As a Calvary Chapel, our family of churches was at the center of the Jesus Revolution of the late 1960s and 1970s, the last great revival to sweep across this country and globe. A key characteristic of our family of churches is the characteristic of being gospel-centered or full of grace and truth. As Pastor Chuck opened the doors to the hippies of his day, people of the prevailing secular culture were welcome to consider the claims of Jesus, and the practical and moral implications of His gospel. This radical culture is part of our past, present, and Lord willing future.
