Speaker 2 (00:10):
Just to kill me one more time?
Speaker 1 (00:19):
It's flicks and he's about to ask dumb questions and
our chat. Look, he's already hype and away.
Speaker 3 (00:26):
We love them questions, but it's enough.
Speaker 1 (00:32):
Mine as well. Be flick.
Speaker 3 (00:35):
I am not doing calculus and I will never do
it ever again.
Speaker 1 (00:39):
Hollo, what everybody? What's going on? Everybody? I'm the one,
the only that w oh okay, I e joined here
by my found the normal cast of misfits. I rehired
them all back, damn it. The old cast was fine,
they were good. I like the old cast, but these
are the Orige, the og. Actually, you know what, it's
(01:01):
not even the fucking og cast anymore, you know I
you know you want to hear a funny story. You
guys ready for the story time with old man Wookie?
You ready for it? Don't everyone talk at once? Calm down,
I'm ready. So I'm going to talk about Yeah. I
MESSAGEDZ the other day, so I'm like, hey, Bud, you
(01:24):
ever coming back to your cast? And he's like, what
k He literally said, and I said, podcast you started
at just one liner, not even one liner? One worder? No?
Speaker 3 (01:45):
Well at least finally got an answer.
Speaker 1 (01:49):
Like, what is life? I don't even know?
Speaker 3 (01:53):
Does that mean I can finally take over and have
free will and just go crazy?
Speaker 1 (01:58):
Dude?
Speaker 4 (01:59):
This is I mean, you've been able to do that
for a while. Now this is all you call?
Speaker 1 (02:03):
Hey, this is your world. I'm just living in it,
all right.
Speaker 3 (02:07):
I don't know if I've gone ultimate control yet, ultimate power?
Speaker 1 (02:11):
No, one day, if you ever you know? Anyways, we
got stuff and things to talk about. A whole world
of events, A whole new world has popped out of
the audit.
Speaker 4 (02:27):
We didn't do the intro, did we? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (02:30):
He did it?
Speaker 1 (02:31):
What did I do?
Speaker 4 (02:34):
Say?
Speaker 3 (02:34):
Our names?
Speaker 1 (02:35):
Oh yeah? Calls to be calls back from Flance, Dexter
is a ginger and Felix has the hair of a god.
Does that cover everybody?
Speaker 4 (02:50):
Yep, that's perfect.
Speaker 1 (02:53):
I'm still angry at Felix's picture, but one day I'll
get over it. It's tod but it's not today. World's
happened while you were While you all were away, we
didn't not really anybody left. Cole went to France. He's
now back. How is France? Cole?
Speaker 3 (03:12):
It's pretty pretty, pretty dope. Was a good time I'm
sure they have plenty of They also have croissants, which
are very dope in themselves. And first time out of
the country, first time in Europe. I beat Wookie somehow,
(03:39):
who has never even been to Canada yet.
Speaker 1 (03:43):
You did. I have not been to Canada yet, even
though it's right there, it's right there, very close to
you never been. But world is a thing that happened.
We got an article, I guess is the how I'm
(04:03):
gonna say it. It is an article about kind of
how the top thirty two aligned. Why don't you give
us kind of an overview? How did it all go?
Like you're at the Last Chance qualifiers, you were streaming blue,
had a heart attack or was rushed to the hospital.
I don't really know what, Like, come on, give us,
give us, give us the tea man.
Speaker 3 (04:24):
Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah yeah, put it, put it back cold.
Speaker 1 (04:32):
Nowhere.
Speaker 3 (04:34):
I need a way to continue to fund these escapades.
And it was it was just right there, right there.
Speaker 1 (04:44):
Just drive down the street, grab a couple of pictures,
and I'm out.
Speaker 3 (04:49):
Yep. Wait wait until they find out what I took
from Versailles. But I should be I should be set
for a couple of years yeah, yep, yep, yep. So
I arrived I guess officially the day before. But going
(05:11):
back even further, Yeah, Blue was supposed to go to
Nice for a little bit ahead of the actual event
with his partner and on the way to the airport
had a heart attack. This is not a meme or
(05:33):
some kind of euphemism of some sort. I guess he
had had heart palpitations for a bit since he was
in college and it just kind of finally caught up
to him. He was supposed to be the one helping
me run the English broadcast in France, and so it
(05:58):
was very unf fortunate. But he's doing a lot better now.
He's part cyborg, got a pacemaker put in, and once
he was awake and coherent said that we can finally
tell people as long as we make jokes about it.
Speaker 1 (06:19):
So sure, so number one, here's joke one. You ready
put on some pants?
Speaker 3 (06:28):
Yeah, is that's what happened.
Speaker 1 (06:31):
It's because that is just karma catching up to you,
like it's the world telling you you're doing it wrong.
Speaker 4 (06:41):
Right, But that's his look, that's his signature. Wow, can't
take that away from him.
Speaker 1 (06:46):
Guess guess what your signature got? You a pacemaker, that's what. Yeah,
so I guess because I go ahead and switch it up.
Speaker 3 (06:53):
Bro, if you have your knees too cold for too long,
it's just goes straight.
Speaker 1 (07:00):
Here, straight into your heart. Yep, ye can't do but yeah.
Speaker 3 (07:05):
So I arrived the day before we went, and we
checked out the venue. We helped set up some things.
Got to look at what I was dealing with on
the broadcast. It was actually a lot better of a
setup than I imagined. I was really worried with what
we were going to be given access to, but the
(07:26):
broadcast team set us up really nice. There were still
a couple things that were kind of a little annoying
just with how the setup was, and I had to
get into all my accounts and like download certain things.
But all all things considered, it went really well. Yeah.
(07:47):
The next three days Friday, Saturday, Sundays, I.
Speaker 1 (07:51):
Kind of irritated you. And I'm kind of kid because
it seemed nice. I was. I was poking around.
Speaker 4 (07:56):
It looked good from the stream. I was watching at
like three am every night because I could because I
have nothing better to do.
Speaker 3 (08:04):
Yeah. So, I mean, when you're away from your own setup,
you kind of have to bring everything back in and
they had graphics that they had made for the event,
which was nice, but it also meant that I had
to build all of the scenes into obs instead of
(08:26):
just downloading like the usual JSON file we use or
something like that. And then there was I could never
get the clean feed audio to work. It only gave
us sound for like certain music parts, so if they
(08:47):
if the main broadcast did have any points of English
or just things that we wanted to bring over into
our side, the audio wasn't working. But other than that,
really it was just being a man down having to
create some things on the fly. And Blue usually has
(09:10):
like a tablet and a laptop and all that other stuff,
so I had to steal my partner's laptop. She very
thankfully let me take it all the way to France
so I could make some thumbnails and things. But other
than that, it was it was pretty perfect. They did
give me a stream deck to set up, but I
was just like, I have absolutely no time to go
(09:34):
program a bunch of stuff into this. So yeah, I.
Speaker 4 (09:38):
Mean you got some other people to help you out
with casting throughout the week, right, Yeah that seemed nice.
Speaker 3 (09:44):
Yeah, So I always had as casting schedule put together.
And it was funny because a lot of them were like,
I'm playing in this event or doing this event. I
only want to cast for like an hour or two,
you know, each day. And then they got there and
enjoyed the lights and the setup and you know, the headsets,
(10:07):
so they stayed a lot longer. So really, for the
most part of the three days, I was just managing
the broadcast, making sure everything was going well, making sure
the casters were taken care of with like food and
water and whatever else I could steal from the back kitchen.
