This week begins a new series using this season's focal point on IDENTITY.
It's a storytime series!!! Our storytime character this week will be none other than Abraham -- the father of faith himself! His story didn't start out that way, in fact, his name was Abram. But, like some of us, Abram had an encounter with God that changed his story forever!
In this episode we do a deep dive into Abraham's story and what we can learn about identity through his journey:
- God calls Abram out
- Gives him 8 promises
- Abram takes a huge leap of faith at 75 years old
- He waits 25 years to see the manifestation of the promises of God
- In the waiting, he protects his family, intercedes for nations, makes mistakes but God still hold his promise
- God makes a covenant with Abram and changes his name
- Then Abraham is tested with the greatest test any parent could ever face
We get into all of that and more!
