Releasing Resentment

There are three scenes in the Bible where David deals with a man named Shimei.  Shimei really hurt David.  In these scenes, we learn about forgiving like we want God to forgive us.

Don’t be easily hurt.       
Don’t expect people to be perfect. 
Don’t wait to settle differences.       
Don’t forget forgiveness is best for you. 
Don’t forget how much you’ve been forgiven.                                     
Stay off the judgment seat.
Show kindness to the one who hurt you.                                               
Be big enough to forgive.
