Em 1980, uma família se muda para uma casa em Connecticut, por ser mais perto do hospital, onde um dos filhos fazia tratamento contra o câncer. Mas o que eles não sabiam era do passado dessa casa, que tornava o presente totalmente assustador, fazendo eles sofrerem com uma série de eventos paranormais, a ponta de precisarem da ajuda de Ed e Lorraine Warren.
O caso ficou tão famoso e se tornou filme "Evocando Espíritos", lançado em 2009. O que a família Snedeker viveu é mais que apenas um roteiro bem feito pra um filme de sucesso, é um caso REAL.
