Speaker 1 (00:01):
Damn who knew all the planes we blew? Good things
we've been through did I'll be standing right here talking

to put and last had to switch up, look at
things different. See the bigger picture goes where the day's
hard work.

Speaker 2 (00:20):
That means we should get started. So what's going on? Everybody?
I am the one, the only w O Okay, I

comes a third misfitry comes. He's making his way down
town fucking fast. Do do do? Do? Do do? He's
got his hand raised? Does that mean cheap? Could you
not join manually? Either? I'm on my phone. I wonder

(00:45):
if it's because I wonder if it's because I hit
do the normal archives corner event as opposed to like
I normally just start one that's neither here nor there.
Remove my I didn't.

Speaker 3 (01:00):
I just got I just got home from my drive
back from Columbus, and I'm sick.

Speaker 4 (01:05):
Oh you will be here long?

Speaker 2 (01:09):
Well, let's get through it quick. Then Wednesday night we
all go up. At least most actually we all went
up Wednesday night right, Hello for community here, there's people here.
You got you got the drazz bar himself dras Boar. Hey, guys,
they got you got the you got that. You got

(01:34):
the ewok he does stuff.

Speaker 4 (01:36):
No, you forgot his introduction already.

Speaker 2 (01:39):
You missed this. I mean we have to start over now.
Oh god, fine, all right, we've got the drazz score himself,
drazz cor Hey, guys, how's it going? The ewakeist of
ewoksk's not Oh, I forgot, I totally forgot. What do

(02:00):

Speaker 4 (02:04):
He's just the Minnesota deuce.

Speaker 2 (02:06):
Oh, the Minnesota deuce. That's right. I totally forgot about
that one. That was the Minnesota deuce himself.

Speaker 5 (02:13):
Lock Junior, Hello, keyboards, give me an a glad to
have this new term.

Speaker 2 (02:23):
PhD of key Forge, Doctor m Sheet, Hello, I totally
forgot about the Minnesota deuce.

Speaker 5 (02:30):
And everyone else who's not even good enough to be
a deuce, got it?

Speaker 2 (02:34):
That's that's the rest. At least you're a deuce. Yeah,
I don't think this is a good thing with this.
The only deuce I was was Owen deuce on day one.
You I agree with that because I'm poopy decks. But anyways,
when's we got KFC to recap and some bitching to do.

(02:56):
I'm excited. I'm excited. But let's stick around on with Wednesday.
Great time. It was good. Some of us flew in,
some of us drove in. Myself and Sheep went up
early Wednesday morning so that we could do Whirlie ball
and he could do his Vault Warrior dinner. Some of

(03:17):
us had to work, Yep, some of us had to
work and didn't come up till later. I was. I
was gravely disappointed that my first round draft pick did
not make it until much later. Sor right. I took
Luke instead. But anyway, I hear Luke carried you. You
know what? That good trade?

Speaker 4 (03:37):
I I.

Speaker 2 (03:38):
We'll talk about it. We'll talk about it. But how
was the Vault Warrior dinner? Which? What did you do?

Speaker 4 (03:43):
My chicken was really dry?

Speaker 2 (03:48):
Sweet? The Axles place is that where you were?

Speaker 4 (03:50):
Yes, we were at Axles.

Speaker 2 (03:53):
There were.

Speaker 3 (03:55):
Not a ton like thirty I think thirty or something
thirty thirty three.

Speaker 4 (04:00):
I didn't actually count.

Speaker 3 (04:03):
The only two GG employees were Josh and Christian Peterson.

Speaker 2 (04:10):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (04:11):
They said a couple of words.

Speaker 2 (04:14):
We got our free drinks.

Speaker 3 (04:18):
Yeah, I mean it was it was fine. I got
to complain about some issues with the retail store and
not getting answers back from GG after I send in things,
and Christian Peterson was surprised and said he look into it,
which he did. I got emails by the end of

(04:39):
that weekend for my retail things.

Speaker 2 (04:41):
So wonder who got taken care of? I wonder who
got an as on Monday?

Speaker 4 (04:48):
Yeah, no, because that was Whatesday. That guy got an
ask chewing on Thursday.

Speaker 2 (04:52):
Oh yeah, well, well you think they got to ask
chewing on KFC it's a holiday weekend.

Speaker 4 (04:58):
Well, I mean he got his emails out me, okay,
fair enough.

Speaker 5 (05:02):
I will say that CTP did come back on Sunday
while we were doing the kind of a word ceremony
and I get over here, He's like, yeah, I was
just working over there, so you know he was working
on Sunday.

Speaker 2 (05:14):
Give him credit for that. Spit shine in the whole boat.

Speaker 3 (05:21):
And then yeah, but I don't think there was a
I mean, like during the dinner, we probably got a
light preview of what got covered in the Meet the
Ghosts and the the other one to Meet the Ghosts
and the keynote. There was nothing, nothing too exciting or new.

(05:42):
I mean Peterson talked a little bit about the board game.

Speaker 4 (05:45):
Arena thing there.

Speaker 2 (05:48):
That implication was nice.

Speaker 3 (05:51):
I don't know, I was I was on the Peterson table,
so I have no idea what Josh talk about.

Speaker 2 (05:58):
Probably suns, yeah, probably guys are playing on the other side.
The Wordly Ball twenty twenty five Worldly Ball Championship was
going on, and if there was one trophy you didn't
want to go home without, it was the Worldly Ball Championship. Yeah,

(06:23):
I mean this was this was right, and that it
was the scavenge Party of the year, right, Yes, well
there is only one a year, but yes, yes, that's
what I'm saying. And of course, as always, City put
on a great show along with some others that that
helped out. And yeah, there was lots of food, lots

(06:47):
of drink, I mean lots of drink. I was, I
was drinking a lot. Yeah, yeah, I don't know.

Speaker 4 (06:55):
I get to drink a lot. I got one drink.

Speaker 2 (06:58):
Ticket, that's it. How many you stealing? Uh?

Speaker 4 (07:03):
At least one more? You know, there was a lot
of probably two more.

Speaker 3 (07:08):
By the end of the night. Because I think I
was the last person to get a drink too.

Speaker 2 (07:15):
A lot of faces that weren't there this year. One
comes to mind. That's also a vault where that's Aviator.

Speaker 3 (07:23):
Yeah, Aviator did not come. Random Joe didn't come this year. Yeah,
those are two I can think of, because there are
the two people I sat next to last year, and
neither were here. So I upset them so greatly they
didn't even come back.

Speaker 5 (07:41):
I mean, doctor, I understand one hundred percent, so I keep.

Speaker 2 (07:49):
Coming back though. But if you weren't on the rookies team,
you were a bunch of losers because the rookies team
took everything.

Speaker 4 (08:01):
Although they did let you fall in a hole.

Speaker 2 (08:03):
Yeah, I would say we didn't continue the tradition of
somebody gets injured at the Scrubs revenge party. This year.
It was me, Wow, this is disappointing. Yeah, you aren't
even there to see it for the rest of the weekend. Well, yeah,
my knee is a fucking size of a balloon. That's

(08:24):
a really small balloon, man. Well never mind.

Speaker 4 (08:29):
I mean, balloons can be all shapes and.

Speaker 2 (08:32):
Sizes, trail like like a poodle. My knees the.

Speaker 4 (08:36):
Sides of a balloon.

Speaker 2 (08:38):
I wasn't going off showing you guys. But yeah, it's
it's big. It's still I don't know when I rhyme
when I arrived a little late, right, yeah, got off
my plane, I said, take me straight to Wirlely Ball,
Right straight to the ball up yep, walk in the
front door, look around, you know, saying hi to everyone.

(09:01):
There's the Wookie, no shirt on, just living life. I
was living my best life. Yeah, and in my best
life backlass.

Speaker 4 (09:15):
Only the Wookie could almost get kicked out at Warley Ball.

Speaker 2 (09:20):
So that bitch haded out for me after I fell
in that hole.

Speaker 3 (09:25):
Yeah, Sydney got to talking to about you, so you
were you were just a naughty boy.

Speaker 2 (09:31):
You want to know what's bullshit? And she was bitching
about me getting out of my car. But she's the
one who asked me to get out of the car
to get the ball, which is depending during the game
that got that happened. That happened one time, and you remember, no,
it only happened one time, And the other two times

(09:53):
were because she didn't have any more balls and somebody
had to go get the ball, and I volunteered. Now
I know better for next time, I'd just be like
you want to know what earn your pay, Go get
me a ball. I'm not get out of this cart.

Speaker 5 (10:06):
What I was hearing is that Wookie was getting balls.

Speaker 2 (10:09):
Is this correct? This is correct? All I was good.

Speaker 3 (10:13):
I also got to play one game a WHIRLI ball
before I left, and uh, I just put my racket
thing down and then just started trying to ram the
poor uh, the poor Dutch guys right off the course.
My goal was just knock one out of their car
or steel, which I did. I just stole Judo's racket

(10:34):
and threw it across the court.

Speaker 2 (10:37):
I as well did that, but it wasn't until Lord
Judeo I forgot who I did it us so much.
They loved us. We were great.

Speaker 5 (10:47):
My highlight on on the ride up, outside of riding
with the one amazing local car who you know, rode
with me and was very very generous, was that I
did not get molested on the way up.

Speaker 2 (10:57):
So that was that was that was really able experience
riding up.

Speaker 4 (11:03):
Molested this time. I thought it was great. Yea, so great.

Speaker 3 (11:06):
I molested at our foreign diplomat and this is.

Speaker 2 (11:16):
I just got to get a better molester, that's all. Yeah,
you got it.

Speaker 6 (11:19):
Back.

Speaker 2 (11:20):
I'm sorry, I'm not good in the community. We're working
on it. We're working on it. Well, I so my
this was my worrybo experience. Right, So I show up,
you know, wok, he's there without a shirt. Okay, say
hi to everyone. I'm like, oh, there's there's a bar.
I'm gonna get a drink. It's like over, get a
drink and give myself a you know, subourban something or other.

(11:44):
Come down and they're like, you're on. You have to
get in. Your team's up. I'm like, oh, so I
slam my, slam my, old fashioned get out of the court,
drive around, have a good ass time, get off the court, up,
go to the bar, get another get another bourbon, come
on down and they're like, hey, we need another player.

(12:08):
You wouldn't get out of the court. Like yeah, so
I smashed that bourbon right out of the court. Just
rinse and repeat. That was my That was my night.

Speaker 3 (12:19):
I would like to cover one more thing from Warli
Ball is. According to Sydney, you guys were all signed
a random uh card value and suit from.

Speaker 2 (12:31):
A deck of cards. Correct, And I don't believe it
was random at all. Well, two people weren't random yes, yes,
but they also made e Walk an ace.

Speaker 4 (12:46):
The race.

Speaker 3 (12:47):
What she did actually make all the twos and threes
vault warriors except for.

Speaker 4 (12:59):
Except for uh myself and Hobo.

Speaker 2 (13:03):
Yes, you were both jokers.

Speaker 4 (13:06):
We got to be jokers.

Speaker 3 (13:08):
But now like Marcus was an ace and e Walk
was an ace, like nah, nah, she picked them.

Speaker 2 (13:15):
That was something random stupid. I was an eight of clubs.

Speaker 4 (13:21):
You guys got to do more as kiss and.

