Week 6 is in the books, and what looked like it was not going to be a very exciting week of college football proved to be anything but that. The premiere matchup of the night had #3 Miami visiting #18 Florida State. Despite a late comeback by the Seminoles, the Hurricanes proved to be the more dominant team as they walked away with a 28-22 win. Andy Staples, Ross Dellenger and Steven Godfrey discuss Miami's performance, the emergence of Malachi Toney and the overwhelming Miami defense. Plus, they chat about if Miami will be the number one seed in the CFP and if FSU can still make a run for the playoff? Then, the guys discuss the most shocking upset of the day as 0-4 UCLA defeated #7 Penn State. Behind newly named OC Jerry Neuheisel, UCLA scored 42 points and hung on to win 42-37. After two devastating losses, what is going on with Penn State, and are there brighter days ahead this season?
Later, the guys discuss another upset from Saturday as Florida took down #9 Texas. Arch Manning continued to struggle as he threw two interceptions on the way to a 29-21 Florida win. With so much hype entering the season, how can Arch turn his season around, or is it time to bench Arch Manning? Andy, Ross and Godfrey discuss this and if there is a path for Texas to still make it to the CFP?
Lastly, the guys discuss the other big matchup of the day that saw #10 Alabama avenge last season's upset and beat #16 Vanderbilt. Ty Simpson impressed with over 300 yards passing as Alabama continues to look like a much different team than the one the country saw in the first week of the season when they lost to Florida State. Is Alabama the team to beat out of the SEC despite their early season struggles? A difficult schedule will soon show what can be expected out of this team.
