Episode 704 – The AFTN Soccer Show (For a second, I hold nostalgia's hand - Whitecaps are MLS Cup bound!)

We’re back with another AFTN Soccer Show packed full of Vancouver Whitecaps, Major League Soccer, and World Cup chat. And apologies in advance for Zach's echoey sound in this one, we're not sure what's happened there! The Whitecaps are heading to the MLS Cup! A dominant and controlled victory in San Diego saw the 'Caps win their first ever Western Conference title and set up a showdown in Florida against a flying Inter Miami side in Saturday's final. We look back at the main talking points coming out of the victory against San Diego, the threat Miami pose, what can be taken from the team's previous two meeting this year, and delve into all of the history-making and milestone moments from Vancouver's 2025 so far. We also look ahead some more to Friday's World Cup draw, one which clearly will be like no other with extra teams, weird regulations, and a "pre-determined random draw" that will see the full schedule with venues and kick off times not known until the day after.