Speaker 5 (13:23):
I guess cards cards just came up in the right
spot for us.

Speaker 2 (13:27):
That's gonna fall this up one man. Yep. I think
it was like a four. Maybe I'll about the ship
list that don't know it.

Speaker 5 (13:37):
And poker or it could have just been or it
could have just been random.

Speaker 2 (13:41):
Any two cards are good and poker, right ah.

Speaker 3 (13:45):
Now, this is far more fun if it's not random
and drass cards on the ship list.

Speaker 2 (13:50):
Yeah. Oh yeah, well, you know, things happen. I love
your dress, You're great. The uh you know it was
also awesome. It was the party by back, party bus
to and fro Yeah. Yeah, the party bus two there
was pretty awesome too. I believe Sheep started cracking champagne
at the bright hour of four thirty.

Speaker 4 (14:12):
I did not open that bottle of champagne. I drank
Kyle's beer.

Speaker 2 (14:17):
Oh, I mean I definitely opened champagne. Sydney open Champagne
on the way out. I made us chokest the bottle
of champagne on the way back to.

Speaker 4 (14:28):
The Vault Warrior dinner with all the Vault Warriors.

Speaker 2 (14:32):
Let me say, somebody is somebody opening champagne? I didn't
know who it was. And then uh, yeah, Drascar, you
were on the you were on the ride back with me,
weren't you when we did the sing along? Hell, yeah,
yeah we're Yeah, we had a little what were you singing?
Whatever was on the playlist? All right, Yeah, that's a

(14:55):
win for looking It was wretched. Yeah, no, it was
the greatest playlist ever. You don't even like music?

Speaker 4 (15:04):
Yeah, this is correct. That's why it was.

Speaker 2 (15:06):
Richard, What did you sing I'm just a girl from
no doubt? No I didn't. I was not on the pan.
I would have been a good choice. I would have
been awesome.

Speaker 3 (15:17):
Now that we covered the non key forgeduff, you want
to move key forge?

Speaker 2 (15:23):
Yeah, you want to move into Thursday? Is that you're
saying a lot of TV. That's what this weekend was
a lot of TV.

Speaker 6 (15:30):
A lot of again later a lot of ridiculous amount
of turns being messed up because that card was forgot
to be triggered.

Speaker 2 (15:40):
A lot of HPV happened. We had the l c Q,
which how many people got in from the l c Q,
I feel like that number was very low this year.
It was only like seven total seats five Alliance to
see Field and that's right.

Speaker 5 (16:02):
There was zero ARCon slots. So it was the last
chance qualifier zero offered.

Speaker 2 (16:10):
Yeah, you know, we so I think last year they
had more seats, right than I think it was the
same amount of seats they just because of the second
because they got down.

Speaker 3 (16:21):
They they had seats for every format last year and
they got to.

Speaker 2 (16:25):
Like right, but remember there were less invites player, right,
but they got only first place in Vault Warriors got
invites last year. This year first and second both got invites,
so there was well.

Speaker 5 (16:39):
Yeah, they actually over like there were more invites handed
out than actual slots at World's for That was true
last year too, Yeah, except the people didn't show up.

Speaker 2 (16:50):
You got to have a play in any case they
actually show up, and they do have a plan. If
they show up, they expand the bracket or don't.

Speaker 5 (17:00):
So so here here's Here's where then it gets tricky
because Josh came in and said made an announcement that
they would go ahead and have additional slots because they
had overbooked, and that would be two, and then promptly
when I had and reverted back to Nope, that's not
really what I meant.

Speaker 2 (17:21):
Yes, No, he did not. He said maybe two, maybe two, yeah,
and what what was trying to any It would be
maybe two to round out the numbers. And then they
found that they had everybody, so they didn't give away
any Yeah.

Speaker 5 (17:40):
So what ends up what was shown online and what
was reported beforehand, is that if they have an odd number,
you would add in a person so that it would
become an even amount.

Speaker 2 (17:51):
I think that's the right call.

Speaker 5 (17:53):
But as soon as you say too, you can't go
back and reduce it to one or zero. And whether
you see it or not, they're multiple vials that happen.
They just did it, and that's the problem. But as
a last chance qualifier, you have to have if someone
came there and they wanted just to play arkon and
they didn't even have a chance at that for Worlds
that's a miss, and that's an easy fix to just

(18:15):
put you're already past your amount, put plus two people.
If it's an even amount, put plus one. If it's
an odd or plus or plus.

Speaker 4 (18:22):
It was a big deal.

Speaker 2 (18:25):
Agreed.

Speaker 5 (18:25):
Again, it's one of those things that's small. But those
little ticki tac decisions just aren't necessary. We had a
great event overall, but there's no reason if the number
is already beyond twenty four. The difference of twenty six
or twenty eight matters very little.

Speaker 2 (18:43):
But when you say something, it has an impact on
the community to hear your word. Okay, I heard him
say maybe two if any, and that's neither. That's neither
heighten nor hair. How I went into and I went

(19:07):
back to the hotel. My decks were pooh, malicious, bad bad.
So here's here's a Here were my options, right? I
opened one deck with shadows redemption or untamed. And then
I opened another deck and that had Saurian redemption untamed.

(19:33):
And then I opened another deck and it had logos
redemption and untamed. So what do you think I did
Loyo's redemption on tame. Yeah, I took all. I took
one house from each one and did locals redemption on tape,
which also were poopy houses. None of the houses were good.

Speaker 3 (19:54):
I lived that life, but I lived that life on
the second day.

Speaker 2 (19:59):
Yeah, well, no you didn't. Your deck was significant. Oh
you mean in worlds? Yeah, because I did not have
any of the cards you want to have in logo
in well, okay, I had. I had. I had triple
parallel thinkings. That was my big logos ability. And then

(20:21):
I didn't have any of the things. No, I didn't
have any of the story and cards you want to see, right.
I think I had sentimentary nap and that was probably
about it. I had that dumb one who comes on
your opponent's side of the field, YadA YadA. And then

(20:41):
I did not have any of the good steal, not
even a bandit culver in my in my shadows. So
I went on to pretty good culver, very good. M hmm.
We'll hear more about that later, Yeah, yeah we will.
I don't dress. How do you do? Uh? So I

(21:04):
I did? Okay, Uh, I don't. I don't know if
I won three games or four games, I don't remember,
but I had I actually had like a fun deck.
I had like a janky weird deck, which you know,
I kind of like I had a so my my

(21:26):
shadows pod was a double rigged lottery, double Miasma, and
then I had untamed with a bunch of cycling like
the invigorating showers and whatnot, and I think some some
diss just to disrupt and slow down my opponent. Right,
So my my wackado game plan with this weird deck

(21:50):
was too you know, Mike some member, because actually it
could make Ember decently well. And then uh, set up
the shadows with the invigorating shower. Then try to double
rigged lottery and for six each time they're as close

(22:11):
to you as you can get. Uh, and then and
use the miasmas because probably your opponent's playing shadows, so
you have to use the miasmas. So uh So that
worked a couple of times. I lost, though, because player
Herb played his in furnace at the absolute perfect moment

(22:33):
to I played both miasthmas, and the next turn I was
gonna go on tamed to shuffle all back in and
I probably should have held one of them, is really
what I should have done, but I got greedy and
he purged both of them. And then you know that
was basically basically my game plan was over, so I bursted,

(22:54):
but I also gave him a bunch of ember and lost.
So but that was a fun day, even though I
didn't win. I was it was fun to play. But
then I definitely needed to go take a nap because
I was hurting a little bit from the night before.
That nap refreshed me at helped nice.

Speaker 5 (23:16):
I can go ahead and say I actually opened decks
that realistically in the Last Chance qualifier, my deck looked
better than where my sealed deck showed up later and
it did not come together. I went one and two,
So it was it was very odd, I think for

(23:38):
the first time ever looking at Doka afterwards, the actual
decks in the pods themselves, I chose almost the poorest
of my pods. And I still disagree about this. I mean,
Loka Gar and I talked about this on the ride back.
Just the idea of the decks did not perform as
well as we thought that they would, and so that

(23:59):
was interesting. Out of the three decks that I had,
I had a seventy two SaaS, ninety three SaaS and
one hundred SaaS and I ended up choosing two of
the decks from the seventy two, so that was interesting.
I did have options. I ended up with Shadows, sorry
and diss. The Shadows pod had two shadows pods, and

(24:24):
it's interesting what was actually different between them. So one
had a thunk Porterscilla versus a moon cursor, burnished nickels,
chummy Bannit culver, and then it was gone pear shaped

(24:46):
or hoodwink brutal consequences or borrow, and so I went
with the hoodwink. I think that out of that matchup,
I think they're very very like comparable. One was sasas
at thirty one versus thirty three, and that house could
do something, but basically once you'd blown the hoodwink or
you'd pushed through, your pretty well done. I also didn't

(25:07):
want to have a lot of the little guys between
the thungs, the urchin, the fall guys.

Speaker 2 (25:14):
I just didn't want to have a lot of little
shadows creatures.

Speaker 5 (25:17):
Out the one hundred SaaS deck had a twenty nine
SaaS Redemption Pod, and just I really struggle with that.
It has double edgimagus and it was something that you
would look at.

Speaker 2 (25:35):
That's the only reason you look at a Redemption pod
of I.

Speaker 5 (25:39):
Know, but look at what else is here, like double Salve,
Eh could care less, Piccaroon, Girlands, even Ivan, Dark Centurion,
Citizen Shricks. Fine, then you have the mist they gained
the mutant trait, but what can I do with it?

Speaker 2 (26:03):
Nothing?

Speaker 5 (26:03):
I have Namel's confession and then dark influence. Like I
just that pod does not scream out twenty nine to me,
it is. It seems very overrated and n sealed. Yeah,
if I could get a board, sure, but there's there's
very little unplay here, and so you need that board

(26:25):
to stick. You have the Citizen Shricks, you get agimages
that can go ahead and gain the amber with what's there.
But I think if you see Adeamagus and you're pulling
against redemption, you just kill it and say what else
do you have in this house? So Eh, I don't know.

(26:45):
The two Sarian pods were pretty close together. I went
with a too low and Imperial Scudum versus Pumpetous like,
I don't know they were. The pods were very very similar.
The one house that I can go ahead and be

(27:06):
very very honest and open about is that my disc pods.

Speaker 2 (27:10):
Like you're lying about the other houses.

Speaker 5 (27:13):
No, I I think that the Sorry, I think the
I think the shadows and sorry, and I'm fine sticking
with the disc Pod.

Speaker 2 (27:22):
My third, I don't know if I can believe you now, Ah,
you know what's happened at my work. I don't know
if this has happened to your guys places, Like there's
this thing now where like everybody like prefaces these statements
with like well to be candid, Like oh my goodness,
Like it's like, I don't it's like what you're gonna

(27:44):
say something like, well, to be candid, So to be candid?
What not? Just your work to be candid.

Speaker 5 (27:55):
The disc House has some some nice items, a gift
of Amber, Creeping Oblivion, Infinity, Strop, Poltergeist. But it's got
both Solock and Atrocity, and I do think that there
they're traps to be able to look at double Blood,
chart imp, Carrion Worm, double Chasm, investment in Dark Minion.

