In this episode of Breast Cancer Conversations, I had the pleasure of speaking with Cindy Fortuna, a registered holistic nutritionist who specializes in supporting individuals navigating and recovering from cancer. Cindy brings a wealth of knowledge and personal experience to the table, having faced her own cancer diagnosis.
Our conversation covers a range of topics, from the importance of whole foods and maintaining a healthy gut, to the role of stress management in overall health. Cindy emphasized the significance of incorporating nutrient-dense foods like cruciferous vegetables, whole grains, legumes, nuts, seeds, and fermented foods into our diets. She also highlighted the benefits of herbs and spices, such as turmeric and cinnamon, in reducing inflammation and supporting immunity.
We also touched on practical tips for managing stress, the importance of adequate sleep, and the need for proper hydration. Cindy shared her personal strategies for maintaining a balanced lifestyle, including the use of juicers and air fryers to make healthy eating more convenient.
