you background Cybertron Ultra.
Magnus is punching Judds like a champ, goodbye Coneheads.
Dirge just fucking explodes. It's fine.
He's fine. He exploded, he came back.
He's fine. It's like Ultra Magnus.
I guess God. Some people have a few extra

(06:00):
lives. Optimus did not.
He comes, he gets better. That would be.
That's but that's a long way. Learned story people, friend and
Ultra Magnus. Exchanged a few shots and then
Galvatron just flies off. They just key fucks off and
space I guess. Well Galvatron has done his

(06:23):
contractually obligated to shots.
Now he's off to get his Intergalactic venti, cinnamon
mocha with extra sprinkles. You think you would just make
cyclonus, get it. He has to show that he does.
Things himself sometimes Percy and a few other Autobots get
into a skirmish with the sweeps Looney Tunes.
A shenanigans ensue bumblebee isincorrectly in the shot for hot

(06:47):
two seconds. Let's swing is sent to give the
contestants and update on the fight.
But he manages to overhear the contestants telling the
sharkticons that this have to find matrix.
They told Galvatron about just, you know, doesn't exist.
It's a fiction. They lied.
The sharkticons are being sent to flip the off, switch for

Cybertron near the center of theplanet that exists for reasons.
So this off switch, also controls the planets
inhabitants. You'd think this would have come
up sometime before you would think maybe on iO Sky Lynx,
finally arrives. Proper to be a delight but

(07:31):
unfortunately the Predacons A previously, unseen Decepticon
combiner team arrived to throw awrench into things.
They are initially rather impotent, some slapstick, comedy
level circus Shenanigans are happening here guys.
They combine into Predaking, whois much more threatening but
still ultimately taken out by Sky legs skyline's, is a red

(07:54):
blue and white Transformer made up of two components a bird
Dragon winged component, and what basically amounts to a
lynx, His vehicle mode is a space shuttle.
He is very distinguished and hasa bit of an ego.
I sincerely enjoy him and G1. He's not in here enough.
Yep. And to specify, he does not have
a bipedal mode. He is.

(08:16):
Yeah. Yeah.
Hehe I think it was later. There's like a later episode
where this is more relevant, buthe's he is considered me animal
Transformer. Basically, he's a space shuttle
that turns into a big space shuttle Dragon thing.
And sometimes a links when he decides to not be flying On
Earth, Trypticon arrives at Metroplex and the Autobots make

(08:36):
their last stand. Don't worry though.
Metroplex may not be able to transform but he's still got
guns. So many guns upon seeing Sky
Lynx is approach the Constructicons finally join in
they and Trypticon shoot skylynxdown a football game in Sue's as
blur Sky Lisa's. Be still have and we attempt to

(08:58):
keep the transformation Cog awayfrom the Decepticons.
So, So weird, man, so weird, theDecepticons, by the way now,
consisting of the Constructicons, the stunticons,
the Combaticons, the insecticonsSoundwave.
And at least some of his cassettes.

(09:22):
The transformation Cog is caughtby pipes, who is able to install
it, meaning Metroplex is finallyable to transform in the two
Titans duke, it out, Trypticon takes a huge ass Boulder to the
face. The engaging further Kaiju
nonsense, Trypticon smashing a bafflingly unknown evacuated
City before Metroplex, picks himup and girls him into the sea.

(09:45):
There is a completely nonsensical flight path here
because it's like Trypticon is some How it's like their spin on
this toss. Okay, he's moving it.
He liked his, making turns the air that don't even make sense
at all for any can. And then yeah, people were, yes,
yes, that on Cybertron, let's Wing arise to warn Galvatron

(10:09):
about the quintessence treacheryGalvatron takes to well.
So, well, in fact that let's wing it looks to warn the
Autobots about the sharkticons instead even going so far as to
assist them, with stopping the shark.
Icons Robin is tries to get lip,swing to change sides.
But littering declines, Galvatron enters and takes sing,
but swing with Rodimus. Some very well-meaning.

(10:31):
Shots are fired. We're being so sarcastic about
this guy's galvatron's. Not a good boss, he's a terrible
boss. Here's the sort of boss that
everyone wants to kill Galvatron.
However, not believing, which one is warnings about this
being, you know, they're off switch pulls, the switch doing.
So he freezes all of the cybertronians Putting those not

(10:52):
on Cybertron. Does it work on the Dinobots?
They weren't built there. I don't remember if we see them.
I don't think we do though. So many questions on Earth.
Several humans, comment about the now Frozen Metroplex.
And let me tell you this decisions were sure made here

(11:13):
because I assume at least that we're still in the Pacific
Northwest and their shot. And what we have here is a
European Who doesn't woman a cowboy and everyone has Southern
Accents. Look, this is the same cartoon,
we're in another episode, they're going to have a bunch of
people in like Belgium or something.

(11:33):
Based off of all the windmills but everyone's dressed like
they're going to a parish in Cafe.
No idea. Look everyone's being horribly
Typecast here because intestinesare happy with this Arrangement
arriving on Cybertron but Spike does what he does best taking a
cybertronian And treating it like a goddamn rocket launcher.

(11:54):
He hits the switch. Turning it back on and
unfreezing all of the cybertronians.
God you guys you need to go and like dismantle that fucking
sweatshirt. Yeah no kidding.
Rowdy Spike Galvatron and blitzwing pursue escaping
quintessence but are unable to catch up with them before they
get on an escape pod. Then let's winged bulls that you
can't fire me. I quit to Galvatron though.

(12:15):
Sadly doesn't join the Autobots.Blitzwing's decided, he's has
enough of this war and he's going on.
Off to space to heating. Look I'm just saying Galvatron
was my fucking General, I think I'd quit too.
Yeah and the episode ends with aspeech from Rowdy, about the
Decepticons not being there onlyenemy.
Finally, it's time this season. Opener is fucking done.

(12:37):
This seat is fine. Partner has been tormenting us
for like two months. Quite possibly longer?
Yeah. Possibly longer, but having
finished that join us next time for episode 71 The Kill Jar or a
human woman in three giant robots.

It's Jen though, there's some implied Springer and RCR.
Characters are Springer rce Ultra Magnus and then there's,
you know, some background characters from the movie
because this is set during the movie.
In summary our sea and Springer need to stay together because
bad things happen when they don't share screen time
together. And there isn't really seeing

(13:43):
here is just sort of a shrug characters that only appear in
season 3. Yes, yes.
And the second fanfic is sleep over by the demon Surfer.
Again, G1 cartoon rated G Jen. No pairings.
And our characters are a blur swoop Grimlock and the diamond.

(14:04):
The rest of the Dinobots In summary, after all, it had to be
better than sleeping in the hall.
So, it's I picked it because it's season 3 and I'd been
looking for stuff with blur in it.
And I thought strange, bedfellows was a good good seam
here because this is a sleepoverand it's a One-Shot and they

(14:29):
were both pretty cute. So I think my favorite out of
the two of them was sleepover itsounds cute and I'm always here
for more Dinobots. It's also got medic swoop.
Oh yeah. Yeah.
Is that it? That is a fandom Trope.
I quite like or at least medic and training spoke.
He's I like swimming. He doesn't do a whole lot.

(14:51):
Bigger invites blur to basicallystay at their stay in the
Dinobots quarters. It's cute.
