This is what poor choices look like.
Speaker 5 (01:08):
First, well, I have a nine to fifty flight that
should land in Vegas at just a few minutes before midnight.
So we do have some plans to hit some drinking establishments.
Speaker 4 (01:22):
But no, no, the script clubs there.
Speaker 3 (01:24):
What are you guys doing with your lives? If you guys,
are you guys are going to Vegas hitting zero strip clubs?
Speaker 4 (01:31):
It is it is early again.
Speaker 5 (01:33):
I've been up since four am our time, so it'll
be two am when I land.
Speaker 3 (01:37):
Did you teach me?
Speaker 4 (01:39):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (01:39):
Yeah, Oh so you went into work and now are
flying out? Nice? Perfect?
Speaker 5 (01:45):
Yeah, I went ahead and taught today.
Speaker 4 (01:49):
I went ahead and had thirty minutes of a break period.
Speaker 5 (01:52):
I put all of the sub plans together, finished that up,
and then I.
Speaker 4 (01:57):
Saw two soccer games, and now I'm.
Speaker 3 (01:58):
Here nice great, And then we have the guy that
I stole from help from future self suck at Sydney.
We have King of Blaine.
Speaker 2 (02:10):
Don't worry about it, guys. I'm just here to practice
my swears. You need to get some fucking swears in here.
Speaker 3 (02:15):
We've got to get some. You can't.
Speaker 4 (02:18):
Hey, I gotta get in a couple of dons either.
I'm not for you.
Speaker 2 (02:23):
I'm good for it.
Speaker 4 (02:24):
No, I'll good for it.
Speaker 3 (02:26):
He's good for it.
Speaker 4 (02:27):
Are you putting this twenty down for? Is that what's happening.
Speaker 2 (02:30):
I'm slapping a twenty on the counter and I'm busting
some of these fuckers out right now.
Speaker 4 (02:34):
Oh my goodness, we're already, we're already on strike.
Speaker 3 (02:37):
This is my kind of episode I'm I'm in.
Speaker 2 (02:42):
But this one's not a family friendly. It's it's late
at night because I'm on the East Coast and so
I had to stay up and by late at night,
I mean nine thirty pm.
Speaker 3 (02:49):
Yeah, well that's late for us old people. So I
mean I'm normally in bad by now too, so but
we have tons.
Speaker 5 (02:55):
I mean your counter your counterpart, Dazbar can handle it
all the time.
Speaker 4 (02:58):
So I just I think you're a.
Speaker 2 (02:59):
Little Drasco is a party animal. Oh no, it's crazy
because because Nick is Nick is my elder too, but
he's a He's a beast.
Speaker 4 (03:09):
He is the beast. Maybe that's why you made it
into the Canadian podcast.
Speaker 2 (03:12):
Yeah, Drazz is a machine that turns liquor into energy
like I've never seen. It's awesome. It's such a skill.
I wish I had it. I just get sleepy.
Speaker 3 (03:24):
He becomes such a wealth of knowledge too, after he's
had a few.
Speaker 2 (03:29):
I mean he always is, but he's much more. Yeah,
he spouts, he spouts. I love it.
Speaker 3 (03:33):
You just starts spouting off like you guys have probably
heard our Baltimore episode. We're like watching something at a
at a bar and he's like I know this, and
he just starts spouting off random movie facts. So we're like,
what the fuck this is? Random, you do. We do
have a ton, a ton a ton to go over today.
(03:54):
Today the game Found has gone live for Draconian Measures.
We are as upright yow, one hundred and twenty five
thy one seventeen with three hundred and thirty six backers.
We have gotten the very first uh set name for
(04:16):
set the set out Set eleven, I guess is the
way it is? What is that? Liam? Uh?
Speaker 2 (04:23):
Set eleven?
Speaker 1 (04:24):
Wow?
Speaker 2 (04:24):
We have that many sets already.
Speaker 3 (04:25):
This measures is the tenth set milestone as they put
it in there, wow in their things. So Set eleven
hope it lives.
Speaker 2 (04:33):
Up to that. Maybe Set eleven is going to be
scattered Reality?
Speaker 3 (04:39):
Uh?
Speaker 2 (04:39):
Do you want me to read this this cool Game
Found update absolute word for word in my radio voice. Yeah,
all right, So basically new set Set eleven shattered Reality.
The darkness spreads, threatening to overwhelm the entire Crucible and
plunge all of life into the eternal black void. That
sounds depressed, Yeah, and then it sounds like, uh, that's
(05:04):
pretty much it. Where who's going to stop it? The
only certainty's uncertainty, real, real cheery stuff.
Speaker 3 (05:11):
I'm not logged in. I can't vote on the poll.
Because the Paul actually says which fragment of reality would
you most like to reserve? And it was Aquan that's,
you know, basically all the things, Aquen's fairies, goblins, which
is im Smunk's mutant spile. How could you even put
a poll like this when you don't know the results
of the certain Darkness?
Speaker 2 (05:33):
You know. I think they're kind of just swinging for
the fences. But I'm very interested to know why goblins
are below politicians on this.
Speaker 5 (05:42):
We do preview so that they could be trying to
gather the you know, perspective from the audience here, mmm.
Speaker 2 (05:53):
Just getting like a feel for the well, okay, general opinion.
Speaker 3 (05:57):
Here's an idea, right, Why are goblins below politicians? Politicians
are typically dinosaurs. I don't think we've had a lot
of politicians outside of the dinosaurian range. Am I wrong
on that?
Speaker 4 (06:11):
Physical? Smaller?
Speaker 3 (06:15):
Well, goblins aren't are in Goblins are in.
Speaker 2 (06:20):
Place.
Speaker 3 (06:21):
The only one who really cares about Brobn ares Sheep.
I don't know what he'll run around yelling if brob
Like gets eliminated via a certain darkness.
Speaker 2 (06:30):
Freaking is also an option, So Brocken isn't a Bracken
prefer so that's that's also bra. That's a much better bra,
in my opinion, than than goblins.
Speaker 3 (06:41):
Goblins are typically the worser version of anything in Bromnar.
Speaker 2 (06:45):
I will yeah, dude, you really want slimy jark over
brick nasty?
Speaker 3 (06:50):
Like No, I'll take a briock nasty over a slimy
jerk any day.
Speaker 4 (06:55):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (06:57):
So, I think I still have a couple more on
my ta have a twenty.
Speaker 3 (07:01):
You got plenty, don't you guys have it?
Speaker 2 (07:03):
You guys take venmo right?
Speaker 3 (07:05):
Oh yeah, so so here's here's a fun thing. At
the end of Ember episode, uh, you walk collects and
it's donated to charity.
Speaker 2 (07:15):
I'm down for.
Speaker 5 (07:16):
We are also establishing that if you do not pay
up to the charity and need that base, punches are
granted from arbitrator.
Speaker 4 (07:22):
Yes, and that could happen at the next ball tour.
Speaker 3 (07:24):
Yes, well, neither of us are going to. So you see, absolutely,
you can definitely paying the world. That's not all.
Speaker 2 (07:37):
At the end world at the next Yeah, don't worry,
I'll pay it.
Speaker 4 (07:40):
I'm not going to for you.
Speaker 2 (07:43):
I'm not going to play in worlds with a busted lip.
I'll pay up.
Speaker 3 (07:46):
Well, you have a good Worlds invite. Some of us
have kind of a jump sealed. I'm excited.
Speaker 4 (07:52):
I want to see have you ever seen at Worlds?
That's what happens. If you don't pay off, you come
your glasses are all broke. Leading.
Speaker 3 (08:01):
Yeah, that was a funny station. I told that story
on Altered Corner and people still don't believe that that
like happened. I'm like, oh no, this is what Keith
Forge provides for you. Just endless amounts of pain and
or pain. That's it. It's just a lot of angry
people walking around all week.
Speaker 5 (08:21):
You forgot, you forgot the licker and joy and lots
of liquor and pain.
Speaker 3 (08:28):
I don't see the joy. I get to hang out
with sheep.
Speaker 4 (08:32):
So here's the thing.
Speaker 5 (08:33):
If you don't have pain, you won't be able to
see the thrue euphoria that the joy will come.
Speaker 4 (08:38):
I walk over here.
Speaker 3 (08:44):
All I hear is.
Speaker 2 (08:49):
That's not true. That's not true. You stayed. You stayed
with the Redacted boys in Baltimore, and and I'll tell
you what we are, drops of sunshine.
Speaker 3 (08:57):
I'll tell you what I might have to stay with
the Redacted Boys for I don't know that was a
good time.
Speaker 2 (09:04):
A good time.
Speaker 4 (09:05):
We have traded one bookie.
Speaker 5 (09:07):
Uh, please know Liam that he snores like a banshee.
And no, no, like you had been the door and
you still hear him. So created the Wookie and is your.
Speaker 3 (09:21):
And you want to know what none of the rejected guy, well,
actually rejected all teammates. It's it's complicated. I tried to
merge the houses because I no longer want to be
in charge and I was shot down.
Speaker 2 (09:33):
Yeah, we were too slippery for you. We're not We're
not for that one. None of us are doing any redemption.