(28:16):
You look and you go, okay. Atrocity can definitely pull,
and Solock can do something. There's a lot of r
that's in sets, so maybe Solac holds a little bit less.

Speaker 2 (28:25):
Value, but I still went with it.

Speaker 5 (28:30):
You had some sad, sad, sad moments when you're sitting
with blood chart imps, but you have some removal and
you have some control. Ironically, I ended up in a
soul lock on soul lock game one, and.

Speaker 2 (28:44):
That was probably the close game your kindred souls. You
locked each other, We locked each other.

Speaker 5 (28:50):
Actually in game one, I will say I had there
was an anomaly dragon that was in my opponent's deck
that was house enhanced, and that's really what you want
to soul lock. And my problem was I had nothing
on board and nothing in hand that was diss so

(29:10):
I had to take a turn to just soul lock,
but it would have locked him out of two houses.
And I said, I will wait a turn and I
will get one card. And then I did that again,
and for four turns I never got anything, and then
it was way too late.

Speaker 2 (29:26):
So don't don't go how to make that move.

Speaker 5 (29:29):
Just decide right away to take a bad turn to
lock them out of two probably the difference in that game, actually,
but it was a very very close game, and I enjoyed.

Speaker 2 (29:38):
That it happens. De Portu makes decisions. Man.

Speaker 4 (29:49):
When when y'all started talking, I couldn't remember what houses
I had, But then it came to me.

Speaker 3 (29:56):
One of my houses must have been Sanctum because it
had Trunk's Creed and Abbad the Graham and a benevolent charity.

Speaker 4 (30:06):
And no greedy reprisal. That's all I remember.

Speaker 3 (30:10):
And then I know I had a Star Alliance because
I had a cosmic recompense, so I had two of
the most broken cards in the game. My first game,
I started with some totally mediocre discs and I lost.
So then I shuffled in my not great Sorrian pod
with like triple governor give the six power guy that

(30:34):
when he fights, he plays the top creature of the discard. Yes,
and that switched all my fortunes because then I won
my next five games in a row, finished five to
one in like as the worst. I was the worst
X one player because I lost in the first round,

(30:55):
but that was good enough to get me the last
seat in Alliance Worlds, and I made a mortal enemy
of shadow Meld because he really wanted that seat and
he was one position behind me in the qualifiers, so
he watches me, a guy who does nothing but talk

(31:15):
trash about.

Speaker 4 (31:16):
Alliance take his Alliance seat. He had an Alliance brewed.

Speaker 3 (31:21):
It's the only reason he comes to KFC used to
play Alliance and then some jack wanting Alliance.

Speaker 5 (31:30):
Well, he could almost auto make top eight with the
Alliance open, so he's fine, thank you. That's what he
needed to say to you, thank you.

Speaker 2 (31:38):
Thank you.

Speaker 3 (31:40):
Well then then I was like, I told him, well,
I think what I'm gonna do with this seat is
just play fraud to put the accolade on it.

Speaker 2 (31:47):
Oh yeah, you're definitely creating mortal enemies.

Speaker 4 (31:50):
Yeah well, I mean, yeah, I didn't do that.

Speaker 2 (31:59):
I almost did. But anyway, there was my lt Q.

Speaker 3 (32:02):
I got two of the broken cards. I did broken
things with them. He broke, I got an Alliance seat.

Speaker 2 (32:09):
Isn't that what happens? Sheep breaks people? Not this year.
You got broken. He didn't break me, questionable.

Speaker 4 (32:22):
I'm breaking hearts and minds everywhere I go.

Speaker 2 (32:26):
All right, we're moving to the keynote. We're our Glorious
Leader c TP.

Speaker 4 (32:31):
This is why I'm going to bed because I damn
near fell asleep during the keynote.

Speaker 2 (32:35):
Yeah, you left.

Speaker 3 (32:38):
I walked out during to meet the ghosts that started.
I said I don't need to be here, and I left.

Speaker 2 (32:43):
Yeah, I watched sheep. I was like, oh, okay, some
notable mentions. Pvs sold out of the warehouse. It's not
necessarily at distributors, certainly not at so cheap. For the
rest of the next day, decided to tell everybody to

(33:05):
go buy as much TV as they could on their
game found while there was still time just to I think.

Speaker 4 (33:10):
There's still oh no, the game phone closed now.

Speaker 2 (33:13):
Yeah, it's closed now, So like do you think you
think CTP walked out of his office, walked down the hallway,
and it was like, hey, game center person, owner not owner,
manager person, you should buy the rest of PV. So
I could go say that it's sold out, but.

Speaker 4 (33:34):
It's not sold out. You could still buy it on
the GG.

Speaker 2 (33:37):
Website, the not the game center of the GG website. Yes,
that's hilarious. Well, I'm logging in now to ste if
that's still true. All right. While you do that, we
are looking at a March April draconian or poopy dragons

(33:58):
Draconian measures release.

Speaker 4 (34:00):
Dragons poop they have been upgraded to poopy.

Speaker 2 (34:05):
No, we don't know, And and then we get kind
of the overview of what's going to happen for the
next year, which is a lot of what you've seen
last year twenty twenty six. During January February, we'll have
the Discovery season, so basically a season to get new
players involved in the Key Forge and.

Speaker 4 (34:26):
I can still add prophetic visions to my cart and
on that.

Speaker 2 (34:30):
Good night guys, good night, good night twenty and then
start champs. And I thought they said February March. February March, yeah,
hold on, I got I got a picture Old and
then a Vault Tour season like we've seen before, and

(34:51):
then KFC wraps it all up in KFC, and then
we got the January February is the new OP Discovery
Kit with new keys, so we're getting new keys. Yep,
all right, and I look good. It could be cool.
I know those were artists or renditions, but they looked good.
Good to see some new keys. It'd be nice to

(35:12):
see some acrylic tokens like Ward and Enraged, which we
still don't have, I mean middle Rember they did. It
was actually pretty cool. I like, well, make some everything
else please so that I can complete my set. It's
really bothering my ocd SO store Championships February March yep,

(35:33):
forebrum March, and then we move into the Vault Tours
and national season, along with a storyline event at some point.
Hm so Augustecember yeh for some Basically the same kind
of rhythm we had last year will be the same
rhythm from this year. It will be the same rhythm
this year. So more of the same. Still no local

(35:55):
op ewalk. How do you feel about that? Oh ewalk left?
Where did he go? He was so upset? No, no, no,
I just get active.

Speaker 5 (36:04):
I had to go ahead and actually put in the
images that you were talking about people calling on because
we do have some friends following along. So you can
now all see the timeline.

Speaker 2 (36:14):
Yeah, the time, yes, the time. And then the big reveal,
we got the certain darkness reveal the two houses that
were purged our Logos and Sanctum.

Speaker 5 (36:31):
Can I just say I'd called that there was going
to be more than one house, thank you?

Speaker 2 (36:35):
Yeah, no problem. Did you think it was going to
be logos due to story or did you think they
were just going to take the top two.

Speaker 5 (36:42):
I just thought they would take the top two, but
they took it from story and as the overpowered house,
I can see why they did it.

Speaker 2 (36:49):
H Logos. And then everybody hates Sanctum, so they got purged. Yeah,
the Sanctum or redemption more.

Speaker 5 (37:00):
Now this is where this is where Sheep really needs
to come in, because Sheep really is all about the
conspiracy theories.

Speaker 2 (37:06):
Oh he's one hundred percent correct. The conspiracy theory is
that this the whole Sanctum like logos was kind of
I guess always going gonna get it right because they're
the ones who found it, so they're they're the ones
that were going to get it, So that was always
a thing. But supposedly the second house, which is Sanctum,

(37:28):
which was chosen by the community for the most perched cards,
and Sheep's just like, that's a porshit. It's definitely shadows
and he was told no, no, And Shep's like, I
don't know if he was going to go find evidence
or what his game plan was, but she'd been convinced

(37:48):
that it was not Sanctum. But again, we didn't have
a Dapapa track in it this year, so we really
don't know, you know, nobody was importing it, so we.

Speaker 5 (38:01):
Can I say, yeah, can I say though, I really
think that this would be a great tool for next
year's storyline event one to actually put the storyline event longer,
because why not let people play and enjoy it, but
have kind of that little update kind of from the battlefield.
It was it was cool to see to pop up
putting it together and like, oh, the rebels are winning. Oh,

(38:22):
now the elders are winning. Like you can go ahead
and see that kind of back and forth. So it
would have been fun to see, oh, look, house logos
is jumping up. Oh shadows, look at redemption and so
you have like that can actually start to persuade people
to be purging more of those houses. I just think

(38:43):
it's a great aspect to bring into the community is
to have that storyline event, but just make it visible.
And so a little chart that gets updated, whether that's
once a week, probably once a week I think would
be a reasonable amounts. It'd be cool something to check
in get people to come back to the same website.

Speaker 2 (38:59):
So keep Fortune dot com. But that'd be my recommendation.

Speaker 5 (39:02):
Yeah, like order more kids so that you can save
or but that's what that's what we want, right, that's
a win for Gigi. Buy more kids two okay, and
then there's transparency, then there can't be any conspiracy theory
because it's easier enough to see. Now, I will say
near the end, I think that you know, a week

(39:22):
before keyboard celebration or maybe two weeks whatever the end
period is glitch it goes offline, all right, go to
KFC in order to see the final results, and so
you just have the final tally, but you can definitely
see guess what, Mars was not in danger because they
never were on that board or near the top three,

(39:44):
and so you can just see it's a it's down
to the last couple of houses and then there's a
lot more.

Speaker 2 (39:49):
Well, Mars was never in danger because I think most
people are doing prophetic visions, which Mars is not a
part of I understand.

Speaker 5 (39:56):
But you know what I'm trying to say. It's the
idea of here's the TI three houses or four houses
that are in the running, versus where where did Sanctum
come from? Because yes, Sanctum was talked about, but it
wasn't one of the major It wasn't one of the
major houses that I'd been hearing or seeing online.

Speaker 2 (40:14):
We purged sank them. Yeah, but like you saw a
lot more shadows being purged, and he did Sanctum. I
saw a lot more star Allians too. We burned star
Allians once. I was like, what's wrong with the monsters?

Speaker 5 (40:28):
Starllions and shadows were purged consistently, also Redemption. I'm not
saying that other houses weren't perched, they just seem to
be purged at less of a rate and without anyone
tracking it. It would be great to be able to
see a track somewhere I did.

Speaker 2 (40:42):
So what was super weird about it is like, if
you know, Jeremy has just been up the stage, been like, yeah,
we'll publish the numbers, everybody be like probably like okay,
but there was so cagey about well, I don't know
if we could do that. It's like, what are you
guys cooking the book? Is that what's going on?

Speaker 5 (41:02):
That's definitely how it came across. So like super weird,
But okay, drazz from a computer site, how difficult would
it be that if I have as a t O,
if I'm inputting what house was purged and how many cards,
how difficult would that be to have that input into

(41:22):
a graph that then is scrolling or updated.

Speaker 2 (41:25):
That's very difficult. Yeah, that's pretty easy. I'm just which
is a thing you could definitely vibe code that in
like a day, you can vibe code that. I can
vibe code that before I'm know what the podcast.

Speaker 5 (41:44):
I felt that it was easier, but I don't have
any ability, so it would take me years to do,
so I leave it for others who are a lot
more capable.

