(01:09):

And it's funny because we have such a special relationship,
as we just pointed that out earlier. Markets is funny
that we all do, even with Blue and you and
I and all of us. It's just a funny, great weird.
We see each other at the Cigar Boar, and my
point is Craig comes down there just search ripping me,
pulling my ash tray away from me. People are looking
at Craig like he's a jerk cough to me because
it almost look like he doesn't know me, and I'm

(01:31):
the guy with the cane on, and it's like, it's
funny how he'll take them. He'll take the big, tough guy,
mean guy look to me, and then yesterday I look
like the mean guy to him. Vice versa. You do
it to me looking like a little chihuahua picking on
a big dog, and you all just pick on me.
What do you mean everybody in the boats are vice

(02:12):
here is as as special as it gets because we
see her as shows here and there, there and here,
Doreen Sullivan. And she's an educated woman and a beautiful
one at that. She has her b A in theater
from u C l A. Can I get an eight
clap hello? She's a brewing folks, give it up for her.
She's a visionary and creative strategy professional speaker, CEO of

(02:33):
the award winning agency Post No Bills and Chronic created
behind cannabis powerhouse brand My Bud Bassdrene Sullivan teaches companies
around the world that the commercial value of creativity is everywhere.
And when you look at my bud base here folks,
and if you're ever at a convention, my bud voss,
it's tomato tomato, you know what I mean. You walk

(02:55):
in and you see it from a distance. You may
read vase for the first time and you ain't walk
up and CM mermaid and she may tell you voss.
Either way, it's M Y b U d v A
s C. And they are on a mission to change
the way the cannabis community fuse water pipes, folks wants
a symbol of unambitious youth. My bud Voss bongs reflect

(03:16):
a culture of kitsie sophistication by converting distinctive flower vases
into diverse array of pipes, from ceramic buddle breakers bubble
breakers that are you guys, to large glass flask. Sullivan
and the my bud Voss team are hoping to destigmatize
cannabis by annihilating old stereotypes are replacing them with progressive,

(03:39):
aesthetically minded spirit. I love everything that you guys do
over there, and is so great to see you every
time douring and it's always nice to see you when
you bring lovely beautiful blue haired mermaids as well. Welcome
you both to the show. Thank you so much. I'm
so honored to be here you guys. I feel like
it's old home. Now we're becoming like this cannabis family. Um.

(04:01):
Thank you for what you do, Thank you for live.
Thank the bud tenders. Let's start off with the bud
tenders for a second, because I think the bud tenders
are the critical link in the cannabis chain. They're the
ones that are facing the new customers. They're educating people,
they're telling them about what cannabis can do for their health.
They're psychiatrists, they're they're athletes, they're they're everything, and they

(04:24):
are literally everything. And that's why we're so obsessed with
this category. This sector is critical for the cannabis journey.
So for all you bud tenders, thank you so much
for your support. I'm so glad to have our pieces
now and more and more retail locations. I really think
it's helping grow our brand is to be we're in
about stores. Took a while to get there. Yeah, we're

(04:45):
really We went from designing one of our kind pieces
and creating arts and now creating a cultural shift, especially
for women in the cannabis space, especially for mermaids in
the cannabis space. But you know what I'm thinking, women
mermaids need cannabis. Well, I mean, you know what, women
have always enjoyed cannabis. But I have to say, the

(05:06):
majority of products are made by men, So it's a
male aesthetic that really starts out the majority of like
the counter culture products. So as a woman who creates
products for a living, it was time to like change
the game because women don't necessarily want the most triple
chamber honeycomb percolating functional peace in the world. We like

(05:27):
to micro dose. We want something by our makeup, we
want something in our kitchen, we want something in our backyard.
We want the aesthetic that we are used to without
the kind of phallic, heady properties. So that's why we've
been so successful. Look, women are like, yes, of course,
right um, And so that's what we're trying to do here.
We're trying to like with our new pieces, our jewel collection,

(05:50):
which we have one for every single one of you guys.
By the way, yes, everybody lost you're flying to Las
Vegas and you're hearing this podcast. Go to Roo Western,

(06:10):
I still have fun from the last time. They were
the smaller one that well, I remember that well maybe
the first time you brought a bunch and they were
they were smaller, they were most storis filled up the
whole table here. They called those Mark Wasserman's baby wasses.
Let's get signs. I'll tell you what. I'll tell you what.

