Mesa redonda con motivo del 50.º aniversario de la publicación de Mortal y rosa (1975) de Francisco Umbral con la participación de la catedrática de Literatura Española de la Universidad Complutense de Madrid y escritora Fanny Rubio y el catedrático jubilado de Literatura Española de la Universidad Complutense de Madrid y crítico literario Santos Sanz Villanueva, moderada por la periodista Lara Siscar. El cortometraje Mortal y Rosa (2025), escrito y dirigido por Sonia Tercero Ramiro, se proyecta al inicio de la sesión.
Cuatro años antes de la publicación de Mortal y rosa, el diario íntimo y elegíaco donde el escritor recuerda la muerte de su hijo, Francisco Umbral había obtenido en 1971 una beca de Creación Literaria de la Fundación Juan March para escribir la novela autobiográfica publicada con el título Los males sagrados (1973).