(10:29):
I was on there a couple times, but yeah, a
lot of people jumped in to help out. Some Equinox
employees hopped on as well, like Marcus and Francois, both
great game designers, and then Simon hopped on for a
little bit when he had a break in like actively
(10:49):
judging a table. And yeah, we had people from basically
all over the world. We had an Italian, South African,
me being American, and then Swiss, German, and yeah, who
knows what else French. So yeah, the broadcast side of
(11:12):
things was it was good. It was very long. The
first day the LCQ, oh my gosh, that was a
seventeen hour day. If you didn't notice or realize.
Speaker 1 (11:25):
Yes, I did, and I knew that was going to
be long for you. How many total how many total people?
Was there a total official headcount.
Speaker 3 (11:37):
In person? I don't know if they had like a
unique ticket sold, because how the last Chance qualifiers worked
is there were AM slots and then there were PM
slots and all of them were full. So five hundred
and something players all time, Yeah.
Speaker 4 (12:02):
But a good amount of them more likely repeats from
the morning that lost and then they played in the
afternoon as well.
Speaker 1 (12:10):
Right, Yeah, I didn't know if they had.
Speaker 4 (12:11):
It was probably like maybe a thousand people or like
nine hundred people totally unique.
Speaker 3 (12:17):
Yeah. I think the amount of people that tried and
the last Chance qualifier was probably close to that amount.
But there were also people that were just doing side
events or other games, so I think overall the event
easily saw over a thousand people. The venue was was
(12:41):
pretty nice and spread out, and then the outside area
was also very nice as long as it wasn't raining
so wasn't too cramped. But one of the fun parts
of like Europe and France is they're not super used
to air conditioning, which ninety percent of the time was
(13:04):
fine because it was very nice, like sixty degree weather
that's in fahrenheit. Of course. Yeah, in that room where
the LCQ was and having you know, over five hundred
people in it at a time, being at the stream
desk with all those lights and computers. Oh man. There
(13:25):
were a couple of times where I just told someone
I was like, you guys, good, I need to go
sit outside for five minutes.
Speaker 4 (13:32):
And just yeah, it seems like a us it was.
Speaker 3 (13:35):
Yeah, I was getting hot in there.
Speaker 4 (13:37):
It's a lot of people in one room.
Speaker 3 (13:40):
Yeah, it was getting a little a little the air
was getting a little heavy, certain pockets of little gamer
gamer smells there. Yep. I told you guys what kind
of sign events were there? Out of curiosity. I mean
it was a thousand something.
Speaker 4 (13:57):
He was wondering that too.
Speaker 3 (13:59):
Yeah. So they had, uh, they had a lore event
which I actually haven't even been able to really read
up on, but you played, I think a pack battle
or something, and then you got to vote for who
would be like the new leader of a certain part
of the society, and then they tallied the votes and
(14:24):
elected the new leader. The boss battles were super popular
basically every day there was like an hour line and
then outside of like those side side events, uh, there
was a two v two event, a three v three event,
(14:44):
and then I think they had one other constructed just
normal one v one and then.
Speaker 4 (14:54):
Yeah, how TREV three work? That sounds insane, It's.
Speaker 3 (14:59):
Sound well, it sounded so awesome. I wish I could
have played. It's not the same as TV two where
you're literally, you know, on the same tumult. But what
it is is you have a team of three people
and you do sealed And what was really cool is
(15:20):
they got to use pre release kits uh the sky
Bound Odyssey.
Speaker 4 (15:27):
For their They go all the extra extra unique cards
in their packs.
Speaker 3 (15:32):
Yeah, and you draft with those boxes and you have
access to your entire teams like pool of cards, and
then you each build a deck and you go against
another team. So it's like three separate one vws.
Speaker 4 (15:50):
That sounds so fun. Is it just one game with
each other player? Those are the teams that remember they
do they play like a round robin with everyone else
from the other teams.
Speaker 3 (16:03):
So I believe it's like Swiss, but it's like you
have to win with teams. Yeah, you have to win
to add three of your matchups and then you get
like the win for that round.
Speaker 5 (16:17):
And universes of the fun events that people play in
the very last regionals all the time. And do you
have three people forming a team, they have their three people,
there are three opponents, and generally how that one goes,
which I'm not sure if it's the same and altered,
is that once you decide which team gets to decide
who goes first, the first player decides who their opponent
(16:40):
is going to be. So they hand pick who their opponent,
who their opponents are going to be after they see
who they're playing, the character that they're playing, the hero
that they're playing.
Speaker 4 (16:51):
Yeah, that's some interesting added choices for the players to
make about who their opponent's going to be. That's interesting. Yeah,
I can play more agency.
Speaker 3 (17:02):
Sure the rules for it. I've never seen it played
at another event, and then of course I I was
a little too busy to play in anything myself. There
was also a Kodama Academy type event which was for
(17:22):
kids under a certain age. I believe the winner for
that event got to go up on stage and reveal
a card on the French broadcast. Question for you, that's
what it was.
Speaker 1 (17:37):
So the Kodama Academy is for younger players, it all
is it also for ship players? Can I get up?
There is that trash?
Speaker 3 (17:48):
I don't think so in order to play.
Speaker 4 (17:50):
Got a kid.
Speaker 1 (17:52):
Some of those kids might be better than me.
Speaker 5 (17:54):
So I'm just saying, yeah, you look like he looked
like a small kid.
Speaker 1 (18:00):
Yeah, yeah, don't the beard. Don't let the beard for you, mister,
I'm twelve. I'm just many.
Speaker 3 (18:08):
There was a ten year old playing in the elsie
Q's so nice. You did have the chance of being
beat by a ten year old if you wanted to
play in the main event. So nice.
Speaker 1 (18:24):
I was one of those kids once upon a time
with Star Wars, the decipher version.
Speaker 3 (18:31):
It was a good old decipher Star Wars.
Speaker 1 (18:33):
Yep. I love that game. I still love that game.
I'd play it if it were still around today. It
is not well, it's not nice.
Speaker 3 (18:40):
I mean it exists.
Speaker 1 (18:41):
It exists, so there's still world championships for it. But
new stuff. Alrighty, So let's take a look at some
of the statistics that we got from the event. Doesn't
give us a field, but we can take a look
at the top thirty two. So taking up a majority
(19:06):
of the pie. I guess I don't know if I'm
shocked by this. I'm not shocked by this at all.
After the after the US Invitational, Bravos at twenty eight
percent Axiom, I'm sorry, no, it's Bravos. Then Ortis at
twenty two percent of the top thirty two, twenty one
(19:27):
is Axiom, fourteen is Lyra make Lyra great Again? Ten
percent Muna and yis mere Lonely three point two.
Speaker 4 (19:38):
I feel like that band was really really really really
did bisness. I mean, Waru isn't here? Do you see
Waru anywhere on this list?
Speaker 3 (19:50):
Weird we are in there? That's weird?
Speaker 4 (19:57):
Good enough?
Speaker 1 (19:57):
Yeah, no, no, there's no oh Waru, just Goolerang and
Sigasmy Yeah.
