De Limburgse Olaf H. is veroordeeld tot een levenslange gevangenisstraf voor de moord op een echtpaar en een poging tot doodslag op hun 9-jarige kleindochter. Er zijn veel omstandigheden die erop wijzen dat hij inderdaad de dader is. Alleen: onomstotelijk technisch bewijs is er niet. Olaf zelf, die al 22 jaar vast zit, ontkent nog steeds schuldig te zijn. En hij krijgt daarbij steun van enkele vooraanstaande wetenschappers. Kan Olaf inderdaad onschuldig zijn en al die tijd onterecht gevangen zitten?