(06:30):
There's a lot of unique you know, you know, you guys,
okay over here and she just joined on the jump on.
I think that's okay. You threw your ring in the hat.
All's fair came on, shots fired green and as we mentioned,
and we were so excited to get these special bonds.

(06:51):
What inspired this new look, because, like you said, it's
it's to me. When I look at it, I think
of that old classic rich bottle of Scotch that was
in my age for cabinet right, and and it just
and it was the one thing ironically that I grew up.
And for me, it was that middle piece, the yellow
goldie looking one round the version and here's the God's

(07:12):
on his truth for you guys. For me personally, and
this is gonna sound crazy, that was the most expensive
piece of art in my home that you know what,
I'm saying, and the art was Dad's liquor that he
hadn't right, And that's the almost and not bulls your
side here, But my family was don't crying right now,

(07:36):
So I didn't want the story when I first the
last time, I'm barely coming out because I couldn't do
it then because I couldn't do it, I was crying.
So my appointed when I see it, it takes me
back to my childhood, going that was the dopest thing
I ever had in my house right now. But the

(07:57):
the inspiration is and so for every one of our pieces,
I come from entertainment marketing, so I look in every
piece is almost like a movie release. It is almost
like the next picture that we're making for my bud face. These,
in particular, the cannabis consumption lounges, I think are going
to change the game for all of us. And in
those places now because your stuff looks like, I mean,

(08:19):
don't get it twisted two you want to do to
your normal your big bond or whatever. But this is
a dope boutique style feel when you go to those
places that you're describing, because you don't necessarily want to
grab a two twitter. This you want to grab something classy, right,
you might you want to have a unique and consumption experience,
and especially if it's in your home or in like

(08:39):
this is like our celebration, This is our ritual. Cannabis
is a ritual, so if alcohol was a ritual. Which
is part of the reason I brought in this piece,
because I really want to be able to show creatively
the difference between you know, alcohol consumption, which is okay
in the world, and cannabis consumption, which is not. And
the difference is so it's only a bowl and like

(08:59):
a property. We all know that our beloved plant is helpful,
but we don't see it in the home enough. And
a lot of the really functional, really amazing pieces are
so heavy so that the average consumer doesn't necessarily feel comfortable,
like we're all here, we know how to get high,
get by, and do all the things we do. But

(09:20):
for new people, especially coming to the market, I think
the aesthetic will help them get introduced to cannabis. I
think to have it in their home and on display
will help them enjoy. You know, it's it's enjoyable. And
if you light a candle with this, the fascinated glass
just dances on your table and the senses. When you're
developing products, you should always tie into your senses. You're

(09:40):
sign your sound. I want to put you on this show.
She's you know, that's why because she's a yapper and
a clapper. You know, when did you? When did you? Joe?
You're It's coming. It's coming Joe soon, I promise you.

(10:02):
But what I think is great about this, what I
would do with it? What I what I would do well,
of course, right in the middle of the middle of
the dining table, and you're eating dinner and you're pulling,
and you're having a smoke while you're eating, and it's
just like perfect elegant dinner. You're not invited because you
eat too much. So we were actually just talking about

(10:24):
this and and I might be speaking a little early,
so just but just imagine, imagine. Yes, yes, so we're
we're gonna have a dinner at MJ biscon Um. You
know that we're putting together for probably about maybe two
hundred people in the industry um and maybe maybe even less,

(10:45):
maybe a hundred hundred fifty people. And and we're gonna
do it at a at a restaurant, a very nice
restaurant that that we all know that we all know,
and it's just it's it's a beautiful place where we're
negotiating the deal now and we can consume, can consume.
And this is one of the highest and highest and
recognized you know companies every everything. You know, what company