Speaker 3 (20:04):
There's really no reason for Lindaway or our June to
be in there. So looking at the top thirty two here,
you also have to remember it was Conquest format, so
the breakdown here makes even more sense because basically everyone's
(20:26):
going to bring a sigis Mar deck is one of
their decks, and then depending on who the player is,
their Bravos deck is going to be a little different Axiom.
Basically everyone's going to bring a traced deck.
Speaker 1 (20:41):
Explain and then for people that were not here, I
e flex explain to him what a what what the
conquest format was?
Speaker 3 (20:51):
Yeah, so it's for the format.
Speaker 1 (20:53):
Didn't really did it, weren't weren't following as closely?
Speaker 3 (20:56):
Yeah, it's a format that's become a lot more common
in very high level competitive TCG events. So each player
brings three decks with three different factions, and the deck
lists are public at the start of the match for
the top thirty two, and each player has an opportunity
(21:17):
to ban one of their opponents three decks, and then
when a player wins the game on a deck, that
deck was validated and cannot be used for the rest
of the match. If you lose on your deck, you
have the option to continue with the same deck or
switch to a different one. Where I think this graph
(21:41):
is actually most interesting is when you look at the
Mona and the Lyra sections. I will be honest, I
think the only Yaizmir decks I paid attention to was
Pavanya's or Pava for sure a Kesha deck which is
(22:05):
also very scary. She has a double discard Baku and
it is not a hostage or prison Akesha. It's just
straight up a kesha. But the Moona you had Rent
and Orchid, which is one of Pava's other decks, which
(22:25):
was Rent Festival, and there was I can't remember the matchup,
but I think it might have been traced into Pava's
Rent and Orchid or I just remember I was walking
around taking care of things and I saw that someone
(22:46):
did not ban her Renen Orchid in one of the matchups,
and I was like, oh my gosh, that's a mistake.
I think it was one of the Exalts players and
I asked Aaron, who's like the one of the captains
or owner or whatever of the Exalts. I was like,
they didn't and the Festival deck what? And then yeah,
(23:09):
she won with Rain Festival. Like extremely the Tasia decks,
almost all of them were mass anchor decks, which also
meant that I believe it might have been the most
banned deck of the event as Tasia. I'd have to
(23:33):
go through and see if anyone kept track of that.
Speaker 4 (23:35):
It was either from watching the stream that seemed to
be true with all the perma anchor stuff getting banned yep.
Speaker 3 (23:43):
And then the Lyra one is super interesting because the
r ROC decks were the resupply rock and they didn't
really get to pop off too often, but when they
do it's insane. And then there was a really good
(24:06):
Novenka deck that rolled very unfortunately in one of the
higher parts of the bracket. I remember the guy's face,
but I don't know if I remember his name. Maybe
it was Na Dear. I should pull up thirty nine
cards because it'll list the decks of each player and
(24:31):
what they picked. But yeah, he was rolling sixes when
you didn't want sixes. And there might have been a
one in there somewhere, but always, always super great to
see those decks. Maybe it was Rocko. But there is
(24:53):
a whole listing on thirty nine cards if you want
to see what deck each player brought to the event.
Speaker 1 (25:05):
All right, moving into the top eight, we got another
graph looking at this, so this is kind of an
even I guess better breakdown pretty even here. Actually, twenty
point eight percent, Bravos, twenty eight percent, Axiom, twenty point
(25:25):
eight percent, lyra Ortis with the highest of twenty five percent.
Muna at twelve point five poor.
Speaker 4 (25:34):
Muna, and no yuse mare, no you'll be found.
Speaker 1 (25:38):
Yeah, no yus ma poor yeasmre did you get unbann
afanas after this or on a rada him.
Speaker 3 (25:50):
Nap. You know need to uh, people just need to
put together a deck and figure it out. I mean
they're not gonna do it with. They're not gonna do
with it is.
Speaker 4 (26:04):
Ridiculous. I was gonna sat next.
Speaker 1 (26:08):
Well Trace does twenty point eight, you know that's the
old only axiom. And then I mean everybody else has
got a little bit. You know, you got a little
bit of everything in Lyra, a little bit of well
not mostly Fenn and Crowbra and then a little bit
of everything mostly Kojo and Boden and Bravos. Yeah, but
(26:29):
like yeah, I mean no axiom. I'm sorry. No Yizmir
not a one, I mean number one, top thirty two.
Yisme has the smallest piece of the pie three point
two percent.
Speaker 3 (26:45):
Three.
Speaker 1 (26:46):
That's a sliver. That's like when your girlfriend, you know,
is like, oh, when you're like, oh you want cake,
I'll just have a little bit. I'll just have a
Yizmir piece right like, It's that is three point two
percent the Yizmir Piezmir piece. It's so tiny and then
you and then they're like, let's see the conversion rate
(27:07):
oh zero zero. Yeah, you know, it's like, oh man,
I wonder if they're like, maybe we shouldn't have done that.
I don't know. I wonder what it would have been
like if they didn't do it like it, would it
have dominated that heavily? I don't know.
Speaker 3 (27:23):
I think one of the main issues with Yizmir, and
I mean I could be totally off base with this,
but because of the high prevalence of sigismar, I think
a lot of the Yazmir got knocked out early. Because
we're going from top thirty two down to top eight.
(27:46):
We don't have stats and I'm not sure if we
will ever get them for the entire like six hundred
ish players. But there were definitely some more interesting heroes
that tried to make it through the LCQ. They just
did not happen to. One of the first matchups that
(28:09):
we cast on Friday was actually a Zen and Zephyr,
and then there was a wow, my brain is networking
the new Bravos hero Right after that, Hula. Yeah, so
that's it.
Speaker 1 (28:29):
Soul in Hallulah, no oney remembers soul. It's all about Hallula,
No offense, soul, but very interesting. It was a great stream.
If you get the opportunity, maybe just go watch the
fight and you know the tops, right, maybe you don't
watch the seventeen hour LCQ. A lot good stuff in there,
(28:52):
but still it's it's long, it's a lot of it.
Speaker 4 (28:57):
I mean I watched all of it. I mean, watch
it like pretty much at when it was being broadcasted
is a lot more interesting than it is watching it afterwards.
Speaker 1 (29:06):
Yeah, I mean I watched it like.
Speaker 4 (29:08):
A little bit at three am, and then like rewatched
all the other stuff when I woke up the next day.
Speaker 1 (29:13):
I was not watching that at three am, especially having
to work no offense, But that's that's that's early.
Speaker 4 (29:21):
See I'm unemployed, so that's not a problem for me.
Speaker 1 (29:24):
Well I am not.
Speaker 3 (29:26):
So they didn't on stream.
Speaker 5 (29:29):
Was didn't on stream the game where they have a
Blizzard in their hand and they didn't realize Yeah yeah,
that Gigantic Hunger.
Speaker 3 (29:40):
Yeah yeah.
Speaker 4 (29:41):
There was a card on one side and it was Gigantic,
and then another card on another side, and he didn't
realize that his Blizzard would hit both characters. Have you
picked the one expedition since Gigantic makes it count as
both sides, So he lost that game. He conceded when
he could have played the Blizzard and won it. That
was a real feel bad moment. That was the last
(30:05):
match for one of the l c q's Actually.
Speaker 3 (30:10):
Yeah, yeah that's true. So what's a unique list look like? Ah?
