Seinfeld Episode 17 (Season 8) Summery: “Kramer asks Jerry to bring him some Cubans from Florida so he can start his own cigar business. Elaine shocks everyone when she admits to hating the movie The English Patient. Jerry competes with octogenarian Izzy Mandelbaum. George is attracted to a woman because she confused him for her boyfriend. Lloyd Bridges guest stars.”
Original air date: March 13, 1997
This week on Cartwright! A Seinfeld Podcast, Adam and Corey breakdown and review the debut of the Mandelbaums on Seinfeld! This is an interesting episode since one host went into the review loving the The English Patient and one went in hating it already. Maybe their preconceived notions clouded their visions (in either direction) but at the very least this is a great example of how huge a role nostalgia plays in their enjoyment of these episodes!
