This week's Back to the Movies brings us back to another double feature review leading into the big weekend before the Valentine's Day holiday. The day of romance almost always offers a couple of different choices and this year we're being treated to The Lego Batman Movie and John Wick Chapter 2.
Caleb and Alex have high spirited conversations on both films, starting with The Lego Batman Movie. The Lego Movie spinoff put Will Arnett's Batman front in center in his mission to defend Gotham from the clutches of the Joker. Like it's predecessor, the film is filled with easter eggs and cameos from beginning to end. Does it deliver the same kinetic fun as the original? Listen to learn more.
In the second part of our review Caleb and Alex talk about the sequel to the highly acclaimed action film, John Wick. John Wick Chapter 2 drops the more straightforward premise in favor of world building and a chance to flesh out the mythology. Does is result in a better sequel? Tune in to find out.