(11:07):
you you know, you'll know in Vegas. Yeah, yeah, and
they said that we would, uh, you know, we're negotiating
our deal. But if we can make that happen, I
would love to have exactly what you just said, Mark,
you know, at the tables right there, because you know
they're gonna be serving dabs and stuff like that, but
these would be fantastic right there at the location. Shut

(11:33):
up here behind you, Just shut the funk up himself.
I'll talk about your big brother, Mark. What you said,
you said, Well, what did you guys do last night?
Oh god, here we go. They pretend to hate each other.
Joe's my bestie. Funny thing is your radio, so you

(11:58):
want to and everything cannabit Here we go, Cannabis Talk
one oh one, the world's number one source for everything cannabis.
Oh u c l A. That's a good school. I
went's easier. Well, thank you, We'll be right back to
clap two. We'll be right back after these messages, we'll

(12:21):
be right back with Cannabis Talk one oh one. Welcome
back to Cannabis Talk one oh one. Kelly f X

(12:41):
is full and broad spectrum. Hemp extracted products contain C B, D, CBG,
and some thirteen hundred other elements naturally derived from the
hemp and plant. Go feel the effects at calli effects
dot com. We are here with Doreen from my bud
face and I want to know because I'm very interested

(13:02):
that theater de agree that you got at U c
l A. I'm a theater arts major myself. You are
a theater arts that was my major. Like I have
to get back on stage one of these days. I
guess this is as close at hello, ladies. My major's
radio television in field and we're talking about theater. Get
out of the same We're all the same department. We're
all the same building, you guys. Yes we are. We're

(13:23):
all the same. And that's where I went to school
and I wanted to go so much so so are
we right? So my point, at one point I wanted
to go to U c l A. For the theater department,
for the radio intelligent film. What happened? Why didn't you?
I couldn't afford to leave San Jose. I watch, that's
what happened. I was a broke kid, but let me
that's what happened both here. I didn't money in the world,

(13:46):
but I couldn't leave town. I didn't know. What do
you want to hear from the first? Pretty much? Rhinoceros
was a rhinoceros And we cannot guys in fact like theater,
you know, I I still look at everything through the
lens of entertainment marketing. I'm I'm a Hollywood brat. My
father was a prop maker. He built what we were
seen and Willy Wonka and the child my dad built

(14:10):
that scene scene a gusto glue. Hey, who was I
for Halloween? You were? Willie Wonka were? But I'm guessing.
But what else? I had a really good Willie Wonka.
I'm not gonna you know you were good. That's a
little weird right now. But I I had the both

(14:33):
of you guys. It was my hand was what else
did he do? What other? What other notable props or
things did he work? My father he built the go
cart for Gilligan's Island. He had a crush on Marianne. Yeah,
like here, you know the other thing about Gilligan's Island
is Marx actually two inches shorter than Tattoo on that show.

(14:57):
I mean, like I'm five three, You're not even your
way taller than me. Say, I had to give him
the props. Joe has PTSD and and complex. That's why
I always has to make fun of me. You attacked
me sensitivity. Hey, I'm trying to find out all this
cool information. What else? Okay? So I grew up in
Hollywood Pratts. I was literally like thrown on the operating

(15:19):
table and mash. My father was a prop maker, and
I loved team and all that too, probably all, I mean,
the whole thing. I was a tour guide and Universal
Studios and on my side of the tram it's e
t s you know. So like I grew up in
a very theatrical world, and I'm also a product developer.
I'm a maker and maker's gotta make and so making

(15:42):
products like this, Like I hid my consumption my whole
life and then but I consumed it to be creative.
I mean, cannabis to me is a creative avenue and
somehow I just put it together and started creating my
own products in this space. And that was in two
thousand fifteen when I started. And now here we are,
you know, almost seven years later, and I think we
have the largest female scalable brand in our marketplace. And

(16:06):
you know, it's like opportunities like this, like this Mermaid here.
When we launched our Mermaid Bond, we launched to the
mermaids first, not to our cannabis culture. And I think
one of our problems in this industry is we're all
speaking to each other in this little, big pool of cannabis,
and so we need to now get beyond our own
walls and get out. So when I marketed to the