Speaker 4 (09:39):
Yeah, we're trying to comp in real life.
Speaker 2 (09:42):
Yeah, we are keeping playing. We like Blaine, you can't.
You can't have him. No, Blaine's Oblivion, Oblivion nights, Oblivion
Night is our boy.
Speaker 3 (09:51):
He's may see as well.
Speaker 5 (09:54):
So you guys have put up quite a few personalized
art cards. And speaking of of game founds, there were
more that went out from Team AC members today, so
and honestly quite a few.
Speaker 4 (10:06):
They actually opened up more spots, So that was really
nice to.
Speaker 3 (10:08):
Say they opened up a bunch more slots. That was Actually,
you're not even looking at the sheet. You already know
what I was headed into next so we did get
a chance to see the slots today, all the new stuff.
The biggest I think surprise to me here was traditionally
the crucible in me or the Art the Art pledge
(10:32):
got expanded from five pledgebackers to twenty. It as well
also sold out, so a lot more people are going
to be in this game. I think maybe two thousand
dollars is too little.
Speaker 4 (10:50):
Right now.
Speaker 3 (10:51):
Oh sorry your idea. I'm just saying, like, if you're
selling it, like, so think about that. Right. So their
their goal again this time round, which I don't know
how much of a goal it is. Is it's fifty
thousand dollars.
Speaker 2 (11:08):
Yeah, twenty twenty minutes.
Speaker 3 (11:10):
Sure find it in twenty minutes. Right. My guess is
that's how long it took everyone to fill out their
two thousand dollars because if you think about it, twenty
slots right at two thousand dollars apiece? Right, Yes, sir,
you do, you're doing you're doing the math.
Speaker 2 (11:27):
There we're looking on a cool forty forty just off
of the Art pledges. Yeah, hey man, I'm not mad
I snuck in there. I'm gonna be I want to
be in the game.
Speaker 3 (11:39):
You're gonna be You're gonna be on a card.
Speaker 2 (11:41):
Yeah, dude, everybody get excited for a new crappy, untamed card.
I'm not even I'm not even mad about it. Like,
if I can talk myself, if I can talk talk Luke,
I'm just gonna butter him up at KFC. I'm gonna
be like, hey, Luke, let me buy you a drake man, Like,
we got to talk about this, this art fledge. I
(12:02):
need you to make a decent untamed card for me.
Speaker 4 (12:04):
Liam.
Speaker 5 (12:05):
I know you're good for a drink, but it's going
to take a couple.
Speaker 4 (12:08):
He is a very large man and he's good for drinking, so.
Speaker 2 (12:12):
He's a big guy. Lucas, I already already put two
k on the pledge. I'm good for a little more
to make it good.
Speaker 3 (12:21):
Right right now, he can make it to Worlds and
maybe buy Luke a few drinks. But after that, it's
got to figure it out them out. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (12:29):
Yeah, you guys are going to see you walk into
tours in twenty twenty six.
Speaker 5 (12:33):
Yes, we did see the early hit of twenty minutes. Again,
that seems to be pretty normal.
Speaker 4 (12:39):
We have a very hardcore.
Speaker 5 (12:40):
Group that is appreciating and enjoying this game, and that
is beautiful to see. My question really comes where do
we think the total amount is going to end up?
Just as a predication three boys, because I think that's
a better tail. And that's why I think that they
increase the amount of pledges that are a little bit
more our a higher pledge amount based on people who
(13:03):
were really invested in the movie.
Speaker 3 (13:05):
Where were we last time? About three hundred thousand?
Speaker 2 (13:08):
Yeah, I don't know. I was just going to look
at the the graphs. So are gr ended up just
under five hundred k? Amber skies ended at like four
hundred twenty five something like that according to this graph? Wait,
this is this? Yeah, this is funds pledged and then
(13:30):
PV ended at like two fifty, which was a pretty
steep drop.
Speaker 4 (13:36):
Mm hmm.
Speaker 3 (13:38):
Let's see.
Speaker 2 (13:39):
I'm thinking we're going to be under that. Man, I'm
thinking it's going to be like maybe just over two hundred.
Speaker 4 (13:47):
And that's the question.
Speaker 5 (13:48):
So is it a steep drop or is it Hey,
we're still hitting about two thirty fifty mark.
Speaker 3 (13:55):
I was going to say roughly three hundred thousand.
Speaker 4 (13:59):
Oh, I don't know. I And that's why I think
it's irrelevant question to ask. I guess for me. I
think that we're gonna be closer the two twenty.
Speaker 2 (14:07):
Five he's on the art. Yeah, I don't know how
accurate these are. I only see eighteen days on this.
Speaker 1 (14:19):
Maybe that's not the full amount.
Speaker 3 (14:21):
Well, there's eighteen days, and then they give you a
handful of days. Yeah, to buy, right, you could add on,
you could do your add ons, so you could add on.
I'll give you what because another big thing here, I
just I kind of noticed. I don't know if this
was in previous game founds. It was something that caught
(14:41):
my eye as I was scrolling through the add on portal.
You could pledge a dollar, yeah, a good deal and
get access to the add ons, just the add ons.
Speaker 2 (14:57):
Do you get a do you get the stretch awards?
Speaker 4 (15:03):
No?
Speaker 5 (15:03):
Typically it's still you know, in the past you had
to have a certain Tiernay.
Speaker 2 (15:10):
Yeah, it's straight up says it's not eligible. I mean
it's still not bad though, Like you're just looking at
a dec yep or like if you're going to spend
everything on your lgs, but you just want to full foil,
you know.
Speaker 3 (15:23):
Yeah, I mean that's that's one of the big things.
Speaker 4 (15:29):
That like the full foil is the mean, yes, I'm
pretty excited.
Speaker 2 (15:34):
I'm really excited for the full art too. I love
a borderless you know what I mean. I think that's
going to be super cool.
Speaker 3 (15:40):
But it's just it's again, it's one of those things
where we've talked about it countless times. Even if it's
full oil, there's there's no there's no guarantee it's going
to be any good. That's for sure. That's a lot
because I mean, don't get me if it's going in
the pile of shame.
Speaker 2 (15:58):
Yeah, well, I mean it's a collectem right, like you
don't want to get too too many of them. When
when we got the foil decks at our lgs, you know,
I was getting at least one a week just to see.
I didn't get anything good, but I mean, you know,
you gotta you gotta try your luck. I think this
was just a little bit fancier.
Speaker 3 (16:17):
Well I guess did they I didn't click on it,
and that's probably that's on me. When they say full foil,
do they mean full foil this time?
Speaker 2 (16:31):
This deck features foil treatment applied to all cards. The
decks especially made for each order. Yeah, all cards on
the deck. So I mean, I think Dead Sink brought
this up in one of the discords. Uh, it's gonna
be interesting to like see what kind of foil it is,
like if it's just flat foil, or if it's like,
you know, like a shape treatment type delio.
Speaker 3 (16:54):
My assumption is will do more of what they've been doing,
where you know, somebody will go, I.
Speaker 2 (16:59):
Don't know, man, that's a lot of graphic design work
for a full set of cards.
Speaker 3 (17:03):
It is it is, And that's why I said, like,
I think they should actually tone it back, like maybe
you don't do the art, maybe you go the old
school magic route where you kind of just foil the borders, right,
not the borders.
Speaker 2 (17:17):
I'm wondering if maybe they're doing AI.
Speaker 3 (17:22):
That as well. Could be We don't want to start
that argument in this chat.
Speaker 2 (17:28):
Pretend I didn't say anything.
Speaker 4 (17:30):
You are I don't know, and that is right there,
thank you?
Speaker 2 (17:36):
All right, yeah, all right, well I'll be on my
best behavior.
Speaker 3 (17:43):
A few days ago we did get to the meet.
Speaker 4 (17:46):
The or boros oboros boros.
Speaker 3 (17:53):
Right, who knows? Meet the dragons. That's what everybody's going
to call them anyways, the dragons. So yeah, we didn't
get a quick look at some of the mechanics for
the new set. One of them is going to be
called entrench. Creatures with entrenched will allow players to decide
whether to ready them or not, or ready or keep
(18:14):
them exhausted during the ready cards come. This can be
used as some creatures gain power for those exhausted around them.
It's like noxious iron ox it has in trench. At
the start of your turn. If it has exhausted, you
destroy an enemy creature, or you have Prime Authority, which
(18:36):
is an action card ready and exhausted creature. If there
are more exhausted friendly creatures than exhausted enemy creatures, you
gain two member. Okay, yeah, I mean let's ask let's
go to our.
Speaker 2 (18:52):
Others.
Speaker 3 (18:52):
Yeah, let's go to our new segment. Ask a Vault Warrior,
why do these cards suck?
Speaker 2 (19:00):
Because you want to reap probably right, you know, like
you probably probably don't don't want to leave leave cards
exhausted all the time. I think that it's really going
to depend on what the effects are, you know, because
it's like if you think about articulated ren you know,
like you get to choose which creature you're going to
exhaust and so you know that's that's kind of cool
(19:22):
because you get to draw a card, but on this
you have to exhaust the creature that has the effect.
Speaker 3 (19:26):
Right, well, it would just okay, so noxious iron ox.
