About Eleanor:
Eleanor Cho is a Korean American filmmaker and graduate of the USC School of Cinematic Arts. She is dedicated to writing and directing stories of underrepresented communities, and highlighting the extraordinary stories of ordinary people in order to humanize others and inspire empathy. She worked as a Writers’ Production Assistant on THE NEVERS (HBO). She is part of Creative Visions’ Women Excel Project, Visual Communications’ Armed with a Camera Fellowship, and a finalist for NBC Writers on the Verge and Hillman Grad Rising Voices. She also won the Ghetto Film School (GFS) x Dolby Institute “Finish the Script” competition, where she wrote and directed a short film while being mentored by Academy Award-nominated director, Carlos López Estrada (Raya and the Last Dragon). She is currently being mentored by Academy Award-nominated director, Bing Liu (Minding the Gap) through Sophia Chang’s Unlock Her Potential program.