Speaker 4 (30:16):
Pretty so we got a lot of unique and nazis.
It's it's typical. It's what you would expect. Bravo stuff
is drawing and sabotaging. All of the ortis is also
drawing and making a whole bunch of tokens. The tracete
is all putting cards from hand in reserve to boost
(30:36):
up a bunch and that's That's pretty much the same
for all of Vitorio's lists as well. So it's as
pretty standard.
Speaker 5 (30:46):
I think it's just a sheer.
Speaker 4 (30:50):
Yeah, a Nanci is very big, you're figured.
Speaker 5 (30:54):
Yeah, able to get that.
Speaker 4 (30:57):
Many boosts for only costing two or three he is ridiculous.
Speaker 3 (31:01):
Yeah, I see. I see the Easterns as well.
Speaker 5 (31:06):
Yeah, the opt to go with the uniques and bushi
instead of just using the the comment for the one drop,
although that.
Speaker 4 (31:14):
One to draw draw is always good.
Speaker 3 (31:19):
Yeah, I saw that.
Speaker 4 (31:20):
Get some ramp there too, be strong for sure.
Speaker 1 (31:25):
In the Unique slot surprised me. It was like, oh,
it's so good.
Speaker 4 (31:35):
It's all the busted cards. Yep, yep, yep. Good to
see that the winning players had all the bust and stuff.
So if you want to win, just get the uniques
and you have to have a mind of them. Now
on quest format, your hand is that?
Speaker 3 (31:53):
Now? Is it?
Speaker 1 (31:54):
Always?
Speaker 5 (31:54):
Like?
Speaker 4 (31:55):
I would assume that they would continue format. They have
no officially announced, so I don't know for sure, but
I mean, I don't see why they wouldn't.
Speaker 1 (32:06):
Well, hey, let me let me give you a hand.
Variety Cole Robbie is on the show.
Speaker 4 (32:11):
Right, Yeah, you think he knows the answer to that question.
Speaker 1 (32:18):
Now, whether he's going to give it to us or not.
You hear how quiet he.
Speaker 5 (32:22):
Is Exactly he's holding it in like he's holding it in.
Speaker 1 (32:26):
He already knows the answer to this question. He's just
not answering it.
Speaker 5 (32:30):
He's just laughing behind the microphone because he's silent.
Speaker 1 (32:33):
He muted himself. He muted himself. He's gonna come back
to me like, sorry, guys, I had to go to
the bathroom take a stinky poop.
Speaker 3 (32:43):
That's what he's going to Definitely a bathroom. He is not.
He is just sitting there and to tell us the microphone.
Speaker 1 (32:50):
Yeah, so I guess the answer to that question is
more than likely. But should we go into some of
the game found items? Yeah, yeah, for sure. I do
like the game. We tried to go over the game
found stuff with the Hero's Guide from.
Speaker 3 (33:11):
Yesterday.
Speaker 1 (33:11):
Whenever I get with the with those guys, it's always
just to talk about everything else, and it's like we've already.
Speaker 4 (33:19):
Yeah, I mean, but it's like it's going for like
twice as long as we normally go.
Speaker 1 (33:24):
It's always always a good time. If you haven't gone
and listened to them, go listen to them. And if
you haven't listened, they're they're good guys to talk to
a lot of fun. We we have learned now, Oh
let's see what he says. He says, got a B
(33:44):
R B.
Speaker 5 (33:46):
Yeah, I was just trashed talking him since he's not here.
Speaker 1 (33:50):
But we we learned Nico doesn't know how to do math.
That's a struggle for him.
Speaker 4 (33:56):
Yeah, yeah, I did hear that.
Speaker 1 (33:58):
But some of them things that we found out from
uh this is again a few weeks ago. Now, the
Collector Boosters, they're going that route with kind of following
I guess in Magic's footsteps of going with the Collector's Boosters,
but we didn't. I don't think we had a update
(34:19):
too quite yet at that point when we did it,
I want to say we did, but we we saw
some of the next tiers. We're getting a tier that
is called the Expert Pack. You'll get three seeds of
Unity displays, seventy two boosters and three Collectors Boosters. The
Supreme Pack, which is six seeds of Unity displays. That's
(34:41):
a lot of displays and six Collector boosters, and then
the Legendary Pack. Now I don't know what all this
is in American dollars, so you'll have to figure that
out on your own. Twenty four seeds of Unity displays
and boos and two displays of Collector boosters. Who that's
(35:04):
a lot of cards.
Speaker 4 (35:05):
That's a lot of money though, too wow?
Speaker 1 (35:07):
Okay, so what's two thousand euros? And okay, who wants
to do the math? Let's see two thousand year rows to.
Speaker 3 (35:21):
Six?
Speaker 1 (35:23):
All right, that's not that's not too bad? Yeah, twenty
three hundred bucks. I mean, that's a lot of cards.
Speaker 4 (35:29):
But are you getting a card with your face on it?
Speaker 1 (35:32):
In the game. Are we comparing this to KeyForge?
Speaker 3 (35:36):
Yeah, why not?
Speaker 4 (35:38):
It's the same price, about two thousand dollars.
Speaker 1 (35:40):
It is about the same price.
Speaker 4 (35:42):
You know, you're getting more boosters here, though.
Speaker 1 (35:44):
I don't think it seems fair. Equinox is as desperate
is maybe for money key Forges, you know, and don't
think so.
Speaker 3 (36:00):
But we got curious to see how it's going into
some crow funding.
Speaker 1 (36:07):
Well, this hasn't opened yet, has it.
Speaker 3 (36:12):
The retailers sign retailers haven't been.
Speaker 1 (36:16):
Yeah, but we get kind of a look at what
the what the collector boosters are going to be all about.
Looks like we're going to have a lot of full arts,
a lot of textless cards. It looks like the heroes
and even heroes pass are going to get some new
treatments on the cards. I want this Avenka serialization is
(36:43):
going to be a thing. I'm guessing this is artists
signatures signatures as well. Yeah, signatures by their artists. But
some of the older some of the older heroes are
also going to get the twenty twenty five Worlds. Twenty
twenty five heroes are going to be in them. Oh,
(37:07):
you probably saw them pass this week at the World's Getta. However,
to allow the entire community enjoy them, these illustrations will
be available exclusively in the Collectors Boosters. Their treatments will
be different as they will feature new serializations, as they
will feature neither serializations or signatures, but will also still
allow you to play with the arts. So good look
(37:32):
at arts. I dig them.
Speaker 3 (37:36):
They are very beautiful And I totally did not just
disappear for three minutes.
Speaker 1 (37:40):
Yes you did. That's okay, we understand.
Speaker 3 (37:43):
Yeah, he's only behind the microphone. We we know, we know.
Speaker 1 (37:47):
It's okay, just no, just know, we know. That's all
I'm gonna say. No, we know, we know, we know
you know, and you're refusing to tell us, and it's okay,
we understand. Ah, he knows.
Speaker 4 (38:04):
Are we sure that he knows?
Speaker 1 (38:07):
You may not be sure. I'm a thousand percent positive.
Speaker 3 (38:12):
Okay, This uh percentage is just uh super well laid
out as well. I love how it pint together.
Speaker 4 (38:26):
The no, that's a game found the World's one with
all the game recaps.