I don't know if it's any good, and maybe it's
really good and we just haven't got to play with
it because at the start of your turn, if it's
if it's exhausted, you get to kill an anime creature.
Prime authority. Not so bad because this is just an
action card, so you can literally play it at the end.
(19:47):
You know, towards the end of your turn, you're probably
going to have more exhausted creatures than your opponent to
gain two ember.
Speaker 2 (19:53):
Well, so here's what Here's what they don't suck is
because if you if you play them and you're not
planning on going back into that how the effect is
just free sure, right because you're gonna ready at the
end of your turn anyway, if you call a different house,
you can't use that creature like YadA, YadA, YadA. It's
just free. And then two, they don't suck because if
you take a turn and you reap with them, then
(20:15):
you can leave them exhausted and go into a different
house next turn as well, you know what I mean.
So it's like you don't have to do it right away,
especially if they're beefy, right. But at the same time,
you know, plans change, right, Like if you if you
play a creature, you keep it exhausted and then your
opponent wipes the other creatures of a different house, you're
(20:36):
just like missing out an opportunity for Amber. Right.
Speaker 5 (20:40):
Well, but I think what you said there is really important.
Articulator wren is where I was immediately looking. You want
them to see what is the benefit? So articulator wren
is basically a draw. Okay, so we're increasing efficiency and
hand size. Maybe there's a creature that you need to
be able to get ready, Okay, so then maybe at
that point it's important, But you're balancing it's another little
(21:03):
space to play with.
Speaker 4 (21:04):
Is this effect worth the loss of a chance.
Speaker 5 (21:07):
To come and read If it's two thirds of the
time that you're not playing that house, does it matter
if that creature is deepy enough?
Speaker 4 (21:14):
I agree. I don't think it is that big of
an issue. But there's going to be some.
Speaker 5 (21:19):
Calculus that we're going to put in in order to
be able to figure out if you should keep it
if you shouldn't.
Speaker 2 (21:24):
It's a decision a little. That's where the fun is.
Speaker 3 (21:27):
Yeah, and that we think, you know what, we're considering
a new keyword, which is overwhelmed. I don't know if
I'm necessarily considered all.
Speaker 2 (21:39):
Keyboards players remembering all the keywords.
Speaker 3 (21:43):
Well, okay, so overwhelmed is just if your opponent has
more creatures than you.
Speaker 2 (21:49):
Pretty good?
Speaker 3 (21:50):
So is this just to save ink? Yeah, I think
because like we've had this on multiple other cards.
Speaker 2 (21:59):
Think of it though, right, Like, haunted is a state
that the game has always had, but you don't really
think about it until it's pointed out. Right, it's the
same thing. It's just that it's with board state instead
of with your discard pile, you know, because it's like,
as long as we've had the game your discarding cards,
if you have ten cards in your discard pile, you're haunted, right, Like,
even if you're playing a CODA deck against gr all
(22:20):
haunted effects are still going to affect you if you
have ten cards in your discard pile. Overwhelmed is the
same thing, Right, We've always had situations where your opponent
has more creatures than you. Or you have more creatures
than your opponent. But now it's being pointed out in
a specific way that's going to interact with effects.
Speaker 3 (22:36):
My biggest thing was like they used to just print
that on the card instead of saying if you're overwhelmed.
Speaker 2 (22:42):
Right, I think they're safe in ink Man.
Speaker 3 (22:45):
Yeah, it's just it was just like, yeah, not doing
so good the game fact maybe it's something different, and
now it's just that if you're overwhelmed. I don't know.
Just the saturation of keywords is kind of one of
the those things have been paying attention to because it's like, man,
we have a new mechanic, a new keyword, a new this,
(23:05):
a new that every single set.
Speaker 5 (23:09):
Just and I do agree with Bookie on yeah, I
agree with you on that is that we probably don't
need as many new mechanics and ideas.
Speaker 2 (23:19):
I'm philosophy psychology. Do you guys? Do you guys know
anything about cult psychology?
Speaker 3 (23:25):
I do not know.
Speaker 2 (23:26):
A bit. Lingo, like a special language that is shared
between the members of the cult is a huge part
of it. So just think of this as Gigi and
doctrinating us into the cost of key Forge by making
you use a new, fancy term for something that we
could have said in plain English the whole time and
just you gotta let it. You just got to drink
the kool aid.
Speaker 3 (23:45):
Man got new T shirt idea, The Cult of Keyfde
got it.
Speaker 4 (23:51):
I'm on board on the new T shirt idea.
Speaker 5 (23:55):
I will say I think that this mechanic seems to
be more like Haunted and that they want to lean
more into.
Speaker 4 (24:01):
It for the set. So I'm curious to see how
they play with the idea of a board stick. Yes
we've had it for.
Speaker 5 (24:06):
A while, but it's now in the game as something
that is called out upon.
Speaker 2 (24:11):
Yeah, I'm curious to see if it's something like Haunted
to where it's like all of the houses have overwhelmed
effects in this set, but then in the next set
moving forward, Uberos is the only one that does overwhelmed stuff.
Speaker 4 (24:26):
Maybe that could be what happens for our dragons.
Speaker 2 (24:28):
I mean, you know, like does haunted stuff.
Speaker 3 (24:31):
Now houses are flipping in and out of sets like
it's going out of style. That's one thing we didn't
talk about what houses are in set. We can talk
about that in a little bit. But a few cards
they put out here is lay Lions. You get a
pip a Vember every time you play this action play
if you are overwhelmed, exhaust each creature. Otherwise exhaust a creature,
(24:55):
so a better persistent hunting maybe yeah, showing right, Yeah,
possibly if you're if you're overwhelmed, if not.
Speaker 2 (25:06):
Then get because it does everything. So if you're if
you're behind, you know it gets. It gets everything. But
also you can play you know, after you reap first,
so you don't have to hit your own creatures and
then they ready to do the tas pretty good pip
Amber two.
Speaker 3 (25:20):
Yeah, the only thing I was thinking, like because right now,
especially with how creature heavy ducks are, maybe maybe not
so much in PB, but they still kind of are.
You're probably pretty close, so it's a good chance you're
behind on creatures going into your turn, right, so you
could do your things play this card. It's not Alpha Omega,
(25:41):
thank god, so you can still play your critters out right,
so you can still do all the things right. You
can work around the timing on this card to make
it work.
Speaker 2 (25:50):
So no redeemed the Crucible here.
Speaker 3 (25:53):
Right uh as showing protocol pip of Vember every time
you play it. I'm glad to see cards with pips
of Ember when you play them. Thank goodness, I know
right missed him in TV play. If you are overwhelmed,
draw three cards. I can dig this one ish pretty good.
Speaker 2 (26:12):
Come back, you know, come back.
Speaker 3 (26:14):
Drawing card is always good. And then especially when you're like,
this card isn't dead in my hand, because I still
get a pip November for playing it, right, that's.
Speaker 5 (26:24):
What you needed to really do our obligatory on spoiler warning,
spoiler warning.
Speaker 4 (26:29):
Time minutes ago.
Speaker 3 (26:31):
Yeah, we don't have a z to do that anymore.
Speaker 2 (26:33):
So, I mean, if you guys don't want to be spoiled,
you you.
Speaker 3 (26:38):
Should don't want to be spoiled. We want about twenty
minutes ago and stop there. Uh but then we got
the clock cloak swipe, which is a question I know, right,
bit of November every time you play it. If you
(26:58):
are overwhelmed, Tuesday friendly creature. For each creature your opponent
controls an excess of you. That chosen creature captures one
pretty nice, probably going to be good and sealed. And
I'm looking here because I gotta do the obligatory e
Wok rarity check. I think we have a common, a rare,
(27:20):
and a common so card right, Yeah, it'll be good
and sealed. Right, it'll be very.
Speaker 2 (27:30):
That's a great card to play before you flop a
board of other creatures.
Speaker 3 (27:34):
Right, yeah, And it's like overwhelmed. You can always work
around overwhelmed. You're able to fight into things to get overwhelmed,
to get the abilities from these effects. So we've learned
that that's not so bad. And if you just have
a board and none of these do anything, you just
reap because you're already winning.
Speaker 2 (27:53):
Man, So there's bounced.
Speaker 3 (27:56):
Probably maybe we'll have to see if it's good fish.
We have the tail of two fishes, right, we've had
we've had really really bad fish, and we've had really
really good fish. Which fish two tales of one? Which
you're right, thank you, doctor Seuss. Yeah, you don't. You
(28:18):
never know which one you're gonna get. It's kind of like, uh,
it's kind of like equadon, right, you never know which
equadon you're getting. Is it going to be the really
good equadon or is it going to be the garbage.
Speaker 2 (28:29):
Forrest Gump. Take it easy on me, man, I mean
I have a soft spot for equadon. I think that
they're goofy little guys and the whole. Like giving up
a benefit to your opponent in exchange for a good
effect is like very reminiscent of World's Collide Surian, you know,
(28:51):
like with Exalt, I'm into them. I like Equadon sometimes.
Speaker 3 (28:55):
But still be good. Right. That's why I say you
get the tail of two of them, right, because you
sometimes can get a boss Equaedon that's your yeah, and
then sometimes you get you know, four iron handies and
your your Aquadon just does not right, so.
