It's impressive to be in a place where you enjoy what you are doing, only to transition to a place that you like even more. You can be happy with something but it may not be what you want to do with your life. If you know in 30 to 40 years that you don't want to be here, you better start doing something about it. Remember, taking the first step is just that, the first step. It is easy to start something new because your progression is so fast at first. Only when you are really good at something does the progression slow down, and that's when most people quit.

There will always be an excuse getting in the way of the realization that right now is the best time to start going after your dreams. Don't be scared to commit to your dreams; the attempt is not a pass/fail but more like taking classes. Each time you attempt, you will learn something new. There will be rough times on the way but you can do it, and you need to tell yourself that. If you don't believe in yourself and what you are doing, then no one will. Be all in or not in at all.

In this episode, we talk about…

  • Cecilia's story
  • The right time to take the first step
  • Role of a good support system
  • Importance of believing in yourself first
  • Perks of being genuine all the time
  • Getting past the fear of failure
  • Holding yourself and others to a higher standard

Are You A Charlotte?

Are You A Charlotte?

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