(16:28):
Mermaids first, there's pods all over the world. How many
Mermaid parts are there? There's like in every country, in
every state there's a different pod, and then there's different pods,
like in Los Angeles County there's a whole bunch of
different pods. So when are you guys are a pod community?
Like does everybody know? Like if you go to like
say New York, are you gonna be able to tap
into the mermaid community there? Yes, you can. You can

(16:49):
reach out. And that's what's so cool about social media.
You know, you can reach out to someone from the Philippines,
someone from France, like what's the website for that? How
do you guys find each other? Like a hashta and
all to just hashtag mermaid or something like how do
you watch out? So many? Yeah, it's wild PHC Sirens specifically.

(17:09):
And that's what's so nice is being able to have
a piece that is like an incomplete vibe. You know,
when I'm by the pool, everyone's like, oh my god,
what you're smoking out of a mermaid? Like you're a
mermaid smoking out of a mermaid and you can totally
nobody has to know. But luckily I'm allowed to be
out and about about it now. So I love it.
Every time I smoke out of it, people are just like,

(17:31):
what is that piece? Where did you get that? Well?
You know, And it's funny because the Mermaid community, I feel,
is growing right. It's it's not like a joke, it's
not like whatever. I believe. It's almost to the point
of the Disney community that has the Disney gangs that
I never knew about until I started going to Disney
more often, and they have the I don't know if
you guys know they got the Mickey mouse click that

(17:52):
all this, click this. Like my point is it's the
same type of clips with mermaids and different cities. Where
Houston we're but we're Washington. It's exactly. They're everywhere dressed
us and listen. Where you just want to have a
vibe and whatever you like, you like and so it's
just amazing that there's so many different looks to mermaiding.
It's just like everything else. So having aps that just

(18:14):
goes with there are there boy mermaids, there are wouldn't
that be a merman wants to swim with the mermaid
if you could give him in, if you could get
him in a in a suit this, I'm sure he'll
be there. Joe. Tonight the mermaids are swimming in the

(18:36):
pool party. So all we got all of our mermaids
and number one, we're going to have our party with
pipes and we're going to be swimming with mermaids and
we're gonna y can't get can we get Joe um
and outfit as we both look good? Want to get it?

(19:01):
You know where to get it? Listen, check it out, Joe,
here's the deal. We're you know what we're doing. It happen.
Here's the problem. I got an ankle. Probably I put
my mermaid in the in the ankle, my ankle in
the mermaid thing. I'm gonna need to be shipped. I'll
do it, but I just need assistance. Let us borrow

(19:21):
their little trolley and we can set you on the bill.
Hupper is continuous. You know what, You're gonna see the
sexiest little mermaid in a hair pulled back suit that
you'll ever see right here at G four lived come out.
It's official, like a referee with its down. I wint
fund this. I will pay for everything. Please. When we

(19:44):
come back, we're to talk about it's Cannabis Talk one one.
That's come back more and we'll be right back after this.
We'll be right back with Cannabis Talk one oh one.

(20:49):
to have your fun. When I sit next to you,
this is what happens. You're always asking me, how do
you pronounce words? And you me everybody, everybody here, here's
the best part of what does happen right now? Mark
just said this, and everybody listening, that's the best part
about what this happened. Earlier you order show started you guys.
I swear to God, you guys, I point out my screen,

(21:09):
so nobody knows this. And I've done this in the
past million, ten million times since we've worked together in
the five years. He saved my ass more than more

Jan Erica, Daniel cal Christian A Christian s Denny p Funk, Connor,
Abby Kimberly, Selina Cash Camp, Solar, Nadia, Ali Pitt, christ Fank.