Speaker 2 (41:52):
The Uh, yeah, it was. It was really weird. Maybe
they didn't they just dumped it to like a file
and somebody had to annually go into alliot because you
know they like to do manual work there instead of
having easy buttons. I don't know, but yeah, it was
definitely weird, like definitely felt like a missed opportunity to

(42:14):
like get people excited about the event going on, which.

Speaker 5 (42:18):
Is why I put it up as an idea for
next year if we want to make it better again. Overall,
still a great event, but yes, there's a couple of things.
There's a couple of things we could make better.

Speaker 2 (42:28):
All right, moving, I like we're moving to Meet the Ghosts.
So Meet the Ghostes was an event that happens every
year where the ghosts get up on stage and we
get to ask them questions and they get to not
answer ready. So one question about was fol foil was

(42:52):
just the foil or borderless cards just being able to
be slotted in, like to pimp your deck. Is that
what you're going for? Yeah? Yeah, So you know, like
every year, one of the questions on can we slot
and foil cards because people will like that? And they

(43:13):
were like, no, this game, you can't do that, and
people like, but we sleave our decks and they're like,
it's impossible. And then then CTP took the mic and
he was like, well, maybe someday, that's not all. That's
not at all what happened. Curley just flat out said no. Right,
Hurley said no because of all the because there's pips

(43:33):
on cards and that would just be too difficult.

Speaker 5 (43:36):
I hear on the I hear on the pips. I
think the best response that was given to me, not
from a GG staff, but this was just another keyboards player,
was we have the ability to print a full deck.
So if they have ability to print a full deck
versus just a card, I get it, and that that
is an option. But I'm telling you for all of
us who are playing competitive and it has to be sleeved.

(43:59):
If they're a card that matches with an amber, like
if it has an amber on it and it doesn't
have any other enhancement. Swapping it out is perfectly fine.
If it has an enhancement, Okay, you can't swap that
out in the turn in the deck that you're playing. Great,
we're we're but we can look to see it's either
blue or it's not.

Speaker 2 (44:19):
It's not blue. Guess what. Swap it out and majority
of your cards aren't blue, or you could do that. Yeah,
I just I don't.

Speaker 5 (44:28):
I don't see the stigma of why we can't go
ahead and sub out these cards. It's easy enough to
print two hundred, one hundred copies of something. We see
this with many other CCGs because they I know they
don't want to, and then that's what it really comes.

Speaker 2 (44:44):
Down to, right, So why don't just say we don't
want to deal with it instead of giving us uh
Discovery kits are going to be available for any any
and all playgroups. So you won't have to go through
your local UH friend local gaming store to get discovery kits.
They're open to anyone who's willing to buy them.

Speaker 5 (45:09):
Don't have a local store to play, So I'm fine.
I thought I thought that was something from last year
that we had heard the same, but.

Speaker 2 (45:16):
We had asked the question last year and they had
said no. Basically, the short and skinny was they didn't
know who was you know, who was who, what was what?
And it was just too difficult to decide who to
give kids to and who not to give kids to.
And so the answer at that time was no. Clearly
they have changed their mind on that. My guess is

(45:37):
mainly because if we're buying it, who gives a shit? Right, Like?
Who cares?

Speaker 5 (45:44):
So?

Speaker 2 (45:45):
I seem to remember them saying something about they want
to make sure to support local stores, which I get,
but it's still weird. The main problem that they're going
to have right now is I agree with supporting your
local store, but when you run a game found sure
you really getting from your local store.

Speaker 5 (46:03):
No.

Speaker 2 (46:06):
So question was asked about the randomness in cards with
cards like as again later control dominating games. That was
it was it intentional or was it random? And we
got oops, well, yeah, so it was not intentional. I

(46:29):
was like, hey, PV, we've seen a significant uptick in
random chance deciding games at key moments, right, and the
card games there's always random chance, but right, ask again
later strong fades atrocity, right, really driving these trends? Right?

(46:49):
Did you think of the house? Did you guess house
they were thinking or not that decides the game? Did
you happen to flip into a house where you can
prevent your opponent from winning? Yes or no? Right? Three
turn in a row? So basically, was this your intention?
And do you is this a new trend? Do you
want this to be the level of of randomness going forward?

(47:14):
And basically what they said was, well, we wanted to
be a skill based game for skilled to matter, so
we didn't really attend for chance to play such a
high role. So oops, I guess I didn't say, however,
could you have missed this and play testing? Yeah? Oops? Like,

(47:35):
I don't know, I know they probably there was a
group of skilled gamers there that could give you feedback like, hey,
this might be bad. You need to cultivate more playtesters somehow,
they need to cultivate playtesters who are not just yes people. Well,

(47:56):
I don't think it's a matter. I don't think I
also think you think that.

Speaker 5 (48:00):
Yeah, I think it's a matter of listening to all constituents,
your playtesters, people outside of that being able to go
ahead and a just based on the feedback that's given.
There's a large process that goes to it.

Speaker 2 (48:13):
I wouldn't say that. I think it requires multiple individuals.
I believe the next question is you, mister j R.
With Trenk's Creed, and.

Speaker 5 (48:24):
Well, I will go ahead and argue that before that
we heard many different asks about local op like. It
came probably in four to five different ways, but the
short bit is, no, we're not getting consistent weekly Ope,
it's going to be a summer event. It's going to
be then I should say summer storyline events, which is later,

(48:46):
and then it's going to go ahead and be the vaults.
That was a little disappointing to still.

Speaker 2 (48:50):
We're getting a store championship as well.

Speaker 5 (48:55):
Store championship is there, But even that, there was a
question about will we get more than one store championship
so that it would be for each of the sets,
and that answer was no.

Speaker 2 (49:05):
No.

Speaker 5 (49:06):
So there's some interesting ideas, but no. I came straight
out and asked basically that there were cards that were
errated in f FG days. Are we going to go
ahead and see a more consistent errata or are we
going to eratu cards like Trent's Creed, where the intention,
in my opinion, was not to go ahead and collect

(49:28):
all of one's amber and then completely swing it to
the other side. Or I also use Jane the Bard,
which was the scrapability seems really odd that you would
want to scrap or toss it to exalt two of
your own creatures. And the answer that was given is, well,

(49:52):
we're looking at how cards do this weekend?

Speaker 2 (49:58):
Did I get that right? Yep? Yeah, yeah, so he
is open to it. He has opened a whole bunch
of maradas. We don't know it was it was. He
didn't really say when we're another we could, but what's
the chances they were out of the right things? Right?

Speaker 5 (50:14):
Like?

Speaker 2 (50:14):
I think Trenk's creed is an easy one, right supposed
to say friendly yeah, but that they probably won't do
it because.

Speaker 5 (50:24):
It doesn't the what do they do for asking again later?
So ask again later is a real big question. But
with Sanctum being purged, is Trink's creed and even Jane
the Bar do we care anymore because.

Speaker 2 (50:41):
We've seen poopy dragons? Right? I understand. I don't think
poopy Dragons is gonna dethrone PV from from where it
is right now. And I hear that.

Speaker 5 (50:52):
But if we go ahead and look at how Trink's
played this weekend, I think it was very interesting to
see its place in sealed for both worlds and then
the open, and to see how it did and arkon
open in Worlds. Drenks showed up in the sealed open,

(51:16):
but it did not show up in the World's Open
to the same extent. We had a couple of them
that showed up. This was actually talked about earlier today
in our discord that they were categorized, but it wasn't in.

Speaker 2 (51:36):
I don't know.

Speaker 5 (51:37):
I guess i'd say obscene amount, but it really depends
on personal preference with what.

Speaker 2 (51:41):
Rember is also a rare, so it's not easy to
come by, but it does I think the game. I mean,
I think Sheep's deck just proved it has game altering
effects right five and one, because he had two of
the most broken cards in the game.

Speaker 5 (52:00):
La Out told you, Yeah, I will say that you
have to have the right pod for Sanctum. I think
that it's a lot easier to find other houses. Other
pods and other houses in PV. Sanctum as a whole
can be problematic, and so to find a house that
has the has trenks plus enough other cards to make

(52:24):
it viable. Is not an easy task.

Speaker 2 (52:29):
All right. There was some talk about a b g
A integration. We'll see if that really goes to If
they do that, and I guess it would be pretty
cool because not only would it give it'd actually be
doing some marketing boys crazy because BGA is a giant platform. Yes,

(52:51):
what better way to get key forage in the eye
you know, and in the eyes that of the hands
of many, but to get on BGA? Mm hmm. Marketing
fifty percent of marketing doesn't work.

Speaker 5 (53:08):
That did come up. That made wiki very happy.

Speaker 2 (53:13):
I want to talk on you and just be like
yal bingo, like it's okay.

Speaker 5 (53:19):
I was literally have my head in my hands.

Speaker 2 (53:22):
It was great.

Speaker 5 (53:25):
And then you know how much you know how much
marketing doesn't work if you just don't do it.

Speaker 2 (53:32):
It was I wanted to sit there and yell. So
if you do none of it, does fifty percent of it? Still?

Speaker 1 (53:39):
Is it?

Speaker 2 (53:39):
Still zero? Is that how that works? Yeah? Zero? Was still? Still?
Is that still zero? So you get absolutely nothing out
of it and you don't do it. Huh. Weird asked
about where the company will be in five years, which
was really like good question from Shaka is like, you know,

(54:03):
it's like what I said, Hey, where do you see
the game and the company in five years? And CDP
is like, I don't know, hopefully we're still here. Come on, dude,
like I have a vision. Man, he's gonna he's gonna
sell this gaming company to the same people he sold

(54:24):
f FG two and make a bucket of money. Probably
not probably, but maybe he's just happy with what he's got.
I don't know. Maybe that's fine for us. I don't know.
It was weird though. I was like, that's not even
if that's real. That's not how you're supposed to answer
that question, right, Like you go to a job interview, right,
or or like you get to a review with your boss.

(54:46):
Where do you see yourself five years from now? Like
you're supposed to say something interesting? Right? Yeah? Sure, I
don't Why not? I should try it? Lookie, I should
all right, I'm skipping over the next ones and we're
going right, and it's forage. I thought.

Speaker 5 (55:03):
I thought de Dev's question, will you do more videos
so people can actually understand the concepts was a good one.

Speaker 2 (55:10):
Maybe. Yeah, there was a lot there's already videos out
there for people to understand the concepts.

Speaker 5 (55:17):
No, no, no, like okay, this goes. If we had
had PV where Gigi actually ran through PV and you
could see the prophecies and the fates in effect, I
think that it would have helped reduce some of the
mental capacity in the load when people first got into
the set. It also, again is marketing and shows people

(55:38):
the game. But those are the things that we want.

Speaker 2 (55:42):
To but again, marketing doesn't work, so we're just gonna
do none of it.

Speaker 5 (55:46):
I'm just gonna say, if you don't want to go
ahead and do that yourself. There's a phenomenal community you've had.

Speaker 2 (55:52):
You have that we have, no community. Put it to
the community. No stop it, sit down, no no more,
free work for no more. I said nothing about it,
but kettle. Now you're gonna pay you ship? What do
you need?

Speaker 5 (56:12):
Well after well after what we saw what the world's
prizes were.

