I slutet av 1600-talet startar ”Det stora oväsendet” - åtta år då kvinnor anklagas för häxeri och samvaro med djävulen. Snart flammar häxbålen över landet. Hundratals kvinnor mister livet under de här åren, varav närmare 70 i en liten by i Ångermanland.
Den som ska berätta för oss om häxprocesserna är Cecilia Düringer, författare, historielärare och prisbelönt programledare för P3 Historia. Nu är hon aktuell med boken ”Häxor - När Satans raseri svepte över Sverige”.