Speaker 3 (38:32):
Yeah, I'm still just scrolling back over and remembering how
great this World's article is and uh watching.
Speaker 4 (38:42):
Did you take part in compiling some of the things here?
Speaker 3 (38:47):
No, no, I did uh watch Talia start the process
and just uh like it turned out. Uh yeah, yeah,
pretty sure. She does a lot of the news articles
these days. So, but you guys have moved on to
the game. Found already moved into the game.
Speaker 1 (39:09):
Found talked a little bit about the tears. I don't
think there's much to talk about. The more you pay,
the more you get, right, yeah, collectors, boosters kind of
what's going into them. I mean, there's nothing much more
to say than all the cards look spectacular.
Speaker 4 (39:27):
I do like the.
Speaker 1 (39:29):
Serial cards. I'm glad that we're gonna be able to
get I don't even know what they want to call these,
these kind of digitization cards. I'm really I'm really happy
that we're all going to get the shot at them.
Serialized heroes is I guess kind of cool if you're
into that sort of thing. Maybe not for me, but
you know, if that's if that's your GM with heroes
(39:51):
and signatures are artist signatures and serializations, like that's that's
what's up. Obviously full arts, full art, full art, full art,
full art, and then all arts. Man, I should get
a check from these guys too. I think it was
my idea a while back, just saying.
Speaker 3 (40:12):
Yeah, you you for all had that I had the
first idea for all darts.
Speaker 1 (40:18):
Absolutely yeah.
Speaker 3 (40:22):
The a lot of the new stuff is super cool looking.
The art just gets just more and more insane each set,
and this set is no different. It looks, you know,
like we've got some more of the sky theme, some
(40:46):
sea sky mixture of sorts, and very very happy go lucky.
But as we've talked about, it's not all happy behind
the scenes in the.
Speaker 1 (41:02):
All the treach real foot.
Speaker 3 (41:05):
Yeah. So if if this looks, you know, too happy,
too bright, just know that maybe there's something very soon
or the the fans of the dark and other things.
Speaker 1 (41:23):
They kind of went into their game plan for twenty twenty.
I guess end of twenty five early twenty six organized play.
Not a ton looks like it changed here and Adventure
passes will be back, Expedition Kits will be back, Adventure
Kits will be back, two more championships will be back.
(41:45):
Nothing a ton changed until you get about halfway down
the article. Correct me if I'm wrong on that one.
I did read these a few days ago, so everything
serious say the change until we get into new formats
on b GA.
Speaker 4 (42:03):
I do think we skipped the score the story event
for season five or four. I think they said they
didn't have enough time to produce the storyline of it
for one set.
Speaker 1 (42:16):
Oh, I don't think that's in this article.
Speaker 4 (42:20):
Uh maybe not.
Speaker 1 (42:22):
No, it's not in this article. But new formats. They're
working with BGA to get more altered formats up there,
like the no Unique no Unique format and a thirty
nine card singleton, so maybe we'll kind of see what
(42:42):
happens with those. They have their kind of their roadmap
laid out for worlds. I just got bit by something
and I don't know what I got bit, like literally
just bit me and like my whole thing is a
whole leg is swilling.
Speaker 4 (42:57):
Like it.
Speaker 1 (42:58):
So again, more tournaments, last Chance qualifiers and BGA tournaments.
So they're planning eight to twelve qualifiers worldwide next year.
So I'm very similar to this year now.
Speaker 3 (43:19):
No, So there's a lot a lot of changes that
will be coming through organized play and just other things.
I don't think you already mentioned it, but the Adventure
Pass will be getting like an entire revamp as well
(43:39):
and have more rewards and more levels. You can also
get levels from playing on BGA now we don't have
the like exact you know, specific which games count, but
like fifteen games equal a level is one thing they
(43:59):
say said. And the competitive side there will be a
whole kind of revamp. It'll be similar, but it'll be different,
similar but different. The I so, after Worlds, I actually
(44:22):
had a meeting at the Equinox office, and obviously I
can't say too much yet.
Speaker 1 (44:32):
That's what those three minutes of silence were.
Speaker 3 (44:36):
Exactly. I'm it was the meeting. The meeting went really well.
The structure, if only the structure for this next upcoming
competitive season, is going to be really good. They are
listening to all of our feedback and taking that into
(44:59):
cons sideration, and you should start hearing more, seeing more
and maybe even having it start by late November, early December,
I think is the target.
Speaker 4 (45:16):
Yeah, starting the next season before the start of the
next year.
Speaker 3 (45:21):
Why not?
Speaker 1 (45:21):
Yeah, I mean you have you have I don't know, well,
I mean you have your your finals in the late October,
mid October. I guess they should actually early October. Really, so,
I mean, yeah, you're gonna start you know, October ends,
next year begins. You gotta remember, Dexter, some games aren't
(45:45):
like key forgery have like six months off you know.
Speaker 4 (45:51):
Actually, yeah, some people play.
Speaker 1 (45:53):
Yeah, some people care about their game.
Speaker 4 (45:55):
Doesn't take big breaks for no reason.
Speaker 1 (45:57):
Yeah yeah, exactly two year long high. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (46:01):
You know.
Speaker 5 (46:03):
What was people's reaction or reception to the conquest format
being at the World's Championship.
Speaker 3 (46:12):
I think when it was first announced, people were mixed
about it. There was the whole thing of like, oh,
now I have to have three decks, blah blah blah,
blah blah blah. I think after and during the perception
became a lot more positive. I think people from here
(46:34):
the only thing.
Speaker 1 (46:36):
So basically what you're saying is basic card game player mentality.
Speaker 3 (46:40):
Boo boo boo.
Speaker 1 (46:41):
I don't like this because I don't know how it's
going to go. And then it went well and they're like,
what kind of like this?
Speaker 3 (46:47):
Yep. There was only one player that I know for
certain that basically was just like, yeah, this format's not
for me and dropped out after I think like one
one round maybe. But the only other thing I heard
is the hope for qualification using a different format as well.
(47:13):
So some games will do you know, draft or sealed
can in you a qualification, commins only, commons only. I
don't just sting out there, but maybe maybe.
Speaker 1 (47:28):
Popper doesn't get you into the big leagues. Yeah, come on,
I feel like you've been around the block long enough
to know this.
Speaker 5 (47:37):
Those are the formats I enjoy the most personally.
Speaker 1 (47:40):
They are some of the best formats because they are
formats that typically make you be good at the game,
as opposed to just have a big pocketbook.
Speaker 5 (47:50):
Or they'll play a format which which restricts exclusively to
a single faction.
Speaker 3 (47:56):
You can't use out of faction cards, right.
Speaker 1 (48:01):
I agree with you. I'm not saying you're wrong. I'm
just saying you've been around the block long enough to
know that that shoul ain't gonna fly.
Speaker 5 (48:07):
Oh yeah, for sure, just speaking out loud, Yeah yeah, yeah, mean, Hey,
you know.
Speaker 1 (48:14):
The thing with them with Equinox is you never know,
right they I think they're a little more to most things.
So yeah, they're a little they're a little more receptive
than most two things. So you know, maybe you know,
I I don't foresee it, but you never know. Weirder
(48:35):
things have happened, that's for sure. Never say never. Let's
put it like that, Never say never, right, right right now.
Speaker 3 (48:45):
I agree.
Speaker 1 (48:46):
See Cole's tone said it all. He said never.