(22:19):
You know Jennifer and Elvis. Where are all those people
on the last day. It looks like they're probably still
room went pretty wild looking sexual here, Doreen's be gonna
looking sexy. How did this whole little let me grab
the mermaid community come out here with you? Are they
I don't even know? Are they with you here? Or

(22:41):
how is that? Are you guys together? When I started
working with the Mermaid Bong, I actually reached out to
the mermaid culture. I just googled it, I went on Instagram,
and I started realizing I knew that there was a
counterculture with mermaids, and I thought for us, it would
be better to start with the mermaids and not our
own industry, because if I could bringing an entire subculture

(23:02):
to the cannabis community, that I'm expanding because our words
are artistry, inspiration, and evolution, and to evolve this industry
and pull in other cultures into cannabis as opposed to
us just living in our cannabis culture together is one
of our goals. So I mean, I can't even begin
to tell you. All over the world there are mermaids

(23:22):
that have this bong. We've probably made I don't know, five, six,
seven thousand of these mermaids. You have another pink and
purple one coming soon. I just teased the colors and
like literally, I was like, I have to have it.
And that's why I want shiny, sparkly, beautiful things I
will enjoy. What do you want to write like? I
would think it's so perfect and it is mermaid vibes.

(23:43):
Mermaid vibes, you know, you know, I'll tell you what
genius story. You know. Yeah, during what you just said
is expanding, expanding the whole industry and building on on,
you know, cultures and bringing different you know, um like
minded individuals together when you know, because we're so close
to all kinds of different people, that all actually, you know,

(24:03):
to find a common ground. We all live on a
common ground. And but but sometimes it's hard to find
each other. And so by reaching out, you you actually,
you know, make that effort to bring in a new community.
And then you got one, you know, and that's that's
so important. And we have known each other. She is
backed at my business for so long. We've never met
this we just literally met for the first times. And

(24:27):
now we're going to have such a great day together.
And then I'll be said, what was your name? I
apologize for even asking your name. No, no, that was
very rude of usaid, I'm from California, Los Angeles in
Manhattan Beach. Okay, oh my god, I have our places
in Old Torrance right now and everything. We're just we're

(24:52):
just in Orange County too, so we're all we're all
from californ Get Mermaids out of campus. We do all
this inside of our Remember Mermaids a story recently or
maybe I don't know how long ago, it was about
Mermaids that were swimming in an aquarium and there was
a whole thing about it. What can you talk about that?

(25:14):
Or do you know about it? Yeah, I've heard about
I try to stay. I just try to stay in
my own little swimming lane. And I don't get but
it sounds like they were getting they were wrong. It
was something. It sounds like they were epitomized. Yeah, I
know that. There wasn't supposed to be cameras in a
room where Yeah, that was it. That was that, Joe
Joel what now see you were you know what? It

(25:35):
sounds that market Junior High school. They had a camera there.
That's disgusting. Yeah, yeah, that's why. The worst thing anybody
could do is catch while you're using the bathroom. Come
on that what it is like, there's like some weirdo
fetish stuff that's cold. Don't come to my room called
there's a whole thing that Wait, we just learned a

(25:57):
whole new word. Put that in your converter right then,
I'm not gonna it would be something like it would
be something like I'm not going to smoke with them,
mrverts Blue. That sounds so poetic, like it sounds like
a real line like it now I'm trying to use it.

(26:19):
Say it again. I want to hear that again. I'm
not going to smoke with that murvts. It sounds so legit.
It's such a good it's an old school where you
go down the water hole. The artistry of a mermaid
is like phenomenal. Like I I thought it was like
a fun entertainment thing, but when they're there are women

(26:39):
that literally are diving to the bottoms of the ocean
to save animals. There are over the world. So like
my my brain, this is my brain scan on there.
I had brain surgery six years ago. I swim now
because like they missed diagnosed me for a week, I
should have died there and something like hippie cool check

(27:00):
this this is spiritual, yeah that, this is like physical therapy.
This is like my therapy, going to swim, being able
to raise awareness by it little kids who are like
mermaid tails. I gotta say, this is my brain scan.
And like also it ties in with why I do
smoke that I was on anti caesure meds. I was
on all these things off of it because I just

(27:21):
used cannabis. Why plant based medicine that doesn't mate and
how long ago did it take it one week without
knowing and then a week and then you started using cannabis.
Tell us more about the story, please, Yeah, I want
to hear your your your testimonial, because that's just a
great intro to elaborate. Please. I love I just love
the whole story of yourself too, though. Yeah, because like

