Most of us have read the articles about a study called: "The Invisible Footprint of Climbing Shoes: High Exposure to Rubber Additives in Indoor Facilities." Researchers from Vienna and Lausanne have found out that we can find tiny parts of climbing shoe rubber in the air of our climbing and bouldering gyms. These particles are so small, that they can enter our lungs and they might be harmful for humans.
Of course, people are concerned and they have more questions, then these articles can answer. So I invited the authors of the study, Anya Sherman and Thibault Masset, for an interview. I wanted to see: What do we really know? And what don't we know yet? I also asked for listener questions - thank you to everyone who participated!
So here is the interview with Anya and Thibault - thank you both for the talk!