Speaker 3 (48:51):
I was also choking, so it was hard to respond.
Speaker 1 (48:55):
Choking on the words that you're trying to say that
because you're like, I can't say anything because I know all.
I don't know all, not at all knowing, no know
a lot more than the rest. I feel like this
show is nothing but a game of sesame street, Like
one of these things is not like the other. One
of these things just doesn't belong. And it's cold because
(49:16):
he knows. So like we're like, hey, what about this?
And Cole's just likehy don't you get your hopes out? Oh? Okay, cool.
Speaker 5 (49:26):
That's literally what somebody said at a convention I went
to recently for teachers and librarians, and you see the
sponsors and pokem on his like the diamond sponsor of
the whole thing.
Speaker 1 (49:40):
Yeah, but all right, what else do we gotta go
because I gotta go get this hand checked out? What
else we got for this week?
Speaker 3 (49:51):
That? I mean, that should about cover most of the
important things, most.
Speaker 1 (49:56):
Of the important fun things. Did you have Well, no,
the most important thing as call did you have a
good time?
Speaker 3 (50:03):
Yeah? Well that's why I was. I was going to say,
we covered, you know, the very important stuff, but I
can I can talk a little more about behind the
scenes and other interactions in and.
Speaker 1 (50:15):
Around well tell us about the interactions in and around worlds.
Speaker 3 (50:21):
Yeah, so we talked about the the broadcast everything. I
don't know if you guys already said it, but go
us a ring.
Speaker 1 (50:34):
I don't do that. Is that not allowed?
Speaker 3 (50:37):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (50:40):
Yeah, yeah, they were chanting there probably yep.
Speaker 3 (50:44):
So super super cool guy, super great player got to
play a Cube draft with him the day after in
our air BnB and also lose that so that was great.
So that yeah, the day after everything, those of us
that didn't really get to play, and some of us
(51:05):
who did play wanted to play, so we did a
cube had a more chill day, and then Simon and
I did a lot of touristy stuff besides the loof
which was closed. So we're supposed to be getting refunded
for our ticket.
Speaker 1 (51:24):
Why were they closed? Cole Robbie.
Speaker 3 (51:27):
Some people took a lift up to a second story
window and cut it open and stole some Napoleonic jewels
and ran away. I wonder where country they were from.
I think they got arrested today. Actually I just haven't.
I haven't. I haven't read about it yet. But we
(51:49):
went to Versailles. We went to a very overrated bookstore,
We went to the Arc de Triumph, went to the catacombs,
which was fucking off.
Speaker 4 (52:03):
Yeah, the catacombs are super cool. I really enjoyed visiting those.
Speaker 3 (52:07):
Yeah, definitely recommend going to the catacombs, especially if you're
into like.
Speaker 4 (52:12):
See lots of skeletons.
Speaker 3 (52:15):
Yeah, and I think it's a I think it's a
fairly low cost for like a lot.
Speaker 4 (52:19):
It's pretty cheap for a cool, long museum trip.
Speaker 3 (52:23):
Yeah. And if I had to do Versailles again and
I had limited time or limited money, I would say
just do the gardens because.
Speaker 4 (52:35):
Yeah, the gardens are the best part of versa for sure, and.
Speaker 3 (52:39):
So much time in there, and they have so many
cool statues and fountains, and you could probably find a
little grove to just go chilling and listen to what
everything and watch the trees and whatnot.
Speaker 4 (52:54):
I did manage to get lost and my phone died
while I was in the garden, so that was the thing.
But I found my parents eventually. This is probably like
four years ago when I went on a school trip
to France.
Speaker 1 (53:08):
Yeah, hold on, weren't you homeschool?
Speaker 4 (53:16):
I was until high school.
Speaker 3 (53:18):
Oh, his parents took him for a field trip.
Speaker 1 (53:22):
I wanted a school trip to France.
Speaker 4 (53:25):
Were obviously I went to a private school too.
Speaker 1 (53:30):
Yeah, okay, I thought you're a homeschool. I thought you
were all homeschool. So I'm like, dexter, that's called a
family vase.
Speaker 4 (53:38):
I mean that's kind of what it was.
Speaker 1 (53:41):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (53:42):
Yeah, interesting.
Speaker 5 (53:45):
Thing I did to think. The suspects are dual citizenship.
They're French and have another citizenship. Who is now looking
into the suspects. They're both citizenship ones from France, both
of them have dual citizenship for France, one of them
(54:06):
from Malae and Algeria, and so they're French, Algerian and
French Mali.
Speaker 3 (54:12):
He's like, wow, that is interesting. Unfortunate that they didn't
get away with it, but passport check. Well, I I
honestly don't know the exact origin of the jewels and
diamonds and stuff that were in the ground. I know
(54:32):
that they were made for Napoleon by like a famous
French jewel crafter, but I mean most of the stuff
in museums, and like European countries are all stolen from other.
Speaker 4 (54:45):
Countries, so yeah, I mean, if they were stealing it back,
should be theirs.
Speaker 1 (54:52):
Cole hates rich people.
Speaker 4 (54:55):
Too.
Speaker 1 (54:56):
Yeah, but I don't know if you've caught out of
that and all rich people.
Speaker 3 (55:01):
Also, don't you You didn't you watch Black Panther one?
Maybe you know, maybe it was just some kill kill
longer vibes.
Speaker 1 (55:09):
Was there a black panther too? Oh? There was a
black panther to never mind? That was a question. Yeah,
but yeah, because it was long and extraordinarily sad and
did not fit the vibe of any other Marvel movie ever.
Speaker 3 (55:22):
But yeah, it was sad for a bunch of reasons.
But Paris. Paris was great. Yeah, it was a lot
of cool stuff to see, had some some good food.
Does not smell or it's not dirty as some people
would lead you to believe. Big cities are big cities,
(55:47):
so you know, you gotta be used to some things
here and there.
Speaker 1 (55:51):
Sure, did you go to any like normal places? And
when I say normal, like, well, actually you're vegan, so
you probably didn't. I was gonna say, like, did you
hit up like, because like I'd be interested in like
the like the French McDonald's, Like, what's the difference, How
is it different from American McDonald's.
Speaker 3 (56:09):
I did actually go to French McDonald's the first night
because fun fun vegan fact of the episode. The fries
in the United States are not vegan because they're covered
in beef fat and a lot of the other stuff
isn't because it has all sorts of stuff in it.
But in France, they not only have vegan chicken nuggets,
(56:34):
but their fries are also vegan in France, and.
Speaker 5 (56:40):
Call them vegan chicken nuggets because that's what they are.
Speaker 3 (56:46):
Vegan nuggets. It's just vegan nuggets. Sure, sure, sure, sure.
Speaker 1 (56:52):
Because there's no chicken in them. You can't call them
chicken nuggets. There's no chicken in them. It's vegan chicken.
Speaker 3 (56:58):
What is vegan chicken depends on what the brand is.
Speaker 1 (57:03):
It can't be vegan. You can't have a vegan version
of chicken.
Speaker 3 (57:08):
Oh, I understand the confusion. You think I'm saying chicken.
I'm saying chicken.
Speaker 1 (57:16):
So that's no. No, you can't have a vegan version
of chicken. Chicken is chicken and it's meat. No matter
which way you look. At it.