Speaker 2 (29:14):
Iron iron handy.
Speaker 3 (29:16):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (29:16):
I don't want that at all.
Speaker 3 (29:18):
Nobody wants that, but sometimes it happens, and you just
gotta kind of, you know, grit and take your medicine.
Let's move into.
Speaker 4 (29:27):
Are we talking about fish or were talking about Equaedon here?
Speaker 3 (29:30):
Boys, Well it started with fish, moved into Equadon, and
then turned into iron Handies.
Speaker 4 (29:36):
All right?
Speaker 5 (29:37):
Can I go ahead and just say both of those
houses can disappear and I'm okay with it?
Speaker 3 (29:41):
Yeah, I mean.
Speaker 2 (29:42):
Even even triple the fuddle, double timody, the damned unfathomable
from woe.
Speaker 5 (29:48):
There's a there's a handful of Yeah, the double Abystle site,
double illusions to grandeur.
Speaker 4 (29:54):
If they could unbate you are you are living in
Christmas tree.
Speaker 3 (29:57):
Land, Yaller.
Speaker 2 (30:01):
I have a deck that has trawler and double azure tooth,
and it's one of the funniest gr decks I've ever
played because it also has double Retrotechnicianly it's I love trawler, dude,
fish is fun. You can't can't convince me otherwise. I like, i'mpathomable.
I think that they're they're fun.
Speaker 3 (30:19):
I think they have their I think they I think
they peaked. They peaked and well, and they have never
been the same since somebody wouldn't.
Speaker 2 (30:29):
Playing much ball Masters twenty five though.
Speaker 3 (30:31):
Now I went through my box that I got for.
Speaker 2 (30:37):
Getting any good fish in your box.
Speaker 3 (30:39):
I got zero good fish in my box. Not there's
a single one.
Speaker 2 (30:45):
I've gotten a couple like double brain drain h Illusions.
It's fun. It's good stuff.
Speaker 3 (30:55):
Ah, but we're okay. So now they're talking about the
Sin Dynasty. So the best players know when they're when time.
The best players know when to time their cards card
play to maximize value. Using cards like Sinn Dynasty at
the right time could see the opponent pay extra for
forging their keys and giving value and return with additional
(31:18):
ember and card draw for the coming turn. So we
do get to see one of the artifacts, which is
called Sin Dynasty. It is a power key cost plus two.
After opponent forge is a key gained two ember, draw
four cards and destroy Sin Dynasty. This is a rare.
You're welcome.
Speaker 2 (31:36):
You watch you don't destroy it.
Speaker 3 (31:40):
It says destroy Sin Dynasty.
Speaker 2 (31:44):
It makes you destroy it.
Speaker 3 (31:45):
Yeah. Yeah, after the opponent forge is a key, gain
two Ember, draw four cards and destroy Sin Dynasty.
Speaker 2 (31:53):
Dang, did you think this is just going to stick
around for forever for sure? For sure thought it was
gonna start for it.
Speaker 4 (32:03):
Yeah, you're all we we do. We do have cards
like well memory that just can be brought back. Yeah yeah,
I mean that broken like that? Why not?
Speaker 1 (32:14):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (32:14):
I thought we were just doing crazy stuff.
Speaker 3 (32:16):
Yeah yeah. If this would be yeah, you all your
keys cost eight and every time you forge a key,
I'm going to get a third of a key and
draw a bunch of cards. How does that sound terrible?
Speaker 5 (32:30):
It would it.
Speaker 3 (32:33):
Would make all of that, Uh, it would make all
that artifact removal in PB worth something.
Speaker 2 (32:42):
Yeah, dude, if you take this botman, Belvin, you're feeling
like a g right.
Speaker 4 (32:48):
But like you're only taking it because it happens to
be in your deck. Let's be honest about.
Speaker 3 (32:52):
This, right, Well, there is plenty. I think a third
of the cards in PB are all artifact hate cards
between Hawked Borrow and Balesman, Bondsman, what's his name Jeeze?
Speaker 2 (33:08):
Then yeah, yeah.
Speaker 5 (33:10):
But the thing that I will say, I think the overpower,
like that board being very strong in the next set,
does seem to be trying to counter what we see
for PEB is that board presence.
Speaker 4 (33:29):
Correct? But boys, as it is nine oh four, yeah,
I'm gonna have to bounce. We get to line it up.
But I will say.
Speaker 5 (33:39):
Big shout out to the gg's staff in that we
are getting a replenishment of certain darkness and so we
have not ordered. I know we did complain last week,
but we appreciate it. So I'm looking forward to being
able to actually played.
Speaker 4 (33:52):
So shut out. Hopefully I'll see some of you in
Vegas and that take it.
Speaker 3 (33:56):
Over the boy. See neither of us in Vegas. We
have our invites.
Speaker 4 (34:01):
Hey, there's other people listening.
Speaker 3 (34:02):
Oh got it all right?
Speaker 4 (34:08):
That also really hurt.
Speaker 3 (34:10):
Win something, you know what, go take seconds in something? Okay,
and then you'll get your invite and I'll see you
an alliance.
Speaker 4 (34:18):
Thanks.
Speaker 2 (34:18):
Okay, first, do you walk? I need somebody else to
sit on the other side at dinner.
Speaker 3 (34:24):
Alrighty ah. But then coming up, we have Glittering Horde,
Pip a Vember. Every time you play it, play for
each color represented among forged keys. Steal one.
Speaker 2 (34:36):
Dude, I thought we were done with this.
Speaker 3 (34:38):
I don't need color stuff.
Speaker 2 (34:41):
Yeah, I'm so sick of it. Man, I don't need
to think about what color unforged of my keys when
I don't see skyboard.
Speaker 3 (34:51):
Yeah, well now you do because you might see a
glittering Horde.
Speaker 2 (34:56):
Okay, that sounds like a bummer. Man. That's a good card, though.
Speaker 3 (35:02):
It steals anywhere from zero to up to three.
Speaker 2 (35:06):
I suppose get every time you play it, then Pip
when you.
Speaker 3 (35:08):
Play it, I mean, we do need more steel. Can
we please stop giving steel to everybody except for Shadows
the love of God, can we stop doing that? Shadows
was the original steelhouse. Now I feel like every house
does it better than them.
Speaker 2 (35:28):
Logos definitely steals a lot in PP.
Speaker 3 (35:30):
I don't even know. I don't even know what shadows like.
What's what's their call sign? Anymore, like what is just
more steel? Right? Right? If you but if you open shadows,
you're like, oh, because right now, pe you're looking for
what hoodwinked and.
Speaker 2 (35:46):
Cover fire, cover fire Felder's plan.
Speaker 3 (35:49):
Right.
Speaker 2 (35:49):
But they also got the the weird like they got
some archive disruption gone, pear shaped got the hand disruption
cursed loot.
Speaker 3 (36:00):
Yeah, and then it says weeks we twelve will join
in the spoiler fun. On Friday October three, somebody recognized
him as one of the co hosts the board game
Board game Geme's former key Forge podcast T Forge. I
didn't know that was a podcast. Yeah, it was like
(36:21):
a video cast too. I missed that. Actually that was
actually there things. So you're probably gonna hear here things.
This is done. They're not doing T Forge.
Speaker 2 (36:32):
I guess they canceled it. Yeah, it wasn't very popular unfortunately.
You know, well you know, on account of how the
game died.
Speaker 3 (36:42):
Still making quarter of a million dollars every six months,
so I mean that's.
Speaker 2 (36:46):
Yeah, man, we're a profitable corpse. It's great.
Speaker 3 (36:49):
Nothing to sneeze at. You know, it's dead, but you know.
Speaker 2 (36:54):
It's the undead. Yeah, we've gotten like a handful of
new players, and that's enough to keep me feeling like
pretty peppy about it. I'm content, man, I like the
crew we got. As long as the same people keep
showing up, I'm down.
Speaker 3 (37:09):
And to be honest with you, I'm in the same way.
I'm I'm in this boat until it sinks, and I'll
probably be there well after it's sunk.
Speaker 2 (37:20):
Man has a collection of all all this sealed product
for like the Apocalypse, the keep Wa Apocalypse, so a
little bit of everything.
Speaker 3 (37:30):
I'm gonna say, SODA's ewok and local car and myself
and and cheap we all have. We all have stuff.
So even when this goes down, you know it's eventually.
Maybe it will, maybe it won't. But there's a handful
of cards that were on the front page that I
(37:51):
didn't want to go over since we did get to
see them. They're more more dragon cards on a voltash
coil breath who names these the love of.
Speaker 2 (38:03):
God, Michael and Michael Hurley.
Speaker 3 (38:07):
Names all of these. He looks like a.
Speaker 2 (38:09):
Coil, all of them.
Speaker 3 (38:11):
He is a five power dragon. After reap using enemy
artifact as if it were yours, put that artifact on
the bottom of its owner's deck, so more artifact tape.
At least it's on the reap, though I appreciate that
still a big body that probably reaps for at least one,
so I don't hate to get it. Gilded Burden Pip November.
