In the inaugural episode of The Link, Meredith, Farah and Diana catch up with Eliza Byard -- a woman who might truly save the world one day. Eliza started with The Center of Investigative Reporting where she became a editor, writer and co-producer of 'Out of the Past,' which premiered at Sundance and won the audience award for best documentary. She joined GLSEN as deputy executive director in 2001, leading an organization that works to ensure that LGBTQ students are able to learn and grow in a school environment free from bullying and harassment.

THE LINK is a thoughtful look back on a shared experience—memories both cherished and uncomfortable. We talk about all the change we’ve witnessed in our lives and share some of the hardships and some of the joys. Our conversations take unexpected turns: archaeology, religious studies, sustainable ranching, gender identity, just to name a few of the topics we address. (Plus we play clips from The Breakfast Club, Madonna videos and other fun retro stuff.)Fondly, Farah Pandith, Diana Donovan and Meredith Zinner