Speaker 3 (57:28):
And have it too, But either way it's very overpriced.
Because there are a couple of fast food chains in
France that are overpriced, and I think Loki was saying
McDonald's is one of them, and I can't remember the
(57:48):
other one that's definitely over.
Speaker 1 (57:50):
The vegan Kentuck Kentucky Fried Chicken.
Speaker 3 (57:53):
Yeah maybe we did. We did walk past one, but
we did not go in.
Speaker 1 (57:57):
Did they have chicken too?
Speaker 3 (58:00):
Probably? The fries were about is boring and uh not
great as I remember, and the nuggets were good.
Speaker 1 (58:11):
Nuggets. There you go.
Speaker 5 (58:12):
Yeah, that's a general thing thinking of the European past
wee changing because in the Netherlands it's the same thing.
Speaker 1 (58:19):
Yeah, because there's no added sugar, like they don't add
just some as sugar to it. So you know, it's
just it's food, it's actual real food.
Speaker 3 (58:29):
Yeah, it was. It was just the thing of like
what people always say with McDonald's fries, if you get
them fresh, they're good, but when they're like two minutes old,
they're just not great. It was basically the same as
I always remembered. So oh okay, yeah, I ate lots
of lots of good food. Other than that, there was
(58:52):
a lot of different places with options. One of the
annoying things that I kept running into is they don't
list every single ingredient on a dish. So there were
a couple of times where that screwed me up. But
other than that, it was good food a lot of
(59:14):
I have a lot of other places I need to
try when I go back, hopefully next year. There's like
a handmade Mochi place.
Speaker 1 (59:23):
I don't know if you all caught that, Just to
let the listenerer know, I don't know if they caught it,
but you know nothing.
Speaker 3 (59:39):
The airport, oh my gosh. The airport definitely don't worry
about getting to your flight early because the Charles de
Gaulle Airport is incredibly nice, very fancy, has like Prada
and all of those stores, but most importantly has very
nice seating, very ample seating, and they also have at
(01:00:02):
least in the terminal. I was in PS five stations
to go play PS five while you wait for your planes.
Speaker 5 (01:00:07):
Really, man, when I swee stopped by the the airport
is Spain and Madrid was kind of like that too.
Speaker 1 (01:00:16):
And here I am paying for Wi Fi on Southwest
like a sucker.
Speaker 3 (01:00:21):
Yeah, capitalism had the finest.
Speaker 1 (01:00:25):
Yeah, just like you to Spain.
Speaker 3 (01:00:27):
Yeah, give it to Spain.
Speaker 5 (01:00:29):
Be sure not to ask for the menu, because if
you do, they'll send you a whole dinner course meal.
Speaker 3 (01:00:37):
I did that. Yeah, that is that is good to know.
Speaker 5 (01:00:44):
Go back, yes, the men, and they gave you a
whole dinner course. Yes, in Spain a menu, it's a
whole dinner course. I mean you got your money's worth, right,
I definitely did. With a coffee at the end. It
(01:01:04):
was pretty nice. It was pretty nice, wonderful.
Speaker 3 (01:01:08):
Astro in the live chat asks if we got any
good uniques from the Moonlight Jellyfish Trade or the Jellyfish
Lottery as I was calling.
Speaker 4 (01:01:19):
I did not.
Speaker 1 (01:01:20):
I didn't.
Speaker 3 (01:01:20):
I yeah, mine were not very I saw some people
get some pretty good ones. I think mine were both factions.
I don't care about playing, so I've already forgotten what
they were. Lyra Ra, what about you know well that
(01:01:42):
I would like it if I got Lyra I was thinking.
Speaker 5 (01:01:46):
I was actually thinking back now that you were talking
about uniques about the collector Booster, and I'm starting to
think at first I was gonna iffy on it, but
it's actually a pretty good deal for people.
Speaker 3 (01:01:57):
That are unique hunting.
Speaker 5 (01:01:58):
Oh yeah, that's actually it's way cheaper to get collector
boosters and the whole booster display, which is interesting.
Speaker 3 (01:02:08):
If you want uniques collector boosters are.
Speaker 1 (01:02:15):
I want to wrap this up with you guys with
the tierlesss. What did you guys think of the tierless
do you guys think Look, he kept to his word
in saying that this was more of a pre order
or do you think they kind of sailed ship on
that one.
Speaker 3 (01:02:36):
Still? Yeah to me, like a pre order to me, Yeah,
there's no stretch goals or anything like that. It's just
for the most part, a straight up pre order. There
will be you know, limited quantities of certain things, but
other than that, they've already stated like the amount of
(01:02:58):
collector booster is produced will be you know, what is ordered, right,
and they've they've said that as recently as today. The
only thing that's interesting is we don't really have insight
into like the LGS version of it. Yeah, I've after
(01:03:22):
I've talked with a couple and they've actually looked through
all the information. They're like, oh, yeah, this is this
is actually pretty decent.
Speaker 5 (01:03:30):
And the here in US and there's a sort of
already looking into it.
Speaker 3 (01:03:37):
You've been in there Deckster ArcLight Gaming.
Speaker 4 (01:03:39):
Yeah, yeah, I've been there a couple of times. I
went there for two pre releases. We had I think
six people the first time and for the second m hm.
So we had some people show up, I got some
games in I won three to zero both times.
Speaker 1 (01:03:55):
Of course, I'm not only have you guys at this
so we can talk more about it next week. I
feel like this is not a pre order.
Speaker 4 (01:04:09):
Just because a discount is what you mean.
Speaker 1 (01:04:12):
And you're allowed, you're allowed to buy a lot. So
I mean, let's be honest, Like if I was like, hey,
just going to order them at a discount, why would
I just not order my two thousand dollars legendary pack?
I mean twenty four twenty four displays? That's I don't
(01:04:34):
what come? How many is it to a displays? It's
six to a display or twelve to a display? I'm sorry?
Is it six displays to a case or twelve displays
to a case? It's usually six, but I know sometimes
it's depending on who it is, is twelve. So if
it's six, obviously that's four cases of Seeds of Unity.
(01:04:57):
And then you're also getting to just two Collector Booster displays,
which are twelve, right, that's a lot, Like I don't
if I'm ordering that much. I don't know if I'm
ordering anything from my and I guess they could limit it.
I suppose. Oh, and it's really and it's only in
(01:05:20):
the United I think that's only in the United States, right,
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (01:05:27):
But the big thing about the game found is you're
seeing prices for the normal person. You're lgs should have
the prices are.
Speaker 1 (01:05:40):
Going to be different. They should have competitive pricing. But
still like, this is like and maybe there's gonna be limited.
Maybe they're gonna be like, oh, there's only like ten
legendary packs and the first ten people who get them
get them.
Speaker 3 (01:05:52):
Right.
Speaker 1 (01:05:52):
I guess I can't say that. I know we know
that yet because the project hasn't dropped, But like, you know,
I mean, even six six six seeds United displays, that's
quite a bit. I mean, obviously, these collector Boosters, some
people are gonna buy a couple of boxes, get the
commons and common get the or should say, the comments
and the rares and the oofs that they need, and
(01:06:13):
then they're gonna be after they're gonna be after these
these collector boosters so whole and it's just as a
even as an LGS I'm kind of sitting here going
like what do I order? Right, if I have a
hardcore group, I'm gonna want a lot of collector boosters, right,
because that's where that's where all the goodies are gonna be. Right.