Speaker 2 (56:18):
Okay, fine, I can't disagree with you. Put you back
in your in your ewok kennel, Get in your kettle. Anyways,
Snack forage, we had a big uh snack snack attack.
Forge community cards were handed out by dead sink. So
that was a lot of fun. I think there was
like forty two to collect, right something like that. Yeah,

(56:41):
actually was it forty two. I don't remember how many.
I will tell you people were people like, we're really
into it.

Speaker 5 (56:49):
People stayed up late to play because you actually could
use the community cards this year, so like it took
it to another level. And I saw people then trading
their extras and trying to complete the set.

Speaker 2 (57:01):
This I thought was an absolute winner from the weekend.

Speaker 5 (57:05):
This community event was phenomenal, got people engaged.

Speaker 2 (57:10):
It was very very well done, so good. It was real,
and our card was awesome. Our card was dope. We
had snacks, we had oriole cookies. As keys, we were
the red key. HFFS was the yellow blue key. Blue key.
I think they're the blue key. And then there was

(57:31):
a litany of other but other people that were the
yellow key. Yellow key was the key Forge key, but
but there was other one. There was other ones. I
think Amber Medis had one. A few people had keys
so reacted and then we had we had the cake
to reveal our card. Boys, we're in key Forge. We

(57:56):
are We're in key Forge. I forgot the name of
our car. Isaac something or other. Right, I don't know.
The card is actually like the dude in the middle
and we're just all around him, right, Yeah, I think
that's what it is. It's like, so I'm like a
dwarf drinking beer right e wok is with a square

(58:18):
jar uh. We got Wookie you doing something stupid, right,
and then a drink there you go. And then we
got doctor Sheep who's got Sydney up on the should.

Speaker 5 (58:34):
Correct I was trying to get there.

Speaker 2 (58:42):
So and we're actually a really good card, are we. Yeah.
So every time your opponent re draws card, draws more
than one card, or draws their second card for the
turn you you steal to amber. Yeah, so pretty good.

(59:04):
And it's a four power elusive, yes, right out of
range being zapped out of the sky by most direct damage.
And it's elusive, so it's tough to deal with. It's
also rare Friday. We get in the world sealed and
the open sealed. Doctor Sheep did poorly, if anybody was wondering,

(59:27):
His polls were a lot like mine, hot trash. I
did okay. In the open sealed, I ended up going
four and two? Was I five and two? One of
the two doesn't matter. I didn't make it. I got
two losses. Drazz hund you do I did, okay, So

(59:49):
I so I ended up using an ARC on deck.
I thought about swapping pods, but I was like, ah,
it's not necessarily better, so I might as well just
use our conduct. I had no C options at all,
So I was like, I was a little worried because
I don't know. I feel like I can play with

(01:00:10):
no ember control and as long as I'm making mbur
and of good C, but no creature control is hard.
So my deck had three point eight C not a lot,
but it did have thirty four ember control, so that
was cool. Uh, Trank's creed and that accounted for thirty

(01:00:31):
two of it. Yeah, basically so yeah, Trenk's creed and
hoodwink at both. Right, So in theory, the theory, I
should be a great shape until you get abortrocity three
times in a row and yeah, or board, right, that's

(01:00:51):
the problem, right, Like so like there were a number
of games where like they were just reaping for a
billion and I would steal a bunch or you know,
but you can only do that so many times and
so well, in Hoodwink purge. So yeah, yep, yep, Hoodwink
gets purge. You know how quickly you can get back
to tranks right like? So it was I. I was

(01:01:17):
hoping to do a little better, but uh no, such luck,
mister Elock. How did you do in the open? I did?
I did well Day one.

Speaker 5 (01:01:33):
I had a very very close first game, squeaked that out,
and afterwards I started to kind of roll.

Speaker 2 (01:01:40):
A little bit more.

Speaker 5 (01:01:43):
I faced net Mike in round five and just narrowly
beat him, and so I went into the top eight
five and oh and so was feeling pretty good there.

Speaker 2 (01:01:54):
Nice.

Speaker 5 (01:01:55):
I will say that two of my pods immediately jumped
out at me. I did have a Sanctum pod that
was just really really good Trenk screed luminous boom, yes
and yes, please double equalize dissonant cord for some damage.

(01:02:17):
It had the couple creatures that I didn't want to see,
but it only had five so Brigadier Owls, General, the
Wise Jane, the Bard, and.

Speaker 2 (01:02:24):
Double light Bearer Calvin.

Speaker 5 (01:02:27):
But that was definitely a pod that immediately jumped out
and it was well worth it. I did have to
take a pod from each of my dacks so Sorryan
was my other one double Laurca infantry Lichter Justinian, But
really the it had two degenerate decor, which is so good.

(01:02:50):
You can exalt the most powerful creature three times or
the most powerful friendly creature captures three and so a
way to be able to just put a bunch of
amber that I'm gonna eventually get or fight pretty soon
was really good. It had too low, But the real
winner here was double Governess Sylvenia or a Sylvina number,

(01:03:15):
which is yeah. In its play move each amber from
a friendly creature to the most powerful enemy creature, and
I almost always use that instead of the stun two
creatures with no amber on it, but with two of them,
one of them enhanced. With that capture pip, I could
pretty much take the amber that was happening with Tryng's

(01:03:38):
creed if they.

Speaker 2 (01:03:40):
Refused to play a board or for a while or
go ahead.

Speaker 5 (01:03:46):
And the luminous boom is where it really came up.
So I could capture with the luminous boom, which is
capture all and then I could send it over. I
also had double Lorca infantry and Rufus Belgilius, which is
the basically capturing. So anything that I could stack with

(01:04:07):
the equal eyes, I could move it and then move
it over nice. So yes, playing against me, you did
not want to have a board, but it worked very
well for day one.

Speaker 2 (01:04:18):
Moving into that, we played some poopy dragons. Boys, how
are your poopy dragons? I mean my deck was great.
I mean great, it's the wrong word. My deck was
fun and there was lots of interesting things going on.

(01:04:38):
I know a lot of people didn't have that experience, No, no,
but I literally had. I played my first game. I
lost pretty handily and I dropped because I'm like, I
have zero interest in ever seeing this deck ever again.

(01:04:59):
Like it was that well, like it was that bad
number one. Okay, So there were full art decks. I
didn't get any full art cards.

Speaker 5 (01:05:07):
They were really yeah, this was I did not get
a full art deck, but those full art decks, there
was one next to me.

Speaker 2 (01:05:14):
Those full art decks were really really neat looking. I
didn't get one of those. All the cards are blue,
huh yeah, I uh that mine was fun. You don't
skip over this, you put in here. All the cards
are blue? Oh yeah yeah, because like you look at

(01:05:37):
the arc on card, I'm like, wow, I have a
million enhancements and the like. You look through and you're like, no,
I don't because because when they printed them the full art. No,
it's not just a full art they have. If that
card has an umber pip on it, it's blue on
the arc on card, even if it's normally has an

(01:05:59):
umber pip. Yeah, okay, oh yeah, So I know that.
I wouldn't have known that because I didn't have many
pips in my deck. Because my my deck, I can't.
I cannot stress to you how terrible my deck was.
It was absolute a hot pile of steaming dog shit.

Speaker 5 (01:06:23):
I kind of wanted to play against you just to see.
And the reason being is I love my key forage time.
So I enjoyed my key forage time, and I went
zero to three. My deck could do two things, really
really really well. People said, there wasn't see, oh, I
had plenty of C. I had so much C. What

(01:06:45):
I could do is I could generate plus one power
tokens and then blow up my own board. I was
amazing with that. I could even blow up your key.
So in two of my three games, my opponents got
to forge even more with me because they forged or
key is.

Speaker 2 (01:07:02):
Perfect. So what do I think about this set?

Speaker 5 (01:07:09):
I want to I want to face our two decks Woki.

Speaker 2 (01:07:11):
We should because my deck did nothing well. It didn't
do see well, it didn't do creepy, it didn't go
this is a prime candidate. My Mars was just horrid.
I can't even remember I had Mars. I had Saurian,

(01:07:33):
which again was hot trash. I the third house, but
it was so nope, wasn't that one. No, it was
just so bad, so bad.

Speaker 5 (01:07:46):
Well, you're looking at I will I will say it
worries me a little bit. The ceiling to the floor
seems to be pretty wide, so from a sealed perspective,
I like to have a tighter set that Sealed games
are pretty close, so that was a little worrying that
we could have quite a range. You can open up

(01:08:08):
something that's pretty.

Speaker 2 (01:08:09):
Good or really really poor. But time will tell. I
think we need to play more. Remind me of og
Code of Days about how bad it could be, like
just that that, but like think of like that pain
bad that you had back in code. I don't remember

(01:08:30):
that pain bad in code. I remember that in a
I will say that. But at least if you got
pain bad. You both had pain bad. I think that it.

Speaker 5 (01:08:41):
I think it's going to be more f f G
because you don't have tokens, you don't have your prophecies,
so there's there's less ways to be able to move.

Speaker 2 (01:08:55):
They were terrible too. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:08:59):
I will say that some of the things that were
played against me or I heard other people talking about,
they looked fun dres when I talked to you or
other people who went three and oh they had a blast, but.

Speaker 2 (01:09:12):
That I was fun winning fun. Well, I will say that. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:09:18):
I will say that, like Skyborne, there was a lot
of ready and used and so some had also.

Speaker 2 (01:09:25):
Got red line rotation and against all flags back. Yeah, yeah, yeah, but.

Speaker 5 (01:09:31):
It actually wasn't those cards that stood out. It was
more than ready in use, which allowed things to be
able to happen. But one of the complaints that people
were talking about was, hey, I don't have C again.
My deck had so much CE it just would build
a board and then kill itself.

Speaker 2 (01:09:48):
Yeah, here's our card, local car put it in here. Yeah,
at the end of your opponent's turn, if they draw
two or more cards during your drop card steps, still
too good stuff, It is very good. But I will
say I there.

Speaker 5 (01:10:06):
There's a little bit of worry, but we'll see.

Speaker 2 (01:10:09):
We'll see what it comes out. All right, After all
the festivities were done, we all went to the following
Knife brewery.

Speaker 5 (01:10:18):
Oh wait, you missed the most important part. What the
arbitrator showed up?

Speaker 2 (01:10:25):
Oh yeah, Steve was there. The arbitrator showed up and
granted us face punches or slaps, open hand slaps.

Speaker 5 (01:10:35):
I will I will go ahead and say the arbitrator
was actually interested in playing has played a few games
to keyboards, very few, but actually playing an official Draconian
measures And unfortunately that was not an option for him
and his buddy. It was a magic player, so we
could have had two additional sealed players, but they had

(01:10:57):
no interest in playing an arc Hunter Alliance, whether that
Open or worlds. And so that's a pretty steep especially
for one deck to go ahead and buy the three
day pass for one hundred dollars. Yeah, so unfortunately couldn't
get in, but hopefully that could.

Speaker 2 (01:11:12):
Be said GG just couldn't take one on the chin
to maybe get two additional players.

Speaker 5 (01:11:17):
Well, it doesn't have to be on the chin. You
can buy here's a day pass, or here you can
buy for this event.

Speaker 2 (01:11:24):
It is literally two decks.

