میما، یک خواننده ی محبوب و مردمی، تصمیم می گیره تا حرفه ی خوانندگی را به قصد بازیگر شدن، کنار بذاره. تغییر چهره ی اجتماعی و تبلیغاتی ناشی از این تصمیم، روح و روان میما رو تحت فشار قرار میده و زندگی رو براش سخت می کنه. مساله زمانی بغرنج تر میشه که قتل ها و سوء قصدهایی هم در اطراف میما اتفاق می افتن ...
بدون شک، آبی تمام عیار، یک سر و گردن از زمانه و دوره ی خودش جلو هست و این مساله رو باید مدیون توانایی های تکنیکی، هنری و ادبی ساتوشی کن، نویسنده و خالق این فیلم دونست. فیلم با جلوه هایی آشنا از سینمای انیمه آغاز میشه و کم کم مرزهای این سبک و گونه ی سینمایی و نمایشی رو فرسنگ ها گسترش میده. تلفیق عناصر انیمیشن و انیمه با داستانی جدی، عمیق و به روز، طیف وسیعی از مخاطبین سینما رو پای این فیلم پیشگویانه نشونده.
در بیست و یکمین اپیزود از پادکست سینماسلف، به وسوسه ای که از آغاز شکل گیری سینماسلف در ذهن مون وجود داشت، عمل کردیم؛ پرداختن به انیمیشن! و از این بین، قرعه به یک انیمیشن ژاپنی افتاد. آبی تمام عیار نمونه ی خوبی از سینمایی هست که محدود به قواعد و اصول از پیش تعیین شده نمیشن و مخاطبین رو وارد دنیای جدیدی از هنر و سرگرمی می کنن. در این اپیزود، از ابداعات ساتوشی کن گفتیم و تلاش کردیم توضیح بدیم که او چطور با استفاده از یک داستان قوی، آگاهی به ابزار سینمای انیمه و یک شخصیت پردازی فوق العاده، تونسته مخاطب رو بیشتر از یک فیلم سینمایی، به درون ذهن و روان شخصیتی متزلزل وارد کنه.