And then but like I want to have like some
(01:06:36):
stuff because you know, drafting and other things of that
nature where you need booster packs. Like I don't know,
I just when I saw it, I'm kind of like,
this is exactly what key Forge does. Like it's no different,
and that's gonna be a problem for the lgs's maybe
not so much overseas, but here it definitely will be
(01:06:57):
like they're not gonna like this. But again, we don't
know that, we don't know quantities, we don't know limitations,
I suppose really on it yet.
Speaker 3 (01:07:05):
Yeah, so the biggest limitation to the average consumer is
going to be that they cannot get very many collector
boosters and they're going to be very limited. How it
works for lgs's is they get a certain amount of
collector boosters for free free booster box that they or.
Speaker 1 (01:07:26):
Okay, yeah, see and that's cool too, but like, now
I gotta sit. See here's the issue that I'm gonna
have with that. And in theory it sounds like, oh,
buy enough collector, buy enough boxes, you get enough collector boosters. Well,
I my, if I have a pretty heavy fan base
in my area, they're gonna want the booster boxes. So
now I got to sit on these booster boxes. While
(01:07:48):
I guess maybe if they're good enough price, the cost
of the packs will make up for having to have
this dead product on my shelf.
Speaker 3 (01:07:59):
I don't know every store that sells altered should want
a booster box. I don't know why they wouldn't.
Speaker 1 (01:08:04):
Yeah, they'd want all booster box but I want more
collector boosters that I'm gonna want regular booster boxes.
Speaker 3 (01:08:11):
Yeah, the minimum is really really low and really fair
in my opinion.
Speaker 1 (01:08:16):
Well, I guess we'll have to again, we don't have
the insight. I wish I should get Dan doctor Sheep
to get his store to kind of maybe poke around
on this for me.
Speaker 4 (01:08:30):
Yeah, I mean to deal with altered stuff.
Speaker 1 (01:08:33):
Good luck with that. Yeah, but he'll like if it's
just information, he'll get me information. But yeah, sure, but
you know he'll get me information because I'm a little
I mean again, I'm interested. But if I've got a
heavy player base, they're gonna want collector boosters, right, They're
not gonna want regular boosters. They're gonna want the collector boosters.
(01:08:54):
And if I got to order so many booster boxes
to get collector boosters, cool, But now am I going
to be stuck with these regular booster packs that nobody's
really interested in because the collector boosters are so much.
Speaker 3 (01:09:09):
Better only if you are very bad at selling in
my opinion, Well, because the collector Boosters are not equivalent
to regular boosters.
Speaker 1 (01:09:21):
No they're not. But like like I said, you're at
But you got to remember a lot of people are
going to order through this game found, so they're not
gonna need booster boxes.
Speaker 3 (01:09:31):
A lot of people have stated they will uh support
their lgs first and foremost. I've seen that mentioned Mini Mini.
Speaker 1 (01:09:38):
But I think that's support my LGS until I realize
what kind of Until until the discount becomes real, right maybe,
So it's it's gonna be a wait and see, right,
Like I just I hope this doesn't kill the LGS
and then make them not want to support Altered whatsoever.
Speaker 3 (01:09:58):
But if if LGS looks at it correctly and plans efficiently,
they should have a much much better deal than the
average person and be able to get a lot more
of the special things. The important thing is for people
that don't have an LGS, they do have the game
(01:10:20):
found now as an option.
Speaker 1 (01:10:22):
No, I get that too, just I am a firm, firm,
firm believer, and the LGS is so key to a
game's success, right, You've got to have lgs's adopted and
get people in there and playing the game for a
(01:10:43):
game to continue. Now, it sounds like the European market
is much more into altered than the US market, So
that is a thing that exists, but we'll have to
wait and see.
Speaker 3 (01:10:54):
I mean, yeah, as far as they have stated in
everything they have done, they are still committed to the LGS,
like support as a As an interesting example, they've kind
of always been like, we're not really interested in being
in big box stories and blah blah blah, because we
(01:11:16):
want to support LGS. Is Richbound is already going to
be in big box stores and is considering even more so.
There's kind of.
Speaker 1 (01:11:30):
I could have told you that before that game was
even released it'll be another And to be honest with you,
I get the hunch, and I could be wrong, but
I get the hunch that it's going to be another
flash in the pan. You know, it'll be popular for
a year or two and then it'll just kind of disappear.
Speaker 3 (01:11:53):
Rich bound.
Speaker 1 (01:11:54):
Yeah, Nah, the IP is too strong.
Speaker 3 (01:11:57):
Strong I p success forever.
Speaker 1 (01:12:00):
I'll hold on. Yes, strong, I agree with you. Strong
IP does lead to success. However, it is a group
of people who aren't used to playing that style of game,
So it's gonna start strong. I just don't know if
it'll be able to hold on to that success. But
I've been wrong before. I'm okay with being wrong. It's
(01:12:20):
all good. I'm gonna check out my Packers score. They
scored another three points, so this is awesome. Thirty five nineteen,
Go pack Go beat up that Aaron Rodgers for those
of you who watched the watch the foods ball. But
we will, we will see. We'll probably talk more next
week as the altered campaign goes live on Game found.
(01:12:43):
It actually goes live. Ah, what two days? Let's see
what is today? Twenty six?
Speaker 3 (01:12:49):
It goes live on Tuesday, right, Yeah, has a has
a countdown it's.
Speaker 1 (01:12:55):
A weird time of because of it's in it's in French. Yeah,
I wasna doesn't exactly line up with American times.
Speaker 3 (01:13:06):
I was gonna say, I just left the page, but
you should.
Speaker 1 (01:13:10):
At least one day fourteen hours. So yeah, it'll go
live on pretty much late night tow No, it'll be
early Tuesday morning.
Speaker 3 (01:13:26):
The last most important of things is make sure you
follow the Game Found so that we can get a
nice new alternate art Buddha once it hits five thousand followers.
I have all my accounts getting closer and closer, very
(01:13:46):
slowly but surely. So.
Speaker 1 (01:13:48):
Yeah, I have followed on all three of my accounts, but.
Speaker 4 (01:13:52):
Boy, I have three Game Found accounts.
Speaker 1 (01:13:55):
Your business, dexter, God, mind your business, boy shit.
Speaker 3 (01:14:00):
Get around the questions on keyboards campaigns.
Speaker 1 (01:14:02):
Didn't didn't your mom ever? Didn't your mama ever tell
you don't start no ship, won't be no ship.
Speaker 4 (01:14:09):
No, she never said those words.
Speaker 1 (01:14:11):
Well there they are wise words to live by, just
letting you know. Okay, But with that being said, I
think that's where we're gonna end it here. We'll see
you all next week for the Game Found update and
see where that ended up. We'll see you next week.
Speaker 4 (01:14:30):
Later.
Speaker 3 (01:14:31):
Good day people, Oh.
Speaker 1 (01:14:38):
Miss piece?
Speaker 3 (01:14:44):
Can I just be.
Speaker 4 (01:14:51):
The shoot decade? Can you sell me? Yes?
Speaker 2 (01:15:00):
Side to bring the dead back to life gave me rouses.
Lad I tried just to kill me on more time.
Speaker 5 (01:15:11):
Now I'm coming co