Speaker 5 (01:11:27):
I understand, but I would just I know that they're
always looking at how to go ahead and change this.
And no, we didn't want to have it for a
single day, because that was what was told to me,
is that.

Speaker 2 (01:11:40):
Well, how would we go ahead and and know what day?
And I say, you right on.

Speaker 5 (01:11:44):
Their pass Thursday or Friday, in sharpie, seems pretty straightforward.
I mean, we see this for gen Con where they'll
have days, but we don't have to go over.

Speaker 2 (01:11:57):
Right.

Speaker 5 (01:11:58):
No, that's sharpie, right. You really really cause it a lot.

Speaker 2 (01:12:01):
But you are a genius. Somebody should hire you.

Speaker 5 (01:12:07):
But no, mister term Key came out and we had
a wonderful time playing some board games.

Speaker 2 (01:12:13):
It's all right. After I dropped out of that, I
went and played with Steve and his friend John I
believe it was. I went and played Race for the
Galaxy with them, great game. Didn't didn't really know what
the hell I was doing, but I lost too, which
that was cool. And then we all went to the
Falling Knife Brewery afterward and played a bunch of board games.

(01:12:36):
I know there was. The Gang was a heavily played
game over the weekend, so was Circle Is it is
it rings and things, circles, things I love. I love
rings and things. It's it is one of my new
favorite games to play. Extraordinarily fun. The Gang's good too.

(01:12:58):
Just after you've played so much of The Gang, you're like,
I'm ganged out.

Speaker 5 (01:13:02):
I will say that the Falling Knife Brewery was the
best beery that I had from Minnesota.

Speaker 2 (01:13:09):
It was very good. So, oh you didn't come with
us to Indeed, I did not know. I did not
get it. Indeed was very good. I enjoyed it. I
think falling Falling Knife was better, though you think so
I enjoyed my beer much much. Well, I didn't have
a beer at Falling Knife. I had a snow cone
grape snow cone slushy. Yeah, well that was your problem.

(01:13:30):
Yeah I was. I did chose poorly. Looking back now,
I was like, oh, that sounds good. I like ices.
Yeah it was bad, but that's not like. No, it
was too much of a wine taste in it, and
I'm not a huge fan of wine. So but it
was fine. We moved into Saturday, which is now Worlds

(01:13:51):
and the open. Oh, you guys went to you guys
went to the Roof Beef Joint, So good man. You
guys got lunch before we did, so we did not
get an opportunity to go with you, so that kind
of sucked. So World's players started after the Open players did,

(01:14:15):
so our lunches did not align, so we went to Panda.
They got to go to a roost beef place. I'm
totally jealous. I should have just played in the open
because I owe tuned in worlds Want Want got my
got my teeth kicked in. I didn't get no slouches
in either. I played. I played a mirror match against

(01:14:38):
Squash first round and it's literally who's going to guess?
The game was who's going to guess wrong? First? Guess
who guessed wrong? First? It was me? And then next
game I went up against cap Marrow that that deck
she's got is still sick at top four No, no, yeah,

(01:15:00):
top four a top four, it's still sick. And now
it's different and it's even better. So yah. But winner
for World c H World Sealed was Dave c again
pulled some pretty nice stuff. Open Sealed winner. You want

(01:15:23):
to go through this one, mister ewok, since you're relevant
in it. Sure.

Speaker 5 (01:15:28):
So I was very very blessed to be able to
make it to the final two, and I faced off
against Ned Mike and Ned Mike and I had a
really really close game on the day before Friday and
I was able to squeak it out, and that was
not the case on Saturday. Ned Mike played phenomenally well

(01:15:49):
and he three owed me both games. I finished with
three well, with one amber and then three amber, and
I'm like, whoa like, how did that magically change? And
it was trenths on trinks, so it did try but
it came down to timing. So it gets a little

(01:16:11):
bit more exaggerated on the actual score. But there was
in game number one, there was a rage resets that
was headed an absolute perfect time. Again he had to
place it and I had to call wrong, but that
rage reset was a fifty percent chance, and that hit.
What hurt was that he then immediately purged because the

(01:16:35):
trenks went and my Governor's Sylvania with the capture pips,
so that both of them went and he purged it with.

Speaker 2 (01:16:47):
In furnace in furnace, So.

Speaker 5 (01:16:49):
I'm like, all right, well, I still have luminous boom
to capture. I can still send over. He had creatures
out early in that first game, and once I got
to anywhere of close, it was just too late and
he pulled off the board, which was very very smart.
Game number two was a very interesting game in that

(01:17:09):
early on we have I have an empty board and
he double dooms and hits my Trenk's creed with the
discard pip and I'm like, that is a sixteen percent
chance hits because there's not a creature out, You're not
sending anything else back to my hand. But that that
made it rather difficult, and yeah, I I could not draw.

(01:17:35):
I did talk to him and it was really interesting.
He was playing an ARCon deck and he actually took
this ARCon deck to the ark On Open, and so
I was playing a similar deck, but it had different cards,
a couple different like it, just it was a different
deck that I was playing for open the arc On Open,

(01:17:59):
and because he had it as an arc On deck,
he took it into the Open and was able to
go ahead and make top eight. But it also gave
him all of Saturday to practice with it. And I
really give him credit because I think that's a great
It was a resource that was available to him, but
that helped him to get to know the deck a
lot better because I was like, how was the game

(01:18:19):
so close?

Speaker 2 (01:18:20):
And I just got absolutely smoked.

Speaker 5 (01:18:22):
Well, practice, if you practice the deck, if you go
ahead and get more reps with it, you see more
aligns with it, You're gonna get better with your deck.
That was not an option with me, as I had
a pod from each deck. But again, Ned Mike, total
credit to him. He played his he played well, he
got lucky, and you know, he had voice that hey
I got lucky when I hit this, sure, but he

(01:18:43):
also played very clean. There was no mistakes and it
was great to play against him. Unluckily for me, they
actually extended invitations for next year to the top two.
Like all of the mirroring vaults, you have access, yeah,
I have access to worlds.

Speaker 2 (01:19:01):
Yeah for the Minnesota dues. All right, you guys went
to Insight Brewing too that night. Uh yeah, not that night.
I thought it was it that night. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:19:21):
Because you just came back when I was and as
soon as you came back, and I got real cold
and did not pull anything, so.

Speaker 2 (01:19:29):
We ditchede walk while he was playing to go to
Indeed Brewing. Well, he didn't realize he was in the finals.
He wasn't in the finals when we went to indeed right,
and then we and then we got food, We're like,
oh shit, we need to go back. He's in the finals.
So we went well, yeah, well, so we were gonna
go get food, and then I don't remember if it
was who went in to the place we were going

(01:19:49):
to go eat, and that was like in a definite wait.
They didn't know how long we'd be waiting. So then
we're like, we're going to Uncle Frankie's, which me and
Steve we thought was a dive bar earlier because I'm like,
that's definitely a dive bar, and it's like, nope, it
turns on it serves food. So then we ate and
Uncle Frankly are like, oh shit, he walked me to
top two. We gotta go back. Yeah. It was like

(01:20:12):
like a little old Hamburger yeah spot from like nineteen
fifty four. It was pretty good though. It was pretty good, right,
and I was quite shocked. I'm not come in right
and there's just the woman in the cash roster and
there's the cook, right, and so like you know, doctor
Sheep's like, oh yeah, give me the give me the

(01:20:32):
juicy lucy, and so you know, the cashier takes disorder.
Then then the cook's like, you know that it's gonna
take like ten to twenty minutes. She's just like staring
at him. She's like, uh, it's like I'll have a double.
She's like, okay, she starts making him that instead, yeah, triple,

(01:20:56):
forget what you got whatever. So yeah, she's stared him
down until it changed his order. And then and then
we went back to go uh hype up and he
promptly lost. Sorry.

Speaker 5 (01:21:09):
Maybe rule of thumb is don't hang out with you guys,
and I played much better.

Speaker 2 (01:21:14):
Yeah, But after that we went to another brewery which
went to last year, which is Insight Brewery, and I
can't remember what we played Telestrator after Dark, Telecaster after
which is telestrations illustrations after which normally normally I'm not like,
you know, that's normally not my big thing, but like, uh,

(01:21:39):
it was fun. It was fun. It was a lot
of fun.

Speaker 5 (01:21:43):
We can see the artistic ability of some people in
the group.

Speaker 2 (01:21:47):
Is extraordinarily artistic. Who knew.

Speaker 5 (01:21:53):
Very very I did feel a little bad for the
rest of the population in the brewery. It wasn't super packed.
I think there was one other group that was playing Yeah,
there was a group that was playing Magic and a
couple other side, but we definitely weren't keeping down are.

Speaker 2 (01:22:09):
They were they giving us looks? I don't even notice.

Speaker 5 (01:22:11):
I don't know, not enough that mattered. I know that
we had kind of glossed through. Saturday, I actually ended
up so there were seventy six people in the Arkhan Open,
and I ended up facing There were only two teammates.
That was Dexter and one dras Corps and Drascourt and

(01:22:37):
I got partnered on our first match. That's right, yep,
So that that was that was something, and I felt bad.
We mulliganed and then dras Corp magically has all of
his mars very very early.

Speaker 2 (01:23:00):
And yeah, I just had to hit the gas right
because of that matchup. If the game goes long, it's
probably your favor, right, So so I'm like, well, I'm
just gonna hit the gas Probabilistically, he doesn't have the
graft yet. So I burst into like sixteen amber or something,

(01:23:23):
and he had the graft.

Speaker 5 (01:23:24):
So I was like, well, yeah, I'm mi asthma, I'm
so I had I actually had Trenk straight Misma and
the graft but all that you cared about was the graph,
and like, well, you have no way to discard this.

Speaker 2 (01:23:35):
I will just creatures like this my marcycle, I can
end the turn with no creatures on board. And you did.

Speaker 5 (01:23:41):
You did that excellent that I'm not going to trinks
you and so yeah, no, it was. It was brutal.
And then graph came out and it was all in
turn three. I'm like, well, I don't want all of
this early, and then I wanted it and it was
it was wonderful.

Speaker 2 (01:23:57):
Yeah, yeah, So I worked out for you, so nice. Yeah.
How did you end up finishing in the open? Uh?
It was? Uh? I was so I lost that game
went forward and just got played against a deck that
could loop its atrocity and I was played against me

(01:24:22):
three times and I think I was time walked six times,
and I almost won, but I didn't. It was it
was unfortunate because I actually had so finally, after being
time walked like two or three times, the atrocity kills itself.

(01:24:47):
I have in my hand the b r Geist and uh,
I'm not able to to get him haunted so that
I could I could play it later in the game.
I actually ended up doing it. But it was too late.

(01:25:08):
Of course, flipped a card you know, didn't stop him
from killing the killing the adverts right that killing, excuse me,
not the infert is killing the atrocity, and and then
I lost. So yeah, I felt like I didn't guess
the house he was thinking of. Very well, so you know,

(01:25:28):
what are you gonna do? Guess better? I know what
I can do? Yeah, I mean, guess better? Is is
is what guess better? I mean that we should change
the tagleg of this podcast from draw better to guess
better better? I mean what the game is right now?
Guess what house I'm thinking of? Better? I will say.

Speaker 5 (01:25:50):
I put into the show notes a deck that I
played so.

Speaker 2 (01:25:54):
On that had to have been the Last Chance the
live show chat.