(38:37):
Every time you play it, for each of your opponent's
forged keys, an enemy creature captures two from its own side.
This has potential.
Speaker 2 (38:46):
That's spicy.
Speaker 3 (38:49):
And then the shadow gloom coil. You see the art coils, Yeah,
that's a coil. But the art's getting a little more
wonky as we go along. We got kind of like
that high fantasy art, and then we get that really
anime cartoony art, and then we got I don't want
(39:10):
to say hyperrealism, but kind of that weird almost Yeah,
trying to be like a more realistic.
Speaker 2 (39:18):
Yeah. I don't mind the diversity, but I agree it's
gotten a little strange recently.
Speaker 3 (39:29):
But this is a six power dragon with treachery and versatile,
so it will come on your opponents, will go to
your opponent's side, and we'll be able to be used
with any other houses. After a friendly creature readies deal
one damage to each friendly creature. Nice very slow board removal.
Speaker 2 (39:58):
Unless your opponent has a bun chick creatures exhausted for
some reason.
Speaker 3 (40:03):
I mean, every time they play a new one, it's
going already, yeah, atrocity not so scary no more.
Speaker 2 (40:12):
Huh Yeah.
Speaker 3 (40:15):
That means he's gonna strug damage right away.
Speaker 2 (40:20):
Strug parasitic or acnoids. Annoying.
Speaker 3 (40:23):
Yep, But I've wanted dragons for a while. We're getting dragons.
I'm I'm relatively happy. What are your thoughts on the
new the new mcdin trenched Mechanic, Right, we heard a
little bit about it. I do like the way you
spun it. It sounds like you right, is that it is?
Speaker 2 (40:47):
It's a marketing point.
Speaker 3 (40:48):
It felt like that you're like, man, it's just free.
If you're not going into that house, it's just free.
And you said it was such such vigor. I'm like, yeah,
he's right.
Speaker 2 (41:01):
I mean, I'm glad I told you. Manh yeah. I
think that that's that's when it's going to be good. Right.
It is like you are just looking like you're playing
a couple of actions. You're putting one creature down. It
happens to be an entrench card, and you know you're
not going back into that house. And you're like, yeah, sure.
Like it's like it's like when you play Logos, you
(41:21):
put down an articulated grand and then you play Daughter
and you're like, yeah, sure, I'll exhaust Daughter to draw
another card. You know, like what if it wins me
the game? You know what if it's oh, you shouldn't
have and I get three Amber instead of you know,
reaping Daughter one time. Like, people love to gamble, dude,
it's gonna be one of those things where you're like,
(41:42):
I think I'm gonna take the risk. I'm gonna try.
Speaker 3 (41:45):
Howdy do I love to gamble? You have no idea,
that's how much I love to gamble. Nah.
Speaker 2 (41:53):
I feel like I could take a stab, right Yeah,
I feel like I could take a stab, because, dude,
I'm telling you, I understand why people hate PV because
when you lose all of your bets, it feels bad,
but when you win those bets, it's the highest of
(42:13):
the lot of lows, right yeah.
Speaker 3 (42:16):
Because worst case scenario, you go what you roll into
a game and literally play no key forge.
Speaker 2 (42:23):
Best case scenario. Best case scenario, your pundon has trinks
in hand and you forge off Buffo because they guessed wrong.
On ask again later and they eat sh it Like.
Speaker 3 (42:35):
Every they just keep going, uh, ask again later and
you just keep hitting and they're like, well, my deck
does nothing if you don't guess wrong. So you know,
So it's it's one of those things where and I've
had one of those games against mister perfect. You know,
we both had very similar stuff, and you know, I
kept guessing right on his ask again later he kept
(42:57):
guessing wrong. So you know, I'm hitting all the cards,
all all my all my fates are hitting and not
a single one. I think he maybe hit like three
or four of the whole game. And it's like, man,
that's that's tough. That's that's where I can the joke
of guess what house I'm thinking of forge Nope, doesn't happen.
Speaker 2 (43:18):
Sorry, so.
Speaker 4 (43:23):
Good.
Speaker 2 (43:24):
I think the trench is gonna be the same thing.
It's it's it's gambling with like a little bit of
lower stakes because instead of getting hit with cosmic recompense
when you guess wrong, you just don't get to reput
that creature.
Speaker 3 (43:34):
Or you get you're right and or you still get
some sort of benefit.
Speaker 2 (43:39):
Yeah, exactly, removal.
Speaker 3 (43:43):
See I guess some of those older cards like you know,
persistent hunting become kind of dead cards because you don't
want to hit in trench creatures. Now, not that you
see a lot of those floating around out there anymore,
but you know, is what it is. It's something to
think about, something to think about it like I'm going
to exhaust a creature and be like, maybe I don't
(44:06):
want to exhaust any of your creatures because all of
a sudden, I'm gonna get something blown up. I don't know.
I guess I have to wait because I mean, for
all we know, there could be a ton of exhaust
mechanics in here. And I think that was one of
the things that they had talked about quite a bit,
was exhaust mechanics because if you go on their big
pay big they're big thing. I don't know what you
(44:30):
want to call this their banner, right and trend one
of them. You know, power is claimed through exhaustion. Power counters.
We all know about power counters.
Speaker 2 (44:42):
Love them.
Speaker 3 (44:43):
Everybody loves power counters because they win, they win games.
Speaker 2 (44:49):
Dude, Chunk evermore best, Oh my god, I don't.
Speaker 3 (44:51):
Want to talk about Chunk evermore.
Speaker 2 (44:53):
That card, dude, I have a deck that Chunk evermore
is good?
Speaker 3 (44:56):
Is good? In No, you don't, that doesn't exist.
Speaker 2 (45:00):
Hear me out, hear me out. It's a trunk's creed deck.
So you're this creature is weaker than you.
Speaker 3 (45:07):
You use it.
Speaker 2 (45:08):
You use it, you use it on your opponent's creatures
to make them bigger. That's so that you can then
use trenks creed on them.
Speaker 3 (45:14):
That almost thought of that.
Speaker 2 (45:16):
So it's exactly it's profession.
Speaker 3 (45:19):
Because that's that's not really how that's supposed to be played.
But yeah, it works, okay, And it's not so much
it's not the chunks ever more making the deck as
we just mentioned its name and another five it's it's
(45:40):
not like, man, I don't even need the trunks creed
and this deck just just busted. It's like, wow, also
has hoodwink cover fires it. Also it also needs the
trunks creed. But we're not going to talk. We're just
going to push that one to the side real quick. Yeah,
but I think it's time because we're geting a little
(46:01):
long in the tooth here going on at night. It's
gonna be nice getting out of here in about an hour.
That's a that's a fabulous feeling you have keeping it.
Speaker 2 (46:09):
I love it.
Speaker 3 (46:10):
I love it because normally we don't get out of
here for like an hour and a half hour and
forty minutes sometimes. But it's time to go through our spoilers,
our spoilers coming from Gig. I'm going to start to
put them in the chat, our first siler. I feel
like we really got the dog end of the stick
on this one. If you want to look in the chat,
(46:33):
I will also put it in the spoilers section in
our discord if you want to see it. That is
a code that nobody wants to see. It's actually my address,
so let's not put it there. So if you're looking
for them all right now, it is in the show
chat first right, nobody docs wookie. First up, we got
(46:54):
Clay More one power Elf soldier. He enhances your what
s happen? What sad is draftscourts is gonna want to
vote this afore because it has enhancement pips and it
is not so it enhanced damage though. Yeah, it enhances
your deck with two damaged pips. Uh, this is nobody's
(47:19):
likeness card.
Speaker 2 (47:22):
This is Kirby coming in with the slam dugs on
the keyboards.
Speaker 3 (47:26):
Community. I don't even know. I'm just gonna say it.
I know the AC crew. I don't think I'm supposed
to say it what I'm saying anyways, I'm pretty sure
we have a likeness card coming out next set. Where
it's going what it is, I know spoilers, I don't
even know. I don't even know if I have the
right to do it right now. It's the back of
(47:47):
my phone, like my phone's lock screen.
Speaker 2 (47:49):
Is that that card?
Speaker 3 (47:51):
So I don't know anything about it other than I
got sent this on is.
Speaker 2 (47:55):
Your lock screen? That's crazy?
Speaker 3 (47:57):
That's crazy, bro? But is die? That's that? That's twenty
five years ago when I was skinny.
Speaker 2 (48:06):
But yeah, you were really skinny, really skinny.
Speaker 3 (48:10):
Yeah, I have a lot of drugs back in the nineties.
But destroyed it deal two damage to each enemy flank creature.
Oh wow, it's flavor text. Yes, front towards front towards ended. Okay,
if that's funny, that's a good one. If you are
a Call of Duty fan or know anything about Claymors,
(48:32):
so that's uh, that's a pretty good one. I know
drags courts. I wouldn't want to vote us afore, but
I really think this is like a two.
Speaker 2 (48:39):
It's a it's a two. Yeah, this card sucks. You know,
we usually see it, but I'm definitely not happy to
see it. Yeah, we usually get decent cards. You know,
what was our our first our first ever spoiler reveal
was Revenus Star Song and Berserker, and then we got
Recklessness and Rave Bounty. Maybe Grave Bounty wasn't the best,
(49:03):
but Recklessness ended up.
