and look forward to visiting with you. Thank
you very much.
First,
Community Health Systems, CHS,
fights new buyers for three Pennsylvania hospitals
after their original failed $120,000,000
deal.
This is again part of CHS trying to
pay down debt and continue to work at

(00:43):
it.
Second, Houston Methodist, a great, great system,
was gifted 25,000,000,000
for the Department of Medicine. And, again, this
is just another example of how important philanthropy
has become to our teles systems to help
margins and everything work.
Third,
AI tools are being used to identify different
types of dementia at Mayo Clinic.

(01:05):
Again, part of the evolution of AI at
at level, of course, if they would start
to fix it rather than find it, but
this seems like a good start.
Fourth,
Andrew Cass reports on 55 health systems with
strong finances.
Again,
very positive to see some health systems still
reporting very strong finances.
Fifth,

(01:26):
why Judy Faulkner warns Epic employees about being
too Midwest nice.
Again, Epic's the largest
EMR company, EHR company in the country. They've
done an incredible job. Judy's an incredible leader.
Her concept is you do have to be
direct with customers. You can't be too nice
to customers, send the walk over you, or
not get query from what you need. But

(01:48):
but just an interesting theory and thought.
Sixth story, will AI replace health care jobs?
Jails Bruce reports in this. Some yes, some
no, an evolving discussion, evolving situation.
Probably more administrative jobs and clinical jobs, but
some for sure.
Seventh,
the three suite roles that fewer health systems

(02:10):
are prioritizing. This is by Kristen Kuchno.
These include
chief learning officer, chief experience officer, chief administrative
officer, and some more. These are jobs that
are less the focus in hiring of health
systems today than they were a few years
ago.
Eighth,
Anthem University of Missouri Health Care. The CFO
there talks about how the temporary health the
temporary split with Anthem,

(02:31):
the big Blue Cross NC,
was really healthy and a defining moment for
the University of Missouri in standing up for
its situation in itself.
Finally, ninth,
Comet Spirit selects Toni Waller as their chair,
as the chair of the board.
Toni is absolutely remarkable. She's one of the
best people ever. She runs something called the
Leverage Network. We're huge fans. So, again,

(02:54):
congratulations to both Comet Spirit,
and to Tony Waller. Just a fantastic leader,
one of the best in the business.