Speaker 5 (01:26:01):
It's a live show chat, but on Thursday during the
Last Chance qualifier, because I did play in second amber there,
I went one in two, I faced a lovely young
boy Jackson, and hit a really really cool deck which
was General Ghost Glasade. So it is this Amber Sky's
deck with triple against all legs, redline rotation and then

(01:26:25):
double a rise, double drumble, and so it's just this
loop of basically, if you go to six, the geistoids
and the Skyborne is going to go ahead and basically
push you back down. If you go to seven or higher,
it's just gonna all be captured. But the real hint

(01:26:46):
for this deck is that he's got a hungry hippogriff,
though not familiar with that. That Skybeast has five capture
pips that it brings in. So that's all scattered throughout
the deck, but it says each other their friendly creature
gains destroyed Movie Jamber from this creature to your pool.
So total grindy game, like really fun game, just back

(01:27:08):
and forth, like how do you get around this deck
to just keep going forward? So I knew this, and
we had played well past time as they were trying
to close up on that Thursday, and then I got
paired against him when I was two and two or

(01:27:30):
I think at that point it was yeah, I was
two and two or one, and it would have been
to one. It was well, well see that's the thing. Look,
he I ended up finishing what should have been two
and three. So explain that one to me because I
faced I faced our good boy Jackson in that two

(01:27:52):
and one match, and I'm like, ah, this deck is
just brutal to play against. I don't have the tie, Like,
what am going to do? So I got to the
first key pushing four. I'd gotten the second key, and
he was just super tired. He'd stayed up. His dad
had made one of those final slots to be able
to go into with the last chance qualifier, so he'd

(01:28:13):
helped him out, which was super cool, but you could see.

Speaker 2 (01:28:17):
The ten year old was just really tired.

Speaker 5 (01:28:20):
And so we're playing, playing and get to the essentially
what is going to be the final round. Right before that,
i'd pushed. I'm like, I'm just gaining amber. He ends
up going ahead and I'm in this drum ble lock.

Speaker 2 (01:28:38):
It's a rise.

Speaker 5 (01:28:38):
He only plays one drouble Arise, drumble a rise like
he's literally a rising and then trumbling. I'm able to
kill it. Time ends and it's on my turn. All right,
there's nothing to do, but I could not kill the
drumble in the last time. So all he did here rise.
I'm up two keys to one key, but he has

(01:29:03):
the drumble out. So the question was do you know
what the end of time rules are? And he goes,
I can sede. It's a real like do you know
what's happening?

Speaker 2 (01:29:17):
Do you know what's here?

Speaker 5 (01:29:18):
And I know you're tired, but kind of going through
that well, he had cycled, he had brought out the
Hungary Hypocrite. He had not fought with his drumble. But
I could not kill the drumble because of I could
not kill the drumble with the elusive because I had
one creature of each house and there was enough damage

(01:29:41):
that he could have fought into it. Now, he never
said to fight, but he said I can sede. It's
at this point his dad comes in and is like, Hey,
I don't mean to be dad, but uh, can I
go ahead.

Speaker 2 (01:29:55):
And call it judge?

Speaker 5 (01:29:55):
Yeah, you can call Judge like you have anyone as
like it's weird as here, And he was really cool.
He's like, I want to just make sure my son
understands what's actually happening. But he calls over and it
just creates this super weird, awkward moment and so g
is brought over and she's like, well, okay, here's the

(01:30:17):
end of time rules. Yeah, there's sixteen amber out. It's
going to go that he gets to forge a key
and then he'll have more amber on the type breaker
and he'll end up winning. I said that's fine, and
Jack's like, I already put in I concede it. I'm like,
I can just press concede too. We can like we
can go through this. And he started and says like,

(01:30:38):
that's not the point of this. We want to teach
him for a long time. Like I one hundred percent agree,
but I can't take a win off of this, and
so it was like super super super super weird and
awkward and like what are you doing? Like so we
basically held up the round as they're trying to decide
what to do over this play, and after that we

(01:30:59):
immediately got pair and I got paired up and I
get paired against one of the other four o's. So
it all worked out because I got I get beat
right away. But it was like I technically went two
and three and I should not be here. This is
not it. I can go ahead and double concede, but
that's not what was said, and it went to that

(01:31:21):
he went ahead and had conceded, and so that was
what G ruled. Is that because he had conceded that
that we're moving on. I'm like, it's a ten year
old boy, I don't care like, if he doesn't know,
we can we can go ahead and press a button.
That doesn't matter. So I give Jacksonville credit.

Speaker 2 (01:31:38):
Really cool. DAK was a lot of fun.

Speaker 5 (01:31:40):
I would have actually liked to have seen that go
into the other PV meta because it just causes a
lot of issues if you don't have something like atrocity
for the control.

Speaker 2 (01:31:49):
So go check out that DAK super cool. Yeah, it's
a one nineteen on the drazz score dot com. Check
it out there. I change the site a little bit
so it's easier if you don't have a log in
to just immediately start using it, so doesn't force you
to log on screen right away.

Speaker 5 (01:32:09):
Did you update it that we can get from the
old site over?

Speaker 2 (01:32:14):
I don't know, I mean from that's no way they
get that. I know. But that's the problem we have
to I mean I that would be a pain in
the butt to try to figure out to do that.
What do you what do you want to do? You walk?
What do you want me? We'll figure that out later.
Let's move in a Sunday the Top eight. You can
check all the top eights over at arkhan ar Kana.

(01:32:35):
Winner for Alliance was Eleen mac from France from France.
And then the winner for Arkhan was Willy five on
five one zero right yep, Taiwan, Yeah, Taiwan. I couldn't
remember if it was five one zero five oh one,

(01:32:56):
but Willie.

Speaker 5 (01:32:57):
It's fine, it's five. Yeah, it's five to ten. So
Alliance was Ellie Mac and Virus Incoming. Both were on PV.
Alliance yep. And then for Arcan was Willy five ten
and Lorenzo ninety nine.

Speaker 2 (01:33:09):
So again look at both PVV. Yeah, both on TV.
PV dominated the weekend. It did dominate the weekend representing
Ember Skies in the top eight. The only arc on
Top eight not PV was Tooting Carnage, who is in

(01:33:30):
the audience right now with some Nary so get slow
tude garbage. So nary is uh is uh. As the
top eights are going on, we have the team event,

(01:33:50):
which is can we officially say it was yours e walk?
If we didn't, we just did. So it was my
community idea there.

Speaker 5 (01:34:00):
Josh and GG had asked right away, hey, can we
go ahead and we really like this to be a
GG event and can we go and set this up?
And so I did work with Josh and GG in
order to make sure that it was an event that
both sides could go ahead and use it. Originally, I

(01:34:20):
did want it to be kind of a year of
Sealed in Review. So the idea was to do amber
Sky's Vault Master twenty five and PV. With the amount
of TV we had done, I'm really happy we actually
didn't have more PV and Vault.

Speaker 2 (01:34:32):
Master twenty five was not an option.

Speaker 5 (01:34:34):
So we went back and forth and we ended up
with Talk amber Skies in Vault Master twenty four. So
what do you think, Dres you had played?

Speaker 2 (01:34:45):
It was a ton of fun. Yeah, it was. So
I played with x Ray and B Hawk and I
played amber Skies and x Ray played Talk, B Hawk
played VM twenty four. Uh, we went two and one.
We had a good time, and uh, I thought everybody

(01:35:07):
was really enjoying the team event. There was. There was
lots of folks who who you know, who were enjoying it.
And the prizing. The prizing was good, right, like, uh,
you know, three rounds and you know you guys, well,

(01:35:27):
I mean you guys took it down right. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:35:29):
So I was very very lucky Teamy Walk I had
camera and Loco car with me and It was absolutely
wonderful to play. It was great to talk kind of
shop and go back and forth. I felt that our
decks did go ahead and jump out at us. Local
Car opened up a top deck that had five five

(01:35:53):
of a card, you know, just a job.

Speaker 2 (01:35:56):
It was.

Speaker 5 (01:35:57):
Yeah, it was five routine jobs. So we actually figured
is that it pulls in sets of two or three,
so there had to be two sets and one of
them of two and one of them three. But five
routine jobs is incredible. My deck actually struggled probably the
most out of the others, but I had a double
arcanometer deck, and out of double arcanometer, one of the

(01:36:20):
arcanometers had a Mars pip on it, so that's that's
definitely something and it shuts down a whole lot for
amber skies. And then Kamira just played really, really well
with his decks. He had a very close match in
match number two, but we were able to be successful.

Speaker 2 (01:36:40):
It was it was amazing.

Speaker 5 (01:36:41):
Yeah, my my deck is Loco Car points out just
didn't make amber.

Speaker 2 (01:36:45):
So it was so slow.

Speaker 5 (01:36:47):
I would see others just grinding away and grinding away
outside of the arcanometers. I had no real way to
stop people from making Amber and it didn't have C
but it if you're trying to play cards, you lost
Amber for sure.

Speaker 2 (01:37:04):
All right, And what did you guys win for winning
the event?

Speaker 5 (01:37:08):
Sookie problem? Yeah, glad you ass they're Wookie. So out
of the three event like playing three rounds, there were
twenty three teams, so great job. Having all the teams
show up. We were able to go ahead and get
two full sealed boxes and as first we got a
choice out of which of the three boxes. So there

(01:37:29):
was a box of Amber Skies, there was a box
of Vault Master twenty four, and there was a box
of Talk and as first we got a chance to
pick two. So that split was eight decks for us,
which was really really good.

Speaker 2 (01:37:45):
People the best prizing. I would say, let's segue, what
what what did the people in the Worlds get?

Speaker 5 (01:37:55):
Well, I can tell you that for my second place
in the sealed Open, I did get access to Worlds
next year, which is great. And I have a really
cool foiled matt that is amazing and well worked that
that is really that it's just beautiful. There's a pin
as a finalist, so I appreciate that finalists being all

(01:38:19):
the top eight people got finalist pins, but I didn't
know that it was second. But then I got one
vault Master twenty five, one vault Master twenty four and
one vault Master twenty three deck.

Speaker 2 (01:38:35):
What the So you got better prizes especially event, than
you did for placing higher in a larger event.

Speaker 5 (01:38:48):
Well, and realized that I had to go five and
oh on the first day and I was one of
the early entrants in.

Speaker 2 (01:38:57):
People. What did Dan get? Now? Mind you, Dan top
ate a an alliance. Yeah, if memory serves, Dan got
a play mat it is, yeah, a vault Master twenty
five deck and a vault Master twenty four deck. If

(01:39:21):
I remember correctly, this is alliance.

Speaker 5 (01:39:28):
Okay, so I can say Sydney with her alliance top
eight had a Vaultmester twenty five, vault Master twenty four
in the pin, and then the mats, oh yeah that
was that was hers. And then Dan's World Alliance was
Vaultmester twenty five, vault Master twenty four the pin, and

(01:39:51):
then my second place was the vault Master twenty five,
Weltmester twenty four, Vaultmester twenty three in the pin.

Speaker 2 (01:39:59):
So you got better, I think in the team event
than you did for being in Worlds, yeah yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:40:07):
Or not only Worlds, but being in Worlds and making
top eight, which is like that's a real accomplishment to
go ahead and.

