These are five labor stories that we're following
today in at Becker's Healthcare.
Like, the first two relate to
Kaiser Permanente in a strike that they have
going on.
The first story is tens of thousands of
Kaiser work workers to begin strike seven weeks

to no. That's covered by Kelly Gooch at
Becker's Healthcare.
Kaiser Permanente is the largest not for profit
health system.
Our our our second story author relates to
the same thing.
How Kaiser plans to deal with this multistate
five day strike again by Kelly Gooch.
The third story we're following is an ongoing
story of strikes in health care in 02/2025.

They don't seem materially worse than last year,
but we're following 28 health care strikes that
have happened so far, 02/2025.
Their start was a lot more. But but,
again,
you you still see this constant tension between
labor and health systems as health system margins
remain relatively
short, and it's very hard to hire people.
So you get this combination of real friction
between labor and systems.

Fourth, a labor deal is reached for 4,000
plus Sutter Healthcare workers.
Again, that's at Sutter.
Sutter is reen by Warren Warner Thomas, a
tremendous leader. That's another story that we're following
that labor deal reached. Finally, the fifth story
we're following is an ongoing story of hospitals'
houses was cutting jobs, and this is covered

so far this year.
