Platelių dvaras ilgus metus priklausė prancūzų grafų Šuazel-Gufje (Choiseul-Gouffier) giminei. Per Antrąjį pasaulinį karą mediniai pastatai sudegė, šiandienos sulaukė parkas ir keli mūriniai statiniai, kurie pritaikyti kultūros reikmėms. Užgavėnių muziejinė ekspozicija įsikūrusi Platelių dvaro sodybos arklidėse. Dalia Jakštienė ir Aldona Kuprelytė apie Užgavėnių tradiciją, kuri saugoma tik Plateliuose.
Rokas ir Akvilė Spalinskai ant rankų laiko sūnelį Ąžuolą ir neslepia džiaugsmo dėl spendimo kurti verslą Plateliuose. Daugelį stebina nedideliame Žemaitijos miestelyje prancūziška aplinka. Šeimos restoranas BISTRO PRANCE kvepia kruasanais ir koldūnais.