Speaker 2 (01:40:15):
Not harder to ghost Gallopy. Wow, it was unfortunate.

Speaker 5 (01:40:20):
I think we're like, yeah, I think this was the
biggest mistake that they had.

Speaker 2 (01:40:26):
Yeah, like yeah, the prizing for second Ember was like better, yes,
so second Ember, right, you get your blue tickets. Now
it's you know, it's random, so you're not you're not
getting in volume. But the cool thing was they were
handing out they had a box full of geo tagged

(01:40:49):
VM twenty five decks from all the different Vaultaurs locations,
like including international ones, and so you could just win
a geotag deck from uh from a various places, which, honestly,
what they should have done for Worlds is like, if
you win Worlds, you should just get a geotag deck

(01:41:11):
VM twenty five from every location, right, like like that
would be kind of cool and and you know, maybe
two of them if you're winning. Maybe I don't know,
like but yeah, no, instead said there was less so
so interestingly enough, so Daniel Vee, Right, they got great

(01:41:34):
guy from Spain who came out and we actually from
beer Forge, right, we hung out with him. Yeah, we're
honary remember as a beer Forge now sucking check. Yeah,
we hung out with him quite a bit over the weekend.
So he had to run to catch his flight. So
he's like, here, take my blue ticket. So I was like, okay.
So so actually the number got called, so I got

(01:41:57):
a Vietnam Geotag deck and then uh we better open that.
That's a banger right there. So like the couple next
to me, I assumed they were a couple. Actually they
were always together and uh, I guess I don't actually
know they were a couple. But from Germany they also win.

(01:42:19):
But then the deck they get is like from Germany,
and they were like, how did we end up with
the one from Germany? We're from? Like, we're from Germany.
And I was like, I'll trade you because I don't
care which international deck I get. So yeah, I gave
him the Vietnam deck and I got a Germany one.
So now I got a Germany. Is it in German? No,

(01:42:40):
it should be in English English? Ye, I haven't opened
it yet.

Speaker 5 (01:42:43):
Okay, over, I will say our last chance qualifier boys
had one hundred and thirty people. The World's Open for
Sealed had one hundred and thirteen, and then you had
the twenty four playing in this seield. So for one
hundred and thirteen person events to get three decks like
we had seen first place last year? Was that not

(01:43:04):
two boxes? And then second place got a box? Ye
like to go all the way down to essentially scraps
of here's one one in one. I mean I had
people tell me that I should have just sent it
back and said, you obviously need this more than I do.
But yeah, that that that one was, that was a
pretty big hit. I don't know what happened, what the

(01:43:26):
mistake was.

Speaker 2 (01:43:27):
But they sold too many.

Speaker 5 (01:43:32):
If you need if you need to put in if
you need to put an high box, you need to
put an eye boxes on boxes of Vault Master twenty four.

Speaker 2 (01:43:42):
They had piles of them in the back, and I
will tell you were allowed to buy three, but there
were tons of people who were like, I can't remember
if it was local. Cairo came to me and told
me it's like I just went and bought some and
they didn't punch my tag, So like yeah for twenty
five no, no, yeah, no, it's twenty five the green Ones. Yeah. Yeah,

(01:44:09):
well I'm telling you right now you were able to
buy three and then they were supposed to punch your
badge there. I don't and I don't think some people
were getting their badges punched. Yeah he Lokar just said
he bought five Vault Master twenty five decks.

Speaker 5 (01:44:26):
There were thirty boxes that were there. And I will
say I appreciate that Marcus really went ahead and was
able to convince them to produce this because when I
was trying to set up for Sealed, it was not
an option. And not only that, but these were KFC
exclusive Vault Master so they actually were geot no, but
they were GEO take like its really cool. Yeah, that

(01:44:48):
is really cool. Like that's what we want is for
an event to have it. Hey, I went to Worlds.
This is it so awesome job on that we got
to publicize and let people know, not figure it out,
but we need to have some prising that set aside
that that was sad, I'm still happy. I mean, how
can you really complain when you have access to Worlds and.

Speaker 2 (01:45:12):
You did as well as you did. But if you
fight through a large will find a way. Let's not
what well, let's let's let's head home. To head home,
I need to get some CP you walk local car
x ray myself. We went to get some ramen that
was pretty good.

Speaker 5 (01:45:33):
That was actually the first dinner that I had that
whole once I made it there Wednesday night. I did
not have dinner Thursday, Friday, Saturday, so that I got
to do better. You know.

Speaker 2 (01:45:45):
Boys, So here's what you should do. You have that
food truck come for lunch, but you give us an
hour for lunch, so like we can totally just walk
to Bison or one of those other places, get lunch
and come back. Like that's easy. Dinner is the hard
one because they seem to want to roll directly into
whatever it's coming next. Yeah, like you need the food

(01:46:07):
truck there for dinner, like what we did us, I
would have used it. Yeah, Thursday still the problem I
feel is like Thursday night. Yeah, oh I don't know,
because right we eat at like nine o'clock in the morning,
and then it's like we get in there at like ten,

(01:46:29):
and then by like one, it's like all right, we're
doing lunch, and it's like ah, really right away, it's
like you play two rounds and then it's lunchtime right away.
It's like now, it just feels too too quick. I
don't know.

Speaker 5 (01:46:44):
Dinner's the problem with Keith with a keynote and meet
the ghosts. We're staying for that, so I see why
others left. Friday it was Torconine measures and then Saturday,
I was blessed to be able to be in for
a world so I stayed in order to play the
top eight and then top four in the finals. So again,
this is all a really good thing, but it just

(01:47:05):
it really meant that there was not going to be dinner.
So I really enjoyed the ramen. I really did, and
it was it was fun hanging out.

Speaker 2 (01:47:14):
Yep, yep. Yeah. We left quickly and we uh and
we laughed. Me and Dan left quickly. We got the
hell out of there and it was time to go.
I knew I had to be in early on Monday.
I was not interested in staying any longer than I
had to, so as soon as an opportunity came to

(01:47:35):
get get the funk out of there, I got out,
and boy was it needed. Got home, got myself a
nice bit of sleep that was much needed, even though
I did not drink nearly as heavy as I have
in years past, I was still seepy. And that's okay.
I did I was drink.

Speaker 5 (01:47:56):
The most important thing we found out that Wookie snores
less if we put him on the floor.

Speaker 2 (01:48:04):
Yep.

Speaker 5 (01:48:04):
So here going forward, he is now forever put on
the floor.

Speaker 2 (01:48:09):
Yep. We just need to buy a air mattress because nope, nope,
I don't want the stores on the floor, Nope, I need.
I need the air mattress because I needed that for
my back that night because my back was really giving
me issues because of the limp and all day. But
I was like, yeah, I need the hard I need
the hard ass floor to like realign my back, which
it totally did, so I was really happy about that.

(01:48:32):
But yeah, I need like an air mattress. It just
even maybe one of those just like cant with it,
those camping pads, just a little something to soften that
floor just a little bit, just a little bit. It's
all masking, just a little not terrible.

Speaker 5 (01:48:48):
I will say that the community events, the community cards
were huge hit. I think that overall KFC went well.

Speaker 2 (01:48:58):
Overall.

Speaker 5 (01:48:59):
I actually like seeing Meet the Ghosts and the keynote
on that Thursday night. I thought that we had minimal
issues overall except for prizing. Prising was probably the biggest
failure that we saw, and it was pretty substantial. But
if that's it, it only impacts a couple of individuals.

(01:49:21):
I'd still like to see more prizing just given out
in general for Fellowship Awards. People who are like, hey,
you showed up well, but but it makes you feel good. Man,
if you've if you've lost, if you lost in your
out and you're like right there that day for second Amber,
here you go, here's a pin, here's a deck. Things

(01:49:42):
of that sort that I did. I did put in
that I wanted to see Fellowship Awards are prizing for
teams in the team event, because if you lose the
first round, you feel like you're out, and okay, I
have nothing really to play for outside of just the fun.
But if you throw in a deck or two, you know,
so in this case, it'd be three decks for a
couple of teams.

Speaker 2 (01:50:03):
It's just it's it's a good win.

Speaker 5 (01:50:04):
Okay, I lost, I can't get the big prize, but
I have a deck and it's something to go on for.

Speaker 2 (01:50:11):
I like that idea. It keeps morale up, and that's
something we could do better with.

Speaker 5 (01:50:16):
But if that's really the worst of it, only a
couple of us were hit for it. It is what
it is, so overall, really really fun, wonderful weekend.

Speaker 2 (01:50:27):
Yeah. I had a ton of fun, hanging out with folks,
going going to food, going to have some rings, playing
key forwards. It was. It was a good time. It
was a good time, all right, So morel of the story.
Get your answers to KFC. It's always a good spot.
Nobody's angry. Nobody's angry at KFC. The only championship that

(01:50:50):
really meant to anything this weekend was the Worldly Ball Championship,
which will be defending champions. It's okay, yeah, next year's
Wordly Ball Worlds. Wow. Well, well, congratulations to the winners,
right Dave c ark On, WILLI Alliance Elli Mac and

(01:51:13):
of course, uh Wookie, congratulations on your wor Yeah. No,
it was a huge win. Really was done by all.
You know, we had a good we had a good
team out there on the on the Worli ball court
that day and we just you know, we just had
the visions rink rink Yeah, yeah, no, no, nobody really

(01:51:36):
understood why I took uh Luke because I got asked
a couple of questions on it. I'm like, dude, the
guy's like six ten, it's tall. He fucking reaches and
touches the goddamn scoreboard. Why why would I not take him? No?
I was like, we may have our differences on cards,
but I need him to shoot some goals. And then

(01:52:00):
my job was basically to just hit hit, hit other
bumper cars, and I will our game plan was executed flawlessly.

Speaker 5 (01:52:12):
I'm glad that you were able to execute. I will
say it for our open winners, uh being able to
get access in Vargas taking first for Arkon Open Panic second,
so both qualifying for next year. And I think Vargas,
if I'm correct, that does give him each of the trophies.
So pretty sweets there. And then for the Alliance Open

(01:52:35):
you had Dorian Levin who took first and Mickey for second.
So shout out to all the top two is qualifying
for next year.

Speaker 2 (01:52:42):
Mm hmm. Yeah, don't go on any vault to his assholes.
Oh wait, I'm sorry that will love some of them.

Speaker 5 (01:52:50):
There's a lot of swears here, a lot a lot
of donations, even qualifying even qualifying for next year, there's
the vaults are a wonderful experience and so it takes
some of the stress off. But no, there'll be lots
of reasons to go and play and to have fun.
It was a little weird not to have the listing

(01:53:12):
for the first vaults or any vaults for next year.
That was part of the did we have that?

Speaker 2 (01:53:17):
Last year?

Speaker 5 (01:53:19):
We heard that we were going to go to rose
Was it Roseville? That was two years ago? And so
this year was it Baltimore? Well, two years ago, then
we had it? So last year do we not?

Speaker 2 (01:53:31):
Though I didn't think we had it till January. I
could be wrong on that one. Well, yeah, we'll have
to see where the events are. I honestly don't remember,
but yeah, we'll have to see where they are next year.
I know last year came out much earlier than it
did previously. Yeah, well now that helps the plan. Right
two years ago I came out really quick. But hopefully

(01:53:53):