Speaker 3 (49:04):
Being a house.
Speaker 2 (49:05):
Recklessness is sick.
Speaker 3 (49:07):
I don't even remember what we got for. We had forgotten.
They're getting they're getting nerved as we go. You're getting right,
They're like, I can't keep giving them all the good ones.
But next one, Mars is back. For those of you
missing Mars, it's weird, hopefully nobody. I love Mars? What
(49:34):
I love?
Speaker 2 (49:34):
What do you love about Mars?
Speaker 3 (49:36):
What about you know it's more of a sixth statistic thing.
Speaker 2 (49:41):
Oh, you're one of those people who likes to sit
there and take a six minute turn while your opponents, well.
Speaker 3 (49:45):
Hold on.
Speaker 2 (49:45):
I like.
Speaker 3 (49:48):
Rebel. I liked before Mars was cool. Okay, I liked
Mars back in CODA when they still sucked. Right, Oh yeah,
seas it was your favorite card. No, No, I actually
had I had a deck that had it was called
bear Blossom and it had like two grabber jammers a tongue.
(50:11):
It actually did stuff which was crazy because like you
sat across from your opponent. It had shadows, Mars and Brobnar,
and it actually had like a lot of the good
Brobnar in it, like the ones that when you fought
they lost some or when you played them they lost
the number. And then the Mars actually had you know,
like oh, your keys cost plus one and it wasn't
(50:33):
what was it's not the other one or it's not
the one where for each for it was for each
Mars creature, your opponent captures one from its own side.
I can't rely on psychic networks have not a command.
Speaker 2 (50:47):
That was it.
Speaker 3 (50:49):
And then it just was like standard shadows, good stuff.
And then a little card named uh oh, Holy drawing
a blank perch two cards was umber not lose two
cards perch two cards lose unber equal to its umber
pips in Furnace in Furnace Coda, No, No, it was
(51:17):
really good in Coda and in that, but once in
Furnace came out in the World's Collide that card that
became dead because it had two uh was it o
ghostly hands so they just became they became chains in
my hand or I'm losing four, which just killed it.
(51:38):
But next up we have Martian propagation destroy each friendly
creature for each creature destroyed this way, draw two.
Speaker 2 (51:48):
Cards and Martian generosity just dropped.
Speaker 3 (51:52):
Yeah, so that could be a little bit bust is
oh ship, that's not wrong. It is a rare. Are
we going to get key abduction in this that? I
don't think we'll ever seek the abduction ever again, to
be honest, doubt it. It'll be something.
Speaker 2 (52:08):
Yeah, man, I'm not gonna lie. This card's pretty good.
Speaker 3 (52:14):
Yeah, two cards for each FRA. I mean you know
this card would have been busted in a wow. I
don't know why. Yeah, for sure.
Speaker 2 (52:22):
But honestly, like we know that there's gonna be This
is gonna be a creature heavy set. Looks like there'll
be a lot of board state. I think this could
be good. This is also like a great hail Mary,
you know what I mean. If you're just digging for something,
you just flow up a couple creatures, blow them up
to draw more.
Speaker 3 (52:39):
Not a lot of capture seen thus far. Yeah, get
overwhelmed quick, Yeah, Yeah, good call. That's a good call.
I'm trying to think, like, who is in this set.
We've got Equadon, Geistoid, Mars, Dragons, Shadows, Oh man, you
have all the Baggers born and the Fish.
Speaker 2 (53:03):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (53:05):
So no one, no one tamed, and you're one You're
one Brobner away from a bad set.
Speaker 2 (53:14):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (53:18):
I guess I don't know, just from reprint standbys, Shadows
for the Hole, because we don't know what cards are
in set, even though we've got we've seen a few.
Speaker 2 (53:32):
Tends to just be good. Yeah, Skyborne can be good.
I mean, if we're seeing Redline again.
Speaker 3 (53:38):
Does red Line get reed?
Speaker 2 (53:41):
Yeah? Well maybe against all Flags?
Speaker 3 (53:44):
Yeah, well I'll tell you this. It's in the Novice
of the Crucible art. I know that means absolutely nothing,
but it's in the Novice of the Crucible art.
Speaker 1 (53:56):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (53:57):
You know, it's funny because I think all these houses
besides Geistoid have been pretty traditionally flip floppy. You know,
like DT Shadows was bad. Man, that was a bad time,
but then like Shadows is pretty sick bad too. Yeah,
but then hey whoa, Woa Fish was pretty incredible.
Speaker 3 (54:20):
Woe Fish was great, and then we went right back
to bad with Grim Reminders, I mean Troller magic in there.
Speaker 2 (54:28):
Yeah, Troller Covetous. You know there's some you could do.
It wasn't great, but there's some stuff you could do
in gr with fish Geist is always pretty good. Yeah,
Equodon could be dece.
Speaker 3 (54:45):
These are all traditional where people you don't want to see,
like when you're opening up, Like so when you open up,
you know, when you open up any Ember skies, you're like,
if you saw Skyborne, you're like, please have a red
line or against all flags.
Speaker 2 (55:02):
Yeah, Mars you're like, if I see the fucking Saucer
one forty nine again, I'm going to freak out. I've
seen that card so many times and it's so stupid.
Speaker 3 (55:14):
It's literally a chain, like you must have gotten off
them because I have never seen Saucer one.
Speaker 2 (55:20):
May God dude, it's like a third of my Mars
decks that ever got. It's so bad. Oh it's the worst.
But hey, I mean Black Black Tempest and Skyborne would
be sick. We could see Cynwics and again in Mars,
doctor Zilah would be cool, Rebel would be great. Probably
(55:42):
won't see Rebel right never.
Speaker 3 (55:44):
Not after not well, you're going to ever see Rebel
ever again after after grim reminders, Rebel allowed too many
bad things to happen.
Speaker 2 (55:55):
Dude, we can see ether Spider again.
Speaker 3 (55:57):
Ether Spiders not. I wouldn't mind an Ether's Spider. I
would like what's his name? The yick slicks that when
you played him? Was a play destroyed? He got the
archive of card? Oh you're talking about target target? Ye?
Speaker 2 (56:13):
Was that both on play playa play archive and then
reap you archive him?
Speaker 3 (56:18):
Oh that's right, that's right. So I wouldn't mind seeing
that card is too good target.
Speaker 2 (56:26):
There's so much there's so much archive hate. What do
you mean that's okay? You know what, You're right, that's
actually fair. I didn't think about it from that perspective.
Speaker 3 (56:36):
Everybody's got archive hate.
Speaker 2 (56:38):
I mean ship Mars has so many bad cards.
Speaker 3 (56:42):
Mars has a lot of bad cards. So hopefully they picked.
Speaker 2 (56:44):
Remember what was jet Booster Squadron? Was that what it was?
Whereas like hands, Oh god, I got a legacy not
Alexi in one time with the Power Rangers. Oh sorry,
yeah yeah it still water miss yeah, sure does five
five legacy sibils right in a rows.
Speaker 3 (57:06):
I'm trying to think I pulled a power Rangers Deck
not too long ago too, and I don't remember what
set we were in. I knew might No, it wasn't
Fault Masters. Was it Fault Masters? Are you sure it's
vault We were playing a Sealed week at our locals,
and I'm like, yeah, I got Power Rangers. This sucks,
(57:27):
and I don't want to pull by c C. It
might have been Crucible Clash. It might have been, so
I don't know. If I don't, I don't remember, I'll
have to I don't think. Actually, actually I give all
my ship next to Pete after you just put it
in Pete's piles and he takes them home with him
(57:48):
and does all his stuff with him.
Speaker 2 (57:51):
So, yeah, guys, do it. I think we got a
lot of great cards we could see.
Speaker 3 (57:56):
Yeah, guys, I don't think has ever really been bad.
Amber Skyes wasn't great to Geistoid, but they did have
a thing that they did with crap rays.
Speaker 1 (58:06):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (58:08):
Yeah, Puscular raised Parabyte is great.
Speaker 3 (58:12):
Yeah, Shadows is gonna be hit or miss depending on
what they do.
Speaker 2 (58:19):
Well, we'll have to wait. We're in trouble. I mean,
Claymore is a common right, you're gonna see them all
the time.
Speaker 3 (58:28):
Oh my god, that's just like, what's his name? What's
the crap one nobody wants right now?
Speaker 2 (58:36):
Oh? Urchin, not Urchin, not urgent, Burnish Nickels, Burnish Nichols. Yeah,
but British Nichols is a pretty great, great prophecy. And
then I mean, hey, Equodon, we were saying feast or famine.
You know, there's there's a lot of good stuff I'd
like to see in Ecuadon. Generosoffer is amazing. Permanent records.
(59:00):
Great record makes sense. It's an exhaust set.
Speaker 3 (59:05):
Yeah, you know. And then you not only permanent record,
you have what's the other one where it was like
the Exhausted Creature, Well, permanent record, you exhausted creature game
two steal to steal to? Are you sure it was
steel too?
Speaker 2 (59:22):
Yeah for sure.
