Welcome to the Builder of All Things Podcast—where we go beyond the pages of the book and explore into the Author’s Cut! 🔥 Join Richie Breaux and Ray Bisnar as they break down each chapter in micro-episodes, giving you the behind-the-scenes insights, deeper wisdom, and real-life applications—just like a Director’s Cut for a book.

Episode 2 of Chapter 7 takes the conversation deeper — from spiritual symbolism to real-world practicality. In the last episode, we introduced the concept of the snake as one of the “Big 3” forces of adversity (Storms, Snakes, and Smoke). Now, we break down what the snake looks like in real life, and how we’re supposed to respond when it shows up.

🎙️ Richie shares stories, scripture, and insight to help you discern the enemy’s tactics, especially when deception comes through people close to you. Whether it’s an employee acting shady, a friend shifting the truth, or someone stirring division — don’t be fooled: the person isn’t the snake, but the snake may be working through them.

🔥 In this episode:
* What the snake looks like in business, family, and leadership
* How to tell the difference between God’s storm and the enemy’s attack
* Why you never attack the person — or else you're fighting on the enemy’s turf
* The danger of fighting in the flesh vs. elevating like the eagle
* What Jesus meant when He rebuked Peter — and how that applies to us

👀 Real talk, spiritual depth, and leadership clarity all collide here. If you've ever felt betrayed, misjudged, or baited into conflict — this one’s for you.

📖 Stick with us as we continue through Chapter 7 of the book in this Author’s Cut series, and get ready for Episode 3 where we bring it full circle.

SPEAKER_01 (00:19):
And so when you talk about like real world terms and
practicality, what would a snakebecause we have visuals of this
and it's great, but what's areal world, what does it look
like in the real world?
Like what's the right thing?
Right, right, right.

SPEAKER_00 (00:30):
So if you could recall, like storms are out of
our control.

SPEAKER_01 (00:34):
The market shifts, prices go up.

SPEAKER_00 (00:37):
Prices go up.
There's just things that Godallows.
And it's and I again we referredto that as a storm.
When it rains, it rains, youcan't stop the rain.
It's just it's gonna rain.
You know, and the wind is iswhat it is.
So when we're looking at thesnake, now this is where most
times it's from a and I'm stilltrying to prey on if there's
some outside of this, but itusually comes through a person.

(01:00):
Yes.
It comes through a person, yeah.
And it's somebody who's tryingto deceive you, yeah.
Somebody who's trying tosabotage you, could be a
company, could be a client, could be an employee, could be
your it could be your partner,it could be your best friend, it
could be your brother.
It's it's when somebody iscoming against your truths,

(01:23):
yeah, and trying to shift themand attacking your character,
your integrity, these thesemoral like compasses you have,
and they're they're poking atit, there's ways to identify
what this is.
So I've seen it in employeesthat are you know trying to
create a deceptive lie goingaround and raising troops up to

(01:43):
kind of start its own littlecompany without anybody knowing,
yeah, versus just coming to theowner directly and saying, Hey,
you know, I I have a desire tostart my own company and you
know, yeah, just being straightup truth.
But the deception starts, thenthe kind of culture shifts.
I seen this, you know, and thesnake is just going to work.
And so although it's comingthrough people, it's never the

(02:06):
person that's very important tostamp.
There was a time in thescriptures where Jesus rebuked
Peter.
I rebuke you, Satan.
Yeah, Peter, Peter wouldprobably have been more.
I was like, yeah, what?

SPEAKER_01 (02:20):
Right.

SPEAKER_00 (02:21):
But it was the the whatever, however, the enemy and
the snake whispered and andworked through Peter.
Yes, it wasn't Peter.
You see where I'm going?

SPEAKER_01 (02:31):
So what's the importance of discerning or
making sure we don't marry thosetwo together?

SPEAKER_00 (02:36):
Just always love the person, first of all, and always
have the lens to look at theperson that there is a
deception, but it's there's away to attack the enemy and not
the person.
And I that's what I want toshare.
You never attack the personbecause if you're attacking the
person, you're fighting thesnake on the ground.
Oh, come on.
Like the eagle.
You're gonna get choked up, man.
You don't go to your wife andsay, get behind me, Satan.

(02:58):
Yeah, sure.
Sure.
I mean, we're gonna fight if Ido that, no matter how how how
much the now Jesus probably cando it to Peter.
That's a totally differentdynamic, you know what I'm
saying?
But as far as like, because he'sGod, God in the flesh.
But as far as a husband to awife, I never would say, Hey
man, you acting like Satantoday.
I'm gonna cut the head off.
You know, you don't do that.

(03:19):
So the person is and can be usedas a vessel for the snake to
work through, but that doesn'tmean attack the person like the
snake on the ground, the eagletrying to attack the snake.
You will you will lose that war.
It will choke you slowly, itwill wrap you, it's baiting you
in.
