Hello Makkale,

Hope you're doing well. In this week's episode, we talk about Mani Ratnam's directional Ponniyin Selvan 2 which is the second part of the epic Drama Ponniyin Selvan 1 (PS1) released last year.

In this episode, we had two guests Bharathi Srinivasan and Cranberry with us who had mixed feeling about the movie as much as I did.

In this episode, we discussed:

  • How did they like the diversion from the Source material?
  • Did they like that the Movie is focused primarily on Aadita Karikaalan and Nandhini?
  • What they would have liked to see instead of the War sequence between the Cholas and Rashtrakootas?
  • Did they miss seeing Manimekalai in the Movie and adding her character would have done something to the plot?
  • If given a chance what will they do with the Source Material from Ponniyin Selvan's Novel?
  • Have they read any Novel/Books which takes the lead from the end of the Ponniyin Selvan book?

Hope you enjoy listening to this episode.