Speaker 3 (59:23):
Now I gotta go check this out. I think that
was permanent record.
Speaker 2 (59:27):
Permanent record, ex asto friendly creature.
Speaker 3 (59:28):
If you do steal to, well, it wasn't there one
that you killed it and it stole to to generous
generous soft exhausted friendly creature. If you do steal too, damn,
that's that's pretty good. We'll have to wait and see.
But what are your thoughts thus far on draconian measures.
Speaker 2 (59:49):
Dude, I think it's gonna be fun. I think it's
gonna be one of those sets that's like pretty fun
to play. I think the mechanic is going to be
more elegant than we're giving it credit for. I think
it's not gonna be super powerful. I'm not gonna lie.
I don't think it's gonna wipe the floor with PV.
I think that, like any set, there's gonna be potential
(01:00:10):
for good decks. But I think it's gonna be a
little bit more of the you know, slow and steady
kind of set. And I think a lot of people
who were frustrated with TV are gonna find a lot
of peace finally put put down the hatchet about PV.
I think this, this set's gonna be good.
Speaker 3 (01:00:28):
So will it shake up the matter like PV did?
Hell no, No, I didn't think so either. Of course,
I didn't think it was gonna shake them out of
like it did. But then all of a sudden, you're like, oh, yeah,
there's this whole new area that nobody has any interaction with,
and maybe maybe we see some entrenched cards that have
interactions with prophecies. I guess we don't. We don't know
(01:00:51):
what's possible.
Speaker 2 (01:00:53):
Here's the thing, right is it doesn't matter what you're
entrenching if you discard half your hand.
Speaker 3 (01:00:58):
That was also my other thought. I was like, what
does it matter when you know you're like, yeah, I
wasn't going to go back into that house until.
Speaker 2 (01:01:06):
It doesn't matter if you end your turn and your
opponent gains three amber right before they forage.
Speaker 3 (01:01:11):
Right.
Speaker 2 (01:01:13):
So I mean, but I think it'll be fun, and
I think that that's really what's important. I hope that
people haven't lost sight of that. I don't think that
every single set has to just produce bangers. I think
that there's gonna be good decks, you know what I mean, like.
Speaker 3 (01:01:28):
Top eight with with MM right, like, well that's yeah,
but that's a no. Browning is a known very good deck.
Speaker 2 (01:01:36):
But that's what I'm saying, right, very good deck for sure.
And there'll be a good Draconian Measures deck. There will
probably be a few of them. I just don't think
that it's going to be like g r PV where
people are just like ripping Fall Tour level decks all
the time, you know, like compared to the rest of
the field.
Speaker 3 (01:01:55):
You don't think that this game kind of needs that
a little bit.
Speaker 2 (01:02:00):
That needs to be ripping bangers. Yeah, no, dude, I
mean there's plenty. There's plenty, there's plenty of decks to
go around. I think that there's nothing wrong with you
know what. I think their biggest mistake was was releasing
Talk and Ambers Guys at the same time.
Speaker 3 (01:02:18):
Okay, I'm interesting.
Speaker 2 (01:02:20):
Because because Talk to me is like this, it's a
slower set, it's not producing bangers. It plays kind of
like regular Keyfde like pregg in a healthy way. I
think the Talk has a good place, but I don't
think that it was positioned as the break that it
(01:02:40):
should have been, and so we just kind of like
skipped right over it right into PV from Ambers Guys,
which now we're ripping bangers again. And so now there's
an expectation that every set is going to be all gas,
no brakes, and I don't think that that's necessary, but
I think everybody's used to it.
Speaker 3 (01:02:59):
I think it is extraordinarily necessary. Why because there's nothing
wor And I come from a new player perspective right now,
I'm a very special type of new player, right I
don't like a game, A not player, a veterans. Shut up, someone.
Speaker 2 (01:03:18):
Who's been playing, I'm playing for years.
Speaker 3 (01:03:22):
Well, you know I am someone who's been playing for years, right,
I'm not personally, I'm not number one. I'm I'm majority
of sealed person I think a lot of people are
just the nature of key for it.
Speaker 2 (01:03:33):
And well, do you play a lot of inter set sealed?
Speaker 3 (01:03:39):
Inter set seal? What do you mean?
Speaker 2 (01:03:42):
Like, do you play a lot of sealed with what
one opponent has one set and the other opponent has
a different set?
Speaker 4 (01:03:47):
No?
Speaker 3 (01:03:48):
No, we play it all. We're pretty typically, so one
doesn't matter.
Speaker 2 (01:03:51):
Right, The set strength doesn't matter if you're talking about sealed,
because if you play it into itself, you know it's
a level playing field.
Speaker 3 (01:03:58):
Well, I'm I'm an all or not thing player, right,
And I think a lot of people are like that.
Now I could be wrong, but like, if I'm not
pulling bangers and I'm just getting getting washed every time
I play this game, i ain't going to continue to
play this game.
Speaker 2 (01:04:18):
I don't know, dude. I think that it's way more
fun for the average deck strength to be kind of
a medium, and for like every twentieth deck that you
rip to be like, ooh, now this is spicy, as
opposed to it being like one in four that feels spicy.
(01:04:39):
I think that it's nicer when it's when it's like
most of your games are kind of mid and then
you rip a banger and you're like you get to
ride the light a little bit. You know, it's like
you take a tolerance break. You gotta let it hit.
Speaker 3 (01:04:54):
See. I just I travel a lot for this game,
and I'm like, you know, I've been playing this game
for oh what did this game come out twenty nineteen,
twenty eighteen.
Speaker 2 (01:05:07):
Yeah, I'm playing since into twenty eighteen.
Speaker 3 (01:05:09):
Yeah. It's like, man, I still to this day do
not own a Vault Tour caliber deck and you and
I have. I don't know, I've spent a lot of
money on the skin.
Speaker 2 (01:05:22):
I don't know if I do either. Yeah, blenty dude.
Speaker 3 (01:05:26):
And it's like it's it's it's a frustration because you know,
it's it's not a it's not a game where you
could just I can go buy the pieces and build
it right, Like it's it's the all or nothing.
Speaker 2 (01:05:39):
But that's part of it, man, Like it's this, it's
the whole day. It's got a whole, you know what
I mean? Like, every deck is pretty different and sometimes
you got to learn to play around its flaws instead
of just playing to its strengths. God, I sound like
the Kaggi guys. I sound like I'm adaptive.
Speaker 3 (01:05:55):
Really you are? You are East Coast, so it makes
sense this is coming through.
Speaker 2 (01:06:03):
Was just on them recently to I never played adaptive, dude. No, no, no,
I never played adaptive. I don't like it.
Speaker 3 (01:06:12):
Have you tried it? Maybe you'll like it if you
try it.
Speaker 2 (01:06:15):
I've tried it, I've played. I played a br you known.
I also played f FG vault tourist. Dude. Yeah, we
were playing like three three person team sealed.
Speaker 3 (01:06:29):
I had brought that up the day because at our
locals obviously we have all of us and then Sydney
as well. I was like what if I was like,
would it be a bridge too far because they're gonna
probably do.
Speaker 1 (01:06:47):
You know the the.
Speaker 3 (01:06:50):
The you know people ideas again whatever that I forgot.
Speaker 2 (01:06:55):
What they call that, you know, the community?
Speaker 3 (01:06:57):
The community. Yeah, I was like, would it be crazy
to be like, hey, let's do the old school team event.
I'm sure you remember it where it was one person
playing one person's playing one person's playing.
Speaker 2 (01:07:16):
Try a cornered Captains of Redacted. Dude, it's uh Jacob,
JJ and Liam. Yeah, the day with di I we
would take the field any day. It'd be sick.
Speaker 3 (01:07:27):
I think that'd be so cool.
Speaker 2 (01:07:29):
I think I think it'd be fun. I think that
it it's more interesting to have to also decide the format,
you know what I mean, Like you just you're just
putting that piece of bacon on that cheeseburger, you know,
like it's just a little bit of an extra mmm.
Speaker 3 (01:07:51):
You know, it's a cool flavor for the We haven't
done one of those in a while, and everyone talks
about them, and it's one thing I really wish would
bring back is those those Sunday team events.
Speaker 2 (01:08:06):
Dude, it's always the all formats, you know what I mean. Like,
there's a reason why Commander is the most popular Magic
Together in format, Like everybody likes the the other thing.
It's just that Alliance was forced on us and Break
breaks the whole point in the game, and that's why
nobody likes that all format.
Speaker 3 (01:08:21):
Yeah, I'm sorry everybody. Still I'm still sorry. Five years later,
I'm still sorry. My bad everyone. That's my fault. Yeah,
did I hear that call? I did not foresee any
of this coming.
Speaker 2 (01:08:34):
Terrible call, My bad.
Speaker 3 (01:08:37):
What was so dumb?
Speaker 4 (01:08:38):
Was?
Speaker 3 (01:08:38):
I remember the day I came up with it. I
was just sitting in bed and I was like, I
sat up and I was like, I gotta write this
shit down. I was like, because this this is going
to transform how we play KeyForge.
Speaker 2 (01:08:49):
It's like Robert Oppenheimer inventing the nuclear bomb, right.