(27:44):
you said you you yeah, like like because that's a
brain scan. So you said you in a week without knowing,
you could have died. Like that's such a touching. I'm
touched already, right, So now I want to I want to,
I want to I want to prod uh with that
being said, what happened? How do you know us? And
what did you do? So at twenty eight, I thought
it was just a migraine. First emergency room, I wanted

(28:07):
a scan. I thought I had metingitis. I was so stiff,
but they just saw a young kid and so they
shot me up with nerve blockers and sent me home.
So my neurologist heard that. Even I went and saw
my primary doctor. They all misdiagnosed it until my eyes
started to cross in and then that emergency room was like,
something's not right. Scanned me. I had a suberachnoid hemorrhage.

(28:30):
They're like, we can't do the surgery here. So I
got life lighted and had brain surgery that they can
do now through your groin, so I didn't have to
have a craniotomy. And when I was recovering in the hospital,
I just I was a water polo player and a swimmer,
so I really was I had nothing else to do,
and I found the Mermaid community on YouTube and I

(28:51):
was like, that is so cool, and I just thought,
how badass would it be to the thing that should
have killed me be on a tail in like a fun, silly,
fun way, and so be because it ties in. That's
why I mean, like I'll be at the beach taking
pictures with the bong and people come and be like,
oh my god, that's like that's a phase that that's
so beautiful like it is, and I love that, Like

(29:11):
this really does help me. Not only helps you, but
everything about your story is love and truth and life
and live and it's wonderful to hear that. Just know
what the symbolization is on your mermaid thing makes that
so much more beautiful. For I'm gonna almost now ask
every female or male that has one of the done
Does that mean anything? Now I have a reason to
ask that. Why do you ask that? Because I learned

(29:33):
that somebody did that and maybe more people are doing that,
are in mental health. I mean, we don't all feel great.
But when I put on the tail and I look mermazing,
I can take pictures and I can look at the wow.
So I love like I seriously tote this around. I
love the all of her pieces. It's a whole vibe.
It's a whole just like life is too short. You

(29:54):
should enjoy when I am using cannabis. I want it
to be a whole experience and it is. And you
know what, everything you're doing is phenomenal. Thank you for
your journey. I'm glad cannabis helped you and, like you said,
saved your life. Do you feel like that's phenomenal and
you have now some props to use with this Mermaid life, Dorene,
you're making the mermaid community better, You're bringing it together,

(30:14):
You're doing it. You're doing it here at expos. We
love seeing you at every other thing that we do
and can't wait to do more with you. Like Blue
just said, that was a wonderful because when we thought
you thought of this idea to do, and we said that,
and then you brought that. I was like, oh no,
I just I can totally just see it. Yeah, this
is for the everyday person that that that is grown,

(30:35):
that wants something in their home that doesn't flash hey
I'm I'm smoking cannabis, but but yet represents in such
a strong way for a grown folk. And I just
I feel like this is this is in my in
my home. That's why I say I'm a sophisticated It's
it's it's really quality. And depending on which way you

(30:56):
turn it and where you have it, maybe you want
to expose it, maybe somebody is coming over. You don't
want to expose it, and do whatever you want. Protect
your timing to have a conversation with the child that
needs it. You can protect your timing's when you have
a neighbor come over, just turn it around. And that
flexibility is what drove me for this product. I had
my final hide the bong dance in two thousand and fifteen.

(31:18):
I'm like, that's fucking it. I'm over at the very
next like, I'm going to change this. It's been bothering
me my entire life. I've been subject to, you know,
dirty bongs, ballad bongs didn't work out. I don't know.
I don't know how to use it. It's too hot,
it's too torchy, and I wanted something beautiful. So thank you,
guys so much what you do. Thank you for like,
I feel like we belong together. I just wanna. I

(31:41):
just think you made the title of our new show,
the Final behind the Bong Dance. I feel like by
the Bulls, the Chicago Bulls on ESPN with Michael Jordan's
So this is this is uh, this is something very special, guys,
and remember this. If no one else loves you, we do.