Speaker 3 (01:08:53):
And then I went I went to I went to Sheep.
It was Sheep U, Drascourps wasn't with us at It
was Sheep Z and Jr. And I was like, dude,
check this out. And I thought I was the coolest
shit ever, right, And then they all just for forty
(01:09:13):
five minutes. You can probably find the episode too, if
you guys dig hard enough. For forty five minutes just
dunked on being why this is a terrible idea? And
I'm like, all right, I get it, it's bad, right, sorry,
And all of a sudden they're like, hey, guys, I
remember when it came out. And Sheep immediately texts me
He's like, why would you put that into the world?
(01:09:35):
And I was like, why would I put one into
the world. They're like, the new format is your dumb format?
And I was like, oh really, and he spent I
think that's just like that too. And I was like,
he's like, it's your dumb format. And I was like what,
I'd forgotten all about it at that time, because it's
like two years later. I'm like, what dumb format. He's
like the stupid one where where you mixed decks and
(01:09:57):
I was like, oh, and then he lost his shit
and and I don't know if anything changed point and
now here we are.
Speaker 2 (01:10:04):
Now gonna say that just sounds like deep.
Speaker 3 (01:10:07):
Yeah, and I have an alliance invite. You have a
sealed invite. Congrats, you have the most coveted invite of
all the invites.
Speaker 2 (01:10:15):
Thank you.
Speaker 3 (01:10:16):
I'm thinking this, uh what I wanted. Yeah, I think
everyone wants wants a sealed invite. I'm not gonna lie
to you. Nobody's like the sealed invite, no, thank you,
because that's that's exactly what I want, is a sealed invite.
But I'll have to go to the last chance qualifiers
to try to get that bad boy. That's okay, there
you go, I'll do my put in your ticket. I
(01:10:38):
have ticket to complain about Crucible Clash. Uh no, No,
I don't think. Okay, So again, I don't think Crucible
Clash is the problem. I think the way they were like, yeah,
we're gonna use Arkon powers, Like, I think Crucible Clash
itself as a set is fine. And I think I
said this two weeks ago, like the set is fine,
(01:10:59):
Like there's nothing, like there's nothing apparently broken in the
set besides the ARCon powers. Yeah, like all the cards
in it are fine, Like there's nothing, there's nothing crazy.
You're like, oh man, that's just busted. Right.
Speaker 2 (01:11:13):
It feels dumb to play it sealed into itself though,
and not do Larcom powers at all.
Speaker 3 (01:11:18):
I just I My question is what what do you
do other? What do you do in exchange?
Speaker 2 (01:11:25):
Put play a different set?
Speaker 3 (01:11:26):
But what set Vault Master twenty five? See, And I'd
be fine with that too. If they said Vault Master
twenty five, I heard some rumblings of talk. I'm like,
you can't know, Andrew, No AOA l c Q is
not no bad? What where is that put in there?
Speaker 2 (01:11:47):
Freaked by the decks eighteen bucks a box on Amazon listen.
Speaker 3 (01:11:53):
I don't know if i'd be opposed to that like AOA,
like three deck Alliance AOA.
Speaker 2 (01:12:00):
No, dude, I don't want I don't know local.
Speaker 3 (01:12:04):
Cars and Chatlin. We might have I might have buy
a box of ao and be like, hey, let's alliance
some AOA and just see what happens. Just see what happens.
Speaker 2 (01:12:14):
Here's the thing. Here's the problem is one person's gonna
get GANKA and then they just win. See.
Speaker 3 (01:12:24):
I don't know about that.
Speaker 2 (01:12:24):
I don't want to play that. I don't want to
play that. That's boring as hell.
Speaker 3 (01:12:29):
Unchained. No, nobody wants unchained. They'll see q I Vault
Master twenty five. I'd probably be fine with. I wouldn't
have an issue with that one. I think like talk,
I did have a problem with that. I'm like, great,
so pull disorbust right like that that was my options
that sealed. You get on tammed too right and lose right.
(01:12:52):
You could get untammed and absolutely like man, I did
pretty good.
Speaker 2 (01:12:56):
I got stepp wool if I was doing okay.
Speaker 3 (01:12:59):
Yeah, I just it's just that seems like it would
be a it would be a pull diss or bust
type deal. Eh, I'm not interested in that. But vult
Master twenty five. Again, there's nothing really inherently busted in
VM twenty five. It's pretty seems like a pretty standard
key Forge set. It's actually not bad. It's just now
(01:13:21):
slow with PV out because BB basically says you don't
get to play key Forge, and Vault Master twenty five says,
but I want to, and it still doesn't let you.
I have some actual good Vault Master twenty five deck.
The problem is PB. Yeah, like I have two or
(01:13:42):
three really really good ones that do all the things
like that do all the things you want them to do.
And then it's like, oh, I forgot to tell you
Peb's out, and now it sucks and you're like, well
that was fun. Well it lasted because like you is,
(01:14:03):
USEF is actually bonkers good. It just it can't do
it because of PB being like, did you want to
play key for I'm sorry, I'm sorry, sir, but there's
just no money in your account to play key Forge today.
Try again later.
Speaker 2 (01:14:20):
Well, if if you good listener would like to get
a pull A bangor Vault Master deck, you better be
in Vegas because that's where everybody else is getting them.
Speaker 3 (01:14:29):
I guess I don't know everybody is traveling to Vegas
right now, so make sure you guys accept us. We
have our invirites.
Speaker 2 (01:14:37):
So losers, Yeah, that's front of the desert.
Speaker 3 (01:14:42):
Yeah, well looking at naked people, I mean, yeah, you freaks.
I mean that's if I was in Vegas. I don't
know if I'd be like, hey, let's play key Forge,
I'd probably be like, there's so many other things to
do here right now? Well I might. I will show
(01:15:03):
up how I show up to every key Forge event? Hungover? Right,
so it hasn't stopped in three years. It's not going
to stop now. We'll kind of go from there, but
make sure you guys are our tuning in. Go over
check out the starts tomorrow, right, Yeah, it starts tomorrow, Yes, sir,
(01:15:23):
Sealed will start tomorrow morning. Make sure you go over
to the Ghost Galaxy page and check out their their stream.
You can watch all the PV fun, the HPV fun,
and of course I guess kind of go from there, right, like,
I guess we'll see what kind of what kind of
takes it there. HPV will have been out for a
(01:15:44):
little while now, so the meta has kind of had
time to like shape itself a little bit because TV
came out. We had Baltimore, and then we had a
whole bunch of European stuff where some was legal, some
was not. And now this is like the first time.
It's like coming down around. So we'll see how it goes.
(01:16:05):
We'll see how it goes. Don't forget buy your AC merch.
We'll be giving away some form of goodie at at KFC.
I don't know what it is yet, we're still trying
to figure it out. We'll be giving away with some
sort of goodie for the people wearing the AC merch.
And then right under your AC merch, you can wear
your help from Future Self merch and get whatever trinket,
(01:16:28):
whatever shitty trink at Cydney sending out.
Speaker 2 (01:16:31):
Damn Sydney doesn't give out anything shitty.
Speaker 3 (01:16:35):
Let's not no, no everything. If there's any shitty trinket,
it's probably gonna be ours. Because the four runner idea
right now for us is the AC resealing glue, which
is actually just going to be a bottle of ky jelly.
Speaker 2 (01:16:52):
Let's be real, we all know that the person who's
going to give us the shittiest trinket is Ghost Galaxy more.
Speaker 3 (01:16:59):
Than likely, because it's probably gonna be another chain tracker,
and I don't even know if we've had any cards
that track chains in like three sets, so.
Speaker 2 (01:17:11):
Oh boy, that actually but you gotta put you gotta
sing me a lullaby because you want.
Speaker 3 (01:17:18):
To sing you a lullaby. Well, I'll tell you what
instead of singing al By, I'll tell you go check
out our patreon for those of you looking for decks.
Looking for your top PV decks probably won't be happening
this weekend, but the draft score will as he's putting
them in. Give you your top PV decks. Don't forget
w dot gg, go get you if you're tired, like Liam,
(01:17:40):
go get some w dot gg or some w over
at w dot gg use code draw better for ten
percent off. It gives us a little bit of a kickback.
And then all your merch you know where it is
in the spreadshirt down in the link below. And with
that being said, we got to thank Liam for coming
on again this week. King of Bling, Vault Warrior everything all.
(01:18:05):
You know what, never mind, you gotta go to bed.
I was like, you know what would be a good idea,
thank Clash Clash content creators. But that's for another day.
But thanks Liam for coming on helping us out this
week since I was abandoned by all my other co
hosts because they all suck and all need invites except
for Sheep.
Speaker 2 (01:18:22):
But yeah, man, thanks for having me, Thanks for lett
me practice my swears.
Speaker 3 (01:18:27):
Yeah yeah yeah, everything goes.
Speaker 2 (01:18:31):
We'll get the switch jar sorted out and uh it'll
be good.
Speaker 3 (01:18:34):
All money donated goes to Autism Speaks and we will
talk to you all next week.
Speaker 2 (01:18:44):
Stay forging gang later.
Speaker 3 (01:18:45):
